Whatever you do, do not book this person for a catering event for a village festival which raises money for charity. We had booked him almost a year in advance. We had correspondence a few days before the event asking how many people were coming etc. Then on the day he just didn’t show up. I had to contact him asking if he’d forgot and whether we would expect him he said he was having a few difficulties but would contact me to let me know when he would arrive. Nothing! He wouldn’t asked messages or his phone and didn’t contact us at all. We were left with 100’s of disappointed hungry people who left the event early to get food elsewhere. Completely unreliable and since then spoken to a couple of other people who have booked him for their events, he’s done he same to them. Unprofessional and a time waster.

An absolute gem, I can't recommend Chef Matei highly enough. Great communication from booking through to the event, which kept my mind at ease. Very professional throughout, a great team to work with. The food was incredible and I had nothing but good feedback from my colleagues. So glad to have found him and will be keeping his details on file for future events!

The best Hotshot Parmo I've ever had. Surprised how nice it was inside. A must for people of Sunderland to visit. Located in the old Pallion WMC.

Have been many times and never a issue except last night the food is amazing so was very disappointed when we arrived yesterday waited 15 minutes for a drink which sat on the bar poured for 10 which we ended up go and collecting ourselves when our food order was finally taken we sat around for another hour and 20 minutes waiting on food coming before canceling our order due to being told they couldn’t give us a waiting time on food coming out . Very disappointed with the fact that customers in the restaurant were made to wait nearly 2 hours for food when the steady flow of just eat drivers were delivering plenty of takeaway orders which seemed to take priority over everything else

Went to the food stall in morpeth today, had belly pork kebab with no coriander which was no problem. Absolutely delicious couldn't fault it thank you.

Badly organised, no prawns or steak at 7.30 in the evening , pork more fat than meat. Staff stressed and didn’t know what they were doing. Service stopped for 20 minutes for a bit of rain!

An absolutely fantastic experience with Chef Matei Baran @poshstreetfood . My two children attended a cookery class at the restaurant, where they enjoyed learning and preparing their own meal. Chef has a lovely personality and sense of humour which created a lovely atmosphere for everyone. The children learnt about preparation, cooking, tips, marketing, recipe ideas and were encouraged to try new flavours. A fantastic experience, which my children can’t wait to try again next week!! #BigChefMinichef They also loved the aprons and most importantly the mouth watering creations! Thank you Chef 🙌

Been meaning to try this place for a while, so when we went to the coast for the day it was a perfect excuse to do just that. I had the Tandoori Chicken Kebab and my partner had the Parmo Burger. OMG both dishes were exceptional, and the flavours of the Tandoori Chicken were second to none, the smokiness tasted like it had been cooked in a tandoor. I can't recommend this place enough, if you are in Seaburn and fancy a treat then make sure you pop in.

Went to Seaburn last night and have had enough fish and chips to last a lifetime, so decided to give Posh Street Food a bash. It’s near Stack on the main road. They’ve got a massive menu, made it hard to choose, but eventually I picked a parmo kebab. Only ever had a parmo in Middlesbrough and it was lush, so had high hopes for this, as it was supposed to be a posher version. It was a big portion when it came and had a creamy cheesy sauce on the base. Never had anything like it, it was absolutely delicious. The flatbread it was on was posh too but the parmo itself was the best, dead crispy and chicken still moist. Will be back there very soon.

We wanted to celebrate our 40th Ruby wedding anniversary at home, so when we read Chef Matei Baran’s bio, we thought he would be a good choice of chef to cook for us. Right from the start communication via email then telephone, offering us different menus and options, was excellent. We were catering for 75 people and the three menu choices we decided upon were from a long list on the hot fork buffet. Beef Goulash, Vegetable Marsala(vegan)and Baked Haddock. Followed by a delicious dessert of Brioche pudding and custard! Matei arrived promptly 3 hours before serving, while our guests arrived. The food and friendly service from Matei and his three staff, was exceptional and flowing. So many friends came up to say how delicious the food was, especially the goulash, which I thought would be a good choice. But the vegetable Marsala was entirely perfect too, the sauce was delicious with a little bite of heat and so fresh and flavoursome. The vegetables being cut finely yet still al dente made the dish so delicious! There was nothing left from the fish dish either. Thank you so so much Matei! It’s the first time we’ve hired a professional chef, and would recommend him unreservedly to others! 🙏

Our family were staying over for a few days in the Seaburn Inn, and we joined them to take the kids to the amusements. We literally stumbled across Posh Street Food, and we were so glad that we did. The presentation, the quality, and the sheer flavours of the food were out of this world. Everything, including the service, was absolutely first class. If you fancy something just a little different, give it a try.

Visited yesterday and was thrilled we did. Food choices exceeded expectations. Had three different kebabs, IPA beers and brownies. Matei came out to chat with us. Staff very welcoming. It is a great spot on seashore.

Had the lamb kofta! Best I’ve ever had. So many layers of flavour! It had it all. Beautiful lamb, it was really moist and definitely made in house.. The salad garnish of yoghurt dressing and sweet red cabbage was a delight.. I’ll definitely be returning soon to experience more! Thank You 🙌🏻

Ordered the chicken parmo kebab. Super tasty and a perfect size for one person. Also really lovely, friendly staff.

Visited their French taster evening and was highly impressed with the atmosphere that was created and even more, with the food I received. The quality of the food presented was worth above and beyond what I payed for the ticket for the event. It made me want to come back to try some of their Kebabs too and, again, the food has exceeded my expectations, definitely the best street food restaurant I've tried, such an unique concept.

Tried a couple times already and always left very satisfied, especially with their Parmo Kebab and the King Prawn kebab. The food came presented very nicely but it tasted even better, the service was on point, staff is very friendly and helpful. And also was very impressed with the interior, the full wall art piece is a great addition to the restaurant and created a lovely atmosphere. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend.

Absolutley amazing food, I got the king prawn kebab, shell on and some shell off......I will be craving this until my next visit....other half got the combo kebab and inhaled it...get yourself down there if you haven't already! If they sold the shell on prawns...
