We regularly use this hotel and always find it to be clean, comfortable and a perfect location for getting into Glasgow. The staff are always very friendly and helpful especially Tracey who is always very happy to help. Would recommend five stars!

We arrived at the Premier Inn peel Park. We met Chantelle at the reception desk and she was amazing. We explained our family trip story and she was absolutely brilliant. She helped me my husband and 3 kids feel safe and secure. She was so lovely. All staff at the premier inn peel park was great. But I want to give 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ to Chantelle where she made us feel at ease. Beautiful rooms and beautiful staff. Xx

When checking in Lynne helped greatly with the requests we had. Rooms were clean, spacious and everything we expect from premier inn. We use them regularly and had no complaints. The lady, who I didnt get her name but think she was the manager when checking out was very helpful and checked we were happy with our stay. Which we were. Happily stay again. I would also add we had a large booking at the restaurant next door where the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Second time staying at the peel park premier inn to stay while attending a wedding at The Busby Hotel. Staff more than accommodating got early access to our room to get ready for wedding , reception staff pleasant and helpfull, room immaculate and cosy for our arrival and arranged a taxi for our journey to the wedding. We will always return when attending any events in EK Thank again Tracy and staff x Wilma & Davy

We stay in Premier inn a lot up and down the country, and they are always very good, but in particular this one has stood out for us. Always very comfortable and clean, but Tracey at reception is an absolute star! So friendly and welcoming to me and my family she goes the extra mile, she really did put a smile on our faces, especially my sons! Tracey is a credit to premier inn, and also the lady who serviced the rooms I didn’t get her name. This will be our number 1 choice when visiting to watch the Gers again, Thanks again 😃

Usual Premier Inn comfortable and welcoming hotel. Building a little dated and mattresses a little worn but easily made up with quiet location with very friendly and helpful staff. Update july 2023. Different room and excellent bed. Really comfortable and fantastic welcome from Carol. Love staying here, made better by the excellent people who work here.

A 4-night stay with a lovely comfortable room. It was really easy to access the rest of Glasgow as the Hairmyres train station was a 10 minute walk away. We had a lovely spacious bathroom with a bath in it! Everything was clean, my only concern was I found a pair of dirty pants under the bed when doing my final checks to leave that didn’t belong to us.

2 night stay, bed only but had breakfast across the way at a Harvester restaurant. The hotel was clean and warm and the staff were friendly and helpful. Was conveniently situated to where my son is now living so we will definitely be staying on our next return visit. It was reasonably priced and fairly easy to book. Facilities were good but lack of USB ports in the room for charging mobile phones so you need to take your own one. Would definitely recommend.

Please note that the photographs in this review show the old menu. Unfortunately, since The Junkyard has changed ownership, it has lost much of the charm and character that once made it a standout. The place isn’t just lacking in quality anymore. It’s the entire vibe, identity, and atmosphere that have taken a dive. Under the previous ownership, The Junkyard felt like a true gem. The owner’s genuine passion for craft beer and the unique menu helped create a space with a real sense of identity. One of the key aspects of that identity was the varied Crackbird chicken range, which has now been reduced to a single item on the menu. The new menu feels like a shadow of what it once was, confused and directionless, unsure whether it wants to be an Asian restaurant or a Western pub. To make matters worse, their website still shows the old menu, and there has been no update or acknowledgment of the changes. I can’t find any mention anywhere of The Junkyard having changed ownership, nor have I seen any indication that they intend to turn it into an Asian restaurant. This lack of transparency and communication from the new owners leads me to believe they are not interested in keeping customers informed or maintaining the vibe that made The Junkyard special. What made The Junkyard special, the character, the vibe, the overall experience, has been lost. Unfortunately, what The Junkyard once represented no longer exists.

Loved the Night Star under previous owners, not least because they were a nice family . This was my first time I have tried Night Star since new owners took over and pleased to say food was great. Fish my wife and mother-in-law had was perfect and generous and chips were lovely. I had black pudding which was also great, batter was just right and pudding was savoury and tasty. Daughter had a donner which was also great. Guy serving was also friendly and gave me a sample of the donner while I was waiting. Will definitely be back.
