very friendly staff and amazing food with good value for money! came here for a hike and this was an amazing reward at the end of the day!

About once a month we treat ourselves to fish and chips, we live locally and have found that Prices is just about spot on! To be honest we find the fish a bit big for us but they do a smaller portion which is just right. You can telephone the order through which cuts down the waiting time or order there and have a swift pint around the corner whilst waiting! Always fresh, crisp battered fish and piping hot chips! Great!

One of the best I have visited. The fish was a generous portion and the chips nicely brown and crisp. I rate the chips as the best I have had outside my home!

Every time we visit holyhead Anglesey this is where we always go for our fish chips and curry. Absolutely delicious 😋 always well cooked and full of flavour. Great staff and reasonable prices. Definitely a must for people who like properly cooked tasty chips. We highly recommend this chippy . Hundred percent honest review .

Felt like a chippy tea . Asked for two small and one large cod along with large chips , the cooking of the fish was very good .chips also tasty .one small complaint the small fish were very small . Should have asked how small a small was them I would have gone for large That is the only complaint

Ordered cod and chips to take away. They were delicious. Fresh, hot and so tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go there next time I'm in Holyhead and would definitely recommend it 🤤🤤

Lovely cod & chops cooked to order in this quaint little eatery tucked away in a side street. Moist succulent cod together with chunky chips. (Seating area still closed off, so takeaway only)

very very vary disappointed .. service without a smile. dull and gloom.. mushy peas . dry and hard like bullets. dropped one on my plate and nearly cracked it. the fish proper dry batter burnt and dry outside and inside under fish batter still wet . ruined my already hungry stomachs. fuming about price to top it off. didn’t give to cats as it’d be vets in morning. costly adventure and god help the tourisr if that’s how you treat the locals.. government health warning. Will certainly not be eating there again.

It's nice these days that a fish and chip shop cook their chips to perfection, not white and mussy like many other so-called fish and chip shops. Lovely, well-done Price's!!

Looking at the reviews l thought I'd give it a try if you think that these chips are good and the fish good you need to get out more fish was greasy very greasy after being told she would let the fish drain chips were hard as if from night before a lunchtime visit .very disappointed after waiting for my holiday to try this chip shop .on plus side service was good very polite as far as taking them back to complain could not be bothered just put was inedible in bin .

Excellent, love this chip shop, and Tina is the best. Love their potato fritters. The only chip shop we use.

Anglesey really is a haven of great chip shops. Price’s was recommended to me and didn’t disappoint. Fantastic crispy chips and wonderful white freshly cooked fish. You really are spoiled for choice here.

First visit since lockdown began and just as tasty as always. This chip shop cooks delicious chips which believe me is hard to find these days. Always a warm welcome and decent prices too. If you want perfect cooked chips then come here. What more could I say.

Friendly staff and put the fish in to cook straight away. Fish was lovely and fresh with crispy batter and chips cooked to perfection. Best we’ve had from a chip shop in a long time and great value too. Will be our go-to when we’re next in the area.

On holiday locally and wanted an evening takeaway. Chose this chippy because of the good reviews (we ignored the last one as it didn't sound genuine). We were not disappointed. Fish order taken as we entered and fish cooked freshly for us. Friendly service too. Shame they didn't stock tinned roe!!

Orderd fish and chips over the phone, Man very unprofessional and grumpy and complaining about previous customer wearing a mask!! Took the meal to eat on the sea front. Shocked the fish was dry that is if i was luck to find any in the rock hard thick batter that was like concrete. Very greasy chips, it's got to be the worst fishy and chips that we've ever had in our lifetime.

Chose this chippy based on the reviews and doubt we would have found it otherwise as it is tucked away off the main street. We were not disappointed. The staff were really friendly and helpful advising how many chips we would need for our extended family group and proved spot on. The best fish and chips we have had in quite some time and the kids enjoyed their sausages too. Will definitely be back when circumstances permit.

