Food stone cold had a missing item paid £7 for a handful of fries

Probably a 3.5/5 rather than a 4 if being honest. Called in for lunch with the kids on Sunday in October just after 12. Ordered the sea bass with saffron gnocchi, margherita pizza and kids carbonara. Pizza was good (difficult to get wrong!) and the sea bass and carbonara were OK. I thought sea bass was a little under seasoned and the bowl was pretty cold which meant that the lobster bisque with peas went pretty cold at the edges quickly. The carbonara was quite rich but one thing noted was the bacon/ham was very heavily smoked in flavour! Suppose you either like it or don't but quite strong for a kids' meal. Couldn't fault the staff - absolutely lovely, and the food arrived quickly after ordering. Nice bright and airy place to sit and watch the Media City activity.

Food was fine, but all aspects of the service were incredibly slow. They did apologise, but what should have been a quick bit to eat took almost 1.5 hours.

Excellent food. My partner had Prawn and Ravioli and I had a smoked Tri carne Pinsa. Both were delicious. Well worth coming here for food

Absolutely abysmal service today at lunch time. If I could give 0 stars, I would. As a semi-frequent visitor, we've been in this prezzo plenty of times and we have been recommending it to family and friends. When we arrived it was nearly full, but we managed to get a table. That's where the positives end. It took a while for someone to come and take our order, which was fine given the fact it was busy. First thing I said to the waitress was "we want all the food together" and then we proceeded to order two meals from the starters and pizza sections. The girl didn't confirm or repeat the order and just went away. In about 25min time we were brought just the two starters and again she just walked off. After flagging her down and asking if the rest of the food is coming, she said no, she was under the impression it was supposed to come separately. We said we asked for it together , which was literally the first thing I said. She said she doesn't know how quickly the food could be made and again walked off. We couldn't start eating our food given the fact half of it was missing , so we started waiting. Mind you absolutely no one came to apologize or advice how long it would be. After additional 40mins (on top of the previous 25) with the cold half of our food untouched and no one bothering to come and update us on what's happening, we asked the waitress for a box for that food and for the pizzas to be boxed up rather than on a plate. While I was trying to ask for the bill she walked off again and we didn't see her for another 10minutes. We managed to get the managers attention and went through what happened and that we want the bill and the food to be boxed up. She said she'd sort it out. From my seat I could see the pizzas where only then started. So about an hour after we ordered. After few more minutes of everyone just ignoring us, we finally managed to get the food and bill. And when the waitress came to take the payment, she said "oh yeah sorry, it's just busy today". That was the only apology given. Does the fact that it's busy mean we need to wait over one hour for our full order and after complete ignoring from the staff? If you can't handle busy periods just tell people you can't take walk ins , rather than wasting our time and money. Oh and to end a perfect time - when we opened the pizza boxes at home, we discovered the pizza dough was not cooked enough and needed additional 6-7 minutes in our oven. Plus the sauce from my starter meal was not put in the box. So waiting over 1h15mins just to have to cook the food at home. This is genuinely the worst service we've ever received and it's shocking how badly it was dealt with. And serving food which is clearly not cooked enough can make someone sick. I am completely aware that no one from the management team would take responsibility, as we've seen during our visit no one cares to even come and apologize, so just take notes and refuse to serve people if you can't do your job properly and you waste people's time and money.

Rude staff, food is horrible, will never go here , ruined my dinner 👎🏻 Served Caesar salad without Parmesan cheese (which was in description of the salad), dressing was horrible and watery. Waited too long, and when I asked the waitress politely about Parmesan cheese , she brought cheese in a plastic pack and started to grate it over my plate and told me to stop when it’s enough, I said thank you, so she can stop. However she asked in a rude way - is it definetly enough?, which makes a customer feel very humiliated. Obviously no apologies about missing ingredient. No wonder why the place looks empty most of the time.

