Absolutely ridiculous delivery driver.. couldn’t seem to understand where to go to deliver food. Would like refund of delivery fee as had to go and collect our order off of him .. asking what he should do then as he couldn’t find my house?

Decor in restaurant is very warm and inviting the music is a nice touch, and not set too loud to dissuade conversation. Food was cooked as described on the menu and very good quality, was a very prompt service and draught drinks served were clean and tasted fresh. Will be visiting again soon

food was great,unlike the time I had a metal bag tie in my curry and choked. I no this was an accident but still not great servise.

Food amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. We went on a Sunday night as a party of 8 and opted for the Sunday offer. Was amazed at how much food you get for the price and was very tasty. Would recommend to anyone

Lovely food and great driver with a smile

Food is always good and tasty here. Weekday meal deal is always good value but be careful of drink prices as they are steep for just a coke or lemonade etc. Service can be slow even when you are the only ones in the restaurant but they are genuinely pleasant.

I have lived in Basildon for 7.5 years and tried several Indian takeaways. This is the first one I have gone back to. The food is superb, full of flavour, delivered in time and well presented. I would highly recommend

Order arrived late and cold, I called restaurant 2 times and got told it's 2 minutes away. It finally arrived at 8.37pm, inedible and far to late to be eating a curry , not happy at all , totally waist of money

Went to the wrong address, then was told after delivery we was given the wrong bag even though we was missing loads of items

One of the best curries I’ve had in a long time. Very flavourful, affordable and quick. Will be my go to Indian spot from now on.

Person on the phone does not understand you, asked for a pilau rice and didn't receive it, called up about it and specifically asked for pilau rice again and got boiled rice, lovely...I know its an Indian but get someone on the phone who understands English it's not hard

food was not very hot when arrived

My partner and I used this Restaurant for the first time Recently and what a bloody nice place Food was fantastic staff were very good and to top that the prices are unbelievably cheap Going to use this as my go to Indian Just a fantastic place 10 out of 10 Ray and Theresa

We’ve been a few times on a Sunday and have always had a delicious meal. The staff are really friendly and attentive and we love having a selection of dishes. It’s excellent value for money, we were really surprised how cheap it was when the bill arrived! Would definitely recommend and we will be back again! Thank you for a great meal!

Very quick delivery and good food

Ordered New Year’s Eve a mixed starter for 2, a main and 2 nann breads for delivery. We did not receive the Nann breads and when we rang they said they will deliver the bread the next day? . When I asked for my money back they said the driver was on his way home to London and would deal with it tomorrow……still waiting!!!!

Shame really. Ordered at 5.30, arrived at 7. Quality lacking and with things being expensive a take away is a rare treat so it was a shame

No update was given for any delays and even when the restaurant was called no clear information was provided to myself.

AVOID!!! MUGGED OFF !!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Went there tonight after years and it took us over an hour for our starters to come because the server forgot to take our order ! The drinks say £2.25 on the menu but we got charged £4.50 EACH?!?! we complained and he only took £7 off the bill.. which was basically the included tip. Food wasn’t worth the wait - do not waste your money!

Always amazing food. Never once had a bad experience with mintoo in all the years iv been ordering from them. Always on time or early, Always hot and good quality food. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend as the best Indian in basildon and surrounding areas

Excellent food and nice service.

The food was good but late and as a result it was luke-warm, the restaurant blamed the driver, the driver blamed the restaurant, frankly I don't care I just expect good service. There was also an error on the order, the Chicken Tikka Wrap Delight (Tandoori) was not sent, a chicken in a coconut sauce was sent instead, seemed to be a Korma, my daughter was disappointed as this wasn't what she ordered. Overall, disappointing and probably won't use Mintoo or Just Eat again, this is my second bad experience. Also the veg and meat samosas were mixed up in the bags, not great for a vegetarian.