Stopped on way to ferry to avoid having to use terrible ferry restaurants. Had simply amazing fish and chips. Prepared fresh in 6-7 minutes. Very good value.

We were just staying overnight at the Travel lodge & looking for something quick & easy for tea. I looked up fish & chips Holyhead on Google & what a treat they turned out to be. It was a busy Friday tea-time, as soon as I went in the door I was greeted pleasantly & asked if I would like to order fish. There was a bit of a wait as it was so busy but well worth waiting for, the fish was beautifully cooked all through with no soggy doughy undercooked batter, the chips were cooked to perfection. The service was pleasant & the atmosphere friendly. I can heartily recommend Prices fish & chip shop!

I feel these days that a good chippy is mainly defined by the quality of it's chips. Are they made from fresh potatoes that have been chipped or the dreaded fried ones? Prices chips are slightly hit and miss, but some people like greasy soggy chips and others like the ones that have been kept warm. Service is standard, no small talk, and the fish is ok but expensive like all chippies these days. Everything else is very good and looks clean, shame they don't use the cafe anymore....

Would have been 4 stars, but not able to sit in. Chips were really good and very crispy batter on fish, which as I don't eat so protected the fish nicely.

Dropped in here for late lunch as my partner had always had then from here as a child and he decided to see if they were still as tasty. Lovely chips and awesome fish cake definitely recommend a visit, sat On Newery to eat them in the sunshine.

Best tasting chips in town. Never fail to enjoy them. Whatever you have with them is a bonus. Most foods freshly cooked to order.

I loved the taste of the chips, they weren't dry and floury at all but really good. The cod however was a small thin piece and seemed a little over cooked and was all batter. It was £4.10 for the cod and so it should have been a better piece, I recommend just getting a bag of chips here and you won't be dissappointed.

Tried the fish chips a peas thay where ok but was a bit disappointed thay where better than enochs but didn't have the wow factor sorry .

I'm from Holyhead, but currently reside in the UAE, every time i come home i visit this little jewel of a chippy, simple the best in Town ..

Dropped in here on Jan 2. Had Cod and chips, sausage and a fishcake. All was freshly cooked, chips were perfect. And behind the counter Tina was a great host. We will return

I've been coming here a couple of times now for a takeaway meal and I've never been let down so far. The food is fantastic especially their fish. The light batter on the fish is perfect. The people serving here are also wonderful and the portions you get for your money is great value. If you're after some lovely fish and chips then do come here and i'm sure you won't regret it.

It’s a shame I can only give prices a 3 star as years ago it was hands down the best chippy in holyhead.

We had a take-away which both my husband and son enjoyed. I found the chips greasy, but that could have been me. The inside of the shop was clean and the staff pleasant.

Este "fish and chips" en que vistited nuestras vacaciones anuales para Anglesey después fue recomendado. Las patatas fritas no cocinada, el pescado era horrorosa y el bateador fue quemada. Ambiente lonely mientras espera por edades para nuestra orden, aunque chippy estaba vacío. Los precios eran muy altos. Lo único que puedo decir es comestible era la salchicha y la salsa. Este "fish and chips" poner toda mi los miembros de la familia vayan a cualquier "fish and chips" mientras estábamos aquí durante la semana.

Esto permite bajar chippy nunca. Haddock es siempre muy agradable y la masa bien y luz, no grasienta y empalagoso como algunos que te dan. Calidad patatas fritas de un chico que conoce su spuds, el lugar es impecable y el personal era siempre amable.

We have used this chippy on a regular basis for the past 5 years. Consistently great quality fish and chips, cooked fresh and served by very friendly and helpful staff. Don't judge this place by the exterior, it's the best !!!