I had been in prezzo Salford quays yesterday, 16/06 around 4:00pm the food was ok, spritz was a joke, I took all the ice and was not even a 50ml of nothing, but my worst experience was with the person in charge, I have cash to paid, and been told that only card payments is accepted, I said that we had not been informed about that, and with very rude way, said that is a note in the door and gone, he didn’t look at my eyes, When he back to said that he will take the money but he will not give us the change, I went close to him, to explain that we should be inform as we went straight to the terrace with not chance to read the door note, as a deaf person wearing hearing aid, I just been close to him and with nice intención in a formal way, touch his arm with my hand to try to explain, His attitude was super violent, removing my hand from his arm, which was only a gesture of approach due to my disability, and it made me feel as if I was doing something wrong, I explained to him why I approached him and without looking at me, he left. .. I explained to him that that was unpleasant and as I was talking to no one... better training needs to be given to people who are in charge.

Lovely food had pizza which was slightly cold just needed a quick blast in the oven but they insisted on making a fresh one which was perfect then they took my drinks off the bill. Above and beyond 👍👍👍

We were served by Nathan last night, he provided us with the most amazing customer service from point of entry until we left! Also we had not been for some time and the menu is so much better for vegetarians and meat eaters with more variety to choose from. Food was delicious too

This is a great Italian restaurant. Prezzo is perfectly situated in the middle of Media City opposite the small park and Tram stop. It’s a great place to eat if you’re walking through Media City. I have been here many times in the few years I have lived here and I think I’ve had most things on the menu but my favourites are the Arancini for starters, the Dolce and Piccante Pizza for a main with a Peroni beer and if I have room I typically opt for the cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant itself is stylish, looking. The tables aren’t too close together and the sofa area is comfortable. There are nice views of the park from the restaurant too. I’ve seen many staff at Prezzo over the last couple of years and I can honestly say they have all been very friendly and helpful. I often have a voucher on my phone for discounts and they are very happy to process them. This is a great place to stop and eat. Thanks for reading

My friend had purchased a ticket to a Classic Rock gig at The Lowry, and we decided to go to Prezzo nearby. Included in the meal was a free bottle of wine too. Absolutely lovely food, lovely personnel and great atmosphere. Can wholly recommend. Nathan Manager and waitress Noora very friendly.

Had not been to Prezzo for a while and the quality of the meals has clearly declined, or maybe I just chose poorly. Ordered the Crab & Lobster Ravioli, which sounded brilliant in the menu: "Handmade ravioli generously filled with crab and lobster. Served in a velvety tomato lobster bisque, spinach and a handful of chives" That "generously filled" part was a lie. The ravioli were flat. And look, I know crab and lobster ain't cheap, I was expecting a hint of them, but still, how difficult is to mince courgettes/leeks/celery/shallots, reduce them in seafood stock so they infuse, and then mix them with the tiny bit of lobster/crab so at least the pasta looks like proper ravioli and not like pancakes? And the "velvety tomato lobster bisque"? It's just creamy tomato sauce. That's it. It was SO disappointing. Still, it was warm, it tasted ok, and the service was absolutely lovely; so it will do in a pinch. I just need to remember to order pizza or Alfredo next time.

I've eaten here a few times over the past 6 months and can say that on every occasion, the food and service has been excellent. If you're in Media City, it's definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Italian food.

Pizza was cold when it arrived

Some of the food was cold and bland. Delivery person had trouble finding our house from right outside.

Came here with my son for dinner. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the food. They are setting the standard for how restaurants should be. I didn’t have to ask for anything, check backs throughout the meal and they couldn’t do enough for me. All exceptionally friendly and even held the door open for me when I left all saying bye. The pizza is literally the best pizza I’ve had in a long time absolutely delicious, Thankyou ! I will be recommending to everyone and will definitely be coming back :)

Was dining alone. First time away alone too. Abbie and the gentleman that seated me were very friendly and attentive and made it the best dining experience I've had to date.

Been coming to Prezzo for years, last was June 2022 and boy what a difference a year makes. Love the garlic bread with onions but they served half compared to a whole garlic bread last year. We then read the menu again, our mistake, we had to pay extra if you wanted a full garlic bread. Topping was a bit measly too. Portions have reduced in size. Calamari looked like from a bag out of the freezer what happened to rings? Pasta was lacking in flavour. My husband was still hungry when we left but we wouldn't pay any more as the bill was getting pretty high. Sadly our last visit, you don't get what you pay a hell of a lot for.

