Clean and comfortable enough. In need of some repairs and a refurbishment. All the staff were polite and friendly.

The hotel is good, the rooms were clean. It is a massive hotel and getting to some of the rooms is quite a walk.

Very nice stay over for a wedding. Family room for 3 was clean and beds very comfy. Breakfast was a lovely start to the day . We like Premier Inn big time.

The service from the pleasant and cheerful bar staff went a long way to help make up for the tired and dated decor.

We’ve been coming here a few times a year for many years now, mostly for breakfast, and the food has always been great, especially impressive given the number of people they serve. The staff are always helpful when needed, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Nice friendly reception. The place and room very clean. Car Park only had about 3 spaces spare and two of them were cramped by either large vehicles to the side of poor parking. It is either a long walk or £12 in a taxi to get to town. There are buses. We took the breakfast option hence the 3 stars. First off it wasn't the staff - they were helpful, polite, friendly, making sure things worked and tables cleared quickly. Unfortunately, this was open to the public as well and was one of those unlimited breakfast price places with kids eat free. I am not sure if it was because it was Saturday but the place was very busy with children everywhere. I am not anti kids but a lot were roaming free, grabbing food giving the place the feel of a school dinners hall. I nearly split a large fresh hot coffee over a toddler that was bimbling around in the hot drinks area with its' parent. I had got my coffee turned round and the toddler was literally under my feet. I think the people running the place need to put more control in especially in the hot drink prep areas before someone is seriously scalded. You were often elbow to elbow with people trying to get to toaster, milk and coffee machines and for every one polite person there were about 3 just shoving in or just reaching over. I think just a few more people and bedlam would have happened. Oh food was OK but the trouble with mass catering like this quality does suffer. We stayed at the Faversham Premier Inn once and that breakfast was pretty much 5 star....

Woken at 23.25 by someone entering my room. Reported it the next morning. No recompense offered. Despite complaining, 2 months later nothing. Their "Good night" policy not followed.

Standard premier inn, room clean and had air con which was lovely and cold, woman on reception was lovely. It's a fairy big hotel so getting to the room was a mission. Room could do with some tlc, bathroom door cracked, and walls marked ect. Finger prints on tv, but overall a decent room.

This is the worst premier inn we have stayed at. We had to change rooms because the room we were given was very stuffy with a bad smell. The window was fixed with no opener, so it is impossible to air the room. Went to the reception to ask about changing and we were able to move to a room with an opening window. The receptionist made it seem like I was being really awkward to ask about a room change. In check out we had to carry the luggage down three flights of stairs due to the lift being out of order.

Disappointing, we had to go up to second floor and back down to our first floor room. Lorry delivery at 7am right below our window

Very comfy bed. Horrible squeaky fan in bathroom which made such a racket I gave up on the idea of a bath. Iffy plumbing.

The hotel is a bit further out from the centre of Hastings so a car would be useful here, otherwise taxis would be needed to the town centre.

Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms. My only issue was that the rooms on the other side of the hotel are a bit of a faff to get to and from. Would of been good to have an option to use the fire door with the room key

Grossly overpriced. More than 3 times what I usually pay for one night. Outrageous.

The Royal Victoria Hotel in St Leonard’s on Sea is a bit of a blast from the past, but in the best way! Yes, it’s got that faded glamour look—think vintage charm with a few miles on the clock. But at £130 for a huge suite complete with living room, bedroom, and bathroom, I’d call it a first-class 3-star that’s well worth the ticket. Our suite was spacious enough to stretch out like a transatlantic long-haul, with views over the sea that could rival any business class window seat. The bed? Very comfortable, with all the essentials on hand—nothing over the top, but everything you need for a pleasant stay. The decor might be a bit tired, but that almost adds to the charm, giving you the feeling you’ve stepped into another era. And let’s face it, sometimes a bit of nostalgia makes the experience. For what you pay, this hotel is pure value. Sure, it’s not a five-star luxury spot, but it’s a comfy, no-fuss option for those who appreciate a bit of character with their seafront views. After a long day of exploring Hastings, it was the perfect place to come back and relax. If you’re after glamour, maybe look elsewhere—but if you want a spacious, comfortable stay with a touch of history, the Royal Victoria offers a memorable layover by the sea.

Croissant and scones good. Coffee ok. Would love a better range of cake. I don't get why dogs aren't allowed inside. Many other bakeries, both takeaway and eat in, appear not to have a problem with them, and given the narrow pavements outside, I'd rather the dogs weren't taking up the pathways.
