Went for my birthday meal with my family. Perfect atmosphere for a Sunday night meal, food is delicious and has a wonderful atmosphere. Homely and welcoming and kind staff. And our dog was allowed in too! Great evening and thank you.

Very cute spot, the chef & waitress were both very kind and helpful, and the spaghetti carbonara was delicious. The pancetta was crispy, the sauce creamy, and I loved the touches of pomegranate seeds on top.

I recently dined at Primavera, it was a wonderful experience!! I ordered the Penne al Norma, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection:) The service was impeccable, with a special mention to my server, who was attentive, friendly, and made the meal even more enjoyable. The ambiance was equally amazing, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made the evening feel special. The quality was 10/10 Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience!

Popped in here for lunch on the spur of the moment - after having checked the Google review rating and seeing is as a 4.8....how misled we were. Seems to be a family run place and I'm sure they do really care, but this is nowhere near a 4.8/5. Food is not particularly authentic (e.g. cream and onions in a carbonara), and isn't completely awful, but it doesn't taste good. Portions are huge and the prices are cheap however! Service was exceptionally slow despite there being 3 other people in the restaurant other than us. Atmosphere was fine, I suppose, although the interior design is pretty dated, it was exceptionally hot inside the restaurant despite not being particularly hot weather, and the music choice was extremely mixed with some quite bizarre song and genre choices. Would recommend to avoid.

Food is great here. Fresh, good quality, honest pricing. Excellent pizzas, big enough even for a hungry pig of myself. Super tasty ravioli, freshly squeezed orange juice and: Italian music! Also, one would very rarely meet with so welcoming and joyful people who work here. Six stars to the lady who was helping us to have an amazing meal. Highly recommended.

What an amazing little restaurant we stumbled upon! The food is 10/10 excellent and the staff are so lovely, it feels like home as soon as you walk in. Also for the quality of the food, it is very decently priced. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you again :)

Visited a couple of weeks ago for a birthday celebration. Fabulous service, lovely food, at a reasonable price. Family run restaurant which we will definitely return to.

Went for dinner with family, 3 adults and 3 kids. The service was outstanding, so genuinely welcoming. It didn’t take long to realize it was a family run restaurant, the daughter as our server, her father in the kitchen. Service and food are done with so much pride it is definitely noticed and appreciated. Loved it!

Went on a Tuesday at 6pm and it took 50 minutes for food to arrive yet there was only 1 other table seated. The pasta was garnished with pomegranate seeds despite this not being listed on the menu, nor did the waiter ask if these were fine to add or ask if anyone has any allergies. The chef did not appear to care or understand the severity of adding an allergen without consent, and the waiter tutted and sighed when I respectfully said that I would not be paying service charge tip in light of the poor service. Overall, really disappointing and I cannot understand how it takes almost 1 hour to make pasta.

Few restaurants convey love in their food the way this one did. A small, family owned restaurant operated with a dedication to delicious food and welcoming service. The seafood pasta dishes are Excellent.

First visit, went for supper with a friend, who had booked, just as well, got busy. Lovely family run Italian restaurant. Excellent service, very welcoming. Gorgeous, reasoanbly priced food, and beautifully presented. I had the crab and prawn linguine served in a crab shell, large portions, garnsished with rocket. My starter was lovely mushrooms stuffed with gorgonzola cheese. Plenty of water, why are some restuarants so reluntanct to give you tap water? House wine reasonably priced, and very drinkable. But, good wine list if you want to spend more. I live in South London, so this was a pleasant visit to trendy Church St, Stoke Newington. And the waitress served us a Limoncello with the bill. I'll be back.

Lovely atmosphere at this family-run restaurant! We ate calves liver and haddock with fresh vegetables; delicious. To follow, homemade gelato and limoncello on the house!

The food was great, one of the best authentic Italian restaurants I’ve been to in North London. We reached the restaurant about 30 minutes before it was closing but Jim the chef and owner was very attentive and friendly made all the dishes from scratch it tasted so fresh and wonderful, he was able to make the carbonara vegetarian for me and it was delicious. Great family owned restaurant definitely recommend.

really recommend primavera16 as one of the best restaurants in stokey - for food quality, service, and price. some of the best pasta i’ve had outside of italy without a doubt! the service was very warm and hospitable too. definitely don’t miss this gem of an establishment. i wish we found it sooner.

The cozze were really good. However, when the main course arrived the prawns were just mush and the calves liver was both stringy and slimy at the same time. I chose this restaurant because the menu reminded me of all the times I have been to Venice. The food was SO bad, it has put me off going back to Italy. Not sure how you can get prawns so wrong? Worst Italian food I’ve ever had.

Can't fault this small family run, gem of an Italian restaurant in Stoke Newington. The food was nicely presented, cooked to perfection and modestly priced. Deserves to do well, thoroughly recommended.

Nothing bad about this place - will be back

Came in for lunch and the food was gorgeous, the crab and prawn linguine came in an actual crab shell too! The waitress also gave me a shot of Limoncello on the house, and will be back for sure!

Super average place, quality of Margarita pizza almost looked like Lidl’s. The atmosphere was ok. It was really clean place but it was no vibe. I haven’t tried more food, maybe their pasta etc are good.