Visited 29/08/23. Very disappointed the service was terrible waited 30 minutes to get our food ,ordered olives got chips ! Spaghetti carbonara was cold and very salty had to ask for cheese ,not offered . The waitress was rude and not interested, especially when she realised she wasnt getting a tip . Won't visit again and wouldn't recommend it .

Really lovely evening. The sun was shining one day in August so we took advantage after work, my partner met me and we went to Prezzo. Food lovely and the staff really friendly. We chose a pizza each, side order of chips, chocolate dessert, cider and a coke. We thought it was a little on the expensive side my partner had a 20% off which included two drinks and the bill was over £40. Really nice though and will go back but maybe miss out on the pudding at £7.95 it wasn’t that nice, I should have stick with the cheesecake.

The food was blunt, no taste, worst I had ever. The tables are sticky and disgusting. Pizza is good, but I would not recommend pasta. I don't think I would go again too soon.

We went for our late lunch on a Bank Holiday weekend. The atmosphere was lovely and food was gorgeous too. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch there.

Very busy at lunch with lots of TV personnel around. Weather was beautiful which made it good. Nice surroundings. Could not fault food, wine or service. Good Italian pasta, great glass of wine what more could you ask for 😊

The food was quite good other than there was no avocado on the chicken, bacon and avocado salad. No staff were in the restaurant to query this unfortunately and were generally quite slow to get around all the tables. Otherwise it was tasty.

Nice pizza 🍕! I usually don't have high expectations on restaurant's chain, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed the pizza in Prezzo. We had 2 pizzas, salad, and truffle fries. Everything was tasty. The pizza crust was thin and a bit crispy on the edge, just how I like it. The staff was very friendly.

Such boring, very overpriced food. I ordered the beef and mash and it was like a child's portion. Couldn't believe how much our bill came to. I also had a drink poured down me by the waiter when he was leaning over me to pass my friend his drink. Wouldn't come back to any of the restaurants in this chain.

Used to be a great go to but last couple of times food has been bland. Asked for Parmesan and was given a block. In its tesco wrapper. And a grater. 😵‍💫 Service, and atmosphere no longer as vibrant as it used to be I'm afraid. Won't be going back.

Starter was really nice. Service was terrible on a Saturday. We ended up walking out as after 1.5 hrs we had only had our starter and the main didn't come as "whoever picked our plates up didn't let the chef know we wanted our mains...." manager on the day was absolutely useless, would understand if it was busy but we were 1 of 3 tables sat inside. Other reviews says weekends are rubbish for service so clearly they need to do something about it. Happy to get our drinks for free but would have been happier paying for a full meal. Our bill would have been £130+, ended up being £16...

Pizza was good but the service is very slow, they defenitly need to work on table service and attending people's bills faster.

Well it’s a Prezzo… basic food for basic people. What I don’t understand is why on earth there’d be a queue and booking is required when there are so many empty spaces to eat at. I only wanted to go so my kid could eat but, no, some oberfuhrer comes along and tells us to leave because we’ve not booked. Doesn’t even ask us if we’d like to book. Just wants to turf us out. Maybe we’re not basic looking enough…

Pasta dishes excellent, Pepsi and alcoholic drinks served. Gelato nice.

Fabulous burger and chips, and the young waitress made us feel at home, she was so helpful and she told us how she came in on her day off to help in the blistering heat. Would highly recommend. A bit overpriced however.

