Great spot for tea You can sit in or takeaway The staff are friendly and the service is quick. We came two nights in a row and both times the food didn't disappoint! Prices are reasonable and the eating area was clean and tidy

Very expensive for what you get. Battered fish was very greasy but the chips were OK. £16 for 2 small cod and chips seems a bit over priced.

Nice food service a little slow don't do yoghurt sauce 2 donna chips and 1 scallop and chips 2 cans of coke £24 bit expensive but a clean place

Stopped here one evening for a chippy dinner. Ordered 2x fish, chips & Peas and it didn't disappoint. Big fish and plenty of chips which were not dripping in fat. I would definitely revisit if I'm ever in the area again.

Ordered large fish and chips to take out 8pm Thursday, chips lovley but fish was non existent. Overloaded batter and fish was like rubber! Not worth the £12 I paid!! Wish I could upload the photo i have to show the batter v fish quantity..! Shop won't refund 😕 *updaate* had response from "owner" as per below, UNSATISFACTORY! Doesn't rectify us out of pocket for inadequate food we had to purchase elsewhere!!

Some of the best if not the best chippy chips iv ever had in my life, I'm a fat kid and I love chippy teas. So trust me when I say absolute belters.

The shop is spotlessly clean, there is no smell of old cooking oil being used to fry the chips, The food is really nice, tasty and fully cooked. I have a family of seven, walked in, ordered, allsorts of things with five fussy kid's from pie, fish, chicken strips, doner kebab to the mega box of mixed kebab meat that is that large you have your chips served in a separate box!! 12 inch Garlic cheese pizza, and was walking out the door with my order, with nothing missing in around 5 to 6 minutes!! I first used this chip shop in 2022 and have ever since every time we are holidaying in the Rhyl/Towyn area. The food is always fantastic and reasonably priced for a seaside town, No complaints from the kid's or me and the Mrs with tum problems or unedible food! Jas chippy, whatever you do please don't change it!! You have found the perfect combination of portion sizes, various food styles and above all reasonable pricing for ordinary working families.. If I could give you a higher rating I would! Thank you from my family and myself. Well done.

Absolutely brilliant "proper" chip shop, worth a visit just for the chips!! Pricing very fair and service was fast also.

Was in North wales for a weeks holiday. During this week we probably visited about 4 times. All food was delicious, good service. Staff were friendly! Great value. Definitely recommend!!!

Food was lovely Came in a good time Nice sized portions Menu could have been made easier to understand with dinners (meal deals) been more expensivr and individual prices been cheaper when ask the difference the staff member wasn't sure of my question It was always busy when I passed during the week

Fish had sloppy batter, and the thin fish was dry. Chips under cooked. Personally, I would not recommend it here and will not be returning.

Now it’s called JA’s, wish I looked at the reviews, looks good from outside driving past but wish I never went, overpriced, greasy and undercooked food, and some of the portion sizes are really tight, even getting curry on 2 of the 3 meals, no idea where it went, I guess it must have evaporated on the drive back to the caravan park. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs. I would have added pics but went right in the bin.

Food was OK, prob one of the better ones in the area. Prices were expensive as u would expect in the area. Got back to ty Mawr Park to find there was no mushy peas on my fish and chips 🫣🥺

Absolutely avoid. Warmed up hard sharp chips, fish was passable. Asked for Barms and got brioche buns ! Eww , most went in the bin. Not cheap either which was expected but wholly disappointed 🤢🤮😡. Had to put one star to write the review .....

Friendly staff. Nice and clean. Plenty of tables and toilet facilities for customers. We got fish and chips and chips with curry was very nice. Will visit next time.

Lovely chips, fast service and clean.

Loved the food proper fish and chips. Surprised how few fish and chip shops there are around the area that aren't Chinese or other kinds of take away that have fish an chips as a bolt on. Food was spot on, open when many other take aways were closing or just closed. Thanks folks for a lovely meal

The fish was fresh, the batter wasn't greasy, and it tasted amazing. The chips were beautiful and fluffy. Well worth a visit.

Amazing. Pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday it is very clean and nice. However it is also very expensive and the food was awful. Chips were disgusting.

Way too much salt vinger every time I go

Each time me and my family have been we’ve never had a bad experience here. Food is always hot and the service is speedy. Loads of room to sit inside and outside too. Great location too. Next time we are in Towyn we’ll be back.

Had a Pie and Chips box.... Really nice lunch. Fast, efficient and friendly staff. Did pop back to say how we enjoyed our spot of lunch. Decent value and could eat inside or out.

Best seaside fish and chips I've had in a longtime resonably priced quality products, if I'm ever in Towyn again this place will be visited on multiple occasions.

Fish batter was bright yellow and soft. Gawd knows what it's made of. Fish was nice tho! Best tea ever. No stars deducted for the screaming kid whose parents didn't know what to do.

We had cod and chips that were very tasty and well presented. We actually ordered a pot of peas and curry sauce but got gravy instead of the curry sauce. Still no complaints as it was the best chip shop gravy we've had for a long time. Staff we're polite and it didn't take long for the food to be served

Happy my family found this Halal take away. Eat here 3 times in 4 days it was great food. Very clean resturant and friendly/ professional staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the kebab, chips, pizza, zinger chicken burger all fresh and 5 star taste! Highly recommend for you to try this take-away.

Great place. Food was always delicious and service was fast and efficient. Staff were always polite and quick to get your order prepared. We visited 4 times and will visit again on our next trip to Towyn.

I’m currently sat in there at time of writing ordered a large fish and chips with a bottle of water which come to just under £10 excellent value for money and i will say how delicious they were and probably the best I’ve tasted in a long while would definitely recommend and hope to visit again

Welcomed as soon as we walked in it was a lovely atmosphere. We ordered and the food was brought to us. As its a takeaway it was served as a takeaway ie.. in the box with plastic cutlery. This wasn't a problem or an issue obviously this keeps costs down. The food was delicious and there was a decent amount ( which is rare these days). We will definately going here again, sitting in or takeaway.

The beat fish and chips in Towyn, I love that their chips are cooked fresh. It is quite expensive but i get its a tourist area so that's what you expect. The staff were lovely and we nearly always visit when we are in the area.

Very disappointing had fish and chips with my sister fish was very dry and chips was cold and shriveled cost me £20 for 2 lot's of fish and chips and 2 tea's we ate inside out of the carton and small plastic knife and forks for the price you'd think at least you would have got decent cutlery not worth the money left most of the food 😢

Pleasant staff, clean establishment, nice food too

Just been there now for a late lunch and had a lovely pie, chips and gravy. Chips were freshly fried, pie oven cooked (so not soggy like microwaved ones get) and lovely thick gravy!! Friendly staff too!

Wow. Amazing food! Lovely staff, lady on till taking orders could not be more helpful.... she needs a payrise! We would definately travel out again just for the pizza.

The young lad who dealt with us was really nice, friendly and helpful. The chip shop itself was really nice and clean. The food was really nice as well. Overall, couldn't fault the place would definitely return.
