The food was very good. We had cod, rock and Jambo battered sausage, all with chips. The lady taking the order was so happy and enthusiastic. We also took her recommendation and tried the battered pineapple fritters with syrup, which again were very good.

Can't fault the place....or should that be plaice?! Love the app Love the quality of food Love the service Staff are great and friendly Choice is awesome If there was an award for a fish and chip takeaway that had everything bang on, this place should win it. This is an excellent establishment and staff are friendly and very helpful. A very good menu and prices displayed so you know what to order and cost are kept up to date. Fish is fresh and excellent. The fish being cooked to order means a little wait but with chairs provided waiting is not an issue. Paying by card is simple or paying by cash. Food containers keep food reasonably hot and carrier bag made of paper for recycling ♻ is an added bonus. So far food not swimming in grease. Cooked well and the light batter enhances the flavour. Offering wide choice including not fish options good. Website and telephone ordering also available. Best fish and chip shop in ipswich.

Great hot fresh food every single time. Good prices too. The tartare sauce is perfection.

Had 1/2 pound burger and chips and hubby fish and chips and it was Brill tasty fresh chips were still crispy when got home highly recommended

Walked in to place to order and the large lady at the counter who was taking orders and preparing food SPAT either some food or gum into her hand ,I could not belive it yes she put a quick small bit of hand sanitiser on her hand but that just put me right off ,if she does that infront of customers what does she do when they aren't looking

Hello well we had just done abit of shopping in asda and on are way home thought ohhhh fancy some fish and chips never been here before so thought we would give it a try. On first glance looked very clean and nice inside. The young lad was polite and asked what we would like so we glanced at the menu board. Unfortunately the woman who also stood beside him decided it was acceptable to spit something out of her mouth in her hand then throw it in the bin then rub a bit of hand gel on her hands and then shake the baskets with chips cooking . We wasn't the only people in there there was some customers waiting for there orders. We then told them that we won't be ordering and what we just saw her do and walked out. On getting in the car we noticed they where laughing. I'm sorry but it's totally disgusting to spit something in your hand while cooking food and infront of customers as well just makes me wonder what she does when no customers there. I would never ever go back she didn't even except what she did was wrong either. So to the manager/owner of this establishment shame one of your staff has no hygiene ethics as it did look nice

Food ok, was working locally and was recommended to this place for food, had better fish and chips eles where but was cooked fresh, this maybe the best around so go and try.

A new chippy and it's very impressive. The store is very well presented and has a great menu. The food is cooked to order and tastes all the better for it. Hope these guys do well, because a great fish and chip shop is hard to find.

I was one of their first customers and I often take my daughter for a bag of chips. She is always asking me to go get some chips with her and she'll like to sit there and eat a few first before leaving. One thing that is great is the lay out and the selection also drinks, never have to wait too long and it's never too greasy

So thought I would try this place a couple of times before I left any kind of review. First time I tried fish and chips from here they became my new goto lovely batter on the fish and really tasty chips. Crispy and fluffy just how I like them. Second time not so great at all. Fish was OK but has very high end prices so would expect better and the chips where not great at all. Dry and tastesless just not very enjoyable at all (did get loads) Considering the price is now at the highend 2x large cod, 2x medium cod 2x chips £38 I don't think I will rush back. Nothing better than great fish and chips but nothing worse than overpriced non enjoyable fish and chips.

It's a shame they are using frozen chips rather than traditional chips. The large fish is much smaller than their rivals in Greenfinch Ave and not as tasty.

Went for the first time, as advised, was a good chipy. Chips were fantastic, and loads of them (medium portion) Good service as well

They're superb. They made me a 'special' burger, really took an interest in making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted, and now they're our regular place. Special burger: Double cheese with homemade burger sauce, lettuce, onion, and sliced gerkins... ask nicely, and they MAY make you one. Perfect chips, lovely fish, even the vegetarian options are superb. Definitely try them out.

Chips were burnt and dry, fish was not fried fresh. Won't be back.

Best fish and chip in years!! Called in as was recommended by a work colleague saying the food was delicious and they weren’t wrong!! Super friendly staff and the Saturday evening treat did not disappoint.. 10/10 brilliant.

Had to go to the dentist on Stoke park today. Afterwards I went into porters fish and chip shop. Next door staff are very polite, lovely, staff, very clean, tidy and only open about 14 weeks. Ask for cod, chips, curry sauce. They put it in a box. Salt vinegar, went out in the car and opened it, curry sauce is very nice. Spicy lots of it. Fish was very crispy batter. Beautiful white! Well cooked. Absolutely gorgeous, the chips. Well they were to die for, Very crispy outside fluffy inside beautiful texture dipped in the curry sauce. A piece of fish. Absolutely gorgeous! If you're ever in Stoke park and you want a good fish and chips try it. That's amazing

Came here to order and the lady behind the counter taking orders was absolutely amazing! So friendly and energetic and smiling the whole time and interacting with all customers even when it was getting busy. ( Forgot to ask her name ) Best customer service I have ever had and the food is so good.

Quality fish & chips, fish is a little more expensive than others around but worth every penny, not many times I bother to write a review but when your cooking this legendary food and it's this good I couldn't not - be returning very soon, p.s what's in the seafood basket?

Without a doubt the best chips & gravy I've had in East Anglia.

Fast and efficient online ordering for pick up in the shop. Clean shop and friendly staff but our haddock was very thin, dry and tasteless. Will maybe try again and order the cod.

First time trying this chip shop and ordered online, I was very disappointed in the food and service. As we walked in they were getting someone's order wrong so I should have known, I was given a burger instead of chicken and when I rang they said I hadn't got a burger even though I was looking at it! I took it back and they ignored me as I walked in and took a phone call instead of acknowledging I was there, I heard them say its the lady for the chicken, I was not happy and I told them so, I also suggested that when handing the order to the customer that they repeat the order then mistakes wouldn't happen. I said I had just wanted to sit down and relax with my meal, not have to drive back to change my order, to that I was told well you have new chips as if that made up for the inconvenience!

Wow just had our first fish & chip meal from are new Stoke Park shop and we were so well impressed with the quality of the food, the staff were so friendly, the price was also excellent value! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, we will definitely be using it now we’ve tried, it’s so nice to have a real quality shop on our doorstep 👏😋
