Premier Inn Basildon (East Mayne) hotel in Basildon

I never ever leave reviews but was left so annoyed after the service I received at breakfast this morning from the guy who was supposedly in charge where his rudeness was off the scale. Not just to me but to everyone in the restaurant. Needless to say I’ll not be visiting here again.

I came to this hotel last year as well and in this week as well. The is in a good area of Basildon which is safe. This time the room given to me was not properly cleaned. There was used mug and towel. They should focus on ensuring that room service is done properly. They should also spray room freshness’s jn the room and in the breakfast area. Also i would recommend to have more better options in the breakfast. They prepare fresh cooked meal for every person which is good but yes would love to have more options. Overall i believe it is a good place but not much happening.

Stated here before unfortunately it was a better experience then. There is a machine sound in the background and took a night or 2 to get use to it. Staff have been absolutely lovely as always

Heating not working but that's common for prem inn. And you have to pay for parking even if your robbed. Standard Sam whit. Company going down hill fast.

Really friendly staff and so helpful

Stayed here for onward travel to a London event, hotel is fairly tired and not sure if it's the norm but the room was 26c all night so had to run the provided fan so not the best night's sleep. Very basic and in need of a bit of a refurb, But staff were friendly and polite. Tried to get an evening meal on arrival at the adjacent beefeater after traveling 3.1/2hrs but after a 15min wait were told no walkings due to staffing issues. Not sure if I'd chose this hotel again.

Room was basic but clean and the beds are always sooooo comfortable. Arrived past midnight and was surprised to walk in to my room and find two fans whirling away. Nice touch. The room was warm so these were well needed. Breakfast service was disappointing. Tiny portions and pretty dirty all round. Cutlery dirty, cups dirty, underside of plates dirty. Floors covered in coffee grinds, spilt cereal and other crunchy stuff. I had to brush all the food debris off my chair before I sat down. Everything's set up to be in the way of something else. Nothing is really stocked up. Staff (with the exception of one lad) couldn't be less interest in customer interaction if they tried. Took far too long for them to realise I'd still not had my order taken! Shame. If you're used to a good PI breaky, I'd skip this one. As for the rest, yeah, not a bad hotel 😉

From the start of our visit we were very impressed, having 2 out of 3 of us with mobilty issues, there were ramps wheel chair lift into the restaurant. The receptionist was absolute star helping and giving advice on taxis, she couldn't be more helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The accessible rooms were very well laid out - loads of grab/ support handles in the bathroom a seat in the shower good and spacious a very good wet room. The receptionist advised us to book our table for breakfast, as it gets very busy at weekends, with us also needing a table on the flat ( no stairs ) so pleased we precooked it well done that receptionist. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay again.

Great stay as always in a premier inn. Leigh who works on reception was the best and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. She is a credit to your team and deserves recognition. Thankyou for a great stay

Recently renovated rooms, I like the new layout. Good breakfast and excellent staff. Highly recommend.

Regularly go there for the all-in-one breakfast. Great value.

Did what we needed, not the hotel's fault that Basildon isn't pedestrian friendly.

We have stayed in this Premier Inn a few times now when travelling from Norfolk to Southend and given it good reviews. Our last visit was completely different and we will not be back or the rest of our family.

Lovely experience here this February. Enjoyed some good meals in the restaurant next door😋 and any other amenity u may need is within a 5-10 drive.

The staff work very hard... The rest leave very much to be desired... Not a nice place...

Very clean, comfortable room with good friendly customer service 👍💯 However I'd never buy breakfast again with a Premier Inn room because the attached Beefeater pub was badly maintained and had poor standards of cleanliness such as many unclean plates and coffee cups which still had old food and stains after being washed. Then breakfast milk which was sour even though being told by staff it was fresh that day 😱🤮

Food and service has gone down hill for breakfast ,coffee bitter, not presented on plate nice , and most stuff in continental breakfast runs out , always for breakfast only one staff on seating you , talking food order, and collecting plates so lots of tables were being left dirty , shame
