20% off food cost ok but 10% dreaded service charge. This should be personal direct with the table service not for the Company. Also generally over priced although food good. That’s us finished for now.

We came in, perfect communication, drinks order and food order taken straight away. We waited 50 minutes for our food, 2 drinks orders taken. We asked for where our food was and it was bought out almost instantly, wasn’t the warmest of dishes. My pasta was an extremely small portion baring in mind i don’t eat a lot it didn’t even fill me up the tiniest bit. when asked about portion size the young lady said she would talk to her manager, she was a very good and informative waitress. the manager then came over and informed me she took £7 off of the pasta dish, no apology and went on to tell me that it was a small dish. it was on the main menu for £14.95, you wouldn’t expect it to be a small dish. a pizza order was wrong, we wanted a vegetarian calzone but a vegan one came out instead. the ravioli definitely was microwaved. on a whole wouldn’t recommend at all. been to this prezzos and many prezzos before and never had an experience like this. will not be visiting again.

We visited Rugby Prezzo for our anniversary, our meals were delicious as usual and we were looked after really well by all the staff. Our server Carlos was especially helpful and attentive and we really enjoyed our evening. We have always had a good experience here so will be back again.

the air conditioning noise was ridiculously imposing, so much so it was giving us headaches and after ordering and waiting over half an hour they realised they had forgotten our order! but the food was good quality despite the lengthy waits, some of the staff were very good and the manager was more than apologetic and offered a very healthy discount which softened the blow. not the normally good experience we have come to expect from Prezzo but hopefully just a one off blunder

2nd visit in a month, no improvement from last and won’t be going back. Food luke warm, staff just look like they do not want to be there.There is a reason why Bacco 150 yards away is so busy, managers and staff should take a visit there and learn how it’s done. Such a shame as Rugby is crying out for decent restaurants, this is in prime location and should be so much better.

Sore stomach morning after, in so much pain couldn’t attend work. This was my second time going and felt the same. Everyone else that I was with experienced the same. Such a shame as customer service was great and food was lovely.

All food ordered was totally inadequate, cold, tasteless and not appetizing. Totally overpriced will not be stepping over the threshold of this restaurant again! Out of 8 meals (all different) there was not one that you could say was nice. Cannot even say it was busy as we were the only ones in. Service charge , was this a joke??

10/10 service from Shona, who couldn’t have been more polite and friendly. She was very attentive and a delight. Can’t wait to come back! Would definitely recommend 👍

Not been to Prezzo for a while and I'd forgotten that, actually, the food is really pretty good. Throughout the meal I kept commenting on how good the service was and how polite and efficient our waitress was. So when the bill came I was prepared to give a decent tip. Looking at the bill I noted that 10% service had already been added. I'm never particularly happy about that practice as I think any gratuity should be an active decision rather than an obligation where the possibility to opt out makes you feel like a miser. Because the service was, as I said, excellent I was, on this occasion happy to go along with this. However when it came to paying by card I was prompted to give a 'voluntary tip of 20, 15, or 10% or nothing. Again the pressure to opt out. I have to say it didn't work and I ended up not giving anything extra. However, this attempt by the chain to use customer guilt to boost their sales ruined what was otherwise a really decent eating experience. Perhaps management of chains like Prezzo should spend more time thinking about what is important from a customer's point of view. So waitress service 10/10, food 9/10, ambience 9/10, company policy 4/10.

Such a great evening, so good to have fun alongside delicious food and grat company. Made all the better by George who was the acting Manager at Prezzo Rugby whilst they are away. He is from the Prezzo Lricsster branch. I'd been to Prezzo Rugbyva couple of months ago and he was there then, he was as great then with my Family as he was with 6 ladies. Super customer service and just the right ammount of attentiveness, we will definitely be back, he's exactly the sort or Manager you need, (think a visit to George in Leicester would be fun too!)

Came for dinner with my boyfriend and there was a small mistake with my meal making it not vegetarian anymore, our server Shannon was so nice about it and made sure it was remade and assured me there was no problem, aswell as discounting our bill We’ve had experiences of servers not being as understanding and considerate of my dietary restrictions so we were so greatful and happy with how the situation was handled! We went to Prezzos to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent but when i came to pay the bill I was "invited" to leave a gratuity. It was only after I had done so that i noticed that 10% had already been added to the bill. When I queried this with the waitress she told me that the 10% was distributed to all staff,,and it was not the policy of Prezzo to tell patrons this. I feel this has been done in an underhand way and took the pleasure of our experience, thus only 2 stars.

