Prezzo in Welwyn Hatfield

We came here for half past 8 keep in mind they close at 10 and they literally shooed us away saying that their kitchen has closed and they won’t be serving tables anymore.

Surprisingly very good,good enough in fact to leave this review...came here last year and had very different experience. Was greeted warmly and allowed to choose our preferred table,very comfy booth seating,also had our favourite white wine(new Zealand sauvingion blanc) had the garlic and caramelised onion with mozzarella for starter as a sharing portion,was handmade and spot on!,service was top notch and knowledgeable about food and wine,had the crab and lobster ravioli and lasagne for main and was hot and fresh and delicious... Couldn't fault it,very reasonable prices for the quality and service,would recommend and will come back again ,only down point was my dessert,baked orange cheesecake was grainy and dry and didn't come with the fresh orange segments as advertised ...all in all 9 out of ten and will be back,eell done team at Prezzo Hatfield!

Turned away at 6.30pm. Apparently staff meeting about a new menu. What a load of rubbish. Then they all wonder why they go out of business. Another restaurant about to die in the Galleria.

Visited with my family and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ours meals and the wonderful warm and welcoming service. We had the pumpkin ravioli which was delicious and my sister had the spinach and ricotta and my dad absolutely loved his prawn spaghetti! Our waitress was wonderful and we shall most certainly be returning soon!

We were a party of 12 dining very early (about 5 pm). My pizza (Margarita looked and tasted authentically Italian and had a wonderful crust. Everybody's order was executed accurately and within a reasonable time. The house red wine was great too (soft and fruity).

Food was served hot and well presented. Cleanliness was very good at the table and in the restaurant overall. Really tasty food and reasonably priced. Service was outstanding, very friendly staff, very helpful and very professional.

Absolutely phenomenal! We came for a family lunch and were not disappointed. Our daughter has allergies-milk and wheat- this was not a problem! Fresh gluten-free pasta and chicken cooked in only a few minutes. Service was fantastic-same level of respect given to everyone. Thank you so much.

Poor Service, bland food and only reasonably priced if you have a tastecard so it is half price. Manager is very friendly and professional. Food took ages to arrive. Starter was very bland and went for most expensive one. Mains we went for Pizza but it was over cooked so not enjoyable. Dessert was ok but seemed to be half the size of a dessert at other restaurants. Drinks are a rip off! £4.75 or 4.95 for Coke and £6.95 for a pint of beer! You literally have to wave to get the attention of the waiters. Overall was not impressed and there was only about half a dozen tables dining.

As always looked after very well. Neb and Chris today.. The service food and wine were all excellent in a very comfortable environment. Really accessible as large car park with the Galleria shopping centre. In that context able to buy in a couple of shops. Highly recommend.

My mum and I visited Prezzo today for the first time in ages. Food was delicious. And Chris, I think he’s the manager, was brilliant when we had a complaint and handled it so professionally. Will definitely be going back. It’s been too long!

The visit was without issue and the staff did all that could reasonably be expected of them. Good choice of food and delivered quickly to our table. Seemed to be well prepared and was very enjoyable and tasty so absolutely no complaints there. The staff who attended to us were polite, helpful and deserving of praise. We didn’t feel rushed and they helped make the overall experience very pleasing. The air conditioning was a little aggressive for my liking. I enjoy hot food and a chilled restaurant may be great on a hot summer day but in November it just makes the dish go cold too quickly. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

Visited with a group of friends who hadn't seen for a long time. Atmosphere great, food fantastic, staff polite and friendly we had a great night, until when we went to pay for the meal, we were told they didn't take cash, only card. They except cash only for the tip. Their was no information on the restaurant door etc that this was the case. Thank goodness we all had cards, God knows what would have happened if we didn't. They should indicate on the doors, and reminded before taking a seat.

I visited here alone this evening as I was away with work. The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing! Great for couples, families and large parties. I was quite happy in the restaurant dining alone ( I spent the whole time people watching!) Thank you

Last minute booking for our daughters 10th birthday following a shopping trip, we got stuck in traffic so we're 20 minutes late but the staff were brilliant when we called and we weren't made to feel bad, starters arrived quickly and were delicious, we also all enjoyed our mains which for a chain Italian were pretty good, we hadn't given them warning of the celebration but it had been mentioned when ordering the food so we were very touched when we went to order dessert and they had already planned to bring out a cake and candles and sing happy birthday for our daughter, they were all very attentive without being intrusive all night especially Alexa and Erica and we will definitely return, the staff are what makes a memorable and enjoyable meal out and I cannot fault the service we got here

Never eaten here before busted with family including children. Generous portions of hot , tasty food. Good menu for children away from the normal pizza, pasta, burger. The calamari was delicious! We were served by Chloe who was a delight, prompt, helpful and friendly. We will return here for sure.

