Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre (Queen Street) hotel in Cardiff

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night. I have to admit it was the best night sleep we've had in a long time. The mattress was so comfortable that I'm not even ashamed to say we lifted the sheets and took note of the manufacturer 🤣 Location was great for what we needed it for.I'm actually upset I'm sleeping in my own bed tonight 😭

Great location, so nice to be right by the train to get down to the Bay as well as being super centralized- plenty of buses, super walkable. I got very very ill during my stay, and I was solo traveling- the staff was incredibly kind about helping me get medicine and be well. Lovely lobby space, great to remote work from, super fun bar, I'll be back and be recommending it to mates!

The breakfast at premier Inn is why I used it, and this didn't disappoint. Very tasty and cooked really nicely. It also has an excellent 24hr bar. The room however was cold and a little poor condition with peeling paint. The check in process that was supposed to be automated via a machine didn't work and was confusing, requiring the help of one of the staff, who thankfully was very kind and helpful.

Room was chilly on arrival, light pours through the edges of the curtains so be ready for the sunrise wake up! I sure didn't expect it! Shower awkward to programme but once you get it to the right setting just do not move the knob again or you will regret it. Super humid in the room and bathroom if you shower so good luck for applying mascara when it's so humid! Oh and the bar is advertised 24hrs but was shut last night

Enjoyable one night stay clean, tidy affordable

Me and my boyfriend came here for my 18th birthday, I paid a tiny bit extra for a premier plus room with a view as i was curious to see what a plus room was like. It was on the top floor which I liked but there definitely wasn’t a view 😂 The only difference between this room and a standard one is that you only get a shower, no bath, a mini fridge, ultimate wifi, coffee machine, an extra mirror and a better wardrobe. We usually stay at the stadium premier inn which is usually great but thought we’d try this one for a change. Most of the walls had weird smears and marks on them and there was random hairs on some of the furniture. The toilet had black marks in it and the toilet seat had something stuck to it. It didn’t feel clean to be honest. The man who checked us in at reception was hilarious and extremely lovely. Location wise the stadium is a lot better but the location isn’t bad. Probably won’t return to this one.

Perfect location for New Theatre as it is just around the corner. Great service and breakfast was spot on.

Self checking a pain when busy and no key cards, but other than that, a great place to stay staff helpful and friendly . Breakfast spot on!!

Good standard and friendly helpful staff. Only issue was room very cold as problem with heating system. Reported it but it then started clicking through the night so switched it off. Not ideal but everything else great. Thank you

Idea for people wants to stay in lively location. Rooms were clean.

We stayed 3 nights mid- December. Great location. Room was spacious with everything you needed. Not such a good experience in the restaurant for dinner with slow service when the place wasn't very busy.

Booked this hotel for a few days recently and check in was very easy, you go and check in yourself and get your own hotel key from a kiosk. Staff were readily available if help was needed. I was very happy with the room I got, because I could see trains passing by from my bedroom window. I booked the hotel originally for 3 nights, but I forgot that I had booked a tea blending experience at the local bird and blend shop down the road from the hotel on the last day I was due to check out. This wasn’t an issue as I was able to book an extra night in the same hotel room I stayed in for the three previous nights. I can’t praise the staff enough for their helpfulness and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This room was amazing, so as the view from the window. So close to the Cardiff Arena. Very nice breakfast. We also like how spacious the room was and how comfortable the bed was. I definitely enjoyed complimentary sweets and drinks😊 if you are planning to stay longer, the room also has a fridge inside

I was waiting for a friend to come downstairs and they treated me like I was some crackhead for waiting downstairs and told me they’re a private hotel and asked me to leave

Me and my friend was meant to say here for 2 nights to celebrate her birthday and NYE. Unfortunately our smoke alarm detected, however we caused no harm towards it. We was accused of setting it off which led to us being asked to pay a £100 fine. Defending ourselves due to poorly being accused of something we didn’t do, we argued against this which led us to being thrown out our hotel room at 11pm at night. We are two 18 year old girls 3 hours away from home having no clue what our surroundings were like. I also will add that we was under the influence of alcohol and was dressed up nicely which can cause dangers in this day and age. We thought as the receptionists who dealt with this incident were women they would have respect for two youths being left stranded in the dark somewhere we aren’t familiar with all our belonging for 3 hours. We were very emotional which they had no sympathy for whatsoever. We specifically told them we had low charge, not enough money and no where to go. Luckily we had parents who were able to financially support us with a new hotel.

The coldest Premier Inn room I have ever stayed in. When I complained they did nothing. Luckily I saw a chambermaid who found me a heater.