Excellent food, cocktails I had a negroni and a old fashioned were excellent - and the best waitress service I have ever experience (Shona) , was kept informed of orders and had very quick service - very impressed and highly recommended

My partner and I went into the restaurant and got taken to a table of 2 straight away. About 5 minutes in we got our drink orders in my partner made a special request of a mock tail she chose the citrus flavour and said there’s no fault at all . I can not fault the service or the food one bit. We were told today was the first day they introduced the new menu and the lovely man said I was the first to order the sea bass gnocchi and asked for my honest opinion. And my honest opinion is I haven’t had a sea food meal like it before I was not expecting it to taste the way it did it was exactly what I wanted the crispyness of the sea bass skin and the gnocchi was cooked to perfection with full taste of pesto. My partner ordered the spaghetti bolognese and she said it was amazing and it was perfect will be coming back! Thank you to the lovely people who served us and made us feel welcome

We were a party of 25 that were meeting the night before our nieces wedding. The food had been pre booked, it was a quiet Tuesday night.. We arrived at 6.30 and the place was empty apart from our group.. Without going into detail, the service was bl**dy awful. We had to chase for the starter then wait for over an hour for the main courses, which then arrived sporadically over the next 45 minutes.. With regard to the main courses, some of the orders were wrong. A couple of mains just didn’t arrive, including that of the father of the groom!!! The only shining light, was the young lady who was serving us who had to bear the brunt of our group disdain.. At 9.30 we walked away, without having had either sweet of coffees. If I could give a negative score I would. My/our advice, avoid!?!!

Came in for my birthday and Sebastian was completely on it offering us more drinks and super attentive. Maisie also was an asset as she came over and checked on us and asked us all about our evening and showed a real interest in our table. We are in the industry as a general manager of a chain restaurant and a waitress of 7 years and we would hire the both of them in a heartbeat. Despite an early afternoon arrival for lunch, we were greeted with a welcoming smile and attended to quickly and efficiently.

We have visited 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years now. Always a good range on the menu, and really good for the kids too. Meals have always been good, and will definitely visit again.

Busy Sat night but service was good, really friendly although there was a little waiting towards the end of the meal but nothing too heavy. Visited tonight. Restaurant was not busy but the service was very slow. As usual the mains were of their usual high standard however my dessert was inedible. I ordered the brownie dome with white chocolate sauce. The brownie was hard and virtually impossible to break into. The chocolate sauce was tasteless and the consistency of warm milk. When I complained to the waitress she shrugged and said that she would not have recommended it!. All in all a disappointing experience

We ate at lunch time on a Sunday, myself and 2 teenage boys, the food was ok but the service was dire, twice my son had to go up to the counter to get different things, no one checked we were ok they mainly stood chatting to each other. We’ve visited the Prezzo here a number of times but have to say on the last 2 visits we haven’t been that impressed.

Pre booked a table to partly celebrate my 80th birthday with my wife. Good choice for early Friday evening as restaurant gradually filled to capacity. Very good service with helpful choice of menu options. Starters and main meals served quickly and freshly prepared. Competitively priced menu and wine list.

We prebooked, and on entering mentioned we were paying partly with club card vouchers.

Last week my wife and I visited this restaurant and enjoyed a super luxurious pizza. Only one adverse comment to make, the knives supplied were not sharp enough to deal with the wonderful crisp crust.

This was not my first visit to a Prezzo but I had not been to this one before

We had booked a table for Saturday evening and when we arrived we were told that the ovens were not working so could not order any pizzas, flat breads or garlic bread. We were given the option to go somewhere else but it was late and the chances of getting a table somewhere was probably minimal. We decided to all have pasta and fries as we couldn't have garlic bread!

The pasta dish had a substituted vegetable (not told) and was watery and tasteless, and one of the pizzas arrived without the roquito peppers - the response was, after five minutes of waiting and not much apology, a small petri dish of cold peppers. The customer service team really didn't seem to care. 1 round of drinks, a 40% voucher (thank goodness) and no charge for the one pizza, so only two mains, no starters or desert, still came to £30 before service (which, funnily enough, we didn't feel inclined to give).

We visit the Prezzo again always good food and lovely staff. Just cold in disabled and baby changing toilet.

