Really delicious food, which tasted really fresh. Our waitress Natalie was so so lovely. Really happy, full of smiles and couldn’t do enough for us (including making our desserts!!) she made our afternoon so much better. Thank you Natalie. My little boy thought you were great and he loved the chocolate ice cream!!

I have to say that the Afternoon Tea experience we had was not the best. The venue, service, etc was fine but the actual food itself left a lot to be desired. The Afternoon Tea was a Xmas gift to my wife and I from some friends. I'm afraid I think the whole thing was overpriced for what it was and we would not have paid £24.95 ourselves. It is advertised as a Hendrick's Gin Afternoon Tea for two. At no point in time were we offered any gin. When we arrived, we were asked what we wanted to drink, so we asked for, and received, a tea and a coffee. We then had to make a selection from the set menu. The only selection required was what type of pizza slices we required. Apparently, one was not a choice as it came automatically but it appears the option for either/or was in the wrong place. So my wife and I thought we could have the goats cheese option and the ham option. What we got was the buffalo pizza and a "ham" option. I say "ham" because it looked like the ham had been put on as an afterthought and was barely there! It should also be noted that the pizza slices were thin crust and nothing like the advertised "fluffy mini pizza". We then came to their new invention of "panescone". This was neither Panetonne nor Scone. It was closer to a rock cake in its texture and over baked on the outside.. The cream and jam helped to make it more agreeable in the consumption, once you got past the crunchiness of it! Not scone like at all. And certainly not Panetonne like! The Italian traditional desserts were the highlight and in keeping with a "traditional" Afternoon Tea. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I would not recommend the afternoon tea to anybody based on this experience. This will not preclude me from eating at their establishments in the future as I suspect they are better at lunches and evening meals. I would suggest they stick to what they are good at in the future,

my family arrived and ordered lunch for three people at about 1250. the starter( garlic bread) came out at about 1.50. the main course arrived ( after i politely reminded the waitress ) at about 2.15. the restaurant was about half full. how they would cope if it was full is beyond me. they should have warned us before we sat down. 2 of the main courses were fine. the 3rd ( the pizza ) was only luke warm. my daughter was too hungry to complain. she was afraid of having to wait again, if we asked them to reheat it. we weren't the only ones. the couple sat next to us had a similar wait. ( they at least got a couple of free drinks to placate them.) they need to get some staff in. those that were there were run ragged. we got given some 30% off vouchers for a return visit. we wont be using them. for the sake of clarity, i personally didn't order for myself. my wife and children did. i was with them, but ate elsewhere .

The restaurant was half empty and yet food service was incredibly slow.. I ordered a gluten free pizza and I’m pretty sure it was a frozen pizza they used, as it was still frosted in some parts.. my partner ordered a gluten free bolognese and it was so watery that she could barely taste the sauce.. very disappointed..

Wowwww the allergy knowledge of this team in this restaurant is second to known. My family all have different allergies and always worry when eating out but today we managed to all eat a nice big meal without worrying. Thanks to the manager a tall guy and server Olivia for all the help. Will definitely return back and tell our friends

If i could give a negative star I would, the tables weren't clean, sat there for a good 15 mins without being served even though it wasn't that busy, it was cold in there and the manager had the audacity to blame us for not finding him to say we were ready to order... Disgraceful service!

Went here today for lunch. Prob 20 people in the whole place. Took 15 mins to take drinks order and 20 mins more to serve it.Eventually took order for the food. One starter and 2 mains.30mins later still waiting for the starter to arrive.When eventually it did half the ingredients were missing so it went back.10 mins later arrived again but wasnt ip to much.Waited further 40 minutes for mains to arrive.Ran out of time for parking due to the very slow level of service..Only go here if you have 4 hours to waste on lunch

Ideal stop off for lunch when busy Christmas shopping, service quick, food just as expected, tasty not haute cuisine. Staff are friendly, quickly efficient... two of today’s staff on ‘loan’ from Peterborough branch are Hatfield’s gain. Been before and will certainly visit again.

