Been staying at this hotel regularly over the years when working in the area. Always have a warm welcome. Very friendly and courteous staff, lovely room, nice food from the pub adjoining the hotel. They even put an iron and ironing board in my room in advance as they knew I always ask for one. Cannot fault this hotel, one of my favourite Premier Inn hotels ever! Gorgeous walk around the lake too, and many types of water birds to be seen etc.

My 4th stay here in 3 years. Accommodation was spot on and cleaned to a high standard. If you want quite don't get room 2 lol. Other rooms I stayed in before are spot on. Breakfast are of generous proportions. There is a large lake with plenty of wild fowl here and nice to walk off that large breakfast you just had. I will still continue to stay here when I am up this way.

Reception staff wonderful but walked into room 35 on ground floor to be greeted by strong smell of damp and water pouring down the inside of the windows like it's been used previously as a steam room. Can't open the windows and we dried the windows but wet through again instantly. Plaster starting to come off wall from condensation. Such a shame as view is beautiful but we can't see it. Have the bin wedging the door open for some air to flow round. There will be a pool of water on the floor soon. Not impressed as can't understand why there is such much condensation. Building looks modern from outside but dated. Needs proper ventilation. Window panes look single glazed and would benefit from double glazing or option to.open them. Trickle vents ineffective. Air conditioning system ineffective as window getting wetter and wetter and not looking forward to sleeping in this damp room. Smells bad..... On a positive pub next door was mint. Good service and wide choice of food. Won't be staying here again. Very expensive at 72.00 per night. Lovely idea to have seating in corner so you don't have to be on the bed but sadly not really useable due to window.

No Internet and WiFi not very good. Rooms are what you expect from a Premier Inn.

The car park looks like war zone. It's in the middle of nowhere and has the feeling it was part of a bigger development that never got finished. The biggest problem there is the WiFi which even if you upgrade is life 90s dial up speed.

Had a family meal here in early Jan 2024. The staff were extremely warm and engaging which is a perfect way to set up an experience. The food was decent enough. My curry came in one of those metal bowls, which was not hot and the curry was warm rather than hot. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it. We went for desert and many went for the sundaes which looked great, but when you looked closely were no more than 50% full. There were huge gaps in the glass with the cream sprayed on the top. It wasn't a one off, all of them were like this. We weren't in the cheap menu time slot, so a bit poor really. The toilets were a bit grim with both gents cubicle filled up with toilet roll and one urinal taped over with unpleasant leaks under it. We reported it, but don't know how long they were like that. Serving staff were 5* though.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and a good sleep. What else can you ask for. Oh wait there is a lovely lake you can walk around to wake up in the morning. I saw about 20 swans, nearly 100 geese and a Herron. Very pretty.

The rooms were an absolute joke. Hair everywhere in the bath and a leaky toilet whilst trying to deal with 2 kids wasn’t ideal. walls and floorboards are paper thin and definitely not a good nights sleep. Friendly staff and restaurant was good.

Our bi annual trip did not let us down in the ashington premier inn. Apart from the world wide price increases with food and drink that stung a little, it was still fantastic quality food on the evening as well as the breakfast. Come on, who doesn't like a premier inn brekkie?! The soft play entertained my 8 year old daughter though my 11 year old son is clearly past soft plays! Thank you for our stop on the way up to Scotland. Looking forwards to the return journey stay again in a week's time. Nick

It's a Premier Inn - so there are no surprises to report in relation to the rooms themselves. However, the car park sits in the grounds of a country park. If you take a meal in their pub/restaurant you can find yourself looking out onto a lake with all sorts of birdlife on it. A good base for exploring much of Northumberlans. For instance, it is less than a 10 minute drive to Druridge Bay with its lovely beach.

I would personally avoid staying here, the signal in the surrounding area is dreadful i know this isnt there fault, and then inside the hotel is even worse connect to their free wifi and this is just as bad and then pay for their "ultimate" wifi and it is equally despicable

A great addition to the Premier Inn line up, with a nature reserve on the doorstep it's very quiet. You can wonder around the lake or sit and watch the birds. Food next door (attached to the hotel). Sad to see both play areas out of action due to serious damage (both?!). The rooms are comfortable and standard to anyone who's ever been in a Premier Inn before. You can get extra tea and coffee for free at any point from reception. WiFi, also sadly standard, as usual barely works if you use their free offer, and certainly not well enough if you want to get any work done. The staff were all great, and really made the stay.

What a properly nice place. Found this by chance when leaving the nearby roundabout. The lake opposite and the large car park helps to feel really spacious. As expected, the rooms are consistently the same whichever Prem you would use. It was busy but felt peaceful. If it wasn't for the drizzling rain it would have been a perfect night to sit outside with a drink.

Stayed good Friday overnight in the carpark. Views amazing and it was an extremely quite night. Ate in pub and service from staff was great, very friendly, especially the service from callam. Food was good and didn't wait very long, a little pricey though but I suppose it's with inflation.

Unfortunately Mother’s Day meal at Rialto wasn’t good at all and ruined my day. Asked for a steak well done, they brought it out bloody, then took it and brought another one which was just as bloody. My partner ordered a beef roast and extra gravy boat. He received a tiny plate with a Yorkshire pudding, 2 slices of beef and 2 small potatoes. No veg, no gravy boat. Asked again for gravy boat & veg. They came 20 min later when he finished his plate with a small bowl with a carrot, peas. Really unhappy with this and once mentioned at the very end when paying the bill the staff just pulled a funny face, no apology whatsoever.