My partner and I had been gifted a Prezzo meal experience voucher as a christmas present, so we booked for a Sunday evening and arrived at 8pm. On first impression, the restaurant seemed vibrant, friendly and clean, which is always a good start when visiting a new establishment. The table I requested was dirty, so once we had sat down, the friendly waitress wiped the dirty table, covering my jeans in salt and pepper in the process. There was then some confusion over our booking, as to what menu we would be given. A stern looking lady then approached us, with no introduction and miserably said "can i see your booking". This confused me as I had booked prior to arrival, using my voucher details so an issue like this would be simply avoided. Once the staff had worked out which menu we were able to order from, we began to browse. The menu was very very limited, which was a shame, and I had begun to get the impression that gift voucher customers weren't exactly popular. The miserable manager lady came and took our drink orders (reluctantly), and then came back plonking out bottles and glasses on the table for us to pour our own drinks. Starters arrived in good time, delivered by the friendly waitress, and these were nice. Main course quickly followed upon collection of our starters. The pizza was a pizza, nothing special, and I was certainly glad not to be paying the full price for it. Whilst tucking into my hot and cold main of carbonara, I turned my head to notice piles of food debris located on the sofa chair on our table. Disgusting. Turning away from the mess, I was confronted by a chandelier hanging over our table, with what must of been an inch of dust covered on it. Equally disgusting. No issues with the rest of the meal, except the lack of service with a smile. I doubt we'll be returning to this particular venu, however i've heard good thing about the Prezzo chain, and am keen to try again!

My wife and I had been given a Prezzo meal voucher for Xmas by some friends. We duly booked and turned up. Our initial reception was good but as soon as we showed the voucher the interest changed. The menu available was not great but we didn’t mind that much, what disappointed us was the quality of service after that. Dishes arrived and were unceremoniously put on the table in a manner that we both felt was quite rude and the un-courteous, which left a bad taste. This wasn’t helped by the food being distinctly average and being charged 3.95 for a side of fries.

Visited with a group of friends (7). The place does look as though it could do with some updated furniture. The main meals were good, but the starters were varied in quality. The calamari was very poor. It looked like poor quality frozen stuff reheated!

Dear BBC why oh why! (Just for people of a certain generation). I love coming to my local Prezzo maybe 3 to 5 times a month. As a business owner sometimes you need a place you can trust for quick and convenience. The service is superb, the food always great. But and it's a big BUT. They have changed the wine menu again to European wines. For most of the year it was Italian wines along with an Italian menu. What is not to like? I always come here because it brands itself as Italian. Unlike some Italian branded pizza places. Please revert to Italian wines it makes the whole meal. Will I be back of course I will. I will just have to limit which wine I choose.

Been here a few years ago, returned today and we have found a run down furniture with a very poor service. During all the meal they didn't offer cheese for pasta, any oil for other mains, never asked if it was all ok or if we needed any drink. When I ordered the second drink, they got it wrong (1 drink in a table for 3). Got a coffee, served with no sugar or milk (thankfully I take it black). Surprisingly they never said thank you or have a nice day.

Prezzo used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Rugby but it has gone so downhill. Service is very poor. Food was nice but I won’t be returning and we used to go regularly so it’s a shame.

Visited for Sunday lunch, not enough staff in and it took ages to get our orders and to get the bill. It really wasn't busy so no excuse for such slow service. I can only imagine the chef was on his own. One meal was only luke warm, but all was tasty and filling.

Visited with my husband for lunch . Menu quite extensive offering a variety of dishes to suit all tastes . Price was reasonable and competitive with other outlets . My only negative comment would have to be the waitress could have been friendlier as she has direct contact with the customers . We felt that her heart wasn t really on the job and that clearly showed through in her personality . Shame really as a paying customer this could be a deciding factor on whether to visit in the future .

Seated at our booked table then waited for 20 minutes before we had to go and ask for are drinks order to be taken, My spicy carne calzone had lumps of gristle inside and then had to ask twice for the bill which took another 15 minutes, the restaurant was not even busy !!

Whether it's a lunch or a dinner, Prezzo is a good option. There is always an offer on their website and I am partial to an offer. I tend to come here for a catch up lunch or a last minute dinner date. It's a safe choice for me. The food is good and staff pleasant.

Came for a mid week meal! Glad we booked as it was very busy!

My wife and I came here for dinner and whist the food was ok, the service was terrible. The staff don’t seem to care at all. For example, we watched our desserts and coffee sat on the side for over 5 mins while several members of staff hovered behind the bar.

A pleasant restaurant with food that is predictable and quite a wide choice. Service variable but usually ok and was great on last visit. Food pretty nice. You know what you are going to get!

Having never been on a Prezzo we went for tea last week expecting just a pleasant pizza. But WOW we loved this place! The contemporary decor, the menu choices, the staff.. all seemed promising. Our food arrived we had the posh pepperoni pizza and the lobster and crab tortelli it was absolutely superb. The young guy who waited on us, made us feel welcome and well attended too, even when it was so busy they were turning people away. We wrongly didn't expect much from a 'chain' restuarant and well definitely be back soon!

