the service was shocking the food was poor quality 45 min delay from the starter give it a miss

Bit grubby. No real ales. No fire going on a snowy winters day. Probably ok for breakfast as next door is a Premier Inn. Certainly not a destination pub.

Food absolutely disgusting. Here for my birthday 6th Jan. Had a chicken flatbread. The chicken was a piece of chicken that was cooked from frozen. Wasnt cooked enough. So poor.!!

We went before visiting the lights st Chester Zoo. Booked our table for 5pm, we were seated straight away, and the server was great. The menu was a bit rubbish as a lot wasn't available. It was very empty, so there was no atmosphere other than the football score being shouted out across the bar. Hubby said that the steak was excellent !

Has our family Christmas day dinner here, it was superb food, great service and staff were always on hand, staff had a busy day but delivered an unbelievable service

I went here for christmas day with 3 elderly. We were waiting in a queue for 45 minutes/1 hour, after having a table reserved for 3.30pm. We were then sat at our table and waited another hour for our starter to arrive. Attached is the image of the starter I received. There was no one at the bar numerous times I went up to get drinks, (as no staff going around asking for drinks), and the food was warm/luke warm and clearly a meal from frozen. On Christmas Day, this was an unacceptable amount of time to wait for a table and then food that we had paid for. I did not eat my main course for the turkey was shaped like rectangles like a kids lunch box meal, the veg was dry and the potatoes were frozen preprepared potatoes (aunt bessies vibes). The only positive was the yorkshire pudding, which was home made and delicious, and the only part I ate completely. I would not suggest going here for Christmas day as for £75 a head, this was disgraceful.

I took my family and my client here for Christmas day meal and we paid for a fantastic 3 course meal which it was a soup starter, turkey Christmas dinner, and for dessert a lovely fruit Crumble and custard mmm it was fantastic, as my client was overjoyed as they would have had Christmas dinner on their own. The staff at Preston Brook Beefeater were absolutely amazing and always happy to help, thank you to staff at Preston Brook Beefeater.

Arrived at 10:30 and asked for a table for two Staff member informed us the breakfast sitting was closed When I queried this because website says open until 11am he then said there were no tables free Saw at least 4 free tables Piss poor attitude and from a manager too Guess they employ anyone these days

Unfortunately, I had a miserable experience hear, the staff were clearly not focused on there job and were constantly talking to each other. waited 40 min for someone to actually serve my table and was then met with a teenager like bad attitude. the food was below par and quite frankly could have got a ready meal quicker and would taste nicer. I'm confused about the reviews on hear as this was definitely one to miss.... Be warned, this place is crap....

Been here three times. First two no problems. Third time, waited over 45 minutes to be served. Then when the food came the order was wrong. When we mentioned that it wasn't what we ordered, we were met with a comment from the obtuse waitress as she walked off. " I'll take this back if you think this isn't what you ordered!" When confronted about this statement she denied saying it. Stay away!!

Free mixer with spirts! No they charge you for it and tell you it not available in that branch. Charged extra for wrong drink but did get refunded the difference but never got money back for mixers even though it states FREE on menu. Very poor show!

So went last night for tea 20/11/2024. Young Bar staff miserable and a bit rude. Waited for a very long time for food. New menu was bad nothing of interest on it. Turkey roast was the worst I have ever had. The manager was friendly and gave me a refund. Trust me it not the place to go. The couple next to me left most of there food but did not say anything. If you don't tell them they cant fix it. Wont be going again for a while.

We booked a table for two we waited 16 mins for drinks to arrive and 50 minutes for food by which time we no longer had time for our 2 course festive deal so we just had one course and they basically charged us the same price as if we had enjoyed our 2 x black forest gateau. We will not return everyone around us was unhappy with their wait and service which equals a bad atmosphere we worried we got our meak before tge table who had waited longer we wint return because of this, shame as food nice.

Small portion of chips but tasted fine. The staff were wonderful.

Admittedly they were busy but I ordered a meal from the bar, after it didn’t arrive I asked about it to be told it’ll be around 3 minutes, 10 minutes later still hadn’t arrived so it was off to Burger King

Staff here are great very welcoming, we come for breakfast on a Saturday. The 3 ladies on duty always make us feel welcomed. Food served hot and to order not a typical self serve buffet breakfast. Hats off to all the staff at breakfast. We enjoy coming here.

Got to say amazing not bin in like 10 years but decided to go with family we booked for 4 o'clock was top quality got so much for the money great staff I would definitely recommend for people to go 100% we all had starter with mains and pudding with 3 to 4 drinks each at around 30 per person

Stopped of here for lunch before heading to Creamfields. Good food, slow service, and understaffed. Got our drinks order wrong twice. Make sure you enter your car reg, or you'll be fined (apparently, it's a new thing at this Beefeater).

Steak was decent and well cooked. Appreciate not being charged for a glass of soda water as some places do.

Arrived at 6pm. because we had a 5yr old with us who needed to eat & get her home to bed but wanted to be there for her Nana's birthday. Food arrived 7.15pm. Staff fine but service incredibly slow. Food fairly basic. We had steak & chips. Steak OK but have had a lot better. Waited again for desserts. Finally left at 8.30pm. It was a convenient place to bring several families together to eat, but I wouldn't rush to go there again.

