Premier Inn Doncaster (Lakeside) hotel in Doncaster

Great view from a standard modern room. The bathroom is about due for deep clean around the edges of the shower enclosure, although the room has been cleaned well. The only criticism I have is that the designated smoking area outside the annex is right next to the door, so you have to go through a cloud of smoke to get in or out!

Brilliantly positioned hotel - 5 mins walk from the stadium and bang in ye middle of a really good retail park - you know what you’re getting with Premier Inn 👍

With a beef eater attached, it's a good place to meet friends for a meal. Quiet rooms, places to go for a walk.

Had a fantastic stay at The Premier Inn! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for 2 nights. Nice people, good location. The room I stayed was not great because the carpet was old and with a stale smell. I later learned that the rooms in the Annex are better. So, always ask for the Annex…

Great staff, great service nothing is too much trouble for them. All you need to do is ask, and it’s the same thing in the Restaurant!

As IU was attending an event in Doncaster, the location, price and the room has suited the requirements. Amply parking space and my room was upgraded, which I pretty much appreciate. However, I would suggest to look for breakfast somewhere else.

One of our rooms smelled of cigarettes and the other one had musty smell. The first one was changed upon request, but it had a twin bed instead of a double. Cleaning consisted of taking out the trash. No embedding. Our car was scratched somewhere and we asked the staff to look at the parking lot CCTV. The receptionist was not helpful, the manager didn't show up for 2 days. Still, the location is excellent, close to the Lakeside Village Mall and a good restaurant.

Alan who works in the Kitchen was super amazing. Polite, professional and has a smile which welcomes you. 400 guests for breakfast and still smiling after 4 hours. The poached eggs were perfect! Thank you 🙂

All the basics, clean and tidy and good wholesome food at the beefeater restaurant ...

I stayed here recently in a family room (requested a twin) so one double one sofa bed. decor tired, shower dirty black mould or similar in corners. Room lacked storage space one thin rail to hang clothes. Breakfast was problematic as by the time we got there apparently we had already had breakfast so took a while to sort out. Reception staff friendly but over all it was a disappointing visit.

There was a mix up with our booking (our fault) Marie at reception couldn’t have been more helpful and then the staff at the beefeater Declan and Jaya were so friendly and helpful honestly some of the best service we’ve received - a pleasure to be here. thank you!!!

I spent a week here and most nights were great but from Friday night onwards we had interrupt sleep, also mould in the room and bathroom. Good night guarantee definitely not - noise from people shouting in the early hours of the morning and noise from equipment from other rooms and noise from the heating system in the corridors. The option was move rooms at midnight when you are already in your nightwear and pack all of your stuff and children and move. Oh let me not forget that the room is also not ready so you have to wait for the room then move and it's already after midnight. My phone picked up the sound of a phone has picked it up it's loud. The sound could be heard throughout the corridor at every unit, so moving was not going to solve that problem. Let's not get started on the food, I have had better food from a school canteen, salad was drenched in only what can be described as watery salad cream and you ask for steak medium rare and you get it medium well. The quality of the meat used for their meals needs to be looked at again and new suppliers found someone who can make tasty meals!

Very friendly staff, beefeater next door staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean hotel a little tired but other than that I definitely recommend.

Rooms in the main building are clean but tatty, smell musty in corridor and rooms. The Annex smells fresher. Staff in reception can not fault. Parking is good. Location ok if you want to shop and eat. Beefeater restaurant food not good.

Exceptionally friendly and efficient receptionist who checked us in speedily and without fuss. The room we were allocated looked ok but the toilet did not flush. On returning to reception we again received the same professional service and were allocated a similar room to the original. Very clean and comfortable. The attached Beefeater restaurant was also without fault with friendly efficient service and good food well cooked.

I’m glad this wasn’t my first Premier Inn experience as it would be my last. We went into the bar and the full length of the bar was strewn with empty glasses. Most of the tables needed cleaning and there was no beer, as they had run out the day before! The room was a bit tatty, the USB port didn’t work, we couldn’t control the air con/heating and the shower gel bottle holder was hanging off the wall plus it was empty. Breakfast was not the usual high Premier Inn standard and was a Beefeater ‘restaurant’. The hot food had flies swarming all over it (a dead one was stuck to a fried egg) and again the bar area and tables were still covered in glasses from the night before and table again were dirty. I won’t be returning to this place

Great service and very friendly staff. Our room wasn't ready for early check in so we was upgraded and had the fee taken off also. Room was clean and tidy and as always a lovely comfortable bed.

The room is spacious and the shower is great. Good water pressure. Breakfast is good. The location is good, there are a lot of shops nearby

We have used this location for the last five years whilst attending the CoppaFeel Charity Day at Crookhill Park Golf Club. Unfortunately CoppaFeel moves to a new venue in 2025 so we will be staying at a different hotel.

Had a lovely time at this premier inn, rooms were clean and bright. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. My only downfall was going for dinner at the Beef Eater which is attached to the hotel only to be told we had to wait over two hours for a table and having small children this wasn't possible. We didn't realise you book it through the reception.

Stay here when we're at Doncaster race's.

We really enjoyed staying here, lovely location and we went for a walk around the lake. The staff were friendly and helpful just as we have come to expect when staying at a Premier Inn

After shopping at lakeside popped in for a very nice steak.

The ladies on the reception were very helpful managed to book a early check-in earlier, which was extremely easy and helpful. Can’t thank the ladies enough for sorting out my room and early booking and check-in was a breeze.

Very nice hotel near the lake, Lakeside Village shops, walkable to the cinema and swimming pools complex.

Unfortunately I got a last available room. Was not what I wanted but needed it close to work. I am spoilt at a Premier Inn normally with a bath but this one time I had a wet room which was not nice...

We booked 27 rooms for the Suffolk Schools Cross Country team, the championships were being held at nearby Pontefract Race course. We benefitted from the meal deal which was great value and included evening meal and breakfast. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were incredibly helpful both prior to visit getting all the meals and rooms sorted out but also when we stayed. Well done Premier Inn Doncaster Lakeside

We've been staying at this hotel since 2016 and the staff are incredible. We're always greeted with a friendly welcome and the staff are always helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the restaurant has delicious food.

We went to watch AFC Wimbledon play Doncaster and stayed at this hotel which is in a great location next to a variety or shops and places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and we had an excellent stay. There is even a great walk around the lake next door too.

Place to rest overnight rather than late night long journey. Does what it promises - clean comfortable & reasonable.

The usual good clean accommodation. Hot through the night despite the heating controls. The noisiest room I've had yet! Snoring and many feet running around in addition to the toilet trips throughout the night, several heavy thumps..... Breakfast good, chaotically busy and spills left over the floor and counters. Yes I'd use them again though. Evening meal rubbish choices so I'll avoid that.
