The refurb is great, rooms and public areas are modern, clean and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and look after my Mum so well. So convenient for Birmingham and Solihull. Breakfast is delicious! Thanks to all the staff x

This is the second time we have stayed at this Premier Inn and it won’t be our last! The hotel is modern, clean and very quiet. Although it’s close to a busy main road, there is no noise at all. The receptionist we were greeted by was very welcoming, which was brilliant after a long journey. We had a great night’s sleep and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was really tasty, we love how it is individually made & served rather than a buffet style. Diane waited on us at breakfast and was fantastic, my husband has a nut allergy and she made sure his glass, cup and cutlery were sterilised and ensured he looked through the allergy book before ordering. Great hotel to stay at with very friendly and attentive staff. 5 stars from us.

The modern "next generation" look is very smart. Friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. The pub next door is only a carvery, if you want to eat there. The Bulls Head a short walk up the road serves all your pub classics.

Booked as a group of 3, all paid same price, one party got an upgraded room, when I questioned with reception was told he lucky you not, rude staff, no manager to speak too, was got tuff. Awful service. Not using this cowboy company again.

To be honest I didn't expect much after I booked for a 1 night stay. I was greeted by Steve on reception, who was totally professional and courteous who went above and beyond make my wife and I feel welcome. To my absolute surprise I couldn't fault the room, it was very clean, fantastically comfortable bed, tea, coffee, kettle. The shower was fantastic with plenty of towels. All in all very happy with our stay here at a very reasonable rate, we will be coming back in the summer. Again thanks Steve on reception you are a credit to your employers. Mr and Mrs Fletcher

The staff are the best of any premier inn I’ve been too - very chatty and helpful! Rooms were really nice (I had a plus room) and breakfast great

The rooms are always nice……but the purpose of this review is to commend Diane and her breakfast service! Really attentive, without being intrusive. She understood our needs and helped accommodate the 7 in our group to have a very convivial Sunday breakfast…..well done!

Lovely recently refurbished hotel with excellent staff. Shout out to the great service in the restaurant by Lady Di at breakfast looking after our grandchildren and treating them with kindness and consideration. Also a lovely breakfast cooked by Tracey the chef and a warm welcome from Steve and Julie on reception. A lovely experience over the festive period. Will 100% be back when visiting family again.

Really good experience! Ideal location for Christmas and where we were going to in Birmingham. I really cannot fault the staff at all on this three night stay. With particular praise going to the gentleman on reception on Xmas eve night shift. He was so jolly, helpful and complimentary. He deserves a raise. Only thing I’d mark down on is the room had minimal natural light during the day but it was immaculate and cosy. Good job!

When we come back to the midlands, we always stay here. The location is ideal and all of the staff are really friendly and helpful.

From ariving at the reception desk, the gentleman was so helpful and polite , service with a smile. The room was very well presented the theme was quite different to most Premier inn's I've stayed at. The bathroom with it's magenta LED light, set the mood. Not forgetting the Restaurant... great service and food was delicious, my eye's was bigger than my belly. Staff behind the bar was also very polite . All a credit to the staff. Would very much recommend it.

Great hotel staff are very helpful Diane and ade couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are spotless clean and the breakfast was beautiful, there was everything you could want. Will definitely be back soon thank you to all the staff for a brilliant experience.

Great location and comfortable room with great shower. The extra bed made things a little and only one chair Next time we will request a double room. Great staff at reception and in the breakfast room. We enjoyed a very satisfying meal in the Toby Inn with friendly and efficient service from Fred. Staff are wonderful! Dealt with issues they shouldn't have had to in a pleasant, helpful and efficient manner: water in shower luke warm - we'll get someone to look at it and find you another room: booking system would not allow us to arrive a day earlier than planned for a 2 day stay rather than a 1 night stay - no problem, we'll change your bookings here so you can stay in the same room (shame we had to move anyway!): need more towels, soy milk - no problem. Lovely to have breakfast cooked to order, shame no orange juice. Agree with the comments re lack of lighting in the car park.

Having a wonderful stay at Premier Inn Birmingham South Hall Green. Fab room, comfy bed, love the purple low lighting. Shout out to Marie and Lady Di Who cooked us a lovely breakfast and offered excellent customer service.

We stayed on Sunday 7th July. We have stayed at this Premier Inn on numerous occasions. The staff here go the extra mile to make your stay a very memorable. We have Steve on reception later in the day and Julie in the mornings. Always met and treated like one of the family. The lovely Millie cooks us the most fantastic breakfast cooked to perfection. This is served by Dianne who looks after everyone in the restaurant always makes you feel so welcome. We will be staying again very soon. Wouldn't be the same without these four members of staff. I'm sure the other members of the team here are lovely too. Our favourite Premier Inn.

