Pound Bakery in Conwy

Gave this little bakery a try whilst in Llandudno recently. 2 Sausage Rolls for £1, small minced beef and onion slices x2 £1, Carrot Cake x2 good sized slices £1. Quality is good, price is low and staff good too....well worth visiting.

Visited the bakery to buy a picnic lunch for our long homeward journey. Service was quick and efficient and excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed the sausage rolls, crisps, cakes and drinks.

Good food and very reasonably priced. However social distancing wasn't enforced. We waited patiently outside owing to the 'no more than 3 customers at once' sign. Then while being served about 10 people piled in behind us, and not a word from the staff.

i buy bread rolls from here 2/3 times a week when i last called in the price of 6 rolls had increased by 75p in these difficult times this sort of thing should be clamped down on in future i will buy eleswhere as i hope does everyone that reads this disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good value and variety , fresh just baked and sandwichs made in house , and good for us vegetarians

This bakery is on the high street and is a very good place to get hot and cold food takeaway no place to eat inside shop plenty of choice with lunch offers if you just want to purchase cakes or pastry products for a pound each it’s good value they do hot soup and drinks hot and cold it’s a little gem.

Two pastries for a pound, we had a chicken slice, they are not large, but for us perfect and tasted delicious as well. Excellent value

Stopped for a quick cake purchase , bought the carrot cake and a take away coffee .cake was very good and freshly made with a cream frosting that was not too sickly

The flapjack is some of the best I’ve ever tasted and three pieces for £1 unbelievable. We also loved the carrot cake and chocolate cornflakes buns, all really tasty, fresh and well priced. The staff were lovely and helpful and the place was spotless. We couldn’t fault it.

Great bakery for a cheap lunch. All products are very freshly made and tasty.Just love visiting pound bakeries.

With such an extensive breakfast and evening meal supplied in our hotel this was just the right place to pick up snacks to eat on the promenade in one of the shelters or on the many seats along the promenade. Really good value for money

Had pit stop to buy cakes to take back to hotel. The price is a £ how can you go wrong. Nice service. Clean and friendly.

Very handy if you wanted a quick bite to eat or weren't very hungry and only wanted a snack. They also have veggie options.

Good cheap place for a quick bite to eat , all products freshly baked or sandwiches made on are fresh too, as I am vegatian a good range of non meat choices as well

i often pop in for lovely fresh bread and cakes at very reasonable prices.the shop is very busy and can sell out of some items by mid afternoon very good value.

Great for Sandwiches etc ,especially when on coach tours..Well worth going ,even for just a bun .Good quality and they dont skimp on portions

Best value eats in Llandudno great for a quick snack.They have put the prices up recently but you can still eat certain products for a pound.

Very surprised to find one of these in Llandudno. IF you are on a budget and like value for money-then LOOK NO FURTHER! this is a good place to acquire takeaway goodies for lunch and even for taking back to your "hostelry" in the evening without hurting "the pocket"

I got my lunch here every day of my holiday. I had a sausage roll, cake and a carton of drink all for £1.

Well what a pleasant surprise. Sometimes you think some things that are a little bit cheaper are not always as good. Well this is not the case at the pound bakery. steak bake and cheese and onion pasties. Second to none. Value for money great.

Went into the shop which is clean and busy . Very efficient staff coping with high volume trade. I bought a slice of cheese on toast and a meat pasty . My wife bought a meat pasty . The pasties were piping hot and full of meat they were delicious. I have bought far more expensive pies that had far less meat. The cheese on toast was browned and I had seen some teenage girls eating them in the street and they looked fabulous. So I had one . It was very tasty and the cheese well flavoured not at all bland and delicious . Well pleased the two of ate for £3 in a city centre packed with locals and tourists

My husband was peckish, as usual,but did not want a full lunch, so we popped into the Pound Bakery-could not believe the prices-2 pasties for a pound! These were very tasty. We will call again

Hubby and I often walk past here as we are put off by the queue outside. However, on Wednesday afternoon it was relatively quiet so we popped inside and couldn't resist buying a pack of 2 x square-shaped vanilla custard slices. How much did they cost? A pound of course!

A most inexpensive sandwich shop selling hot and cold food, drinks, cakes, bread etc. Visited this shop every lunchtime during our week-long stay in Llandudno. Could not fault this shop for quality and value for money. At £1 for a chicken and stuffing roll, which was large, was very good!

food was well priced and very tasty . minced beef and onion pasties at 50p each were excellent also the ham salad bap was good value at £1 .