Wow I'm really surprised how good the reviews are for this place. Food was really inferior. I saw sausage pasta on the menu - I said to the waiter I'll order that because it's hard to get Italian sausage in the UK and it's not a dish I see on menus very often. The waiter agreed with me and said "that's why we use chorizo"!! I was horrified - it's nothing like salsiccia - and ordered something else which was also awful. My friends ate it and I ate nearly nothing. As someone who knows Italian food very well this restaurant is inauthentic and pretty awful, I really felt I wasted my money.

The best Italian in Stoke Newington. My go to when I get pasta cravings. It’s delicious and fresh ingredients coupled with professional and friendly service make for a truly authentic Italian experience. Having lived in Italy, walking into Primavera feels like I’m transported back to a Tuscany village. The smells, music and atmosphere match the exquisite cuisine. Do yourself a favour, when that green, white and red coloured flag cravings come calling, pop in here. I have yet to have anything less than a world class meal.

We ate here on New Year’s Eve and the food was amazing! The bruschetta was really tasty and pasta dishes were great. Good wine choices too!

Please check this place out. From the outside the place looks modest but the food is of the highest quality at reasonable price. I had the tagliatelle with prawns and scallops, the tagliatelle were fresh the flavours and textures were spot on! I’m going to think about my pasta dish for a while. Check it out!

We just had an amazing dinner here! The food was consistently excellent - complements to the chef! The food does take a little while to come out, but it does show that it is freshly made and care is put into making it!

Went there on Saturday with some friends. We were shown to a table waited 25 minutes for our wine eventually took our order one hour later we got our starter Luke warm as it was sitting there waiting for the waitress to serve it. The food was very good but the service was appalling so would not go there again

All menu lists are cooked from scratch. My wife and I always come here at least once a month. They have lunch/daily specials. Staff are friendly and do have time to talk to their customers. It's a family owned business. Reasonable and affordable prices too.

This is the most beautiful little Italian restaurant I have had the pleasure of dinning in for a long time. The service is excellent, friendly and warm. And the food is out of this world. I would highly recommend paying this family run restaurant a visit. As you will really feel at home, welcome, and be fed some amazing Italian food with great presentation. An absolutely charming place run by the most wonderful couple. The food is outstanding - and we are comparing it to our recent three week stay throughout Italy. Excellent Italian restaurant in Stoke Newington. We always enjoy coming here as the food is truly tasty, super fresh and the owner is a great cook and extremely friendly. Very reasonably priced too. My linguini del pescatore were full of mussels, shrimps, calamari and a tasty sauce, truly delicious.

Pleased to announce I’m pregnant with an Italian food baby after eating here. Amazing authentic Italian food, genuinely friendly service and an elegant atmosphere. I had the cod dish which was so impressively presented and tasted fantastic. My family were equally happy with their pesto linguine and spinach ravioli. Highly recommend.

I have just one thing to say: Primavera serves the best Linguini Vongole I have experienced outside of Italy. Superb!

I went in primavera with my wife, and I just loved everything. We ordered a salmon with pasta ( salmone ) Italian classic culinary. After that we ordered a Chocolate Suffle cake with ice cream. Everything amazing, the chief is a good person and very professional. I recommend everyone to go in this place.

Came on a quiet Tuesday night and had a lovely time! The staff were so nice and friendly, the pasta dishes we had were delicious, and we didn't feel like we were encouraged to leave in a rush even though we were the last customers. Definitely coming back!!

This restaurant had a cute atmosphere, you can tell it’s family owned. The portions line up with the price, I left full having had the bruschetta starter which was absolutely delicious and the crab/prawn pasta.

Small family run italian. Run by Italians. Took my partner for father's day. I can honestly say it's the first italian I've been to where every dish was freshly cooked tasted amazing everyone in our party was happy from starters to deserts. Very rare to please everyone but they managed it hands down. The hosting was outstanding made us feel like we were vip guests. I did worry for the bill but was gob smoked when the bill arrived a family of 4 with a bottle of wine and spirits starters mains for all and deserts we paid £100.25 I would have paid double for the quality and service. I highly recommend such a hidden gem. we will now be eating italian more often. Thanks again primavera for a fantastic afternoon. Carrie and family.

Great waiter great chef great food great atmosphere!

Bad service and tasteless food. Sat waiting for food for over an hour and when we asked the waiter and said it had been a long wait he just said it was coming now (which it wasn’t) and then gave a horrible glance. If waiting around for food didn’t ruin the atmosphere already, his inattentive waiting skills made sure. After waiting around for the food because we had seen reviews saying how good it was, we were surely disappointed. The food was not even slightly good. My partners sauce was gloopy and tasteless and mine tasted as if from a packet. If the waiter had been more forthcoming and polite I probably wouldn’t have written a review.

My 1st time going there but not my last very good food a varied not expansive specials board I had the linguine Vongolè then veal Escalope all cooked exactly how I asked 4 it. They serve Morretti on draught good pint. Prices more than reasonable no service charge Inc. Typical old school Italian restaurant would thoroughly recommend it

Found this place and decided to go in for happy hour, but ended up staying for dinner as well! The staff were so lovely and welcoming and even gave us complementary olives. The restaurant is light and airy and the food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Would recommend going for the 241 cocktails (Tuesday-Thursday 5-7pm), and to have the crab linguine - one of the best I've had including in Italy! Thank you so much, we will be back very soon!

Came here for lunch. The restaurant is bright and airy. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we were really looked after by the staff. I thought is was reasonably priced too. Especially for a cool place like Church st Stoke Newington.
