We decided to meet mum for coffee one morning here. We haven’t visited here in a long time. We were really pleasantly surprised how lovely it was. Scone was baked just the way we like it, not underdone. Along with jam and cream. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Then we went into the adjoining butchers to purchase a roast and other treats, along with fruit and vegetables. Great to get everything under one roof.

I rang to check the butchers had some lamb legs left and was told they had but not to leave it too late in the day to come. So I went there as quickly as possible (about half an hour) and asked for a piece of lamb leg and was told that they had none cut and I would have to come back later. The young lad i was dealing with was embarrassed when i told him I had called beforehand. He told one of the senior butchers who very grumpily went and butchered the lamb leg for me, giving me a piece which turned out to be at least 30% bone - much of it pelvic bone, which i would not expect in a lamb leg. The lamb itself was very average. Firstly, I've never been at a butchers where they're reluctant to cut up meat and where they ask you to come back at a more convenient time for them. Secondly, the meat is not cheap and was very mediocre. I had previously had a similar experience last Christmas where I'd called up for a ham joint and was told i had to be there in person to order it. I drove there immediately (took 15 mins to get there) and was told they had none left. Never going back.

I recently witnessed the absolute cheek of an operations manager/manager called Nicola to an employee, the disgusting behaviour towards said employee was unspeakable. Also I was informed that employees are not “ALLOWED” to wear gloves while packaging meat!! During the height of a pandemic!!! Absolutely appalling behaviour!!!!

My daughter and I had afternoon tea here last week. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon and we had a very pleasant time. The combination of sandwiches, scones and buns was very good, not overpowering, as so many afternoon teas are. Some might say that the portions were small but, I'm a big guy with a decent appetite and it was enough for me, after all it's afternoon tea, not dinner. And at the price (£6.50), it was a bargain. If you're hungry, get two!

Primacy food village is a wonderful place to buy all sorts of fantastic meat, fish, vegetables and meals. The food quality here is just fantastic, and the prices are great - you get what you pay for and spending that little bit extra on a home made pie (for example) gives you a completely different experience than eating something from the supermarket!I can't recommend this place highly enough - for the simple reason there is something for everyone.Frozen home made Yorkshire puddings, frozen home made chicken goujons, just as cheap and as the supermarket and light years away in quality.Give it a go, you won't be dissapointed.

Came here today with my friends to visit the tea room and to pick up a few items. The food itself was lovely and plenty of it so I cannot complain, however one of the members of staff who was at the till when you asked for something she made you feel like you where being an inconvenience to her. Now the other lady who too our order could not have been nicer and even came over to ask us how our food was. We then went into the food village part which was nice and the staff was polite. There are plenty of local produce, meat and even sweets. They even have a map showing you where all the food comes from which I think was a nice touch.

Primacy Butchers is a very busy business at weekends. The meat and vegetables on sale are all from local producers so you can be sure of the provenance and not too many food miles for those concerned about such a thing. I have gone there for all our meat for a couple of years now and am completely satisfied with what is on offer. There is a medium sized restaurant/café on site and judging by how busy it was on a Friday at 1pm it is popular with the local clientele. The fare is pretty standard and tasty, however I found the helpings rather large for a lunchtime.

A group of us had breakfast here, and found enough menu choices to satisfy even the most choosey. I took the opportunity to have a full ' Ulster fry ', and watched my plate being loaded with two bacon rashers, two sausages, two pieces of fried bread, two bits of potato bread - as well as a fried egg, a tomato and mushrooms. Rare treat, in these weight obsessed days ! And thoroughly enjoyed. The chat round our table was evidence of a general feeling of good-will, complemented by our having been served by helpful, smiling ladies. Will definitely return - once I've worked off today's indulgence !

We used to use Primacy Meats before we moved house and never had a problem and there meat and other food products were always top quality. After our usual butchers closed we then returned to Primacy Meats again and have found that customer service really has gone downhill. Our previous butcher was always more than willing to help by advising various cuts, deals etc. We usually purchased a deal pack and usually changed some items for something else or more of one of the other included products. When we asked to do the same at Primacy we were just told bluntly 'NO...that's why its not on the list'. I understand they don't have to...however it is things like this that keep your customers loyal. We have also noticed the quality is not as good as it used to be.

I have always supported Primacy meats, for years...recommended them to family and friends, even given directions to the shop to others...this morning I went to purchase quite a lot of meat, as usual, I asked for four pork chops and asked if they had peppered seasoning on them would it be very "hot", I was told no not very hot at all...while the butcher went to get the items, (I am quite sure it was the boss!!) I read on a leaflet that if you purchase five items from the list it would save you xamount of money so when the butcher returned I asked him if these peppered chops where okay to be on the deal list,he said these are pork steaks so no, I said I asked for chops, and I said it in a friendly manner, he then turned to one of the other butchers at the counter and made a face at him regarding me!!!!! I cannot explain how annoyed I am because of his absolutely horrible attitude..such bad manners! I will not be returning to Primacy meats ever again and I certainly will NOT be recommending it to anyone else..I will be telling my friends and family about this experience...dreadful!!!!

Nicely laid out cafe, but intrusive music, and the food on offer this morning was disappointing. The cherry scone I had, had no cherries inside so I assume they are all are plain scones rolled in cherries/friut round the edge - not the way to do it. Napkins, butter & jams are not laid out to be taken and I was given one tiny pat of butter and had to go back & ask for another. The teapots for one are tiny and the tea was too strong and went cold quickly. There were about 6 people in there and no-one queuing at the counter but the girl was rushing us to choose.Tea and a scone was £3 which seems rather expensive.Lots better cafes in Bangor in my opinion.
