Prezzo Italian Restaurant Manchester Media City in Salford

Went over to prezzo for a meal with the Mrs and got seated after a couple of minutes with some menus to then have nobody come and even see if we wanted a drink whilst we waited, this lasted for 25 minutes until we decided to just get up and leave and go wagamamas next door... I understand service is busy sometimes but it would have been nice to have been told if there was going to be some sort of wait... it just felt as if we dumped on a table and forgotten about, really wouldn't have been too bad had we at least been served for drinks in between Overall terrible experience....

The food was lovely and quick to arrive. The new waitress and other staff made the experience excellent with their kindness!

Disappointing Experience – Over an Hour Wait with No Food We had an extremely frustrating experience at this restaurant. We waited over an hour for our food, yet our mains never arrived. The waitress insisted that because the starters came first, the mains would take longer—however, it seemed like the kitchen simply never started cooking our order apart from the kids’ starters. After 50 minutes, I asked her to check on our food, and she assured us it would come immediately. Another 20 minutes passed, and still no food. Our kids were starving, and with just 15 minutes left before our scheduled show, we had no choice but to cancel our order and leave. This was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Poor service, lack of communication, and unacceptable wait times—would not recommend.

Nice food, nice staff, cozy little environment. The pizza size is just prefect for women. However, the lasagna sold out really fast.

Another good visit to Prezzo out of the chain restaurants it tends to be a go to for us. Prices seem to have gone up slightly since last visit but overall very happy as usual. It's one of the best pizzas I've had full of flavour and never disappointed yet! On our starters the sauce was missed on one otherwise faultless. Staff were quite good maybe a little more interaction or provide an Italian feel? The atmosphere inside is like any other restaurant lacks an Italian feel. Drinks seem to have gone up too but there are drinks offers and I really enjoyed both my cocktails. There used to be a house wine on the menu but not listed now. Without a doubt highly recommend and look forward to visiting again

Went for a family meal this evening. Was busy (and loud) and seemed to only be 2 staff on table duty. Waited a while to be offered drinks and mains took a while - was over an hour after arrival before we were eating. Disappointingly there were no fries or prawns so my daughters had to adjust their choices. Food was tasty though. Just not enough staff to keep on top of offering drinks etc. Once we had our food no-one came back to check on us. Would have had another drink but couldn’t get anyone’s attention easily so we left it.

Spicy one pizza was nice, however the old one with roquito pearls on it was better. They have changed ingredients for cheaper one. The old little pepperoni was much more better than new one.

Excellent customer service good choice of gluten free options apart from no dessert available could add a few more gf desserts to menu. Enjoyed our visit and used the offer of 1 main for a £1 with any other main so the price was very reasonable.

Wuiet wednesday evening so not much atmosphere but excellent service from Macy made this a great experience.

overall everything is tasty unfortunately I was disappointed with the pizza the dough was not well risen and not baked enough maybe some beginner cook was a bit disappointed I was in the mood for a typical Italian pizza

Food was lovely, but service was terrible. I would love to go again for the food but as soon as we were handed our desserts it’s like we were invisible to the staff. We waited 20 minutes for someone to bring us the bill. This didn’t happen so we walked to the front desk to pay rather than keep waiting.

We havd booked a table at prezzo in Manchester. We went there on time our booking was at 6 o’clock and we was there at 5:55 and they told us that you’re quite earlier. I know that it’s your time but we are really busy and we don’t have your table at the moment so we had to wait for 10 minutes for our table to be ready Which it was fine, we didn’t have any problem , We was three people and we sit in one table for two we order Drinks I ordered the porn star martini which it wasn’t taste like a porn star martini at all a cotenant this cocktail needs to be sweet and it was really really Bitter test, and the second one we ordered the food at 6:15 and we got the food on the table by 19:25we asked three members of the staff how long it will take for our food and they told us let me go and check and no one came back to give us a answer that if the food might take while no one came on the table we ask three members one lady with blonde hair with glasses she was sitting the customer on the tables . I ask her and she said like I go and check and she never came back and also I asked a gentleman with he Back neck tattoo he said I go and check and he never came back on the table to tell us how long we needed to wait we were with the kids we ordered the kids food and it didn’t came first how it should be. It came after one hour and something on the table. We told them at least to have the kids food But no it didn’t came on time and we were really disappointed. We ask to order dessert and we ask how long it might take for the dessert and they told us we are really afraid that you might be waiting more than 15 to 20 minutes to get the desserts on the table so we didn’t order at all we just ask the bill. We have been to a two different other prezzo in London a few time and we were really happy one in ENFIELD at London one in Oxford and we were really happy with the service with the food with everything this Prezzo here they really disappoint us about the service and the timing with the food and with the waiting time and no one answer you the questions, we understood that it was busy and it was less staff but at least answer the question When the customer asking you don’t let them wait on the table without any answer or you should let them know from beginning that because of the busy time we are at the moment that might take longer Than usual, the food to be on the table, is really understandable not how it was yesterday without any answer at all!!!

