A review for a delivery but I’ve ordered from them for the last 10 years. They offer vegan options but they are poor now to say the least. Vegan dishes have zero protein, lots of potato and the dhal has mostly water in it and very little lentil. Impression for me is that they are a struggling company and are cutting corners which I would support but considering the price they charge is unacceptably high. Compared to other options in Cambridge they are bottom of the pile. Delivery took over 2 hours and I had to ring them twice to chase this. I won’t be ordering again.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant, in Cambridge visiting and decided to pop here for dinner, the staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is amazing. We will certainly return when in Cambridge again.

Stumbled across the place on Mill Road, and I’m so glad we did! Charming service, and great food - the Lamb Islander was wonderful. Next time I’m in Cambridge, I’ll be back!

Really enjoyed our meal here this evening. Reasonably priced too!

On entering was friendly pleasant and welcoming and clean/ high step to front entrance to get in didn’t see wheelchair accessible The order was taken and the service was good did forget drinks though until mentioned again The food was hot The food at this restaurant is no different to any other Indian restaurant in the area (my opinion) The price is very expensive plus the service charge high end prices and low quality food in my opinion which means we will not return We travel the country testing other restaurants And have to say this as been the most expensive one so far

Amazing hospitality.the first impression of this restaurant was the amazing greeting of a perfect gentleman named Deepu.He was very keen in explaing everything about the dishes in detail.The food was mouthwatering.I highly recomend the Sikhanderi Lamb.The place holds extravagent ambience.Highly suggestive place to spend time with loved ones.

Good service & great ambiance. Food was prepared by a Bangladeshi chef which was apparent to the taste of an Indian tongue. For a non-Indian, it would still come across as a great taste. Good folks though. If you are not Indian, definitely visit it.

My dad and I really enjoy coming to Prana, the food is really varied and accommodating to food preferences, and it’s all so flavourful and delicious! The portion sizes are also very generous and great for sharing. The staff are all very welcoming and we can’t wait to come back soon!

Great selection of food, well prepared.

Prana serves tasty Indian food with excellent service. The pappadums are exceptionally good. The restaurant is also spotlessly clean. The food is relatively high end, so we expected to pay a bit more. This is not your casual curry takeaway. It is, however, well worth every penny spent.

Mum returned to visit Cambridge again for a break but she specifically wanted to visit Prana to have chicken Naga as she likes it spicy and that's there spiciest and she was taken by the owners hospitality last visit as they had so much to say to each other .

I would suggest The Prana Indian Restaurant is a perfect spot for the people who like Authentic Indian Food taste. The quality of food and Service is so excellent.

The food isn’t very tasty or properly authentic, not good value for money . This has ruined our experience and we would not recommend for anyone

Food is generally brilliant! I’d definitely recommend a takeaway instead of eating in as the prices go up dramatically. However, even for a takeaway now delivery is as much as £5.90 (2 miles) before service charges are added. I also had the pleasure of not being able to take the delivery at my door as the drivers gps would not let him complete the trip. After a 200metre + walk, we then got on with our dinner. As I mentioned previously the food is typically faultless, however I don't feel like repeat business is something they’re overly bothered about. E.G. No complimentary poppadom despite big orders, had them call me previously to make a further payment (£1) as they couldn’t make the dish ordered and the replacement was more expensive..

If your looking to go for a good Indian I wouldn’t go here, me and my partner went food was ok and seemed very over priced, when we got the bill it had an additional service charge on it when asked for it to be taken of was told that they can’t take it of which worked out over £13 even though the dinner alone was over £110 for 2 people, also no complimentary drink at the end.

The food was very good, fresh, lots of variety and we enjoyed it a lot!

I have dined at this restaurant a few times now and the food, service and atmosphere has been impeccable on each occasion. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We ordered saag paneer but were given mushroom saag, which had way too much sugar in (it doesn’t need any!). Disappointing.The mushroom rice was nice.