First time in this shop but it certainty won't be my last! Oh boy, what a shop of delights. We bought two strawberry tarts and two meat and potato pies. Walked to our bus stop but had wolfed the tarts before the bus came. Sadly not enough time to run for more. The pies too were super - even though they had cooled by the time we arrived home 2 1/2 hours later. At £1 for TWO they were extra special tasty bargains. More more more!!! Try there traditional pasties, blackcurrant tarts, and farmhouse cake.They are all very tasty. Go in and buy them.

Visited here a few times, staff are lovely, food is delicious and great value, even though it's always busy,the queue goes down quickly,which is great when kids are in a rush to get out .

Called a couple of times for lunch while staying nearby on a short break, good filled baguette & an apple tart for only £1.50 each for 2 people is very good to take back and enjoy in your hotel room. We even bought some mince pies to take home with us [25p each!] Bargain!

Called in to get a quick cheap lunch to take to eat on the promenade! Bought a pasty and sausage roll bothfor £1. Chicken mayo baguette £1 or £2 for the meal deal which includes a drink and a packet of crisps or cookie. Can't fault the value here gives Greggs massive competition!

Good choice of pies that provide cheap fuel on the go. Chose a £1 steak pie that was hot and tasty. There is a good selection available, as well as sandwiches etc

We could not believe this little shop, which we stumbled on by chance. Everything appeared to a pound, cakes, rolls, sandwiches. A great place to buy lunch.

3 of us on a mission, with not much time, popped in for a pie and snapped up the offer of 2 for a pound - 6 pies for £3 bargain of the week. The pies were tasty and filled a hole - can recommend

An alternate and cheap alternative to Greggs offering a range of Pasties, Cakes and sandwiches, not much more you can say.

Every time I have been there, I have always walked back out because they only ever seen to have sausage rolls and drinks available.

We were self catering in Llandudno and needed some supplies for lunch so called in for some bread rolls. Excellent value 2 packs of rolls for £1 (8 in total) and they tasted yummy.

I found this great shop and got my lunch from here every day whilst I was in Llandudno. If you like Greggs and be honest who doesn't you will like this shop.

If you want to grab an eat for the beach then this place should be your first stop. We were looking for a snack to go and this place has/had two pasties for a pound and they were great, pick up some fries nearby and you have a great snack for next to nothing.

Lots of cheap edible food and meal deals but only to take away and can get busy and sell out quickly of certain popular items

This is a cheap food outlet. There is a Pound Bakery in every town or city. You only get what you pay for. Try Gerrard's further down the road.More expensive but "Taste The Difference!"

We have visited this establishment on a few occasions for a midday snack. It does exactly what it says.

This is very good value for money, they sell pasties, sandwiches, buns cake etc. It is ideal for a snack on the go, the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Wow what wonderful choice and value. We have had quite a lot of things from here there pasty's are amazing our favourite's are the spicy ones but the cheese and onion ones are also very good.The sandwiches and baguettes are all full to the brim. The egg custards are delightful and the carrot cake oh so moist. How they do such quality for such low prices beats me but please keep it up.

The sandwiches were really good with plenty of filling & a good variety of bread. We bought our packed lunches there every day & were impressed by freshness, quality & variety. Pis & pasties were also good. Can't believe they sell for a pound what other shops charge up to 3 pounds for. Only negative was that staff could have been more polite.

lovely place full of character. If the weather is good you would think you were abroad. So clean and good bus links to other places of interest if you dont wish to drive.

cheese and bacon wrap is nice although they have now decided to not sell it past 11am where as the rest of the shops in the area (cafe next door / greggs over the road) have no problems selling them all day weird.

Good choice of food. The cobs(rolls) had good verity of content. We went for a granary cob which was delicious and ideal for our tea later on whilst travelling home. Excellent value for money £1

The food quality always amazes. If these can do it and clearly make a profit, then why cant other shops shave prices a bit!

Awful food, awful staff, yuk yuk yuk. All pastry and not much filling, dry and tasteless...like an even poorer mans Greggs.

What super value! Two for a pound when we visited and thoroughly delicious. Enjoy them on a seat on the Prom but watch the Seagulls and Jackdaws!

Brought from here and for the price it's a bargain, especially if feeding a few of you. I wasn't so keen, maybe just the item I had but staff very nice and very helpful. Great for those on a budget.