Excellent food. Garlic bread and bruschetta amazing. Risotto with salmon and king prawns the best ever. Very generous portions. Manager so polite and helpful and all staff amazing. 10/10. Well done.

I have been quite apprehensive about eating out since the pandemic, but the management team have been amazing. Each time we’ve visited they have placed us as requested on a quiet table. So very happy about that! Staff here are friendly and attentive. Food is amazing. 100% recommend.

Unusually to a Prezzo out of London convenient to the entrance at the Galleria. Really nice welcome from Karina and likewise from Tao who also looked after us. Both very friendly and considerate. We had the cheaper menu and also a couple of free glasses of wine with offers. The food and presentation lovely as also the wine with a low cost for the overall experience. We will certainly go back and try the main menu.

I ate here with work colleagues. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was varied and tasty. The bottled lager beer was unfortunately not served cold enough which was disappointing.

Prezzo has changed it’s menu. The portion were reduced and the price went up. The service was awful, my kids desert was 2 smashed ice lollies. The food was of really bad quality. I was very disappointed. I won’t be coming back.

We went for pizza as a family of 4 to celebrate my eldest's last day at nursery before starting school. The food was yummy and the service was very good. I must say this is the third eating out experience we've had since places reopened...

Walked into prezzo was shown to our table but got bored waiting for them to take order only 6 other tables with customers staff spent time chatting at bar so got up and walked out over 10 mins later

Clean restaurant and food was not back but let down by some staff to interested in talking to each other in none English no one seems to be in charge but food Was OK and good value needs some staff retraining

A guest, the first time I had been to a Prezzo and if this is normal, the last. The place, clean and light, was about one third or a quarter full but nevertheless it took 55 minutes for two salads to be prepared and presented....

Visited this branch for the first time on my Birthday with my Son and elderly, very deaf Mother. Asked for a table by the wall to escape the music. The waitress strode to a booth, dumped the menus and strode off - good start.After we had shoehorned ourselves into the tiny booth, shoved coats behind us as makeshift cushions and tried (and failed) to get comfortable, we ordered drinks.I had a Birthday voucher for a free bottle of Prosecco and showed it to the waitress when ordering.The starters, 2 x calamari and 1 prawns were not great. The calamari was cold - really cold and the prawns appeared to be just defrosted frozen prawns smothered in a tomato sauce. The calamari was sent back. It returned hot but with a previously squeezed lemon wedge - nice.Main courses were ok. I had a salad that I have had countless times before - this time though the garlic bread served with it was cold. When I complained I was brought some fresh but was told that the garlic bread is served cold with the salad. a) who on earth wants to eat cold garlic bread? and b) why was it served hot the previous 20 odd times that I have had this salad?NB - our waitress was curt and failed to crack a smile all evening. She pointedly ignored me twice when trying to get her attention - strange that the Manager could hear me but she could not. Definitely a case of selective hearing......The final straw came when we were presented with a large bill. We had been charged for the 'free' Prosecco.Prezzo is usually great but at the Galleria it most definitely is not. Would not return.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and it was just as good as our first visit. The service was excellent and the food beautifully cooked and presented.The sticky toffee pudding is still one of the best I have tasted.

We enjoyed the antipasto as a main, but with a small number of changes it could have been much better. Here’s how.You were generous with the ham and salami but the pepperoni was far too fierce. One mouthful and your tastebuds could not have appreciated anything else. That’s why we left most of the pepperoni which was a waste. It may work on pizza but not antip. Why not replace It with some sliced gherkin and sun-dried tomato? We also needed a small piece of a hard cheese. Not only would it have looked more attractive, it would probably have cost less on the plate.Also, take a look at your oil and balsamic mix. A nice touch, but slightly more balsamic required. Other than those few ideas, we enjoyed the visit.

Had dinner last night and must say I love the Autumn 2 course or 3 course set menu ..The calamari starter and pizza bites are a great choice.The main has to be the penne with goats cheese it’s delicious!!And desert .. Honeycomb cheesecake Yum I much prefer the Hatfield Prezzo.Waiting staff are all lovely

I got here with my partner late yesterday evening, maybe half eight ish, and we were treated like the worlds biggest inconvenience. After reluctantly being showed a table for two, we were told there was no Ragu, no pomodoro sauce and no spinach.

