Premier Inn cookhouse in Sandwell

Came here yesterday with my partner , She ordered a 8oz steak that cost neally £17 ,ordered it medium rare ,came medium well if not not well done ,asked her take it back but she didn't want the fuss . I ordered beef and ale pie and mash and gravy ,the mash was like it had been in a microwave and put under the heatlamp for 10 hours ,pie just tasted of pepper . Tables left dirty nobody collected plates ,nobody asked us if food was OK. Would really avoid this place I will never be going back .

Recently had my son‘s birthday meal here and the food was excellent. Good Value for money. The staff were excellent and very polite however did seem shortstaffed but you could see they were doing their best

Staff are lovely and it is a nice atmosphere...Shame about the poor food. We have been here many times and the food is usually average. Tonight however, it was just bad. The potatoes on the Turkey dinner was greasy and overdone. The meat free chicken breast was inedible. Greasy, no taste and the texture was weird. The best part was the sprouts and cabbage. The vegies on the children's vegie plate was dry. It may be lower cost food but I still expect a basic level of quality.

Took my neice today for breakfast. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was really good and plenty of choice. The restaurant is spotless and well set out. We will definitely be going again. To the 2 lovely ladies working today, a huge thank you ❤️

I love this place! I love the food and the staff. Never had a bad meal and the service is second to none every time… chicken Katsu curry is to die for, along with their steaks and Sunday roasts 👌

Was just looking for a quick local dinner but wish I never bothered coming. So many things were off the menu, and the place looks dingier than it used to. Gone massively downhill. Wife was served a very flat coke and told the veggie option on the special wasn't available. I was told my first choice beer wasn't on. Should've gone to Maccies.

Great price and food went down well with the youngsters so always a positive when that happens

We always come cookhouse when ever my husband and I visit our daughter and our grandchildren. But this time we were disappointed , there was no MAC and CHEESE in your menu. I also asked lovely lady who served us , couldn't enough apologise. So instead I had vegan burger 🍔 for me , tastes was horrible 😫. Bring back MAC AND CHEESE ....

Attended for breakfast along with my two children under 16yrs old.. With every paying adult your allowed two (2x) children under 16yrs old to eat free. A full paying adult is £9.99. A lovely option of food that includes; fried eggs, poached eggs, black pudding, fresh tomatoes, baked beans, mushroom's, hash browns, bacon, sausage (vegetarian sausage), different coffees, milk, apple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, tea's, white / brown bread, crumpets, croissants, jam's, marmalade, marmite, chocolate spread and a good choice of cereals.. And very friendly staff. 🍀

It's located on A41, it's below premier Inn it's got it's own car park just next to Tesco, vibrant atmosphere friendly staff vast choice of food and beers tasty food at reasonable prices. Must try.

We had our family Christmas dinner here and considering it was heaving with people the staff were fantastic and sorted out each of our queries. We had money deducted from our bill due to late food and the chef came out and apologised himself for the misunderstanding. Can't really ask for anymore than that, reason for 4 stars is because the food was not fantastic but was decent.

Absolutely fantastic food, thank u to Val and the other staff who looked after us, at a very busy time, definitely recommend.

Fish was undercooked, I was unwell for several days afterwards. Portions are small for the price. Service was lovely, we had the nicest waitress, shame the evening wasn't as nice as she!

A group of us now use this place as a meeting up foe a meal place to catch up, the food is good and the staff even better lol. They are always ready to help and listen to any complaints and don't fob you off with platitudes.

No ice. No cherry bakewell cocktail Waitress had an attitude Only 2 fish goujons for the starter, asked if this was actually the case. They cooked one more and gave it. Asked for medium steak and all three came well done. By this time we were tired of complaining. Couldn't use my mother's birthday discount and complain and get a discount at the same time. The manager refused to speak to us. Only saving grace was Alex who took over from the miserable waitress. He tried his best to rectify the issue and potentially got in trouble with his boss. Not on. Don't think I will be returning.

We keep going back. Good food bright and airy, with great staff.

Gave 3 stars from sunday meal only always enjoyed there food but thought id try there sunday lunch never again left most of it gravy like water no flavour cabbage like string carrots hard roasted potatoes nice but dry only thing i ate was meat n parsnips n yorkie sorry sunday lunches a No No from me ☹

Food was lovely and service on point and friendly had a lovely waitress called Nicole she was very attentive and we were very happy x it was my birthday and I was given with compliments of the pub some milk tray and love hearts tea lights so kind and thoughtful. Have been a few times now and always an enjoyable visit

Not enough staff but food was good

Amazing food , visit here regularly and have never had a bad meal . Early bird prices are a bonus .Service is spot on and very friendly , San Miguel on draught...boom ! Book your table you won't be disappointed.

Good food at the right price, easy free parking and friendly helpful staff

Plenty of parking, nice and bright and clean with friendly staff but... The menu isn't very wide and rarely seems to change. The food itself is ok, just ok! Prices aren't ridiculous but do seem to have gone up recently. All-in-all you could probably do better elsewhere but ok if you do drop in.

The staff are very helpful and friendly,but the food we had was no better than a microwave ready meal..it was ok but nothing special....shame

Whet for a meal at the cookhouse restaurant in West Bromwich, meal was lovely. Nice surroundings, staff very pleasant. Around ten days later I received a parking ticket for £60.00p as I didn’t record my licence plate number when entering the premises. Spoke to a manager ( Sanny Wong )who was very helpful after I explain the situaration, I would just go sat thank you for all your help in sorting this matter out.

We've been here for large family meals as well as a quick bite to eat whilst out and the food is beautiful. All meats are cooked to perfection and presented wonderfully. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and a credit to the company. That being said one particular member of management would be in the job centre quicker than he could blink were he one of my team leaders as his attitude towards his team is appalling and his language in front of customers is nothing short of abysmal. That being said the rest of the team continued to provide amazing service and deserve the 5* rating

I visited here recently along with a few friends for an evening meal. We were looked after a lovely young lady, Leah. Food, drink was brilliant as before but unfortunately poor Leah was over stretched with the number of customers and large tables of customers. The other staff were helpful and helping her but we still had to wait for longer than expected for drinks, food, to pay the bill etc.
