Pret does a subscription scheme and a great range of fresh food 🥑. Love it here 😍

It's OK now. If you sit in go upstairs for 1st floor views to the Piccadilly Arcade.

I loves it. Yes it's cheaper elsewhere. But I wouldn't be leaving a review for else where. I love all the soups and most of the dishes

You can enjoy a sandwich or a coffee

Wanted a quick bite to eat so opted for Pret. Annoyingly, there were no vegetarian options on white baguettes or white bread sandwiches - the few veggie baguettes/sandwiches they did provide were on malted/seeded bread which I can’t eat. Mac & cheese offering is ruined by the additions of kale and cauliflower (yuck x2!) My Mum had a baguette, which she said tasted nice. However it was not worth the price charged. Cheese twist pastry tasted good.

The shop is a bit tired, toilet smelly. In the sugar / cutlery area on the 1st floor there is some sort of flies infestation which I keep hoping will go away. This morning the back ground music was extremely loud ☹ . Even the pret subscription is an economy way to get my morning coffee fix but I think I will go back to Starbucks after the subscription expired.

Popped in this morning for some coffee and breakfast. It's a small store, so it's not loads to choose from, but the pastries were fresh and yoghurt pots tasty. Lots of seating upstairs, code for the toilet on the receipt. We enjoyed people watching out of the window.

I absolutely love Pret a Manger! The variety of their menu is amazing and always leaves me spoiled for choice. The food is fresh, delicious, and made with high-quality ingredients. I appreciate that they have vegan and vegetarian options, which is great for someone like me who has dietary preferences. The staff is also incredibly friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere in their stores is always inviting and comfortable. Pret a Manger never fails to provide a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

Busy, under stocked and generally a bit dirty. I know it must be difficult as the station is always busy, but this place is doing itself no favours. Tills are understaffed - ridiculous when customers want to grab, pay and run - and no-one seems to clear and clean.

Let me explain - I am writing my experience in this shop around a year ago, where I received an extremely rude service from an Eastern Asian girl with glasses that I will never forget. It was an early morning; I wanted to get a black Americano (to take away) on my way to work. I noticed this lady with glasses was very moody the moment I walked in, however; I thought let's just don't judge and be cool about it. So I was careful and polite to her while I ordered. Only to find out that she turned around, threw an icy-cold espresso that's been sitting on side for god-knows how long, and put a lid on my cup, gave it a heavy tap on the table and pushed it towards my direction, and said "there you go!" I was stunned by what just happened; there was another lady (probably her colleague, or her manager?) walked by, and I was so tempted to show her what happened and was it even allowed that a staff treated a customer that way. But I was running out of time and there were people queuing behind me, didn't really want to delay everybody. That coffee was horrendous, I threw it in a bin later. I am leaving this review as I also saw some similar comments about the same staff. And same as them, I never went back there since that time because of the service we received.

Delicious breakfast, especially freshly made hot pastries. They have so many nice options for breakfast and lunch, but portions are small and pricey.

Food and service was as expected. The 1 star is for the state of the bathroom. Dirty, smelly and in dire need of a clean and refurb.

Some mornings, I pop in to this branch and get my mocha. It is freshly made and the service is swift. I'd like to say a big thank you to all the staff here because they are really kind and just brighten my day up with their positive attitude and smiles 😊

it was really humid upstairs which made it a bit uncomfortable, but the staff and the food were great :)

Low levels of stock - a bit disappointing although what I bought was perfectly nice enough.

The food is delicious! I had the hummus & salad. I'd only make one suggestion however. They need a lift, I found it difficult to struggle up the stairs with a plate of food, a drink, & my umbrella. I have mobility problems. Also a wheelchair user would not have been able to get up at all. Thanx!

Not the best. Bread was rock hard with only a photo of butter and a mere hologram of mustard. Gherkins were OK.

Prêt-a-manger is a walk-in café located in Birmingham New Street station and belongs to the Prêt-a-manger chain. It is popular with commuters, by-passers and train travellers. The café offers coffee & tea, packed sandwiches and pastries. Service is efficient and not friendly. Changing trains in Birmingham we noted the café and went for a take-away cappuccino and a tuna sandwich. We were expecting quick coffee, but not a terrible cappuccino. What a disappointed. The sandwich was eatable. The cappuccino was for threw away after one sip. The café has an Italian coffee machine. Prêt-a-manger is adapted to English coffee drinkers. As a result the staff are consequently ruining a coffee. When you fancy the worst cappuccino in the world, Prêt-a-manger is the place for you. Better stay away.

This place used to be a good for lunch the food is good, but now with the music it is not relaxing, I hope someone enjoys the music!

Tasty bacon and egg bap plus coffee. Upstairs seating is pleasant. Friendly staff. Prices ok for city.

The shop looks nice, staffs are okie EXCEPT one (East Asian looking lady, wearing glasses). She is always unfriendly and acted hostile to us. The drink she made was never well mixed, too. At first, we tried to give her a benefit of the doubt for her friendliness as she might be under stress. But after the 3rd time today, we will never go back there anymore. We order iced drinks, and they did not give us a straw (picture), when we tried to ask her for a straw, she ignored us at first and then responded us in the second time with a rude attitude, saying they did not have straws without saying sorry or something. Terrible customer service experience we got from her and mind you this has been the 3rd time we have felt unsatisfied with her service. From now, all the Prets we go, always go for one in Selfridges or in New Street station. They have way better people there. And now, how can we be supposed to drink this iced coffee on the train without a straw? Ridiculous.