We ate here for dinner, there were barely any staff service was slow. The tables were sticky and the floors dirty. If it wasn't for the vouchers we wouldn't have eaten here.

Decided to try this Prezzo for lunch and we were not disappointed. It's not hugely smart but it has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. We were served quite quickly despite it being busy and my husband had a beer and I had a delicious mocktail - lemonade with peach. I get fed up with poor choices of non alcoholic drinks at some places but this was lovely and felt quite special. My starter was Caprese salad which was nicely presented and gorgeous, while my husband had the calamari which he said was good. For mains I had goat's cheese penne al forno which was really tasty and a big portion. I'm a veggie so it was lovely to feel that I was having something decent. My husband had a risotto which he also really enjoyed and both mains were served nice and hot. A visit to the loo was also not unpleasant - very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of soap and loo roll - something so important yet often overlooked in some establishments. We look forward to a return visit when we next visit the Galleria, be it for shopping or the cinema.

Being a big fan of Italian cuisine and having heard good things about Prezzo I decided to give it a try, and it didn't disappoint. Had some great Bruschetta and a really tasty calzone - would recommend to anyone

After having a fabulous meal in prezzo Buckhurst Hill I thought it would be nice to take my husband and mother in-law before the cinema.

We checked to the place late afternoon the restaurant didn't have much people we were group of 5 people and ordered the pizza they took 20 mins which is quite normal and pizza wasn't that great as expected.And we thought of ordering pasta.As we were sitting near kitchen we saw our pasta was ready for serve but there was nobody to serve us.We continued to watch as the staff we busy in bar chatting and food started lining up one after the other after 30 mins the staff popped in with pasta( which had been cold ) and we asked to take back pasta but she promised us to get fresh one. But she returned after 10 mins with same pasta (heated in the oven).

Visited Prezzo at the Galleria at 5.30pm on a Monday evening. We were six adults and three children under five so we deliberately chose to come at a quiet time. There were only around eight other people in the restaurant so the staff certainly were not rushed off their feet. We asked for the children’s meals to come first but they brought out our starters and it was at least 30minutes before the children’s meals arrived. Then we’re asked if we could order our mains and the waitress nodded but didn’t

We stood in the door with no acknowledgement from any staff. Only 7 tables in. Eventually spoke to a bar staff who told us "I'm not even meant to be out here" - no apology. An uneaten Mcdonald's bag at on one table by the entrance.

I am fairly hard to feed - being someone who has a gluten intolerance. The waitress who served me was patient and understanding. I enjoyed a lovely pizza ‘posh pepperoni’. This is the first time I’ve tried this pizza and it’s a new favourite! The staff were very friendly and I felt as though I was taken care of. Thank you Prezzo!

Had a business lunch with colleagues earlier this week and had a wonderful time! The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Great place for authentic Italian food 👏🏼

Their pizzas/pastas/calzones are nice but the side salads are wilted and I found an insect head in mine. They took money off the bill but there was no apology or explanation.

Working nearby this is a regular restaurant for me, however last night was dire. The food was fine, but the service was awful. We had to constantly try and grab the attention of staff who seemed much more interested in playing with the till. Drinks had to be chased and the waitress was just full of crappy excuses that were not true.

We had a terrible experience at Prezzo Hatfield this afternoon. We were practically ignored the entire time we were there and had to remind the waitresses to take our order, bring our food, take our payment. I ended up getting my own cutlery as this did not materialise. There were several other diners who were getting irate about the slowness of the service. This was despite the restaurant being almost empty. Very strange experience. I won't be returning.

We were told when we arrived that the service would be slower as they were full tonight (restaurant was less than half full but one party in) we were happy to wait a bit longer but two courses in two hours? Food was overcooked- pizza was like a frisbee! We asked for the bill which was delivered to the table 15 minutes later, we waited to pay but ended up going to pay at the bar where the staff were hanging around in a gaggle chatting and laughing oblivious to Any thing going on around them. Prezzo is normally a very good chain to go to, but no care and attention taken tonight - certainly won't be rushing back!