The chip and chips here were really good. Cooked fresh to order and perfectly crisp. The fish was excellent with a light batter. The chilli and chips (topped with cheese extra) was great It was sweet and spicy. Set us brilliantly for the sailing to Dublin

I've been to a great many chip shops but I've never found one that matches up to Price's chip shop in Holyhead. The quality is always consistent and the best fish and chips I've ever had in a chippy

Ordered three portions of cod with chips. All were freshly made and tasty and the fish on the biggish side. Not one of the cheaper chippies though. Paid 17.10 for the 3 of us without any extras.Stuff seemed rather disinterested.

Popped in before the cinema visit. Cafe closed as getting ready to close at 7.30 just the take away part open. We ordered scampi and chips. These were cooked but the lady cooking them kept saying don't order these again. Not a great advert. They said they were different colours because they were different scampi. However they were overcooked almost burnt in places and we both threw half away. We have been twice to this chip shop and its 50 50 a good meal and bad. Interesting if we go a third time. Jury is out yet

I originally placed this review on Ade & Nias chippy, Holyhead but did so incorrectly and the review actually referred to Prices Chip shop, my apologies to all concerned.Best chippy in town, everything's cooked to order so be prepared for a short wait, but it's well worth it.Close to the town centre and the port and dock road and local cinema, easy to locate and there's even a seating area within which is open during the day.Great value food with a friendly service from the staff and owners, like a chippy tea, then this is the place.The only down side is as with other such venues in the town, this and most others close at half seven on a daily basis, bit of a bummer when looking for a late tea.

Good size man portion of good quality. I had the haddock which was cooked fresh. Chips were restaurant quality. Will definitely be going again. Happy days:))

called in here after the cinema - lovely fresh fish and chips - good menu and not expensive - can eat in with limited places or take out will definitely go again

Down on Holiday on the Island and we always pay a visit to one of the best chip shops around ,clean ,friendly staff and the fish cakes are the best.

Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend und man hat eine große Auswahl. Man kann auch dort essen, es ist nicht nur zum mitnehmen. Insgesamt sind drei Tische vorhanden. Beide Frauen dort sind sehr freundlich.

Another great meal from here we were on holiday on Anglesey and wanted to walk along the Break water at Holy head to see the ferries we were a bit early so we thought we would have lunch first ,my partner had a mince beef pie and chips and i had battered jumbo sausage and a cone of chips we really enjoyed them perfectly cooked to order and the staff were so friendly there were 2 people being served in front of us but we didn't have to wait long for our food a really great place you can sit inside to eat too and we noticed how clean the place was we would highly recommend this chip shop .

Best chips in town. Portions are generous and it all tastes amazing. Cleanliness is second to none. Shame that they shut up shop so early, though (19:00 or 19:30, not sure).

Staff too busy talking to turn the chips in fryer fish batter burnt rock hard . Parked up open my fish and chips not happy burnt chips one side fish over cooked still the gulls had a feed . Shame as not too bad before.

Superb,,had not visited for a couple of months, was glad to see that the same standard applied freshly cooked and to perfection.

Took 15 minutes to walk here from the Travelodge. Had cod and chips to share. Fish was cooked to order. Batter was crispy and fish was a good size, very tasty and succulent. Chips were also tasty but were very slightly greasy. Would eat here again.

Whilst waiting for the fresh cod and chips to be cooked, I was entertained by the most friendliest, happy and cheerfull staff of a chip shop that I'd ever been in. The time for my order to cook flew by. The food was great, lovely fresh chips and the cod with superb batter and not dripping in grease as you find in sme chippies.. Will definately be back!

This chippie is two minutes from home,and its the best,fish cooked to order.Order fish when you arrive,lightly battered if you wish. Chips fresh every time. Eat in but there are time limits,they do close early. Clean interior,fresh decor,pleasant staff,can't beat it.

The best place for fish and chips is here , the food is cooked when ordered you can taste how fresh it is ! We enjoyed every mouthful .The lady serving was really friendly funny and down to earth .Its so clean in there as well something that you dont see much of now where i live ! makes the food taste even better .Highly recommended.

