Preston Brook Beefeater in Halton

Great for a hearty feed at respectable prices. I would recommend booking which is easily done online. Plenty of parking, quick service, good menu.

Ordered the food for adults and kids. Website doesn't have kids allergy list altho does have adults different menu, so had to ring and enquiry about allergens. Not only it took a while to get the food, but kids meal was missing one of the sides. Asked about it, was reassured it will be brought in a minute, but never arrived. The meat was spicy, kids meal was smaller than we expected, opping chicked had around 7 tiny chicken pops, mayo and kechup was provided in a tiny very inconvenient packs. This was our first, and, unfortunately, the last visit.

We visited here for food last month while we stayed at the Premier Inn. Service was quick. The staff were absolutely lovely. We arrived 5 minutes before the specials ended but were told it was ok to still order them. Food was ok for what we paid.

Called here for a breakfast from an online booking. Food was great, table was ready, friendly service so what's not to like?

We were a party of family, fathers day get together. We had to ask for someone to take our order. Some Items on the menu not available, some not told until 5 mins after the orders went in. Very slow service, some wrong items brought out. Tables left with dirty crocs on. Service left alot to be desired. On the plus side, the food was lovely as usual. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to merit a return visit. Shame. We liked it in there

Ordered a mixed grill, medium steak. Got medium rare, so iether can't cook or didn't listen. Was listed to come with onion rings came with an onion ring, singular. Ran out of colors, only had one type/,flavour bottled cider, when questioned as to whether they were closing down was told no, it was fathers day weekend snd we are running out of everything, maybe reduce your prices to reflect the ammendments on the menu??? Ironically got charged wrong lymm fir extra onion rings. Poor service too, seeing as there were equal amount of staff to customers at the time, very quiet but still had to go get drinks from the bar as throat was dry waiting for someone to show an interest

Just had a Fathers Day breakfast. The staff do an amazing job!! Very busy, but never too busy to be friendly!! Great start to any day!! Top marks!!

Toasters extremely slow. Severe people congestion in toaster / hot drinks area. Soya milk quarter full carton soya milk curdled / thick probably "off" understaffed and staff arriving for work too late when big ques waiting to get in

Very nice food, bed and breakfast in the morning isn't a buffet though, you have to order but you can have what you want in terms of breakfast items, nice though!

10:15 and popped in for breakfast, to be told we finished serving breakfast at 10:30. My partner said it's not 10:30 yet only to be told we need the time to move the tables etc etc...... So we left, and will never go back. This is the third time we've attempted to eat here, and the last. Try Perky Grinders round the corner near Aldi. The place was busy when we arrived and the welcome was fantastic.

Excellent place to have a meal, the staff were exceptional, they couldn't do anything more to accommodate us and make our dining experience wonderful, overall, brilliant!!!👍🤓

Excellent service from all hard working staff. Even with the few staff rushed off their feet I was served and treated very well and my food came out delicious amazing in about 15mins of ordering despite the few staff on duty being flat out. This is one of the few best Beef eater restaurants I been to, and I go to a lot around the country.

Nice family dining which always welcomes and tries to make it a good experience. Food is standard across beefeater so you always get the same standard.

Avoid avoid avoid. Probably the worst Beefeater I’ve been in. Had to wait for just under an hour to place my order. Then steak arrived overcooked, and not very presentable for the price. Also rude staff.

Still great - and the coffee is even better than before! On our latest visit, a minor problem was solved ('above & beyond'). Thank you 😊

Wouldn't bother going again, the manager is not very nice person, not sure his own staff have any respect or even like him! It wasnt really busy not many people in ther an food was luke warm then got bk think it was warmed up in microwave lol, staff didnt look like they were very happy not surprised tho having to work under horrible manager like him!

Staff were friendly however, the time taken for our food to arrive was poor and then my children's desserts had been forgotten about. Was offered a free drink to compensate for the slow service however, we were placed next to a large party who were quite noisy. At breakfast we were left waiting with other families for far too long before being seated so, overall it was a very dissapointing experience.

Wouldn't like to see it too busy. It looked like they were running on minimal staff. Tables that had been left but still had plates on.