Went to Hatfield Prezzo Today and I have to say I was very disappointed. I had ordered food and waited OVER AN HOUR for it to arrive and it STILL had not come. There was plenty of others who had come AFTER us and they had been given their food and was being served happily. So why I felt we got crap service I do not know. I am disappointed and quiet frankly angry! I feel they could have emphasised more as I got a measly "apologies." From someone called [] . With all due respect I feel he had brushed us off and couldnt 'care less' about customers... This resulted to us walking out of prezzo half way and cancelling our order. It far too long for only pastas and one pizza where as everyone else had got pretty much the same order.. and ordered after us AND got it their food quicker! poor customer service as I felt he was unprofessional and rude! Funnily enough he was quick enough to run to the till and print out our receipt for the starters and drinks we ordered as we had chose to walk out instead!! I WILL NOT EVER BE RETURNING to THIS branch and I will make sure others are known of the treatment received who knows I may get treated better from one closer to me! I will also be definitely making sure that word has got round as I don't want those closest to me to receive poor service too! And as for scoring? If there was a minus. I would have selected that!

Visited with two friends on a Saturday evening; the restaurant was a little busy but not overly. We had a reservation and were placed in a booth off to the side - and apparently forgotten about. After 25 minutes, we ended up waving across the room at a waitress (the second or third attempt at getting someone's attention) to place a drinks order, and ordered food at the same time as we'd been left waiting so long we dreaded to think how long we'd wait otherwise. We eventually were served, our food came, a little slow but at least it came. Throughout starters and mains, no one came to ask how things were or take any secondary drinks orders. We finished eating, and waited another ridiculously long time to get plates cleared and the desert menu. Should have known better but we placed an order anyway. The desert arrived, and rather than wait for an elusive member of staff to get an exchange, I had to ditch the jug of cream that was in a very warm jug, resulting in a curdled and inedible cream. Dessert ends and of course, the third long wait of being neglected commences. In this time, three tables close to us have come, been served and left. One table twice. We eventually get the bill - and left alone once again. Appalling service. Arrived at 5.40pm, and finally able to get out of the restaurant at 8.35pm, by which time the restaurant was practically empty. Will not be returning, that is certain.

Popped in for a quick lunch today with a colleague and had an amazing experience with the manager who was serving us. Amazing food and amazing service. Would highly recommend 10/10!

Prezzo in Hatfield is one of my favourite restaurants to visit. The food is always lovely, there is a wide range of dishes to choose from, the staff are friendly, and I simply cannot fault the place.

I’d love to rate it a little higher, but the service is sooooo slow, in an almost empty restaurant it took forever to get food.

We visited for a quite light meal before a cinema visit, we went at 1:30pm with the intention of being in the cinema for 2:30pm.

We came here in early autumn. Despite being less than half full one got the impression it was understaffed. Like many places in the Galleria the use of undertrained students as waiting staff impacts on the experience. I do not think it is their fault but that of the management. At one stage some water was spilt. We requested a cloth to clear it up and number of times and were then given a wodge of paper serviettes!

Staff were quick to find us a seat and service was good throughout visit. It was moderately busy for lunch. Food was good and staff were knowledgeable about items on the menu. Restaurant was clean. Overall visit was very good.

The list of things wrong with this place would beggar belief but I'll cover a few.

On arrival we were seated fairly quickly. However we sat for 15 minutes and no one even came over to offer drinks. A couple of staff were cleaning tables around us. We had a film to catch so left. We walked past four or five waiters and no one said goodbye or even made eye contact with us as we left.

Cheesecake was amazing. 👌🏾 definitely get the two courses for £11.50, make one of the courses the cheesecake.

I visited my son in this area and we went out for dinner, I felt like having pizza 😋 Been long time since Rome I ordered a customised one, it was really delicious and the staff are really nice

I visited Prezzo a few days ago with my dad and brother for lunch. Despite the restaurant being busy, we were seated very quickly. We were given plenty of time to decide what we wanted to order before a waiter/waitress came over, and for the cost of the food, it was absolutely beautiful. I can never fault this Prezzo restaurant.

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten somewhere where the staff are so attentive!!!! Very helpful apologises the food was a bit late but it was fine. Managed two course and a lovely glass of wine before our film. Would highly recommend! Decor is also excellent in the restaurant 10/10

Always enjoy a meal at Prezzo before or after a trip to the cinema. It is always busy with a nice atmosphere and the food is fresh and good.

Conveniently located at the main entrance of ‘The Galleria’, a very popular restaurant within a large chain. Tasty Italian food served by friendly staff.

We had the lunchtime set meal. It was £12.50 for 2 courses. We both had pizza (different) and they were lovely. The deserts were tasty too.i ordered orange juice which was lovely....full of bits and a generous glass too. Staff efficient and friendly.