Booked a table for 4 for a late Sunday lunch as not sure if t was going to be busy or not. Arrived and was greeted and the restaurant was quiet so we could choose our table. Service good and attentive staff. Good sized portions and food was tasty. Good all round. I do agree with one review about the wine list and a little more variety would be great. Only one slight criticism is that the booths could do with a bit of revamp as the seating was worn and split in places.

Went out for evening meal, sat down at 7.30 we had to ask for drinks which took 45 minutes. Them had to ask to place order, food took again 45 minutes. The Service was so poor, we then got the bill and they had added on a service charge. We told them we where not paying as the service was so poor, the food was okay nothing to write home about!

First time visit last night with family. Pleasant few hours. Everyone enjoyed their food. Portions are quite big so go feeling hungry. No complaints about the food, all very tasty. However, the wine wasn’t the best. We ordered Sauvignon Blanc then swapped to Pinot. They could do with a more extensive wine list in my opinion and they definitely need better wine glasses. Service was ok but our waitress barely cracked a smile. I would return for the food. The starter (see picture) was yummy.

We've been to Prezzo several times recently, both locally and when away on holiday. The food & service was exemplary on all occasions.

Food was absolutely beautiful. My partner and my friend were first timers. We will now be making it a regular thing.

We opted for the summer set menu. Great price. Lovely food. Everything was delicious. Hubby had the sea bass which we had to pay a little bit more for, but it was good. Portion sizes are good too.

Prezzo in Rugby is always a pleasure for me and my 90yo father to visit. The staff know him well and look after us accordingly. There is a nice, quieter area at rear of the restaurant, away from the hubbub of the main floor and we sit there to enjoy our lunch or dinner. As an Italian themed restaurant it does a good job of presenting a reasonable range of dishes. The starters are tasty, and fresh. The Parma ham is good - if sliced a little thickly. Sometimes they have special mains which are delicious - I remember one with nduja recently which was awesome. If you know anything about Italian food, you'll see this as exactly what it is, a mid-range priced restaurant with a good range of authentic dishes for all the family to enjoy. Consistently solid and satisfying. Good value for money.

Went for my husbands birthday meal, overpriced food. Staff of three girls hadn't got a clue, waited ages for a glass of wine, when asked where it was, no apologies from them as they had clearly forgotten it! the staff spent more time behind the counter laughing and giggling rather than on the floor looking after their customers.The restaurant wasn't busy for Tuesday evening. Really disappointed, will not eat there again and not recommend it.We eat out regularly and have never had such a terrible level of service.

Every time I'm coming back to this particular Prezzo I'm greeted cheerfully, the staff recognises me, drinks and courses are always arriving at the right time. Great value, recently took my dad there to celebrate his birthday, everyone loved it :) Every time I'm in Rugby I just have to stop by.

We as a family love Prezzo, however our visit last night means we won’t be returning to this branch.

We have always loved Prezzo but haven't been for 12/18 months. Our experience yesterday was very disappointing! The table we were shown to had badly ripped and patched up(poorly) bench seats. I can't believe the restaurant manager still sees those seats fit to sit diners at to be honest. We ordered a jug of water while studying menu as our two children were thirsty. It arrived and the jug was filthy..glass not clear and sparkling, instead it was smeared with greasy marks all over it. The glasses were the same and wife's glass had lip stick marks all over it! We did tell two members of staff but was not given a clean glass, or infant 4 clean glass's and a clean jug of water! My wife and I had to share a glass. We had planned on ordering other drinks with our meal but the state of the glasses put us off so just stuck with the water. The plates came with our meals on..my son (3 years old) said "Mummy, my plate is all dirty! Sure enough it was. It has food from a previous meal still suck on it...again we told staff but wasn't given a clean plate so one of us had a bowl with a plate underneath so slid his food into that. I picked my plate up and it was filthy underneath and none of them were clean. They were all smeared and greasy. I think they had just been washed in water..NO liquid cleaner of any sort. If it wasn't for the kids being so hungry, we would have sent meals back and left. Although tasted ok, the filthy plates put us off. Also behind bench seat is like a surface that runs around the back of the seat...it had dust all over it! The mirror was filthy, and the light above tables were covered in dust! This got me thinking..this is what customers see..and it's filthy..what is the kitchen like? This is a shame because we used to like Prezzo..sadly, we won't be returning.

Went to have lunch with family . 3 adults and 2 kids .

We have visited Prezzo in the past and have always been pleased. We hadn’t been for about a year and were very disappointed in the deterioration of the restaurant.

Have been a couple of times. Serving staff are friendly. First visit was pretty good. 2nd time was a bit of a let down. Food came out luke warm as we had 2 for one vouchers and the wife’s food was ok I put it down to me just being fussy and didn’t say anything. I’d give the place a anouther try as even tho the food wasn’t as hot as I’d expect was still nice.