Just had a drink but it looked like a nice place. Seemed popular. Like all pub/restaurant chains it does what it does. Not sure how the standard is here though.

Lovely evening with great food and fantastic service

Starter was truly dreadful, supposed to be loaded potatoe skins, was in fact, a few cold chips with a bit of cheese on top. Sent them back to the kitchen. Mains were much better,mixed grill was really tasty, pie was nice, food was hot and tasty Staff were very pleasant 😊

I’m not usually one to write negative reviews, but I was really taken aback by such poor customer service at this site. I use Premier Inns and Whitbread restaurants wherever I travel to, and this is the first time I have ever been turned away from a restaurant, well within serving times, because of “staffing”. On this occasion, I had been glamping nearby to this site with friends, and each time we go, we always go to Preston Brook for breakfast. We had tried to book online for breakfast but the website wasn’t taking any bookings from today (Friday) until Monday, so we turned up in person. We arrived at bang on 10.15. The lady serving (blonde hair, wearing her own shirt, not uniform, so I assume a manager or team leader) asked for our hotel booking so she could seat us. I explained we hadn’t booked via the hotel, and she responded that she’d have to turn us away. I asked why, and she said we stop serving at 10.30. I explained it was 10.15 at this point, and she said last sitting is 10.15 - which it was. She then found another excuse and said that the chefs did not have enough food left at this point so couldn’t sit us - I wondered at this point how they’d have fed us when she was prepared to sit us down when she thought we’d come from the hotel as she was happy to sit us as a hotel guest. She then also said that they were not accepting walk-in guests because it’s school holidays and they are low staffed so do not have capacity to serve us. Again, I’m not sure where she’d have magicked staff from for us if we’d been a hotel guest. It was frustrating that there was excuse, upon excuse, which contradicted each other. It felt like they just did not want to permit us entry. Whitbread sites are closing down left, right and centre, and it’s no surprise to see why when they’re turning paying customers away during opening times. If some sites have taken the decision to only serve hotel guests, this needs to be better publicised, with a notification on the website when trying to book a table, and with a note on the door saying walk-in customers are not welcome.

loved this breakfast came from the premier inn for breakfast. Had a wide range of vegetarian options and the ladies that served us where absolutely lovely ! Great service

Great for a hearty feed at respectable prices. I would recommend booking which is easily done online. Plenty of parking, quick service, good menu.

Ordered the food for adults and kids. Website doesn't have kids allergy list altho does have adults different menu, so had to ring and enquiry about allergens. Not only it took a while to get the food, but kids meal was missing one of the sides. Asked about it, was reassured it will be brought in a minute, but never arrived. The meat was spicy, kids meal was smaller than we expected, opping chicked had around 7 tiny chicken pops, mayo and kechup was provided in a tiny very inconvenient packs. This was our first, and, unfortunately, the last visit.

We visited here for food last month while we stayed at the Premier Inn. Service was quick. The staff were absolutely lovely. We arrived 5 minutes before the specials ended but were told it was ok to still order them. Food was ok for what we paid.

Called here for a breakfast from an online booking. Food was great, table was ready, friendly service so what's not to like?

We were a party of family, fathers day get together. We had to ask for someone to take our order. Some Items on the menu not available, some not told until 5 mins after the orders went in. Very slow service, some wrong items brought out. Tables left with dirty crocs on. Service left alot to be desired. On the plus side, the food was lovely as usual. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to merit a return visit. Shame. We liked it in there

Ordered a mixed grill, medium steak. Got medium rare, so iether can't cook or didn't listen. Was listed to come with onion rings came with an onion ring, singular. Ran out of colors, only had one type/,flavour bottled cider, when questioned as to whether they were closing down was told no, it was fathers day weekend snd we are running out of everything, maybe reduce your prices to reflect the ammendments on the menu??? Ironically got charged wrong lymm fir extra onion rings. Poor service too, seeing as there were equal amount of staff to customers at the time, very quiet but still had to go get drinks from the bar as throat was dry waiting for someone to show an interest

Just had a Fathers Day breakfast. The staff do an amazing job!! Very busy, but never too busy to be friendly!! Great start to any day!! Top marks!!

Toasters extremely slow. Severe people congestion in toaster / hot drinks area. Soya milk quarter full carton soya milk curdled / thick probably "off" understaffed and staff arriving for work too late when big ques waiting to get in

10:15 and popped in for breakfast, to be told we finished serving breakfast at 10:30. My partner said it's not 10:30 yet only to be told we need the time to move the tables etc etc...... So we left, and will never go back. This is the third time we've attempted to eat here, and the last. Try Perky Grinders round the corner near Aldi. The place was busy when we arrived and the welcome was fantastic.

Excellent place to have a meal, the staff were exceptional, they couldn't do anything more to accommodate us and make our dining experience wonderful, overall, brilliant!!!👍🤓

Excellent service from all hard working staff. Even with the few staff rushed off their feet I was served and treated very well and my food came out delicious amazing in about 15mins of ordering despite the few staff on duty being flat out. This is one of the few best Beef eater restaurants I been to, and I go to a lot around the country.