This was my first visit to a Prezzo restaurant and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was most impressed. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was surprisingly good and the portions generous. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for.

This was the first time me and my friend have eaten in Prezzo and we can't fault anything they did. The staff was amazing they looked after us very well. Service was very quick and the food taste lovely. The amount of food you get and for how much it cost is amazing. The gentleman who served us his name was sebastian and id just like to say what fantastic job he done and we would all eat there again. Fantastic.

My partner and I were treated to a fabulous time at the Prezzo Galleria. Particularly impressive was the Posh Pepperoni on the set menu, second only to the wonderful staff members George and Sebastian who were able to help us with a rare chance my partner and I are are able to enjoy our time together. We were very well looked after.

Where do I start from. Most rude waiter and his name was Sebastian. I ordered pasta with red chillies and extra saucy however after long wait my pasta came with no what I asked for so I told the waiter and she wasn't happy and neither the chef cooking looked so not keen to cook the food again. Anyways they took the pasta away and replaced with lots of chilli flakes and extra red chillies when complained that it's too hot and there is difference between chilli flakes and red chillies their attitude changed and not once apologised and pasta was sent back un touched. Worse service ever and not even an apology instead Sebastian waiter was talking back to me. I will get this ombudsman for sure.

Popped in on Wednesday evening for a meal for 3 people. We were greeted with a warm smile and seated and a very comfortable booth.

We visited the restaurant on wednesday before the cinema. The food was very good and the service was amazing. We had a nice and young waitress, her name was Evy. She took our order, who was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much for everything. We will definitely be come back.

The food was delicious and it came quite quickly. The service was excellent and the restaurant was pretty. The portions of food were selected very good.

Having walked out of Bella Italia we went to prezzo as we wanted pasta. The service from start to finish was amazing and the food very good. Brillaint visit.

Attended for a lunch - found the set menu tried to order but found a third of what was no it was not available- spoke to staff asked to supplement missing item with a similar priced item - flat No not ebbed an apology for the fact stuff was missing. Same happened for desert. So if the three on offer you could have ice cream. Main meal was just past with a sauce or pesto chucked on top and some pre cooked chicken which was served lukewarm. Finally the bill can charge for a drink which was part of set menu and when challenged no apology for what was a simple mistake. When revised bill arrived they had deducted less for the fee drink that I had originally been charged. Not a massive cost but I am sure their is an integrity issue with this system. Went there for lunch with the kids. Service was slow throughout and the waiters were dull and lacked any customer service skill. Just took our order without uttering a word to us. Got bill but no one came to take our payment for 10 mins. The place had 3-4 diners yet such slow. Although Food was good.

Wonderful meal. Staff very helpful and friendly. Eeven though they were very busy Marianne found us a table quickly. Looking forward to our next visit next week.

A visited with a group of friends. We regularly visit this restaurant. The food and service is usually excellent. Not today. The salad was rancid and replaced with more ransid salad. The waiter was nonchalant about the issue. A lovely waitress called Boggy did her best to compensate.

My wife and I have been bringing our daughter for a pizza at this Prezzo once every couple of months for the past 4 years and have always really enjoyed the food, although the desserts were always a bit old and dry.

Great pizzas and good prices. Will recommend to family. Nice desserts too !!Will definitelly visit again!

Prezzo offered a bottle of prosecco in recognition

Whilst the starters arrived quite quickly, we had to wait over 45 minutes for the main courses. Thoroughly unacceptable and I would never go back. Is it any wonder - with this kind of service (sic) - that Prezzo is closing so many of it branches?

Second time we have visited recently and were equally pleased both times. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and seated promptly and given our menus. Service was excellent throughout the meal and the food was both delicious and filling. Great value for money. We particularly like the 2 person booths found in this Prezzo.

We visited at 7pm on Saturday night - service wasn’t great. We ordered our drinks before the couple next to us and received after them.

We could not believe how big this restaurant was! We thought because the Cinema was a short distance away it was very handy to eat there! We had our 3 grandchildren with us and had pre-booked so we had a nice table. Our 3 year old had the children's menu which seemed okay. My oldest grandson had a pizza with chips which he said was very good. The other grandson had the meatballs which he said was great. My salmon pasta was good and had loads of chillies in which I liked. Service was not that great, we had to wait a while for our dinks which I do not like. They were very busy though. Although the staff were good, I do not think I would go back to Hatfield branch as it is very big.
