I only wish I had a pound bakery near me. I have to drive 4 hours for my nearest and everything is incredible. The baguettes are so fresh and cheap at £1.50 and the bavarian slice and strawberry tarts are out of this world. They are cheap but the quality and taste are amazing. So annoyed that I can only have this as a holiday treat

Great value, great food, friendly staff! Lots of choice, prices are right, my favourite is the vegetarian sausage roll and Mediterranean slice!

Got caught out by some revised prices, added another 40p to the sale. Still good thought, love the sausage rolls when the pastry is slightly soft. I’m sure they are shrinking in size though.

The pound bakery is a phenomenon! Two hot sausage rolls for a £1. Three mini Pork pies for a £1. 6 bread rolls for £1.... but then things get confusing... a sandwich for £1.50. I could complain to the trades descriptions people... but then I would be the one losing out because this is value for money gone Krazeee..! You can get meal deals and I even have a loyalty card to add to the savings. This has to be the cheapest bakery in the country! and its all fresh too. Fair play the buttys are not as quality as some I could compare to... but that would be like comparing a Skoda to a BMW. and there ain't nothing wrong with a Skoda, especially if you are trying to save up for a BMW.

The pies sold by the Pound Bakery are excellent value for money. The pastry is good and the fillings adequate. Theough at £1 for 2 obviously not best steak. The Bavarian slices are as good or better than similar ones sold at higher prices by other bakeries..

Plenty of pies to choose from, sausage rolls, Cornish pasties , tea cakes ,and cakes packed into two's, they have hot drinks cold drinks, really a good choice for lunches on the go, or to take home for lunch or evening meals.

Good location. Plenty of pasties and sandwiches on offer. Would be nice to see more vegetarian options. Plenty of treats too, usually gingerbread men and various cakes. No seating so all food is to go. Ok for a quick lunch or snack.

Discovered the Hidden Garden over a year ago now and it’s one of my favourite places to go. Great coffee (no additional charges for milk alternatives), beautiful views and dog friendly! The little treats they serve your dog are an added bonus (no charge either!) my pooch loves a visit. We have been in all weathers, although most of the seating area is outside there are some wonderful covered nooks to curl up with blankets galore and even a pizza stove burning logs to keep you warm in the winter. The cakes and food are delicious and the additional pop up food stalls they host are brilliant. Highly recommend for a cosy catch up away from the high street bustle.

Just revisited Cafe Jardin ( formerly called " Peace , Love & Cake " ) in Royton , Oldham , for a late breakfast / early lunch !! Food as lovely as ever - I had rhe hot roast beef muffin off the " Specials " board - great service too - the owners really look after you and make you feel welcome . Immaculately clean , easy to park right behind it - we will be visiting again soon , I am sure. Thank you 😁

Good food and drinks here. The staff are attentive and friendly. The location is convenient with parking close by. Millie looked after us very well. The high ceilings, outside spaces and dog friendly nature of the coffee house were the main draw but the Quesadillas are superb. Surprised it was so quiet on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Maybe the locals keep this gem a secret so they can always get a table. Joking apart I ll be back to try the chocolate Guinness cake .

Stopped to have a glance at the menu as decided on Sunday breakfast out. Chatting away to a chap, the owner I think, made to feel very welcome. Good choice of different dishes, decided on the Rarebit and "A Bit Of Both On Toast", which was lovely cheese and homemade baked beans. Both were delicious and good coffee to boot. And our furry companions loved the fussing and the doggie menu! Planning a return visit soon for Sunday lunch!