The service was really slow, we waited quite a while for our main course even though the restaurant was empty apart from a childrens party. Then after waiting what seemed like ages for a cold dessert, (their special) we cancelled and left. Apparently the kitchen couldn't find the sauce!

Food and drinks amazing. Service was second to none. Will be returning when I next visit to the Galleria.

3 of us went for Sunday lunch. We ordered drinks and then pizza, pasta and salmone alforno. The salmon was cooked beautifully, really melt in the mouth, but the tomato salsa and beans that came with it was extremely acidic.

Monday afternoon, right after school, we sat down for an easy quick meal at Bella Italia.

They was asking me to please rate us on Tripadvisor, so here is my experience: No welcoming, the place is pretty empty, still half of the tables full of dirty dishes and rubbish (I wish I can turn back the time and leave at this point). We was sitting there for a good 1 hour 40 minutes, for a basic drink, garlic bread, pizza and pasta. Maybe they deliver it straight from Italy. The boss lady can not eat her food, it was that bad. Last time this happened it was in harvester 4 years ago, so thank you for that. I expected nothing from the pizza still disappointed. It was half empty (I should make a picture next time but there will be no next time for sure...) it was dreadful. In the toilets, there was no soap for hand wash, all of them was empty. It was expensive, bad, like very bad food, clearly short of staff, and everyone who was there looked like they having the worst day of their life. This was easily my worst restaurant experience in the last 5 years. Please do a favour for your self, and go somewhere else, even the McDonalds in the same building is a better choice. Also do NOT believe the 5 star ratings. It's just unrealistic this can be 5 star for anyone on the planet.

The staff were lovely (wasn't very busy but we did go at 2 o'clock on a Thursday afternoon), very attentive when we said one of us had an allergy. They gave us a QR code which I scanned and a menu popped up with every dish and whether or not I would be able to eat it. I suffer from a nut allergy so this was incredibly helpful. The waitress even checked about the BBQ sauce I ordered as she wasn't sure if it would be okay. There is no way BBQ sauce would have nuts in it, but she checked anyway which I thought was a nice touch. The man who seemed to be running the shift was also very friendly, even cracking a few jokes with us.

Went in a group of six friends on a weekday evening. We have visited many times before, but the service was just awful on this visit. It was slow and the staff seemed totally disinterested. I am gluten free so I chose from the gluten free menu. The pasta was barely cooked and the sauce was tasteless. There were no gluten free dessert options available apart from a large icecream sundae, as they had run out of everything else. I’d avoid this restaurant in future.

Ordered olives, a steak and then some Gelato. Steak a little tough but food ok. Restaurant was about half full. Three staff running around like headless chickens. They were doing their best and were very pleasant but just not enough of them. Service was therefore slow. I was in no hurry so I was ok with it but others around me were obviously frustrated.

Visited for dinner after school, sat at a dirty table and had to ask for it to be cleaned. Ordered breads and drinks, children's meal and starter. Bread and drinks came, then waited ages, chased food, mains arrived but starter forgotten.

Awful slow service was in there an hour the children got their 3 little slices of garlic bread but at 3pm still sat waiting for 4 pizzas we left the restaurant with no food such a disappointment as had taken my children and parents out for lunch as my father goes into hospital tomorrow for an operation, not the day I had planned

The food was average at best, but it took 45 minutes to arrive from the kitchen. The staff looked depressed and unmotivated. The worst thing was the toilets though. My friend used them first and warned me that one of them had a broken hand dryer, so I used the other when I had to go only to find no toilet roll! Thank God I had some tissue in my pocket from a runny nose, else I would have been in a thoroughly humiliating situation. At these prices you would expect a lot better. I, for one, shall never return.

40 minute wait time for a normal Margarita Pizza. Food was mediocre and bland. Stick to lasagna Dishes.

