Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed comfy. Paintwork looking a bit tired, could do with a refresh. Opening window which is a bonus. Air con also. What let our stay down was the Thyme Grill restaurant. Not half as good as Beefeaters. Very small portions. Steak was tasteless and anemic. Bought a meal deal but wished we hadn't.

Location is what it is, cheaper because it's not in the centre which is fine. The bed as always was very comfortable, room and hotel was a bit tired. Breakfast, well where do you start, have to book a time to go down, and if you're early you get scolded, ordered a fry up and they couldn't get that correct missed fried eggs, this happened to about 4 or 5 other tables whilst we were there, it's not rocket science it on a tick list l. The elderly waitress was slightly rude and was run of her feet as the only one working. The chef really needs to up his game.

Great place to stay and handy for York centre. Fabulous friendly hospitality and menu, and staff very welcoming. Nothing too much trouble and Sue provided a great home from home atmosphere

This room made me ill and this is the second time I got sick here Absolutely filthy dusty dirty rooms dust and stains all over the room my asthma never flares up but in this room I had to look to see why I was coughing and found thick dust literally everywhere on the curtains on all light shades loads of cobwebs and dust and massive red stain on carpet The dust is really bad The air con air vents are full of dust and there was spiders all over both rooms I stayed in I couldn’t breathe at all and there was visibly dust flowing in the room and mould on walls doors and curtains This place has been reported by me to health and safety executive and head office so let’s see if they actually do anything Staff here are what I call fake nice to you All the doors slam worst of all the hallway doors slam and if your unlucky enough to be next to one this will keep you awake all night which is bad for people like me who need the sleep to be alert safely for work next day Parking is tiny spaces and always full The floor boards creek and you can hear people talking and coughing This literally is the worst place I have ever stayed I wish I could afford to sue them

Great service, with a great team. Food was good and environment relaxed... Easy access to main road but nice and quiet. Alix L sorted the minor wrinkles with a smile and efficiency.

A very decent hotel. Short on food supplies the evening we stayed. Great location as a base before visiting York.

An extremely well run Premier Inn. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very well presented. The on-site restaurant was notable in that it's not the usual Beefeater. The evening G menu was modest but offers something for everyone. Allergies are well catered for. Breakfast was excellent. The full English was cooked to order, everything else is available for you to help yourself. Good range of options. Overall,, this might be the best Premier Inn we've stayed at. Very well placed for visiting York too, just 15 minutes from the nearest park and ride too. Surprisingly quiet given the location too.

Nice parking availability, the place is clean, plates and cutlery are good but we got a glass dirty of lipstick. Outside is advertised food 4-8 but that’s probably an old sign. We ordered at 4.16 we waited until 5pm to be served burned chips and mediocre food. The pub wasn’t busy and we were the only 2 eating. During the 45 minutes wait i wanted to play pool paying by card, I paid £1 but the table didn’t release the balls. The bartender didn’t bother to stop scrolling videos on her phone and said the only thing I could do was pay again with a coin. She added that the pound will be refunded and that I misread my bank app and the transaction was “pending”. Yet the bank just confirmed the money has been charged. Despite the good prices, I would never recommend anyone to come here as the bartender that clearly is eager, at any cost, to damage the reputation of the pub where she works.

Food was ok Samoas looked frozen then deep fried, food a little over priced, £16 odd quid for a lamb tikka is a bit steep. The location of the restaurant is strange and it look a bit tired on the outside and greeted by 2 females hopping of a bus to use the rear of the restaurant as a wild toilet, it came across like a discussed service station. Service was good but was not busy at the time so was one course after another. We only went as it was down the road from the hotel we stayed at, but it appears they rely on passing trade or takeaways more. It was different to our usual Indian back at home. If I was to visit York again I don't think I would return to this restaurant