First class meal in a lovely restaurant - the staff are so helpful and the chefs are top notch. Never had better King Prawns and spaghetti - some great January deals available. We will be back.

Sat eve, peak time. Staff friendly, helpful, cheerful. This is the only good thing can be told about the place. The dishes were absolutely tasteless nothing. Just like a frozen "ready to cook" one from Lidl. I had a chicken with spaghetti that we got after a chaser after about 30-40 mins waiting time. They had no wine glasses, so l got my Chianti in a water glass. Ok, the staff was apologetic and when l complained about the glass they could get one later. They explained that they were very busy. And?! Yes, it is an restaurant and it was Sat eve. I'm sorry for the hard working staff but this place totally worthless. Just miss it!

Quite expensive. Spent £120 on 4 meals, 3 starters and 4 soft drinks plus 10% tip. Blue light card only deducted £6, must not work on offers (starter and a main was £24 for 2 people). I'm leading with that because... it matters. The price decides if/when we go back, which won't be soon. For £120 for a family of 4, you need to have had an alcoholic beveridge and desserts. Now, the service was fantastic. The meals were delicious and we were served fairly quickly. The menu was great, which made it hard to decide on a meal! 4 different meals, all delicious. Very tasty! So, don't get me wrong, we will return... It's just not a place we'd pop into after a shopping trip again. We'd have to plan it and budget for it.

TLDR: Good food, good service, small portions The food was nice and the size of the food is great for reducing food waste, which is very commendable! I would say that the price does not reflect the smaller portion sizes and I was surprised when my food came. The service was great but slow but I think this is due to the layout of the restaurant with some seating areas having low visibility.

Visited after work with a friend earlier this week. Our waitress, who I think was the manager, was brilliant. Really friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, and even though it was busy - the staff gave their full attention. The restaurant is also in a really lovely location. Will definitely visit again.

This place is a disaster. They had no chicken—one of the most basic items. The service? Incredibly slow, with staff who seem totally uninterested in helping you. But the worst part is the cleanliness. The floors were sticky, tables filthy, and everything looked grimy. I wouldn’t be surprised if they failed a health inspection. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

Food stone cold had a missing item paid £7 for a handful of fries

Food was fine, but all aspects of the service were incredibly slow. They did apologise, but what should have been a quick bit to eat took almost 1.5 hours.

Probably a 3.5/5 rather than a 4 if being honest. Called in for lunch with the kids on Sunday in October just after 12. Ordered the sea bass with saffron gnocchi, margherita pizza and kids carbonara. Pizza was good (difficult to get wrong!) and the sea bass and carbonara were OK. I thought sea bass was a little under seasoned and the bowl was pretty cold which meant that the lobster bisque with peas went pretty cold at the edges quickly. The carbonara was quite rich but one thing noted was the bacon/ham was very heavily smoked in flavour! Suppose you either like it or don't but quite strong for a kids' meal. Couldn't fault the staff - absolutely lovely, and the food arrived quickly after ordering. Nice bright and airy place to sit and watch the Media City activity.