This morning went down stand was greeted by one of the loveliest people ever. This is probably one of the best Premier inns I have stayed at.

Leaving 5 stars due to staff member Diane. Diane was excellent, really went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. There are 2 negatives we noted, very poor wifi throughout the hotel. Secondly the car park has no lighting so if you are coming to the hotel late at night you can't see a thing in the car park. Apart from this the stay overall was fine

Rooms, service and location perfect. Unfortunately the banging from other people's doors kept me awake a lot of the night. Is there a way to install soft closure to stop this?

Stayed here for 3 nights. Checked in quickly. We stayed in room 230 which is situated at the far end in the first floor, there’s no lift either. The room was clean and had a great walk in shower, the downside of the room was that you couldn’t connect to get free Wi-Fi and when you had the main light on and watching TV you would get a reflection on the TV from the lighting strip above the bed . The breakfast was nice but cheaper in the nearby TOBY. A special mention goes to Steve the evening/night receptionist for sorting out the minor issues and also great to have a chat with. The TOBY next door is a must for their carvery. The nearest train station into the city is a mile away, which I used a car park app to park in Wickes opposite. There’s a Greggs, Tesco Express, KFC , Aldi , Waitrose within a 5 minute drive.

The recent refurbishment is lovely. I have been here many times and it was in need of an uplift. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely to see Diane and Tracey are still working in dining room, who offer friendly and welcoming service. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you. I will be back.

Stayed here last night with my son (9yr) for the monster jam event in Birmingham, have to say the staff was very welcoming. The room was lovely and clean beds were super comfy . Breakfast was lovely well cooked and the dining staff were very sweet and interactive with us both . Would definitely stay again .

Visited here for 1 night as I was visiting Gym Shark the following day for a powerlifting competition. Twin room was clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished. Could not fault the room or the check in staff.

Having stayed in many Premier Inns, this is the first review I have left. What a difference the staff made, the room was clean and well presented and everyone was so friendly and helpful, special mention to Steve on reception, Dianne who served me breakfast in the morning and Tracy the chef who cooked the breakfast to perfection. Well done all, really has been the best experience I have had at a Premier inn.

Had an overnight stay for a concert in Birmingham, the staff are brilliant , so friendly and efficient, both rooms were very clean, spacious and sufficiently stocked. Special mention to Nora and Julie at check in and Diane and Milly for the excellent breakfast. I’ve stayed at Premier Inn all across th UK, I’ve not come across a better one. Well Done Derek

Amazing staff & service - cheerful & soon. kind & helpful. The lovely man on the desk (etc. etc.) all yesterday (21st March) was always looking out for us & helpful whatever was needed. And then breakfast today - such loving-kindness - to us as a post-funeral group - with very awkward needs - Diane has been a loving mother to us thus morning. Very very much appreciated! How do you find such staff? We love Premier Inns, but this one is the best of the best - we are astonished and utterly delighted and happy! Piers & Frances Brereton

It's really handy for the NEC, recently refurbished, everything was perfect. The staff were super friendly & helpful, and on the first day of the opening of the breakfast room, Dianne (Lady Di)was really lovely & the food was fab, thanks to Millie the chef, great stay, we will definitely come back here. Thanks for the great service.

We had not been in this Premier Inn before. It was being refurbished, but at no time did this cause any problems. The rooms were a cross between the normal standard rooms and Hub rooms. All rooms have a walk-in shower. The desk has been replaced with a shelf, but there were 2 comfy chairs and a round table to sit atand they still had a vanity area. The wardrobe shelves, which are usually at the sides, are within the wardrobe, and the hanging rail is at the side. Yes, it's different, but it's still up to Premier Inn standards with everything, including a comfy bed. They have a restaurant area for breakfasts only, cooked and continental, but they have a Toby Carvery next door for dinner. For us, we discovered that the location was a downside for the NEC if you want to get to an event early, and it's a week day as the traffic was heavy.

Room was cold on arrival but was newly refurbished and really nice. Steve on the front desk was extremely helpful and by far the best Premier Inn front desk I have dealt with. 5* for this Premier Inn but only give 4 stars for the room because it was 15⁰c upon arrival and took 2 hours to warm up to 21⁰c.

Phoned up by Steve to tell us rooms downstairs are been done out there will be noise so can I get upstairs these rooms have been done out. Steve . Julie Watkins are beautiful people
