Being going hear for years But last few months food has down hill

Food was disgusting, should have been shredded beef in chilli. Should have been in oil and carrots. Worst food ever, will not be going here ever again. Try it at your peral it’s disgusting. Egg fried rice with no Egg, what’s all that about. Might be cheap but not edible.

The best Chinese in the area. Always good, hot and on time. Very traditional- reminds me of the 80s when parents got one on Saturdays. 💯 edit: we are a family of 5 so have many different dishes. Credit where it’s due.

Good standard of take away, collected last time and they missed a dish which was delivered promptly. No card payments for collection

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! Absolutely disgusting food chicken was chewy and freezing, beef was in tomato sauce instead of sweet and sour the customer service is horrible! WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN.

Bought take away yesterday. Hadn't realised we had ordered vegetarian. Oh, no we didn't. Meat was in short supply. Pretty disappointed. Won't return.

Our meal was so disappointing! The duck was rock hard and dry and noodles were swimming in oil!

Well this has got to be the worst Chinese I’ve ever had chips under cooked beef curry was in a small container not like you get from other Chinese takeaways half the size .spring rolls were under cooked not crispy like they should be disappointed is not the word felt cheated tbh

We had the Szechuan banquet. Well cooked and delivered hot as always.

In our opinion the best Chinese takeaway in Selby. The food is always delicious and the size of the portions great. The service from ordering to delivery is excellent - and nearly on time but the wait is worth it. Well done Lucky Star - you are the tops!!!!!

As far as takeaway food goes its bit to bad.

After reading the good reviews I thought I would give it a try and to be honest I wasn't impressed. The prawn toast was soggy and greasy, the chips could have done with a few more minutes in the pan. The curry was ok and the ribs ok.

Brilliant Chinese me and my partner love the food especially the salt and pepper box but a wide range to choose from on the menu

Have used Lucky Star around 4-5 times over the last year or so, and the food has always been spot on. They are very generous with the meat content in their dishes, and the beef and pork in particular is lovely and tender. Definitely recommended.

Dishes not as good quality as it used to be, food looks prepared them microwaved to order especially rice dishes.

Had many a great meal from there. Food is always good

I don't like to be negative about places but had a takeaway from here last Saturday and it was inedible. 1hr 20 minutes to arrive then when it did the prawn toast was soggy and sat in a plastic tub of oil, the chips were undercooked. The sweet and sour chicken and beef dish we had for main was ok but had no flavour. I won't ever eat here again. Really was not impressed!

This takeaway is the best of a bad bunch. On a good day it's very good but a bad day leaves it average. Unfortunately selby has nothing better to offer.

Affordable greasy food which everyone wants now and then, a little lacking in flavour though, very polite family business.

This is by far the best Chinese Takeaway I have had the pleasure to visit. The customer service is excellent and the range of dishes is extraordinary. Further, whichever dish you choose is cooked to the same high standards. A pleasure to enjoy!
