Prairie Fire at The Wood Lane Aches in Hammersmith and Fulham

We had a delicious and very filling meal here, by sharing one of their meat platters and adding extras like wontons and mac n cheese. Every items was perfectly cooked. They also made very decent grapefruit margheritas. The waitress very welcoming and helpful and all our food arrived very quickly. A shame there weren't a few more customers but we did go on a night with appalling weather.

We went last night for drinks with colleagues and received below average service from a bored teenager. What annoyed us the most was that they were sneakily adding service charge to every single transaction we made even though we went to order to the bar so the level of service they had to do was minimal. When called up on that the girl reluctantly took it off and since would not even speak to us or look at us. While I am more than happy to pay for good service I think being charge service charge for every single drink you order without the option of opting out is just a piss take. Fries were amazing - really nice seasoning but nachos were an embarrassment

We had lunch today at Prairie Fire in White City. Our order- a couple of Cowtown sandwiches, a side of Tater Tots and half a pint of lager. The portion of brisket was generous, slathered in bbq sauce and topped with molten cheese and an onion ring. I’m not sure sure the brisket came just off the smoker but it was tender and the burnt end gave a nice texture. The dry rub on the tater tots added a nice flavour for sure. I noticed that the menu did not mention “USDA Beef” (which is written on the website)? Our total bill for 2 was just over £50.

Stumbled upon this place when my friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn’t a chain and wasn’t a glorified watering hole for the pretentious simply because of the proximity of Television Centre. Prairie Fire was super treasure to find. The food was great, tasty, priced well in a way that matched the food to the equal delight of my wallet and as well as my tastebuds. The owners were friendly, welcoming, knew all about the food and drink that they had on offer and refreshingly spoke well to their staff and gave credit to them too instead of taking all the credit themselves. My friend and I chatted with the husband who was a great craic, and gave us our fries free of charge when he realised that he had missed it off from our order. It was clear that they all work hard to make a friendly and welcoming place with great food, drink and atmosphere. Well worth going to and will seek out Prairie Fire when I find myself in Shepherd’s Bush.

Probably one of the best burgers and BBQ style food I’ve ever had. Service was great and they have a very decent range of beers. Will certainly be back!

I’m from Kansas City. I live there now. It is the BBQ capital of the world. I’ve eaten at every bbq spot in KC. They’re all really amazing. Prairie Fire is better than all of them. No question. Traditional brisket: unrivaled. Pulled Pork: 1st Place. Wings: dynamite. Burgers and dogs: winner. Sides: order as many as you can handle.

This place is ace! It needs to be sorted by everyone in white city as the food is amazing and the beers are even better. It was quiet when we visited (midweek), but the service was excellent, and, oh my word, the burgers....... The for of us had different ones and every one of them was exceptional. The fries were on a different level, this is excellent food and the chef is a genius! I don't quite many reviews, but this place is worth the effort!!

Great BBQ food and a great selection of craft beers. Had the classic cheeseburger and a brisket bbq bun along with some sides. All the food was real authentic BBQ. Owner was really friendly and told us a bit about the restaurant. Stop wasting your money in restaurants in Westfield and come here.

We stubbled on this restaurant by accident and were delighted with our discovery. A wide range of independent beers. And great simple food. Just outside Westfield it’s a much better alternative to chains and a food court. Well worth a visit.

The food was nice but there was an unpleasant surprise at the end. When we asked for the bill, it stated that there was a "discretionary service charge" of 12.5 %. The waiter brought a machine for contactless payment, which gave the option to add a certain percentage as service charge. Believing this was the "discretionary service charge", we picked the option to add 10%, which we thought was enough as the food was not exactly cheap (e.g., £10.22 for a fairly basic burger). We paid and left. Only later, when I compared the bill and the receipt, it turned out that we had paid both the 12.5% "discretionary service charge" as well as 10% service charge over the entire bill (which included the 12.5% "discretionary service charge"). This means that we had paid almost £9 more than we intended to. Not enough to make the trip back there to complain but enough to write this review to warn other customers.

Tasty food with interesting and varied sauces and spices, great AC and unfailingly super friendly staff. Everyone is English but it still feels like America, in all the best ways. Have been often since COVID and love it!

We had a wonderful warm welcome and a really lovely lunch. The food was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The cider was fantastic too! Thankyou to Winnie for the fantastic service with a smile. We look forward to visiting again

I had the KC Classic brisket sandwich. Pretty good - nicely barbecued meat. Tenderised. Not a huge portion so probably you might need a side of fries. Only quibble is the price which seems slightly steep to me. Would definitely return and maybe try a burger.

Ordered on deliveroo, half the meal was missing and after contacting for a rescheduled delivery they then sent me cold food. It's evident that half the food was left in a separate bag on the counter and when they were contacted by deliveroo to say the items were missing they grabbed the bag and sent it over even though it was cold and sitting on the counter. Refused to provide a refund. £11.77 for a burger that was delayed and cold. Really bad experience all round and ended up having to make my own food at home.