So we took advantage of the £5 pizza/pasta Tuesday deal. The server was lovely but they didn't have some dishes and were out of rocket (which is in about 1/3rd of the dishes). The goats cheese tagliatelle was very bland and overcooked, which even parmesan (never had such bland parmesan!) couldn't save. When split into quarters there was so little topping on some slices of pizza they were turned into margaritas although the server brought over extra topping to put on top. The starter of deep fried cheese was fine but excessive for over £6 and the drink prices were as expected. The toddler toys were great and my toddler had a great time. We tipped the waitress because she was very nice but we won't be back, even at £5 a main.

We visited on a Sunday around 4pm so it was quiet in the restaurant. Service was so slow, not especially friendly and staff looked and acted as if they didn’t want to be there

Good, reliable pizza/pasta chain. Enjoyed our food (both had pasta) but the side salad was a bit small for £3.99 with only olive oil as dressing. Service was friendly and efficient. Red wine was fine, rose could have been colder. Pleasant enough for lunch time.

Had the misfortune to order a desert at this restaurant this evening but wished we hadn't.

we went with 2 grandchildren and had told the waitress we had an hour before going to the cinema. The kids starter came after half an hour, then the mains after 50 mins! I had kept asking but the two staff were very rushed and the large restaurant was almost full. They didn't say if they were short staffed but on a very wet day in the school summer hols, a busy restaurant was inevitable. When our mains finally arrived, our half pizzas were really dried up and we complained, it seemed obvious to us that they had been left under a heater or similar for ages. Rather than apologise because of the overload of customers, the waitress said it had to go in the oven for a certain length of time otherwise the bits of chicken wouldn't

The food was not as we expected. The waiter didn't know how to speak with the customers . He didn't say thank you or enjoy. He didn't ask how was the food .

Last Thursday evening, went for a meal with children after the Cinema, three of us had the spaghetti, it looked as though it had been reheated even though it was not very hot,called the manager and told him one was cold, he said he could not understand how one was cold and not the others before we could answer he took plate away and when he returned said he had reheated it in a fry pan, still not very hot left most of the food and NO TIP , NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE

Although we booked in advance there was no reservation when we arrived. We were sat directly underneath the incessant noise of the thump thump thump "music" and no one could tell us what the title of this noise was. So much for the entertainment. We ordered a house red wine costing £15 took one sip and immediately wished they had a spittoon to avoid me having to swallow the disgusting taste of the liquid. It was musty almost fizzy and quite reovolting. It was sent back and we drank water instead. The main courses came and I had the lasagne, surely this would be alright but in fact there was absolutely no taste to it. half was left, the pasta dish was again the same taste-less mixture and again half was left. The place has no atmosphere and looks unclean and unkempt and dark

I don't quite know where to start. We were hoping to have a lovely evening together and eat some great vegan food but it was everything except a good experience. The service was exceptionally slow. We waited an hour before our main was served and before that our starters were incorrect and one had a hair in it. We werent given ang cutlery and had to take it off a nearby table. Further more one of the mains had what appeared an animal fur (fab for a vegan) and to be honest the food was average at best. Certainly not worth the price on the menu id get better in a microwave meal. We ordered two of their new bellinis and the elderflower one had off syrup that just collected at the bottom of the glass, the glasses were dirty and both drinks were served warm. Not very nice. The dessert we ordered was lovely. The vegan cookie dough is the only reason we would ever consider going back and if we did we would order, go shopping and then go back. Maybe then we would have it on time. Getting the staffs attention is impossible. One member spent most of their time behind the bar on their phone, with our drinks ready sat next to him. The only saving grace was a lovely waitress who seemed to be the only person doing her job. She took our dessert orders and checked on us, she wasn't even our waitress. Lastly, we ordered chips as a side to our mains and they were never even added to our order so we never received them. All in all one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We left hungry, frustrated, and miserable. All we wanted was a relaxing dinner together, go home and watch a movie. Instead we went home and drank wine.