Prezzo - Italian food that is comforting to eat Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and menu The menu is simple and is easy to read. The heading for each course can be easily found so you will not be lost when finding your favourite dishes. Each dish has a good description about it giving a taste of what to expect from your food. The menu includes all the popular Italian dishes. It also caters for all types of diners from Meat lovers to Fish lovers and Vegetarians. In the Starters there is tasty Garlic Bread with Cheese, Calamari, Deep Fried Mozzarella if you love everything that is Cheese, Bruschetta, Italian Humous and more. In the Mains there are a great selection of Pizzas on offer with various toppings and flavours. There is a good selection of Pasta from Ravioli to Spaghetti Bolognaise. If you love Meat then there is the Grill section with Burgers to choose from. For those that are healthy then are some salads for you. There are a range of sides that can be added to accompany your Main. This includes House Fries, Truffle Fries, Green Salad and others to choose from. If you have a sweet craving then there are some top Desserts from the sweet and heavenly Sticky Toffee Pudding to Biscoff Cheesecake with a soft and flaky biscuit base. If you love cold ones then there is Ice Cream for you too. In the Starters the Garlic Bread was delicious. It was crispy on the outside with soft bread oozing with melted Cheese. A crispy fried topping with moorish Cheese inside. Yum. For the Mains the Crab and Lobster Ravioli was great. It was presented beautifully. It was tasty and had a good flavour however I would have liked to have a sauce with it to make it more fragrant. A portion of Chips is a great addition as it adds texture to your meal. The Biscoff Cheesecake was amazing. It was sweet and full of indulgent sticky Caramel with a light biscuit base that was soft to eat. Heaven. Service Our waiter Sergio was friendly and attentive. He gave us the time to choose the dishes that we wanted. He also gave us some great recommendations for the Desserts too. The food came pretty quick. It was all cooked fresh and it was presented beautifully. Lighting and Access The lighting is pretty decent at this restaurant however they may dim the lights during the late evening. Our table was near the window so we also had natural light. This enabled me to enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. In relation to access there are no stairs in order to enter the restaurant and it is great that it is all on one level. Parking Parking is available at the main one for the Quayside Media City UK (formerly The Lowry). If you have a Blue Badge then you will have 4 hours free parking from the time of entry by getting your ticket stamped inside. Alternatively you can park at the Media City multi-storey. Pricing This restaurant has mid-range pricing for tis dishes. Some of the Seafood dishes may be pricier then the other dishes. There are also discounts available on Voucher Codes that may apply. Really nice food and wonderful and thoughtful staff, everything very clean inside the restaurant.

Unfortunately this isn't a restaurant we'll be going back to. The food was burnt, the pasta was clearly mass produced rubbish, the service was very slow and the meal was very overpriced for what it was. We went there expecting Italian food and instead received overcooked, pre-produced rubbish.

Just a really nice basic Italian restaurant. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Spot-on.

Had dinner after work here during the week and can't quite believe how bad the food was. We ordered the crab ravioli and it was genuinely awful, the arancini were so overcooked they were like rocks. Whilst I know it's just a chain, for spending over £80 I have never been so disappointed.

Inattentive servers that really don’t care about anything but the time their shift ends. Dirty tables, cold restaurant, chipped plates. Food is bland. Chips were the best part of the meal… and that’s a stretch. This is all on the basis that you can get a table. The restaurant may be empty but staff shortage or lies means half the restaurant is closed because they want it to be.

Absolutely atrocious. You can 100% cook the food they serve here better at home following a kids recipe. The meal was served cold, comes with a ridiculous amount of pasta and no filling, it’s very clear like they’re trying to cut corners. The price is similar in comparison to other Manchester Italian restaurant chains such as Piccolino & San Carlo, but performs like McDonald’s. In terms of cost this Prezzo is massively inflated. It was my first and last time dining here. My experience was so poor that even if they offered a to pay me to return I’d be a no show. 0/5.

Absolute state of a place. Used to be so good, last time I went was 4 years ago and after today, I will never return. They say if you subscribe to them or if it’s your birthday then you get A free bottle of Prosecco. Today is my birthday and I also subscribed but they wouldn’t give us a bottle unless we had a qr code through email from signing up. Myself and my partner both signed up 4 hours prior to going and didn’t receive an email or qr code. The food was cold, and just a big bowl of plain pasta with a table spoon of sauce. Disgusting. The price didn’t reflect the quality at all. Same price as actual quality Italians such as San Carlo or Cibo. Any bread options on the menu also tasted like soap. Absolute disgrace of a place and will never return. What a shame.

The food was surprisingly good. I absolutely loved the burrata pesto, which not only tasted amazing but also looked great. Went in without reservation but staff still immediately got us a table. We got the wrong appetiser and honestly was fine with it as the bruscetta also looked amazing but the manager told us to keep the dish anyways and still brought out the correct one which was too nice of her! For mains we got the pork ragu and fennel sausage and prosciutto pizza, both were delicious. Prices is really good for the generois portion and great quality.