Excellent and cheap I go there if I'm in town I've got to say but I shouldn't the flap jacks are so nice and buttery as I said I shouldn't say as I don't want people to suddenly buy lots of them and leave me none the pies are good and cheap .

Tasty cheap snacks definitely not healthy eating as everything they sell is highly calorific. Easy to find on main shopping road

Easy reach from White House Hotel on sea front. Purchased great value snacks for home bound bus journey.

Just could not believe it is only 1 pound for each item, some like the cakes and certain pies are even 2 for a pound. I got 5 different baguettes and some pies for a family day out, 7 pounds done. Some of the baguettes could do with with a little more filling, but hey it is only 1 pound (could of got 2 I suppose). Simply great value and very quick service.

Well everything is one price and there are lots to choose from. enough to fill you up half way through the day

Hmmm? Sandwiches for a pound? I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. From the things we stocked up on for the journey home it was all very delicious, even the baguettes, and some even come as part of a meal deal. If someone were to ask you to blind taste test there is not any obvious difference to a sandwhich from Boots or Greggs.

Traditional pasties are very tasty, although pastry a little to thick, sandwiches are great value ,never liked carrot cake until I tried the ones from here they are great 2 for a £1.. bargain.... The extra thick bread they sell makes amazing toast.

As the name suggests, most items are just one pound. We had ham salad batons and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and amount of filling. Definitely worth a quid!

This is a great place to pick up lunch or cakes for the kids. It is good value and sells basic food.

The first time I went to the Pound Bakery I have to admit I did not expect much how can you sell cakes and pastries for £1 that are fit to eat? Well ok I stand corrected, The Pound Bakery is excellent. The top favourite in our house are the custard at 2 for a £1 and the largest in town and always consistantly good you just have to try them. Next favourite are the Apple Charlotte Tarts, scrumptious!! All the cakes are extremely good and as for the pastries the cornish pasties and the meditteranean turnover yum!!! All the pastries are 2 for a £1 how do they do it. If you are going on a picnic just don't bother buying all the ingredients and taking time to fill baguettes it is just not worth it, All Pound Bakery's filled baguettes are just a £1!! I could go on and bore you with all the prices but no just go in and look for yourselves at all the cakes, pasties, baguettes and bread on offer for value for money its the best in town, Well done Pound Bakery you certainly score well with our family.

Went in here for a munch to travel home with. Just as good as Greggs but half the cost. Good location on the high street.

I haven never come across one of theses before, so I was very impressed when I did, the food is good quality, and I could not believe that they where all only one pound!!! the same items in other bakery's cost nearly three pound! for the sandwiches and baguettes. They also offered a good selection of : pasties, sausage rolls, pizza, cakes and drinks. A bargain for just one pound!!!

Remember its a POUND bakery at the end of the day! And what you get for that pound is really good! I come here most work breaks, its cheap, nice food, good selection & really really friendly staff. I LOVE that they provide vegetarian sausage rolls. The carrot cake & snowball shortbread is lovely (gutted the latter is now out of season).

Not bad, the loaf cakes are very nice, especially the coconut one, but the other cakes and savoury items are somewhat substandard.

I'm sure the staff try, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for

Went and bought 2 large sausage rolls (hot) for £1 could not believe the prices that this shop charged sandwiches all £1 pies, pasties etc great value

Could not eat the pie purchased would not go in the shop again. Not much meat in the pie but you only get what you pay for

I bought myself a Mexican chicken baguette from Pound Bakery at the weekend (it cost me a pound). In the past I've had "Mexican" baguettes from other places that have failed to live up to expectations but this one really hit the spot. The baguette was packed full of jalapenos that really provided a kick. It's not for anyone with a delicate stomach but if you like your sandwiches spicy this might just be the one for you.

We purchased lunch from Llandudno's new Poundbakery today - a chicken pasty, a chicken fajita pasty and two kids meal deals comprising sausage roll, cake & drink - for the grand sum of £3.00. The food was tasty enough and kids even got free bucket and spade sets with their meals (I'm assuming this is a promotional offer as the shop has only just opened). The only downside was the queue which started on the pavement and weaved it's way right through the shop but the staff worked very efficiently to keep the queue moving. It can't have been pleasant viewing for the staff in Greggs, which is almost directly opposite, seeing their new competitors drawing in so many customers but unfortunately Greggs can't compete either on price or on the variety of food on offer in Poundbakery so it's a sight they're going to have to get used to.