Visited the Hatfield restaurant today and the service was very good. We was very pleased with the attention we received from the staff. Defiantly recommend lunching here. We will for sure be returning on our next visit to the Galleria! Thank you

Popped in here today for a quick lunch before taking the children to the cinema. Would of left a positive review if I actually got to taste the food. Service was so slow we had to walk out and grab a Mc Donald’s before the film.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this lovely restaurant. We were served by Jessica, who was helpful and very friendly. We had a calzone and pizza, and it was really nice.

I went here with a friend for lunch last week. We had a voucher from Buy a Gift so had to choose from a separate menu. This was not really a problem as there was quite a bit of choice. I had dough balls and a dip as a starter and then spaghetti bolognase. The food was served hot and there was plenty of it. We shared the desert selection. The deserts were delicious but it seemed odd we had an odd number of them for 2 of us! The lady that served us was very friendly and the manager was excellent going the extra mile to sort out a query regarding the menu choice for us. The toilets were clean and the venue is spacious, clean and airy. I would certainly eat here again.

We were not advised that the soda machine was broken when being seated until we ordered drinks.

We were not advised when we arrived that the soda machine was broken meaning we couldn't have any kind of fizzy drink. I could deal with this as these things happen but then my food arrived looking like an overcooked ready meal and tasting even worse. Service was ok but we were not asked if everything was ok with our meals despite the fact that most of it had been left. We won't be returning.

We went here for Father’s Day! Told we could have a table for 45/60mins as it was booked out. 10/15 minutes after sitting down we were asked if we wanted drinks to which point we ordered our food and our babies food off the kids menu. 30mins later our starters arrived. Ours was lovely our baby however received rock hard garlic bread! I could barley break it! After 10mins lady asked how it was she knew it wasn’t great and went and got her another one which came out soft with melted cheeses completely different! Why serve a baby rock hard stale garlic bread!!!

We went in for lunch and it looked a bit quiet in there which was great considering it was half term. We were seated straight away and our drinks order was taken. It took a while for our food order to be taken but it did look as though only one person was serving so tried to be mindful of that.

Terrible service, waited well over an hour for our food ,ordered as we came in but didn’t impact on the time we got our food. They said they were busy but had lots of empty tables clearly not enough staff and no real apology either. Will never come back.

We had just finished seeing a movie, and a friend suggested we go to Bella as there was an offer on the underside of the tickets, how bad could it be right?

Had not been to this branch for a year after bad experiences. The food at Bella Italia is usually very nice, and it was good. The service started off well but got worse as the restaurant got busier. We had to ask for the ordered side of chips, ketchup and a juice. The chips and drink arrived - ketchup didn’t. It is unfair on the staff and impossible to give a excellent review when staffing levels are so low. Other customers were complaining of slow service and wrong orders, so we were lucky with our experience.

First time I ate here. Very quiet, considering it was a Friday evening. Food was pleasant, waitress was friendly and attentive..probably because it was quiet? Clean

We went there for family meal and we were dissapointed. We asked to order and we waited another 5 minutes eventhough we were the only ones there. The lady who served was dressed like she was about to go for a rock party. Food was dry and too salty . The staff didn't offer drinks.mayo or ketchup. We didn't feel welcome. First things first, i need to quickly point something out. On the menu, in the pasta section, it says in the carbonara description, spaghetti with... however, when I ordered it and it came to me, it wasn't actually spaghetti, it was papardelle. I know it is quite a small issue and it isn't really an issue, but I personally think it should be fixed to either be spaghetti when it comes out of the kitchen or papardelle on the menu. It just shows you that Bella Italia don't really know what they are talking about.

Would usually have visited Wetherspoons but decided to go up market a bit! Very disappointed, my husband’s chicken was cold, admittedly he didn’t say anything at the time so didn’t give them the opportunity to correct. Other friends who also ate there that night had the same problem. Our waitress was very helpful, but won’t be rushing back!!