Beautifully cooked fresh cod , full of flavour . Obviously using top quality clean oil , as there was no yukkie after taste . The chips were crisp & full . As an international traveller & gourmet appreciator , I would suggest you cannot find better . This is a humble looking place in a side road , but delivering an excellent product ...........every time . Thanks for being there .

This chip shop was recommended to us by another shop owner in the town the place was very clean and the service was very good we ordered Cornish pasties which were very nice really tasty and hot

Visited around midday on a Saturday afternoon not long after the shop had opened for the day. Both chips and fish were freshly cooked to order, no re-heating yesterdays leftovers here. A real find in Holyhead.

i went here a couple of times 2 years ago , the man who owned it was so rude , we asked for a bag of chips for someone , as we were in a hurry , he told me to wait my turn , there was only one person in front who ordered 6 fish and chips , i explained i only wanted i chips and was in a hurry nicely and he ignored me , next time i was in front and someone came in for sausage and chips , i said its ok you can serve them , he replied its my shop my rules , he was rude to staff , having worked in chippies myself , as long as you have chips cooking for the people who are waiting for fish , theres no reason why you cant call out to a queue who just wants chips ? it helps not only people who are waiting , but good for buisness for the queue to go and more to come in , i have tried it a month or so ago at lunch time and there was a nice lady there in the shop , food was good so will try again

This is a great chippy for either popping in for a take away or for eating at the cafe. The food is excellent and very popular with everyone. Especially brilliant battered fish. The girl who served me the last time was very friendly with a wonderful smile which lit up her face!

Stopped here whilst waiting for the ferry. The fish we had was great cooked perfect and was a lovely thick piece of cod with tasty crisp batter. The chips not so good as were not cooked fresh and had been sitting there for a while. Had an interesting discussion about underwear whilst waiting thank. B

Whilst staying in Trearddur Bay we found Price's on Tripadvisor so decided to buy three cod and a large portion of chips (£12.80) from there and found the fish good (superb batter) and excellent chips (crispy and fluffy).Both the ladies were friendly and cheerful whilst we waited for the fresh cooked meal.We would visit again when in the area.Notice they are open from 11.45-19.30

Visited here last year after going to the nearby cinema and loved it. I recently came across this chippy on trip adviser and wasn't surprised with the great reviews so we visited again this week. Lovely chippy. Friendly staff. Parking outside. They even did our order after they had officially finished serving for the day so thank you for that! Please check the opening times because we didn't! Would highly recommend.

Hate eating somewhere that hasn't been recommended so we asked a local police officer where to get the best fish and chips and got directed to this little unassuming place.Spotlessly clean, friendly and actually quite hilarious staff, there was a lot of banter going on with both the locals and visitors....and the food, Oh wow! delicious and very very good value at £3.50 for cod.The best fish and chips outside of Wells, Norfolk...We live in Cheshire but will be back.

We had the Cod and Chips. The fish is Fresh battered and the Chips are cut from Potatoes not Frozen. Very very good.

Definitely the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. I don't think it is possible to improve on this. The last time I ate fish and chips this good was about 50 years ago in Lowestoft. Two ladies were in charge, they were both very pleasant.

Fish freshly cooked when you go in, and the chip are really good. We had 3 cod and chips (small chips for my daughter), and sat on a bench eating them, looking at the boats bobbing around - a proper seaside experience.The staff were really friendly (thanks for the free fork). It's not the cheapest chippy you will ever go to, but you are paying for the quality... I would say well worth it

I drive past at least four chipshops to collect my fish & chips from Price's. There's an option to eat in, which is so rare in a chippy these days.Food is always cooked fresh, regardless of the time of day.Great value, friendly staff and always worth the journey.

I like that the fish is cooked fresh to order and the staff are always very pleasant. We have visited numerous times and the food is always good.

The best Chippy in Holyhead, cant go wrong with it really. Everything is always great and it is open later than most others. The owner is a bit surly and can come across quite rude but if your just getting a takeaway that doesnt matter