Excellent food. My partner had Prawn and Ravioli and I had a smoked Tri carne Pinsa. Both were delicious. Well worth coming here for food

Absolutely abysmal service today at lunch time. If I could give 0 stars, I would. As a semi-frequent visitor, we've been in this prezzo plenty of times and we have been recommending it to family and friends. When we arrived it was nearly full, but we managed to get a table. That's where the positives end. It took a while for someone to come and take our order, which was fine given the fact it was busy. First thing I said to the waitress was "we want all the food together" and then we proceeded to order two meals from the starters and pizza sections. The girl didn't confirm or repeat the order and just went away. In about 25min time we were brought just the two starters and again she just walked off. After flagging her down and asking if the rest of the food is coming, she said no, she was under the impression it was supposed to come separately. We said we asked for it together , which was literally the first thing I said. She said she doesn't know how quickly the food could be made and again walked off. We couldn't start eating our food given the fact half of it was missing , so we started waiting. Mind you absolutely no one came to apologize or advice how long it would be. After additional 40mins (on top of the previous 25) with the cold half of our food untouched and no one bothering to come and update us on what's happening, we asked the waitress for a box for that food and for the pizzas to be boxed up rather than on a plate. While I was trying to ask for the bill she walked off again and we didn't see her for another 10minutes. We managed to get the managers attention and went through what happened and that we want the bill and the food to be boxed up. She said she'd sort it out. From my seat I could see the pizzas where only then started. So about an hour after we ordered. After few more minutes of everyone just ignoring us, we finally managed to get the food and bill. And when the waitress came to take the payment, she said "oh yeah sorry, it's just busy today". That was the only apology given. Does the fact that it's busy mean we need to wait over one hour for our full order and after complete ignoring from the staff? If you can't handle busy periods just tell people you can't take walk ins , rather than wasting our time and money. Oh and to end a perfect time - when we opened the pizza boxes at home, we discovered the pizza dough was not cooked enough and needed additional 6-7 minutes in our oven. Plus the sauce from my starter meal was not put in the box. So waiting over 1h15mins just to have to cook the food at home. This is genuinely the worst service we've ever received and it's shocking how badly it was dealt with. And serving food which is clearly not cooked enough can make someone sick. I am completely aware that no one from the management team would take responsibility, as we've seen during our visit no one cares to even come and apologize, so just take notes and refuse to serve people if you can't do your job properly and you waste people's time and money.

Rude staff, food is horrible, will never go here , ruined my dinner 👎🏻 Served Caesar salad without Parmesan cheese (which was in description of the salad), dressing was horrible and watery. Waited too long, and when I asked the waitress politely about Parmesan cheese , she brought cheese in a plastic pack and started to grate it over my plate and told me to stop when it’s enough, I said thank you, so she can stop. However she asked in a rude way - is it definetly enough?, which makes a customer feel very humiliated. Obviously no apologies about missing ingredient. No wonder why the place looks empty most of the time.

I had been in prezzo Salford quays yesterday, 16/06 around 4:00pm the food was ok, spritz was a joke, I took all the ice and was not even a 50ml of nothing, but my worst experience was with the person in charge, I have cash to paid, and been told that only card payments is accepted, I said that we had not been informed about that, and with very rude way, said that is a note in the door and gone, he didn’t look at my eyes, When he back to said that he will take the money but he will not give us the change, I went close to him, to explain that we should be inform as we went straight to the terrace with not chance to read the door note, as a deaf person wearing hearing aid, I just been close to him and with nice intención in a formal way, touch his arm with my hand to try to explain, His attitude was super violent, removing my hand from his arm, which was only a gesture of approach due to my disability, and it made me feel as if I was doing something wrong, I explained to him why I approached him and without looking at me, he left. .. I explained to him that that was unpleasant and as I was talking to no one... better training needs to be given to people who are in charge.

Lovely food had pizza which was slightly cold just needed a quick blast in the oven but they insisted on making a fresh one which was perfect then they took my drinks off the bill. Above and beyond 👍👍👍

We were served by Nathan last night, he provided us with the most amazing customer service from point of entry until we left! Also we had not been for some time and the menu is so much better for vegetarians and meat eaters with more variety to choose from. Food was delicious too

This is a great Italian restaurant. Prezzo is perfectly situated in the middle of Media City opposite the small park and Tram stop. It’s a great place to eat if you’re walking through Media City. I have been here many times in the few years I have lived here and I think I’ve had most things on the menu but my favourites are the Arancini for starters, the Dolce and Piccante Pizza for a main with a Peroni beer and if I have room I typically opt for the cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant itself is stylish, looking. The tables aren’t too close together and the sofa area is comfortable. There are nice views of the park from the restaurant too. I’ve seen many staff at Prezzo over the last couple of years and I can honestly say they have all been very friendly and helpful. I often have a voucher on my phone for discounts and they are very happy to process them. This is a great place to stop and eat. Thanks for reading

My friend had purchased a ticket to a Classic Rock gig at The Lowry, and we decided to go to Prezzo nearby. Included in the meal was a free bottle of wine too. Absolutely lovely food, lovely personnel and great atmosphere. Can wholly recommend. Nathan Manager and waitress Noora very friendly.