Situated in city center near big mall with lots of shopping can be done. There are lots of parking nearby. You can spend lots of time shopping then pick up youe car at any of the ncp parking.

There is a staff member called ash. He actually makes this place what it is, it's more convenient for us to stay in the premiere on the other side of town, but we love this one just for him tbh. We generally book this one for work purposes just for his vibrant and wonderful positive personality. It's enough 2 get any1s day/evening started. We love him. Thank you ash for being you

Good hotel... only one elevator because the other one was broken, no toilet brushes as always and a lamp on the bed broken... otherwise everything was chic...😇

If you are a single person or couple the big bed is great. Having the smaller one isn't so much. The food was good with a great breakfast choice, they clearly didn't have enough staff to deal with the rush of booking in, and trouble shooting.

I really recommend this place. The down stairs is very pretty with plants scattered around the place. Even though I had only stayed at the hotel for one night I enjoyed my stay. We stayed at the hotel because there was a football game. That night we had dinner at the hotel and struggled to get a uber, because the uber cars only could have a max of 4 people. We told the worker about it and asked if he had any recommendations. He said to us straight away that he could book a taxi for us and we said yes. After 2 minutes the worker came back and had all of it sorted.

All were good rooms were clean and quiet, but didn’t have parking, made us very difficult time to walk in rain to the car .

Have stayed in this Premier inn a few times. The rooms are always lovely and pretty spacious. Staff friendly and available. The check-in process was as simple as anything. Had breakfast in the morning. Everything was perfect. Will def be back to stay again

Very nice Premier Inn right in the centre of Cardiff. Near to the Queen Street train station. Large room, very clean and a comfortable bed. The room we had (8th floor) had a great view across Cardiff. We didn't eat at the hotel but we did have a drink, reasonably priced and served by friendly helpful staff. I wouldn't hesitate and recommending this hotel and will definitely stay there again

This is one of the best Premier Inn so far as compared to all the other Premier Inns I have stayed during my 10 days trip. The room was spacious and the service was great! Special thanks to Matthew for the fantastic service👍

Excellent- 4 mugs & glasses in our family room, (most Premier Inns only supply 2 of each, like children don't drink!) Plenty of milks, etc; large room for space between beds; well-cooked and stocked breakfast and pleasant staff.

Stayed here for a night at the weekend. Hotel is in a fantastic position (right in the very center of town) Self check-in was quick and easy. Hotel in general including our room was clean & fresh. Everything worked as it should. Nice and quiet, we didn't hear any noise through the night or early morning. Only slight negative re room is the window over looked a concrete wall! dark and not nice to look at but we weren't there for the window view! is how we justified that. We also feel that with the room rate you should be entitled to free parking, they offer a 25% discount rate at a nearby NCP but its still just under £20 for 24hrs.

Typical Premier Inn with friendly staff and clean rooms. However, unfortunately also typical for Premier Inn is the terribly slow "Free" Wi-Fi. This is absolutely unacceptable in 2024.

It is a nice hotel but people whos working here are completely not responsible as we request a room cleaning no one come up to clean the room also request a bin bag with Im still don't got it. That's why I start writing a bad opinion about this hotel its not a first time when I stopped in Premier Inn hotel never ever experienced something like that before hope someone responsible read this opinion and gonna fix the . Hope someone will change it some part of this unless arrogant staff and the tall guy who's pretend that his a manager will manage the consequences

Great location, has loads of free disabled parking out front which was an added bonus! The decor in the hotel was lovely since they've had a refurb rooms could do with abit of tlc too! but great air con comfy beds and great value for money 🥰

I am waiting for my meeting with the manager to, I hope, better evaluate my experience in this hotel.

Room was lovely and big round the corner from St David's shopping centre and motor point arena opposite train station but you couldn't hear a sound from the room only downside was breakfast was anemic not much taste hardly any pastries out no cups and had to get milk for tea from cereal part so I basically paid £10.99 for rice crispys and a cup of tea I would stay for the rooms again but would avoid the breakfast if I went there again

Great base for exploring Cardiff City centre not far from the shops

Premier plus room, one complaint, no hot water in the sink, but bizarrely the shower was ok? Go figure! Apart from that, staff brilliant, breakfast amazing value, bar area friendly, warm and goid atmosphere, drinks pricey though. room spotless and bed really comfy. Slept in until 8.15, unheard of ! Stayed here twice now and would highly recommend it.

A very good Premiere Inn, good location, shopping and buses, close to many important parts of the city centre. We had a clean comfortable room with effective aircon.

Booked this for a show across the road. Ideal situation, clean rooms and helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was good even though it was very busy. I would strongly recommend pre-booking breakfast if required.
