Wonderful traditional Italian restaurant with great staff who are so welcoming and friendly. The food is so so good and really reasonable Worth the visit.

I’ve been twice now and the food and service was absolutely amazing hoping to dine again soon

Came for a meal with my wife and daughter. Absolutely fabulous meal. Food was delicious. Deserts were immense and my daughter does suffer a bit with anxiety and the waiter was joking with her and she was giggling away. Fantastic experience 👏🏻

A hidden gem in Rugby! Food is divine and the portions are massive. They definitely have the best tiramisu I’ve had outside Italy! Recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment. Even midweek it was packed. Staff were great as well.

Saturday evening, table for 5 pre-booked. Vibrant Italian , quirky decor, friendly helpful staff. Plenty of choice from Bar. Menu was varied, plenty of choice for all, some choices are very large (for those with big appetites} Food was well cooked & presented, tasted delicious. Will visit again

I cannot heap enough praise on this place. It's simply in my personal opinion the best restaurant in Rugby at this time. If you can book a table do so, try at least a month in advance because usually dinner service is very very much in demand. Order anything, it's all good and portion size will definitely fill you up. Other establishments please note. If you haven't dined here then please trust me and give them your patronage, you shouldn't be disappointed. I most certainly haven't been! Paid £95 for a supposedly inexpensive meal for 2. Hard to find a positive thing to say about it. Shame, had looked forward to it given other reviews.

Brilliant date night here. Our first time and although there was a mix up with my main (likely due to my trying to pronounce the Italian name) they dealt with it amazingly. Fab staff, great food. Highly recommend!

Try the Gamberoni - big Juicy Butterfly King Prawns with garlic Chilli. 👌Magnifique!

Lunch: Had a simple £13 carbonara and I didn't want it to end. Utterly flavoursome. Only thing missing was a tiny bit of focaccia to take the last bit of carbonara from the bowl.

Nice spot of lunch with a good friend in-between Christmas and New Year. Not too busy at lunch time although still booked. Great service, excellent food, lovely wine, all reasonably priced.

Went with friends for a dinner on Saturday night and I must say I loved every minute of it. The host and staff very friendly, atmosphere amazing, decor beautiful and the food absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely go back there again. Highly recommend 😊 you won’t be disappointed .

What a fabulous restaurant! The food was gorgeous and beautifully presented, and the waiting staff were all very friendly and efficient. We went for a pre-booked late lunch on a Saturday, and the restaurant was full, with a lovely buzzy atmosphere. I had chicken breast stuffed with Parmesan and asparagus in a creamy sauce, on a bed of mash with carrots and Brocolli. It was absolutely delicious and a huge portion. My husband had sea food linguine which he also thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for its fabulous atmosphere, authentic cuisine and quirky decor. A real gem.

A lot of hype for nothing! Great welcome, but food was basic and not cooked up to standard! Would have had better food at the next door weatherspoons!!! Lovely waiters at least to provide good service!! Would I recommend? Nope there are better restaurants I'm rugby for sure!!!

Great food, good sized portions, very friendly service. Only slight downside is like so many other restaurants it's all hard floors & hard chairs so gets rather noisy. Other than that it was a great experience.

Found the restaurant very noisy, background music far too loud to hold a conversation, the white wine was not chilled, when asked, the staff member offered us some ice to put in it. The food was tasty if not expensive, the portions were extremely generous, maybe too large. Interesting to visit but wouldn't rush back.

This is my second experience here and was my chosen venue to celebrate a birthday. The food was just incredible (again) and the service and friendly team here are just amazing! Super cheerful, helpful and friendly! It’s difficult to secure a table here and I absolutely know why! I can’t wait to go again….lots of choice and there are so many dishes I want to try! Don’t miss out on the ‘sharing platter’…..but be warned - it’s enough for four people for sure!! The ‘house’ red wine is gorgeous!!