Had not been to Prezzo for a while and the quality of the meals has clearly declined, or maybe I just chose poorly. Ordered the Crab & Lobster Ravioli, which sounded brilliant in the menu: "Handmade ravioli generously filled with crab and lobster. Served in a velvety tomato lobster bisque, spinach and a handful of chives" That "generously filled" part was a lie. The ravioli were flat. And look, I know crab and lobster ain't cheap, I was expecting a hint of them, but still, how difficult is to mince courgettes/leeks/celery/shallots, reduce them in seafood stock so they infuse, and then mix them with the tiny bit of lobster/crab so at least the pasta looks like proper ravioli and not like pancakes? And the "velvety tomato lobster bisque"? It's just creamy tomato sauce. That's it. It was SO disappointing. Still, it was warm, it tasted ok, and the service was absolutely lovely; so it will do in a pinch. I just need to remember to order pizza or Alfredo next time.

I've eaten here a few times over the past 6 months and can say that on every occasion, the food and service has been excellent. If you're in Media City, it's definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Italian food.

Pizza was cold when it arrived

Some of the food was cold and bland. Delivery person had trouble finding our house from right outside.

Came here with my son for dinner. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the food. They are setting the standard for how restaurants should be. I didn’t have to ask for anything, check backs throughout the meal and they couldn’t do enough for me. All exceptionally friendly and even held the door open for me when I left all saying bye. The pizza is literally the best pizza I’ve had in a long time absolutely delicious, Thankyou ! I will be recommending to everyone and will definitely be coming back :)

Was dining alone. First time away alone too. Abbie and the gentleman that seated me were very friendly and attentive and made it the best dining experience I've had to date.

Been coming to Prezzo for years, last was June 2022 and boy what a difference a year makes. Love the garlic bread with onions but they served half compared to a whole garlic bread last year. We then read the menu again, our mistake, we had to pay extra if you wanted a full garlic bread. Topping was a bit measly too. Portions have reduced in size. Calamari looked like from a bag out of the freezer what happened to rings? Pasta was lacking in flavour. My husband was still hungry when we left but we wouldn't pay any more as the bill was getting pretty high. Sadly our last visit, you don't get what you pay a hell of a lot for.

Visited 29/08/23. Very disappointed the service was terrible waited 30 minutes to get our food ,ordered olives got chips ! Spaghetti carbonara was cold and very salty had to ask for cheese ,not offered . The waitress was rude and not interested, especially when she realised she wasnt getting a tip . Won't visit again and wouldn't recommend it .

Really lovely evening. The sun was shining one day in August so we took advantage after work, my partner met me and we went to Prezzo. Food lovely and the staff really friendly. We chose a pizza each, side order of chips, chocolate dessert, cider and a coke. We thought it was a little on the expensive side my partner had a 20% off which included two drinks and the bill was over £40. Really nice though and will go back but maybe miss out on the pudding at £7.95 it wasn’t that nice, I should have stick with the cheesecake.

The food was blunt, no taste, worst I had ever. The tables are sticky and disgusting. Pizza is good, but I would not recommend pasta. I don't think I would go again too soon.

We went for our late lunch on a Bank Holiday weekend. The atmosphere was lovely and food was gorgeous too. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch there.

Very busy at lunch with lots of TV personnel around. Weather was beautiful which made it good. Nice surroundings. Could not fault food, wine or service. Good Italian pasta, great glass of wine what more could you ask for 😊

The food was quite good other than there was no avocado on the chicken, bacon and avocado salad. No staff were in the restaurant to query this unfortunately and were generally quite slow to get around all the tables. Otherwise it was tasty.