Avoid avoid avoid. Probably the worst Beefeater I’ve been in. Had to wait for just under an hour to place my order. Then steak arrived overcooked, and not very presentable for the price. Also rude staff.

Wouldn't bother going again, the manager is not very nice person, not sure his own staff have any respect or even like him! It wasnt really busy not many people in ther an food was luke warm then got bk think it was warmed up in microwave lol, staff didnt look like they were very happy not surprised tho having to work under horrible manager like him!

Staff were friendly however, the time taken for our food to arrive was poor and then my children's desserts had been forgotten about. Was offered a free drink to compensate for the slow service however, we were placed next to a large party who were quite noisy. At breakfast we were left waiting with other families for far too long before being seated so, overall it was a very dissapointing experience.

Wouldn't like to see it too busy. It looked like they were running on minimal staff. Tables that had been left but still had plates on.

Mothers day, appalled at wait for food, over 1 hrs, unapolegic staff, food middling at best. Staff need to polite and smile a bit more.

We came a year ago on Mothers day and the food was really good for the price. We had no complaints so we decided to come back this year...again for Mothers day. What a difference a year makes! Today was not a good experience whatsoever. Ordered half roast chicken dinner and wondered why i was struggling to cut through the breast part. When i finally managed to hack a bit of it off, it was ice cold throughout which tells me it was likely to have still been partly frozen...hence why i couldnt get a knife through it. It looked like it hadnt been anywhere near an oven, had anaemic skin and was not crispy at all. Waitress was mortified and took it away. Arranged for an alternative meal which again was sent back as was lacking roast potatoes. Food was definitely not up to scratch today. Other items missed off other meals on our table and we had to ask for Roast Potatoes. I know it was busy but that is no excuse for sending below par food out to paying customers. We did get money knocked off the bill but if i had my way, we wouldnt have paid for any of it. Won't be re-visiting again. Such a shame to come away feeling so dissatisfied.

Used a lot of Beefeaters that are attached to a Premier Inn and this is the worst we have visited. Food all over the floor, dried up breakfast that you order, so assume it would be freshly cooked (?) Pastry items not replenished. Staff seemed just really unhappy to be there. And children running all over the place. Its great that families go out to eat together, but its a restaurant, not a playground. Obviously that responsibility falls on the parents, but staff could politely ask parents to keep their children under control. Saw a few near misses of people carrying hot food and drinks and kids hurtling about and crashing into them. Methinks a lawsuit would ensue should a child get scalded.

I’ve stayed in 4 different premier inns this week, this restaurant is simply the worst. The staff are very rude, I booked a table for dinner and was told I didn’t, the hotel booked my table on my behalf but staff insisted I didn’t have a reservation. I requested takeaway, as I was leaving, was told I did have a reservation but they have no tables. I then went for breakfast, the same person served me, but refused to take my breakfast order until everyone seated after me was looked after. This place really needs some help. They really let the hotel down.

We thought it was buffet breakfast on a Sunday :( 😞,, couldn't get the toaster to work, only one coffee machine ( ridiculous) the staff were pleasant and doing there best but clearly understaffed, food was hot, but not fantastic,,

Don't bother I've eaten here a few times and it's always been OK. But not last night booked a table for valentines night when we arrived they had made a effort in the area they greet you in with a bit of a valentines theme then it ended taken to a table that was not a table it was just sat in a passage pushed against a wall with chairs that you could not sit on as they were to small or at 6ft 3 I was to big for . Before we even sat down I as if we could change to a different table told we couldn't as they were fully booked at which point the person serving us waked away so I swaped the chairs for a nearby empty table when the staff member returned again I asked to change table and also asked for the local radio station to be turned off as it was to loud which they did but again I was told we couldn't move as the were fully booked evn though we had walked past empty tables which we set for two people and were surrounded by empty tables so it was a choice of take it or leave it as they were not prepared to move us so we left and will not book again . Its strange how these places seem to have forgotten that not long ago the were crying out for people to go to restaurant's to spend money to keep their business afloat all that seems to have been forgotten.

We had a mixed grill,turf and surf and a burger meal with drinks ... All meals were hot not warm cooked the way we asked. Top food top service and a very good atmosphere. If we eat out we always go to the Preston brook pub.

Fantastic i go all over to beef eaters stopping in premier in’s best one on the country breakfast are cooked perfectly and tea choice and lovely very kind and friendly staff thank you see you again !

Went for a team breakfast, food was great.

After being stuck on the motorway for sometime it was a relief to be able to use the bathroom! They were so kind and let us use the facilities! Top notch service from them. Toilet were nice and clean! Many thanks

Quiet meal for myself and my daughter, mid to late afternoon visit. Staff were attentive and provided extensive information regarding allergies. Lovely meals. Refillable soft drinks available too.

Approximately seven tables occupied when I arrived, I waited 20 minutes for my starter (which was very nice) a further 25 minutes for the main! Which was cold!!! By now, there's only about five tables!! Think about it!!