We came a year ago on Mothers day and the food was really good for the price. We had no complaints so we decided to come back this year...again for Mothers day. What a difference a year makes! Today was not a good experience whatsoever. Ordered half roast chicken dinner and wondered why i was struggling to cut through the breast part. When i finally managed to hack a bit of it off, it was ice cold throughout which tells me it was likely to have still been partly frozen...hence why i couldnt get a knife through it. It looked like it hadnt been anywhere near an oven, had anaemic skin and was not crispy at all. Waitress was mortified and took it away. Arranged for an alternative meal which again was sent back as was lacking roast potatoes. Food was definitely not up to scratch today. Other items missed off other meals on our table and we had to ask for Roast Potatoes. I know it was busy but that is no excuse for sending below par food out to paying customers. We did get money knocked off the bill but if i had my way, we wouldnt have paid for any of it. Won't be re-visiting again. Such a shame to come away feeling so dissatisfied.

Used a lot of Beefeaters that are attached to a Premier Inn and this is the worst we have visited. Food all over the floor, dried up breakfast that you order, so assume it would be freshly cooked (?) Pastry items not replenished. Staff seemed just really unhappy to be there. And children running all over the place. Its great that families go out to eat together, but its a restaurant, not a playground. Obviously that responsibility falls on the parents, but staff could politely ask parents to keep their children under control. Saw a few near misses of people carrying hot food and drinks and kids hurtling about and crashing into them. Methinks a lawsuit would ensue should a child get scalded.

I’ve stayed in 4 different premier inns this week, this restaurant is simply the worst. The staff are very rude, I booked a table for dinner and was told I didn’t, the hotel booked my table on my behalf but staff insisted I didn’t have a reservation. I requested takeaway, as I was leaving, was told I did have a reservation but they have no tables. I then went for breakfast, the same person served me, but refused to take my breakfast order until everyone seated after me was looked after. This place really needs some help. They really let the hotel down.

We thought it was buffet breakfast on a Sunday :( 😞,, couldn't get the toaster to work, only one coffee machine ( ridiculous) the staff were pleasant and doing there best but clearly understaffed, food was hot, but not fantastic,,

Don't bother I've eaten here a few times and it's always been OK. But not last night booked a table for valentines night when we arrived they had made a effort in the area they greet you in with a bit of a valentines theme then it ended taken to a table that was not a table it was just sat in a passage pushed against a wall with chairs that you could not sit on as they were to small or at 6ft 3 I was to big for . Before we even sat down I as if we could change to a different table told we couldn't as they were fully booked at which point the person serving us waked away so I swaped the chairs for a nearby empty table when the staff member returned again I asked to change table and also asked for the local radio station to be turned off as it was to loud which they did but again I was told we couldn't move as the were fully booked evn though we had walked past empty tables which we set for two people and were surrounded by empty tables so it was a choice of take it or leave it as they were not prepared to move us so we left and will not book again . Its strange how these places seem to have forgotten that not long ago the were crying out for people to go to restaurant's to spend money to keep their business afloat all that seems to have been forgotten.

We had a mixed grill,turf and surf and a burger meal with drinks ... All meals were hot not warm cooked the way we asked. Top food top service and a very good atmosphere. If we eat out we always go to the Preston brook pub.

Fantastic i go all over to beef eaters stopping in premier in’s best one on the country breakfast are cooked perfectly and tea choice and lovely very kind and friendly staff thank you see you again !

Went for a team breakfast, food was great.

After being stuck on the motorway for sometime it was a relief to be able to use the bathroom! They were so kind and let us use the facilities! Top notch service from them. Toilet were nice and clean! Many thanks

Quiet meal for myself and my daughter, mid to late afternoon visit. Staff were attentive and provided extensive information regarding allergies. Lovely meals. Refillable soft drinks available too.

Approximately seven tables occupied when I arrived, I waited 20 minutes for my starter (which was very nice) a further 25 minutes for the main! Which was cold!!! By now, there's only about five tables!! Think about it!!

Just finished a beef Sunday. Worth every penny, the best we have locally in a long time. Hot, tasty and plenty of meat and vegetables . 5 different types of vegetables. Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommend

I’ve been visiting with my mum as she works around the corner and we will likely become regulars having visited a few times in the last couple of months. It’s alway great when Caren is on and she has always been warm and welcoming. There is another female staff member that has always been pleasant also. Was signed up for a beefeater card to earn points and will also take advantage of the free birthday meal when it comes around. My mum tends to get the fish and chips, which are a decent size and the food has been spot on. Good place to visit, good menu, good service. Special thanks to Caren.