Nice pizza 🍕! I usually don't have high expectations on restaurant's chain, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed the pizza in Prezzo. We had 2 pizzas, salad, and truffle fries. Everything was tasty. The pizza crust was thin and a bit crispy on the edge, just how I like it. The staff was very friendly.

Such boring, very overpriced food. I ordered the beef and mash and it was like a child's portion. Couldn't believe how much our bill came to. I also had a drink poured down me by the waiter when he was leaning over me to pass my friend his drink. Wouldn't come back to any of the restaurants in this chain.

Used to be a great go to but last couple of times food has been bland. Asked for Parmesan and was given a block. In its tesco wrapper. And a grater. 😵‍💫 Service, and atmosphere no longer as vibrant as it used to be I'm afraid. Won't be going back.

Starter was really nice. Service was terrible on a Saturday. We ended up walking out as after 1.5 hrs we had only had our starter and the main didn't come as "whoever picked our plates up didn't let the chef know we wanted our mains...." manager on the day was absolutely useless, would understand if it was busy but we were 1 of 3 tables sat inside. Other reviews says weekends are rubbish for service so clearly they need to do something about it. Happy to get our drinks for free but would have been happier paying for a full meal. Our bill would have been £130+, ended up being £16...

Pizza was good but the service is very slow, they defenitly need to work on table service and attending people's bills faster.

Well it’s a Prezzo… basic food for basic people. What I don’t understand is why on earth there’d be a queue and booking is required when there are so many empty spaces to eat at. I only wanted to go so my kid could eat but, no, some oberfuhrer comes along and tells us to leave because we’ve not booked. Doesn’t even ask us if we’d like to book. Just wants to turf us out. Maybe we’re not basic looking enough…

Pasta dishes excellent, Pepsi and alcoholic drinks served. Gelato nice.

Fabulous burger and chips, and the young waitress made us feel at home, she was so helpful and she told us how she came in on her day off to help in the blistering heat. Would highly recommend. A bit overpriced however.

Prezzo - Italian food that is comforting to eat Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and menu The menu is simple and is easy to read. The heading for each course can be easily found so you will not be lost when finding your favourite dishes. Each dish has a good description about it giving a taste of what to expect from your food. The menu includes all the popular Italian dishes. It also caters for all types of diners from Meat lovers to Fish lovers and Vegetarians. In the Starters there is tasty Garlic Bread with Cheese, Calamari, Deep Fried Mozzarella if you love everything that is Cheese, Bruschetta, Italian Humous and more. In the Mains there are a great selection of Pizzas on offer with various toppings and flavours. There is a good selection of Pasta from Ravioli to Spaghetti Bolognaise. If you love Meat then there is the Grill section with Burgers to choose from. For those that are healthy then are some salads for you. There are a range of sides that can be added to accompany your Main. This includes House Fries, Truffle Fries, Green Salad and others to choose from. If you have a sweet craving then there are some top Desserts from the sweet and heavenly Sticky Toffee Pudding to Biscoff Cheesecake with a soft and flaky biscuit base. If you love cold ones then there is Ice Cream for you too. In the Starters the Garlic Bread was delicious. It was crispy on the outside with soft bread oozing with melted Cheese. The Calamari was cooked well and was not chewy or rubbery to eat. The Mayonnaise dip was a great addition as it adds flavour. The Deep Fried Mozzarella was scrumptious. A crispy fried topping with moorish Cheese inside. Yum. For the Mains the Crab and Lobster Ravioli was great. It was presented beautifully. It was tasty and had a good flavour however I would have liked to have a sauce with it to make it more fragrant. A portion of Chips is a great addition as it adds texture to your meal. The Biscoff Cheesecake was amazing. It was sweet and full of indulgent sticky Caramel with a light biscuit base that was soft to eat. Heaven. Service Our waiter Sergio was friendly and attentive. He gave us the time to choose the dishes that we wanted. He also gave us some great recommendations for the Desserts too. The food came pretty quick. It was all cooked fresh and it was presented beautifully. Lighting and Access The lighting is pretty decent at this restaurant however they may dim the lights during the late evening. Our table was near the window so we also had natural light. This enabled me to enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. In relation to access there are no stairs in order to enter the restaurant and it is great that it is all on one level. Parking Parking is available at the main one for the Quayside Media City UK (formerly The Lowry).