The breakfast and the staff was great, but the air conditioning on when it's cold outside ruined everything. It wasn't nice at all to be with the air conditioning coming at you while you eat. 😔😔

went to the pret shop in the centre on grand central in Birmingham on the 13th April at about 5pm me and my friend both have subscriptions , her phone died so before hand she sent her QR code to me when we went to order separately but using the same phone we were told this wasn't allowed , I asked to speak to the manager and was told no then the worker proceeded to be rude and said "if you read the terms and conditions you would know" as I left the shop she continued to shout at me because I said I had never heard of that rule before . My partner went into the shop after and she said to him that she was going to go out the shop to fight me . She seems to be new in the shop as I haven't seen her before , she is a black female in her twenties . as I left the manager in the shop said bye mockingly and refused to serve my partner who works at pret and remained calm amd was not there for the first altercation. I often use that pret when traveling and its a shame the worker felt the need to threat violence

Incredibly long wait for drinks, even though the shop wasn't busy at all. To top it up absolutely dismissive reaction, when questioned about the wait. 14 minutes for smoothie? Go to one to New street station instead.

Came with a couple friends and when it was my turn to pay my card declined. When I asked a friend to pay he said it was on the house! Great kindness, good coffee too

Love the tasty hot drinks. This is genuine. I don’t even use sugar! Also like the wraps. They are fresh, healthy and so tasty.

I had cappuccino and brownies here before heading back home visiting Birmingham. The seating arrangement was great. Plenty tables and chairs. They have ground and first floor seating areas. Staff are friendly.

Perhaps the worst Pret branch in city centre. Expect simple coffee orders to be forgotten as you wait while others with more complicated drink orders, who ordered much later than you, get immediately served. Thankfully, there are many other more Pret branches in the vicinity, should you not wish to partake in this woeful disorganised 'service'.

Nice place for having breakfast with delicious coffee but some cleaning items need to improve theirs. They just serve food or coffee without checking the plate

Lovely lunch experience, with tasty food and efficient service.

I bought 1 popcorn bar hot Chocolate and 1 love bar latte. It cost me over 6 pound and when I checked they both didn't have the cream as shown on the display boards. I went back and asked the reason for this. The lady who I asked had to check with her colleague who told me they didn't have any, they had run out. As there were customers there I didn't want to make a scene but they should have told us upfront so we could have decided to have it or not. I only chose the drinks as they looked really nice on the board. I basically got ripped off. I will not buy drinks from Pret again. Horrible customer service.

My daughter, friends and I had a lovely lunch in New Street Pret. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon sandwich and the gingerbread latte.

Soggy bread and wet packaging…. Used to love pret once upon a time. Next time I will make my own or pop in to M&S I think. Staff are rude and careless. No wonder Pret you are going downhill…..

Such a shame this Pret hasn't updated its policies. Tables rarely get cleaned and I've reported this to them twice in the last 10 months. Used to be my daily habit.

Nice place with tasty coffee,you can relax on central road near Piccadilly,feel morning and eat something healthy. Here you can find porridge 🥣 and nice sandwiches 🥪.Clean and positive,good stuff with smile on their face.

A nice branch of Pret, the latest in Birmingham city centre. There is plenty of seating as this goes well beyond the counter to the back and side of the store.

One of my favourite coffee shop but I was really surprised that there is a restricted toilet services. This shouldn't be very inhumane....please revise your policy..

Unfriendly staff and they don't put milk in my cappacino. Noisy and not a good place for coffee drink.

Majority of seats are upstairs as are the toilets and I didn't see a lift.

Quick,easy, simple Lunch places

I have been a regular for my lunch at this particular branch for the last 2.5 years. After being away for a few months I came back and walked in to enjoy my lunch as per usual. The ambiance had changed. Cold and unfriendly.. Nearly all the staff had changed. The warm smile of the young black man was not there to great me warmly and nor were any of the woman whom I had been familiar with.. I ask my server and he denied any change!!!!! They served me a COLD tea...and when I returned it they simply suggested that there is something wrong with machine..the manger returned NY mo ey and when I asked him about the change of staff he became ride and aggressive. I have been enjoying this branch for 2.5 years. You lost one good customer..

Live Pret. Lovely fresh food and delicious coffee. Had to try to two outlets to get the veggie Mac n cheese with kale, but so worth it. Always clean and friendly staff

Expensive salad with hard avocado, spinach with thick stems, very peppery, not my favourite ever salad! The LARGE price marked on the shelves is the take out price, MUCH more expensive to eat in! Off hand "service"! Goodbye Pret!

The food here is top quality fresh products and would highly recommend this place for a spot of breakfast or lunch.

One star for handling customers at till and definitely not for the food. Today evening, had asked the customer assistant about the no of active counters for billing and he replied (seeing somewhere else)only one counter is working today. I went back and within seconds, another counter was opened. He is avoiding me to see face to face and skipping me in till. Said good bye to the pret and rushed to the platform.

Ok. Some nice options. Service felt rushed but I enjoyed my açai bircher bowl with a salmon sandwich.

The salads here are nice and fresh and with interesting varieties. Expect to pay around £5-8 each. Some of the cakes were out of stock at 13:30. A 'large' coffee is only as big here as a Medium at the bigger name places.

Very friendly staff at this Pret - go above and beyond to help them.

Just make sure you check that the lid on the coffee is aligned correctly. On several occasions, the baristas have aligned the drinking hole with the seam, resulting in coffee leaking from the cup and spilling down my nice white shirt. Basic stuff, really, but it appears not to have made it into the coffee-making curriculum in Pret’s barista training programme.

Nice place but it is too noisy comparison to the size from inside

First time I've been here and it was a nice experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only trouble is is that the seating is mainly upstairs with hardly an area downstairs

Decided to have coffee at pret a manger for a change and we enjoyed it. Plenty of seating upstairs with veiws over the shops below. Plenty of customers doing there own thing, reading, working, talking, homework and even photography. Just be careful carrying hot drinks and food to your table.