We’ve been to Bella Italia couple of weeks ago and it was totally disappointment. The bruschetta...well don’t try it. Then our order for main arrived but 2 out of 3 plates were not what we ordered. So one had to let good cooling down when rest waited, not so pleasant...And when they finally arrived, the carbonara, much below average, same for pizzas. To complete our experience then came the bill. They charged us not the menu price but each plate separate.

Went into Belle Italia in the Galleria Hatfield today. Our order was taken but we had to ask where our food was after 45 minutes. When our food was brought to us I’m afraid to say that it was appalling. My friends had salmon with roast potatoes and the potatoes were not cooked properly. Be rest assured that we won’t be coming back.

It is nearly a year since we last visited here. On that occasion we left after the main course to seek coffee elsewhere because a very noisy group prevented us from thinking let alone conversing! I have not let this affect my current review.

Yet another lovely lunch at bella Italia on 16.03 thumbs up to reece and all the staff for making it an enjoyable afternoon with the family even tho it was extremely busy the food was lovely as always and worth the wait if we wanted quick service we would of gone to a fast food restaurant but as always our family's first choice is bella Italia. Look forward to coming back on mother's day as we know we will be well looked after by reece and his amazing team.

We visited Bella Italia for a family lunch. We waited for 1 hour for the food to be served after having asked several times. The food was terrible: soggy pizza, dried cold fish and fries, the food was barely warm. Friendly waitress and genuinely sorry about the service we received, but that’s about it. Never again. Very disappointed.

We were hoping to have our food and leave quickly. We waited and waited and then the waitress kept telling us that our food would be ready in 5 min. Then another 5 min. Then she came and said there was a big order for a birthday party and this wasn't booked in advance. They still accepted the order even though this would have meant the customers waiting at the restaurant for a looong time. Who cared that those customers had 3 and 6 year old boys who wouldnt be able to sit still for too long? Its been an awful experience after 40 min of wait. Of course the kids started running at the restaurant cos they had enough.

Stopped by for a relaxed lunch and discovered onthis visit how much the team have taken ownership of Allergy requirements. From arrival through to food arriving at the table the front of house team and the kitchen staff showed a great awareness and willingness to recognise my wifes DF and GF intollerances and constantly wanted to ensure that the food selected was exactly as requested. Excllent- well done everyone and thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

Visited on a quiet Sunday night. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ordered the soup of the day (lentil) as a starter, which had plenty of flavour but could do with being given more bread to have it with. Pizza for a main was served hot and did not disappoint. After watching a film at the cinema we decided to use the 25 % discount which came at the back of the tickets to go to get dinner at Bella Italia. We were two adults and two children. I am Italian so I’m naturally very sceptical of Italian restaurants and sadly this restaurant has met my low expectations. Kids were happy with pizza and chicken and chips, while my husband and I were pretty disappointed. My husband had bruschetta for starter....basically chopped tomatoes on toasted bread, so we asked for some oil to put on them. Then he had lasagna for main, which was made of a few layers of pasta with some cheese sauce in between which had very little meat. It clearly was made there and then and banged in the oven for a few minutes, so pasta not covered by the sauce was pretty hard. I decided to have a low calories carrots and courgette pasta with king prawns(I saw on other people’s plates how over cooked the pasta was, so didn’t want that). There was very little courgetti but mainly carrot....edible but not tasty. I had tiramisù for dessert...rather than having cream made with mascarpone cheese...it clearly was just whipped cream in between overly soaked sponge.

After a fairly bad experience last time, I was a little wary about going here again.

If you like sitting in filthy booths that are are desperately in need of recovering, then this place is for you! Too say that this place needs an urgent refurbishment (and clean!) is an understatement. From the moment we walked in, we regretted it and it didn't get any better.... ....food was overpriced and very, very average. I've have better frozen 'value brand' pizzas. I won't mention the toilets....