Inside I found a fresh and clean atmosphere. Regarding the service: perhaps I visited on the 'wrong' evening, perhaps because I was alone, but the attitude of the staff did not impress me positively. The food was OK, although not 'award-winning'. The price was a bit excessive. All in all, this restaurant ranks in the middle of my list, but I might try it again next time I'm in town. As usual this review is based food quality, staff attitude, atmosphere and local-standard value for money. Over the last twenty years I have been travelling for business (and not) reason and I have discovered a lot about the world of catering.

Tried the Sheek Kabab grilled mince lamb and Murgh Dhansak Persian chicken dish for the first time - both delicious. Their papadums are a must-have… they really are the best! Top tip: for great deals, sign up to their e-newsletter via their website or scan the QR code on the door.

The place is super welcoming, and cosy, and the food amazing! I really recommend trying it for anyone passing by Mill Road.

We visited Prana after a friend recommended it for breakfast/ brunch. I had a lovely Thali, my son had the English breakfast and my Husband had a breakfast wrap. A really nice place to go for a change

The lime pickle was the best I’ve had, naan’s homemade (say no more) absolutely a gem of a find. Looking forward to my next visit already.

One of my wife's favourite dishes at an Indian restaurant is soft, silky, charred paneer from the Tandoor. It is a real treat for her as although Indian cuisine is something we make a lot at home, paneer from the Tandoor is a dish she tends to have in local restaurants. I am more one for a good Lamb curry with a lot of heat. A few weeks ago, we visited Prana Restaurant on Mill Road, to try their newest editions on the menu. They have spiced things up a bit recently and added a table Tandoor, which is not only a real showpiece but delicious, too. Prana now has a seasonal menu and changes this regularly, which is a lot more fun than a fixed menu. It makes you want to come over and over as, let’s be honest, we all like a bit of change in our lives! The Samosa chaat was out of this world! I could have eaten buckets of it. Their onion bhajia is huge and so soft from the inside, a snack you should definitely order at the start of your meal. Both the Naga Pickle chicken and the paneer Tandoor were fantastic. The tender chicken pieces in the curry were cooked in pickle sauce, and the delicious soft pillows of paneer were slightly charred in the tandoor and brought as a showpiece to the table, making it a lot of fun. All Tandoor dishes can be served like this upon request. (disclaimer: not available over the weekends) I highly recommend Prana for a delicious seasonal Indian meal. They also recently introduced breakfast over the weekend, from a good fry-up to comforting Indian breakfasts. Not sure what to choose from the menu? Ask Kobir, the owner, for advice.

Good taste but a bit pricey considering the portion. Update: tried the 2nd time, probably the worst Biryani I ever had, many of us didn't enjoy the food either.. drop to the bottom, sorry.

We've been here twice now, really tasty food and nice atmosphere. Really recommend the Somasa Chat and the garlic naan. Service is quick and friendly staff, will most certainly visit again in future.

A first time for myself here and a returning trip for my partner, but for both of us our first Indian breakfast, and our child, well set to cater for children. Food and drink are options are authentic and served hot and fresh from the kitchen. Service is very personal and attentive with a calm and enjoyable , light atmosphere, the restaurant is clean and well designed with space between guests when eating . Just for the chai it’s worth a visit let alone the food. Certainly a place I look forward to returning to for not only a breakfast again but to sample the menu for lunch and evening meals. Highly recommended and a thank you to the front of house staff and chef for a wonderful experience.

The rather marvellous Prana has started doing a brunch menu. There's the usual British options for dinosaurs, a few options with an Indian twist, but we went for the East is East comprising Tarka Dahl, Chana Dahl, a dear little Desi Omlette, Lime Pickle and a couple of Parata for dipping/mopping. Delicious, quick and very well priced for Cambridge. Very much recommend.

Super affordable and tastiest Indian food in town! Have to try this restaurant if you haven’t! My must order every time is lamb chop (appetiser), lamb biryani (has different meat option as well) and mango lassi!!
