We had a lovely 2 night stay at premier inn. Despite much commotion outside the hotel I felt safe inside. The room was spacious and clean and we had a nice view. We had dinner one night and was served by Sadè and she was lovely and accommodating. Also another mention for Tyrese who was so friendly and helpful with our luggage. Both members of staff are a credit to premier inn and we would most definitely visit again. Thank you!

Great central location but parking is a pain. Stayed here recently and the location is ideal for central Birmingham, right next to New Street Station. That said, it's a little tricky to find the entrance and parking is even more difficult. The car park they recommend on there site is about a 20 minute walk away and closes after midnight, which wasn’t ideal for a late check in. We ended up using the nearby NCP instead, which cost £18 for 24 hours. Check in was after midnight and the night staff were really friendly, which made things easier. The rooms themselves were tidy and surprisingly modern for a Premier Inn. The entrance and lobby feel a bit tired but once you're past that, the stay was comfortable overall.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay here. It’s a great location within the city centre and the staff were very attentive. A special mention to Tyrese for making us feel so welcome and for making my daughter's 16th birthday extra special.

Never before have I been to a Premier Inn where the bed was of such poor quality that I could feel the frame through the mattress… the whole thing creaks like mad when moving. I nearly threw the mattress on the floor. The worst part is that this was in a premier plus room. Pretty awful considering they “guarantee” a good night’s sleep.

Great location, right next to New St station and right in the city centre. In terms of cleanliness, could do better, it also smelt of toilets in the restaurant! Lots of homeless people hanging around outside which made me feel a bit uneasy. Food in the restaurant was not great, service was poor and had to wait ages for a clean glass for my drink. Breakfast staff on the other hand were brilliant. I won't be staying again any time soon and had it not been a business trip (with the meeting location only a stones throw from the hotel) I would not have picked this place.

It’s a decent premier inn and as you would expect . Decent sized rooms with all the usual amenities offered. Friendly staff.and easy to deal with . Stayed 4 nights Tried the buffet breakfast twice and was good . It can be quite intimidating outside if you are easily spooked . There is a lot of begging and people camping out the door on the ramp . Did have a guy try follow me in once and access the lift and generally just a bit of hassle going on outside all the time . Wouldn’t stay again . They do put a security guy on at night . Whilst I appreciate there is only so much premier inn can do it’s location is not doing it any favours . Great staff , great service , terrible location I’m afraid .

Conveniently situated hotel, less than 5 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street train station. It's amid all the local shops and walking distance to the high street and Bullring shopping centre. Unfortunately outside and leading into the building smells unsanitary due to constant urination 😥 Amenities within the hotel are reasonable with a restaurant available for serving food with a bar.

My Check in was fine but the duty manager at the time was not the most friendliest there was no welcoming or anything he wasn’t rude but wasn’t exactly friendly either I think that all guest should be made to feel a warm welcome when checking in and as a manager you need to set an example for other staff to follow other then that the location is perfect and other staff apart from The duty manager all seem friendly.

Excellent hotel in an amazing location - right in the heart of the city next to Grand Central mall and New Street station. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. Only issue was the restaurant had a problem with the catering supplier and there were many items on the menu missing (hence the 1 star less). Otherwise on the whole I do recommend and would happily return as you simply can't beat the location.

(27/10/24) The room was very clean,I couldn't find a speck of dust and for the service it was average however the prices were just outrageous which bumped down the rating. Also, upon arrival at the premier inn there was NO reception at the exit/entrance which was the first premier inn to do this. Overall, great experience and location highly recommended!

Premie inn is my go to choice for a hotel when looking for one to stay in, usually when seeing concerts several times a year. This was the first time I’d stayed in this particular one and although the breakfast was its usual quality and the room was a good size. There were 2 main problems with the deluxe room on the 6th floor. The mattress was awful! As we explained to reception it’s worst than the 10 year old mattress we’ve just thrown away! A good night sleep is something we definitely didn’t get, as there was no support on the left side on the bed as if a large person has been sleeping on it for years and left a outline. When speaking to the receptionist the following day we were told the hotel was only a year and a half old so the mattress definitely wasn’t 10’uears old. Quite frankly this scares me that the newer mattresses could be inferior. We noticed it was a silent night premier inn mattress, so glad we avoided buying one of those as our new replacement. But still you don’t expect that from premier inn and I’d suggest the hotel check out other rooms using the same mattress type by actually lying on the mattress without the duvet underneath in case this isn’t an isolated case. The other issue was that the shower tray was slippy when wet and looked discoloured, again for a year and a half shower tray strange, but mostly dangerous. No partial refund was offered by the receptionist and has left a bad taste. Also a side note, the WiFi speed his terrible, but there’s If booking again in the future I don’t think I’ll stay at this premier inn as it seemed under par to their usual standard.

I'm never disappointed with a Premier Inn as you get exactly what you expect...comfy bed, tea/ coffee etc, good shower & a decent hairdryer next to a mirror! Staff were very friendly especially Ewan at breakfast and we took advantage of the 2 course evening meal & breakfast as good value and nice food. Location is so convenient to the train station making travelling easy and all the shops on the doorstep. Also with it being right in the centre was surprisingly quiet at night.

I give four stars only as directly outside hotel is a bit rough (central location in a big city so to be expected) and there were some loud voices somewhere when we were trying to sleep (we were a side room so not sure where from). Plus though is location to train station and town centre. Room has blissful air conditioning and bed was comfortable. TV remote was a bit tricky as not working too well. When we went down to breakfast the charming man on shift remembered us from an earlier visit in the year (February) and that felt nice, best staff member for us. We will continue to use this hotel whenever we visit Brummie in the future.

If you're visiting Birmingham on business avoid, avoid, avoid this place. Don't even consider it. Although they offer free wiki it doesn't work. When you pay extra for a better connection, it still doesn't work! When you ask the staff they just shrug their shoulders & say there must be something wrong with your laptop & it's nothing to do with them! Unfortunately that just sums up customer service these days. They don't give a damn! It's worse than any hotel I've ever stayed at on this planet. What an absolutely horrible horrible experience.