Popped in at 7:45PM as I stopped for work in the hotel next to it. I got told that I could not accomodate as the restaurant accepts only bookings and it happened twice in a row! The restaurant was barely at 1/3 of the capacity and I really think that Prezzo deserve to go in administration as it does not comply with the actual hospitality rule. I went to wuagamama instead and on the way back I had a look again and the restaurant was still at the same capacity therefore I decided to give this negative feedback! It is absurd that after a long day at work and you want a nice meal you are not welcome because of some subjective rule.🤷🏻

We enjoy Prezzo. Consistently good food. Always very popular and busy, which can impact upon speed of service, but bodes well for an overall enjoyable time

It looks like a kid made it.. I'm very disappointed with the pizza I received in this restaurant. The pizza was not well presented and the vegetarian option appeared to be far less appetizing than regular pizzas. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of effort put into the appearance of the vegetarian option. Additionally, the size of the pizza was disproportionate to the regular ones, which was also unsatisfying. Overall, I was very unimpressed with my experience and expect a higher standard from an Italian chain restaurant.

I’d never been here before, my 3 friends brought me here for a birthday meal. The staff were absolutely lovely and kind and so friendly, nice atmosphere and can’t fault the food that I had. the only qualms are that My friend had a dirty fork, the service was also incredibly slow, it took almost 45mins to get our starter which was a sharer garlic bread with cheese, there was only one chef working from the looks of it , we ordered another and this took nearly another hour to arrive. I just felt we were waiting incredibly long in between courses and even ordering drinks too. This is my only reason for leaving 3 stars as if was so frustrating and when it came to paying , they told us they don’t accept cash payments which caused a bit of embarrassment as we were not aware. I would absolutely recommend the food but the slow service has maybe put me off going back. I did have a lovely evening though and even shared my birthday cake with the waiter as he was so nice. Staff were lovely!

Really charming place and staff. Delicious food but the service is a little slow. We wait nearly 30 min for the main courses. Apart from that, everything was grand.

The restaurants last orders was 9 o clock . We placed an order somewhere between the hours of 8 and 9pm . The food got here at half past 9 and was stone cold considering the restaurant is only a short drive away. We have also raised the standard of food with the restaurant as it was appalling ! We have spoken to the restaurant they have said to raise this through here in order to get a full refund. Thank you

Worst experience ever! They forgot about us and then rushed our food. We sat down for food and shortly after a couple was sat next to us we got our starter when they got their dessert and the other couple next to us left and they arrived about 30 minutes after us. Garlic bread is hardly cooked as the starter. My veggie alfredo was extremely bland I added salt and it still tasted bland. My partners Lasagne was burnt on top, sides and bottom he said the middle tasted good. The resturant wasn't busy half the seats were empty, and we didn't want to be irritating so we waited thinking maybe our food needed longer until it was painfully obvious that they had forgotten us even though the walked passed us many times and saw we didn't have anything. Would never go here again

I'm afraid our experience wasn't very good. Whilst the serving staff are lovely everything else lets them down. The white wine wasn't chilled, they did change the bottle for a cold one straight away. Ordered a garlic bread, it was the size of a pitta and not hot. The pasta was mediocre. Waited an hour and 20 mins for the pasta.

Over priced and poor quality - avoid

We had booked for 5.30pm on Saturday it was packed out with families. After 20 minutes someone took our drinks order then a further 20 minutes someone came to take our food order. I am gluten intolerant and was given the gf menu but informed that there were no gf pizza bases available. As I don’t particularly like pasta I chose a chicken Caesar salad with chargrilled chicken, topped with a poached egg and shavings of Italian cheese plus a slice of gf garlic bread. I was informed there was no gf garlic bread. When the meal arrived my daughters vegan pizza was cold and my Caesar salad was missing the poached egg. They took our meals away reheated my daughters pizza which made it quite tough and plonked a poached egg on my salad. We all had a dessert as the main meal had been so disappointing. That was fine and the staff were friendly and helpful but I wouldn’t eat here again.

Excellent food and service and great location

We waited over 45 minutes for our food, despite being seated as soon as we arrived as it was not very busy. Hot food was served on cold plates and the portion sizes were small and the meals overpriced. The food didn't all come out together and items were missing. Won't return I'm afraid. The only reason for one star is they did cater for allergies.