Came here recently. The first person who was a fellow Asian who spoke to us in an English accent but briefly asked us if we wanted poppadoms. Wasn’t really impressed. You’re charging for poppadoms! We didn’t even ask and you offered that so we accepted thinking it would be a complimentary item. Little did we know that this would be £6.50 added to the bill. Anyway, while we were ordering I ordered a Budweiser bottled even though it cost £2.50. And I did it twice as I had no choice! That’s never a good starting point. Lol The rest of the meals were messed up to say the least. And they used a staff member who couldn’t even speak basic English to serve us so if there was an issue they could blame it on that poor staff member. Typical! There was sugar in what was supposed to be a spicy hot curry, there was no soy sauce when we ordered a chow mein. there was no flavour and too much oil! There was some leftover food and as we didn’t want to waste it we asked for container. They also charged us for each container in the final bill. The bill also is hand written. It should be itemised and in print. They are avoiding taxes. Please avoid as when we tried to mention the complaint they played it down saying food was cheap that night. Goodbye Mintoo! Stop fooling the good people of Basildon! They deserve so much better!

Food is usually excellent but tonight was disappointing. The chicken was really chewy and the sauce lacked flavor. Ordered a keema naan, but got a coconut naan, which I hate.

Disappointed with my prawn madras. Didn’t have much flavour and the flavour it did have just didn’t taste nice. Shame as I usually love the min too!

We ordered a chicken korma, garlic chilli chicken tikka bhuna and pilau rice and some sides. Was amazing. Best Indian we have eaten from in Basildon!

Mintoo is always spot on. Don't think I've ever eaten from here and not enjoyed it so yeah, would definitely recommend

Hi, the food came early and I was happy about that but the quality of the food was horrendous. I didn’t get everthing what I ordered and the food was cold.

Stunning food... Been going there last 20 years or so... And has always been brilliant. If you want a curry in Basildon... You won't find a better place :-)

Food was very bland, massala sauce very watery and flavourless. Fast delivery, good service just shame about the taste. First time ordering. Will not return.

Fantastic curry. Really lovely restaurant. Only negative is that I have to phone for any food adjustments as they don’t notice/care about that. (E.g. heat level etc). Don’t don’t take this review negatively, because it’s not 9/10.

Friendly.. have very good offers during the week.. not overpriced.. korma on the sweeter side.. which I like.

Called in on a Sunday evening it was quite busy. We had a table sorted out very quickly the food was good and served very fast also the drinks are very reasonable. Will definitely go again.

As a family, we have eaten food from the Mintoo for at least 25 years. We have never been disappointed. My favourite starter is Kebab Puree and tonight I tried Farlic Chicken for the first time. It was superb.

I ordered the tandoori butter chicken curry. And got plain chicken in a cream sauce it was absolutely terrible.

Ordered £80 worth of food at 7pm. Arrived at 9pm and had to walk down the road to collect it.

Was a little worried after reading recent reviews but that said my food was delivered on time piping hot and of a very good standard !! 3 very happy customers 😁

Ordered food just after 7pm delivery time 7.50pm FOOD DELIVERED AT 9.20pm, food was cold slop all congealed together , the rice came out like a solid brick, good was ordered for diabetic who had to order elsewhere. Drinks arrived room temperature not cold ! Food had to be put in the bin, REFUND AWAITING, IF THEY CANT COPE STOP TAKING ORDERS AND CLOSE DOWN RECEIVING ORDERS LIKE OTHET RESTAURANTS DO INSTEAD OF PUTTING MONEY OVER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD. Hence to say don’t think I will be back !!!!!!!

Food was cold but this was due to “ Just eat” I rang Mintoo and they were very apologetic, I heated up my food in the oven and it was lovely, next time I will ring Mintoo direct, I will never use “Just eat” again time it says was delivered is totally incorrect

Absolutely shocking service got sworn at by the staff for asking where my food was. They said they had delivered it to our doorstep as no one answered when we were in the entire time waiting for our food with our dog which would of heard too. Called the delivery driver and told him he has delivered it to the door when it clearly has not, the restaurant did not help bud added more flames to the cause blaming us and no other options to rectify our problem we now have gone without food. I would not recommend this place to anyone never have I complained like this before, the worst service I have ever seen! Disgusting being spoken to like that.

i ordered my meal at 18 40 on the 29 09 22 it would be delivered between 19 20 & 1940 i had phoned the mintoo twice and was told it was on its way. it had still not arrived at 20 45 by whice time it was to late for me to eat, the driver phoned me at 2100 to say he was on the way to me i told him i had canceled my order.
