Fabulous hotel. Centre of town. New restaurant and excellent service. In the hotel too so no walking over to the dreary brewers Fayre anymore.

It was a standard hotel for the price, staying locally for our friend’s wedding. The biggest gripe I had was lack of air conditioning as we stayed during the hot weekend last week. Getting to sleep with the provided fan was pretty awful and couldn’t sleep properly. Otherwise, clean room, helpful staff. No frills

Would give minus 10! Was at wrong Premier Inn to pick up my cousin....no notices... 20 mins and now been charged £57 fine! Parking notices put up AFTER I've received a fine! Beyond disgusting.. premier inn have FOREVER lost mine and my families custom. NEVER again will I use Premier Inn for anything. Give yourselves a slow handclap!

The room was fine as usual for premier inn and at least the USB points worked for a change. I also appreciate the parking exceptions. The reason for not giving more stars was the horrendous food and limited menu with no explanation. We get a meal deal for work, and had a choice of chicken strips, chips or nachos for starter and not much for mains either. Nachos are literally out the bag with a tiny dip and one sprig of rocket for 3.50. Chicken wasn't crispy. The fish and chips had no veg or tartar sauce, tiny portions of chips and the fish was straight out of a frozen Birdseye box, for 13.50! I could make much better at home for the price of the nachos! Bolognese tasted like tea and was horrible, probably out of a microwave packet. If you can't do food shut the kitchen don't rip people off, it's criminal charging that, and after a hard day's work it's disappointing. At least breakfast was nice.

Standard Premier Inn room, location is about a mile and a half out of town but free parking for hotel guests. The pub next door is open for breakfast and dinner but only for hotel guests and the dinner and drinks menus are much restricted, not sure whether this is a permanent situation as there is some renovation work going on.

Good value hotel, rooms were perfectly reasonable (but would get hot on a warm day I imagine). Breakfast was average - kept running out of crockery and food items. Ordering cooked breakfast for a big group wasn't straight forward either.

Great service the only thing I would say they should have maps and bus information for those who don't have car

The service was great. Parties were all seated with enough space between us so that it's not uncomfortable to talk. I had the house favourite duck, and my husband had the steak. The duck was lovely. However, the steak sirloin was chargrilled, which we weren't a huge fan of. Overall a lovely experience and we will definitely be coming back with our dog as its a dog friendly place 😊

I was looking for a new venue for a regular Christmas get together with 35 guys. I thought I would give The Kings Arms a try and what a good choice. The staff couldn't have been more helpful especially Lizzy. Food was arranged and served to us in the skittle alley a good selection and amount. The pub was lively and fun, bar service was quick and efficient and friendly. I really couldn't have wished for more. Well done all the staff at the Kings Arms on Saturday 17th Dec 2022.

Well this place sure is A HIDDEN LITTLE GEM, From the moment you get to the door, the meet and greet guys are so friendly and welcoming You then step into a beautifully furnished retro music bar, The chairs are ever so comfy, the music is the nostalgic retro years, taking you down a very happy and fun memory lane, it's not over loud, you can hear yourself talk, the beautiful bar staff are very warm friendly and welcoming, their smiles and genuine happiness is certainly infectious, the DJ on Friday and Saturday makes you feel part of a big family, they refer to you by name, and again like their team members also make you feel most welcomed, and make you laugh as well as giving you that happy vibe. Pints are real clean crisp and tasty, the venue is so clean and today throughout, the bathrooms also. All in all the staff are brilliant, your made to feel very safe warm and relaxed, the music is as it says on the label RETRO, everyone is friendly no dramas or issues, The age groups all mix together from young to mature which is very rare to see, If you're looking for a lively lovely friendly fun welcoming night out Friday and Saturday then RETRO is a must go to venue