Visited today and the service was appalling. Only had a bowl of pasta and was in there for nearly 2 hours. Waited 50 minutes for the food then another 40 minutes before I asked someone if it was possible to the the bill so we could leave. No apology, nobody asked how the food was - I just sat there with a restless 11 months old on my lap. Maybe I should have let her scream the place down to get some attention.

I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. Originally me and the person I was out with did not plan to visit Bella Italia, but as everywhere else was full we decided to go and give it a try. We were sat down very quickly and it was very busy. I usually enjoy Bella Italia, but this time I felt the service was very slow and the food was taking ages to be served to us. Our desserts took the longest, but the manager apologized and it was not put on our bill. Overall the food was lovely, but next time i will come earlier than 8pm on a Saturday!

We got asked to review this restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant was greeted by the bar maid who said someone would be along shortly. Waited less than a min then got seated. We done this experience through a buy a gift voucher. He wasn’t to sure about the drink that came with the offer. He soon brought the 2 glasses off fizz over. For starters we had funghi arrosto. Which is mushroom in a cheese sauce and spinach and a slice of ciabatta. This was really nice lovely with lots off flavour not to much just the right amount for a starter. For mains we had. Spaghetti polpette americano. ( meat balls in a sauce and spaghetti). The spaghetti was cooked perfect the sauce was nice but very little sauce and the meatballs were not right. Didn’t taste nice, seemed like they had a little meat and the rest was a breadcrumb to make them slightly bigger. They were smaller than a golf ball maybe a large marble size, you get 10 off these. My wife only ate 3 off them as she couldn’t stomach them. For pudding I had lemon cheese cake which was nice the lemon was strong and zesty left a nice taste but no presentation on the plate. My wife had chocolate orange brownie with gelato she said the orange was to over powering as she couldn’t taste the chocolate in the brownie. Says a warm brownie on the menu but was stone cold. Free glass off fizz was ok had another then left.

After a long wait our meals finally arrived. My husband ordered a ceasar salad.

Great food, excellent waiter, quickly seated 4 of us upon arrival, used voucher with no problem at all - starters we had mushrooms, cheese bites and soup followed by chicken breast, lasagne and 2 pizzas then finally 3 brownies and a framenti (delicious and very generous portion) and 4 glasses of Prosecco...very nice, highly recommend this place!

This place is a hidden gem. We usually don’t expect much from the galleria when we go there. But me and my partner were happy to say that Bella Italia is very good. Nice food. Good staff. Out waitress Jess is especially good. Will come back some time in the future

Jess is an amazing waitress, she provides good service with confidence and at a quick rate. Food is good too

We have sat here for dinner, but after 25 min waiting had to go as no one of the five people staff didn’t turn up to serve us. We love Pizza express, but just wanted a change. When we decide to go I have mentioned that we’ve been waiting for nearly half an hour and now we are going, cause we can’t wait any longer the only thing we’ve been told was “OK”. Shame!!! Never again

Glass of sparkling rose was flat

We used to go to Bella, Hatfield for several years but gave up after becoming increasingly disappointed with the food, service etc. Last night we went back with our lads and found it hugely improved under new management. Good food, good portions (important for teenage lads especially), good service. Well done, Bella, nice to see you on track again and nicely full on a Friday evening.

We can in today and it was super busy, staff running about and addressing people as best they could. Honestly we didn't expect much. I am happy to say I was proven wrong.

I came in very late with the family. Despite the time and our brash manor out waitress Jess made us feel very accommodated. We had a great meal and a wonderful time there. Lots of good food and drink. Will return in future.

My wife and I haven’t been back since the renovation had been finished. Have to say it’s a very nice atmosphere and my waitress Jess was lovely. Pleasant meal and atmosphere

Food was good. Service was great had a lovely waitress Jess made this easy for me. Great experience yesterday will come back again