Have loved this place since it opened but it just gets better and better. Beautiful food and exceptional service in an informal and cosy family setting. A real gem that we are lucky to have in the town. Thoroughly recommend!

Been there twice so far, food have actually been quite disappointing. Pasta flavours are one dimensional and overcooked. Dish itself is boiling hot when served (read uncomfortably temp to eat) sauce is bland. Feels pressured by waitress from ordering and when made comment about pasta was told: “I’m sure our Michelin star chef knows what they are doing”. Clearly not at the Michelin star restaurant anymore as I’ve never been to a pasta restaurant that serves boiling hot pasta that taste like Dolmio. After visiting twice I’m confident that I won’t go back again.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Went there at 7 and we were 3 people. Had starters which we finished eating around 7:25. Thereafter started the long wait, after asking the staff what is happening with our mains they finally arrived at 8:15. At 8:35 we were quickly offered desserts and two minutes after desserts were served we have been told we have 5 minutes to leave as our time is out and there is another table. Fair enough, but then we said that we waited for our our mains almost an hour after we finished the started and the only thing we could here was that they are very sorry but we still need to leave. Food is amazing but not going back there.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We've waited a long time for a quality independent Italian restaurant and at last we have one. Very reasonable prices and always very busy. It's essential to book ahead to reserve a table. Had lunch there today, Valentines day. Top class food and service. Almost one year since it opened and their standards have remained exceptionally high.

Amazing food & service. Big portions and very tasty and at reasonable prices. Our waiter was also very kind. I definitely recommend it. The only drawback is that it gets too busy and so noisy that cannot talk & hear your partner/friends.

Insanely good! Best Italian we’ve had in England. Everything was delicious, portion sizes were so generous we had to box some up and take it home. The flavours were just *drool*. Atmosphere was super relaxed and the staff all very warm and friendly. 4 mains, 2 puds and a round of drinks for £70 is fab value for money with how yum the food was! Sad but relieved we don’t live in rugby because I’d have to work my way through the whole menu.

We stumbled across this place and are so glad we did! The food is absolutely incredible: the waitress ‘warned’ us that it’d be the best Italian food we’d ever eaten and she wasn’t wrong! Will definitely be back for more.

It was a long overdue visit. This place books up fast ! It did not disappoint, had the chicken and mushroom risotto, it was by far the most flavoursome risotto I've had in years. Great buzzy atmosphere, friendly service, piping hot food and don't know what they do to the olives but they were like the risotto, devine !

Incredible food, varied menu and served piping hot. The service was exceptional and every member of staff was smiling and very helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough. So many finishing touches thought of.

We dined at La Dolce Tavola after our corporate event, a table of 40 which was catered for, food was lovely and would recommend, the Icing on the cake had to be the 2 young staff serving us, Monreau & Kiera who looked after us all, they are a credit to the restaurant and looked after us all evening, 5 stars awarded not only because the food was great but the service from these 2 also.

Disappointing experience, too much hipe and didn't live up to expectations. Slightly tatty,food was good but didn't blow us away to qualify the prices, felt pressured in making food choices which was then rudely commented by the waitress of side orders.Would we visit again (NO) shame as it was my birthday treat

It was okay, not the worst , but definitely not the best Italian I've had.

Went last week for the second visit after a positive experience the first time. Food was great in quantity in taste. For anyone looking to try you do need to call a few days in advance as they are always fully booked (They are, it's not some sales ploy). Prices were reasonable for what it is aswell. We happily return again.

Good atmosphere and service but food not Italian. I had Chicken Risotto which was a large bowl of scorching hot, flavourless rice soup. Everyone seems to love this restaurant, portions are gigantic.

I was most impressed with the extensive variety of meals on the menu - there's got to be 20-30 different things you can choose from, which is refreshing. The staff are really nice, professional and appropriately attentive. We had a party of six, everyone ordered something different and all of them looked and tasted lovely. Not cheap... but not unreasonably expensive, either. Well worth booking if you've got an event coming up.