5 stars for the food, was the all you can eat breakfast, service was fantastic and I gave 3 stars for atmosphere simply because it was early morning and the place was full of breakfast diners. Over all, a great place for an all you can eat breakfast I would definitely recommend and will be visiting the place again for sure.

Been coming here for years now, hands down the best breakfast in the area. Lovely staff, great prices and a comfortable, warm atmosphere.

Had an evening meal here then breakfast the next morning.Food was lovely.Thursday morning for breakfast there was only one member of staff and a very busy restaurant.The guy did his absolute best to be friendly, polite and helpful, he was rushed off his feet.The cooked breakfast was lovely and well presented,also lots of pastries, cereals,yogurt and juices.

This has to be the best Beefeater I have ever been in. The food was fresh and well cooked. Plenty to choose from to.

Went for Christmas dinner and it was bloody disgusting my friend paid a lot of money for this we both think it was all frozen food the roast potatoes were so soggy like the veg no taste in the food the gravy was like water I would not recommend this to anybody I was really looking forward to this we both left disappointed never again would I go there

I went during my lunch hour. An hour is not enough for them to serve you your food never mind eat it. Unbelievably painfully slow. Spent £14 and had to leave most of it as I had to get back to work. As I work yards from here I would have been a regular. But I cannot risk it with how slow they are

Met family for afternoon meal. Couldn't have asked for better service. Booked table in advance ' then got email for 25% off mains meals. Food was very good as well.

My food was ok, but friends starter of breaded mushrooms were over cooked. The member of staff did offer to replace them, but as we had almost finished ours she wanted her main and the starter was knocked off the bill.

Came here on Friday for breakfast, never been before. The lady Dawn asked had i been before. She explained how things worked and showed me the continental buffet. There was so much choice. I ordered a full english and it was the best breakfast i had eaten in a long time. She sid she would pass on compliments to the chef. Dawn even told me to have a nice day. I will definalty be returning and tell people what great service and a great breakfast i had.

Nice atmosphere and staff. But the vegan burger was one of the worst I've ever had. Also quite expensive. When vegan burgers are stored in the freezer and then defrosted they can get a kind of freezer burn which basically makes them inedible. I really suggest the staff try their food, learn to store it and cook it properly, and then try it again to taste the difference. The chips were ok.

Waited about 20 mins to get served for breakfast. Didn’t get served so walked out and went to Toby in hoole. Much better staff and atmosphere.

Lovely helpful staff, very friendly. Food not great unfortunately. We had the festive turkey roast and all the veg was burned and hard, the Yorkshire was inedible and hardly any meat. Pudding was nice though.

Ate here the other night with my girlfriend, I had never been here before. I was stuck for choice and could not decide what I wanted, the waitress came over and I asked for another 5 minutes which she did not seem happy about. The staff seemed like they did not want to be there atall. Anyway, we ordered our food and what came I was appalled at, firstly I had swapped my grilled tomato to peas, this didn't come so they took my plate back and changed it, which then made some of the food cold and where they had rushed doing the peas they were still very hard so I didn't eat them anyway. My girlfriend had grilled veg which was supposed to have a bbq glaze which quite clearly never. My meat, well let's just say there wasn't any meat it was all gristle which I was really disappointed about. We went quite late at night so it was quiet and a nice atmosphere for us apart from the waitresses. I spent £50 to have hard peas, no meat on the steak and to feel like a burden to waitresses, definitely won't be coming back.

Staff very nice and basic food cooked nicely thats were the good comments end .the seats were absolutely filthy with black spots throughout.despite there not being many people in we waited well over an hour for food.nobody asked how was your food or would you like another drink would you like dessert and the prices for food are premium.premium prices for basic food.ill give this place a miss in future

Booked a table in advance and visited today with family. Plenty of free car parking and easy to find. The staff are friendly and attentive and made sure we were well looked after. I ordered the lasagne from the lunch time menu which was delicious. Would recommend.

Turned up for meal but queue to enter as no staff at the greeting poin to greet customers. Waited 5 mins still no staff either at greeting point of behind the bar so just left and went elsewhere

We went there at 3pm Sunday and they allready ran out with beef and chicken- only lamb left. How can any restaurant run out with meat on Sunday before even 4pm??????
