Best omelettes and pancakes ever! Friendly service! Great prices!

The place is clean and the service is good and friendly but they are the only positive points. The food is extremely poor. Starting with the lowest quality ingredients. Fatty bacon, very low meat content sausages, ultra mild tasteless cheese, baked bean soup and budget teabags. Add to this the lack of skill in the cooking. Anemic bacon, greasy and soggy hashbrowns, chips that taste solely of oil and a serious lack of spinach in the cheese and spinach omelette. All in all just about the worst food experience I've had in a long time. I don't ever expect too much from a cafe but this place was shockingly poor. Three poor meals with three cups of tea for just under £32, I definitely won't be rushing back.

I was down in London for a funeral recently And was wondering where I would go for breakfast after travelling down on the bus from Inverness overnight And I remembered Poppins in Sutton, somewhere I used to visit regularly whilst living near Sutton, And I was so happy to see that this excellent 5* restaurant is as I remembered They gave an amazing menu, the staff are brilliant so friendly and welcoming I had a large breakfast with add ons which was superb Just wished I lived nearer so I could pop in more often Simply put, if your in Sutton there is only 1 place you need go

I have been visiting Poppins for 7 years and can safely say they are one of the best cafe's I've been to. Since day one, the staff have always welcomed us in with smiles. The food is very tasty and they always make sure you're happy with your choice. I first visited Poppins with my mum when I was 16 and now I visit with my 2 children. A great cafe and their ice cream is on point!

Poppins is a clean, well-run cafe with nice food. The staff are friendly and it's not an expensive place to eat. They are good with children and the menu is quite extensive. I always enjoy eating there.

why I like poppins food is always hot and the drivers make sure the food time unlike some other food places

We always come here when we are visiting our family in Sutton. We have been coming here for years now. The service is excellent, the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Without fail they always remember us, and treat us like long lost friends. The food is delicious. The milkshakes they do are out of this world, one of the best ones I have ever had. I have to have one every time we come here. When we come here sometimes there is 6 of us or 9 of us at times, and each time the food comes out piping hot and really quick. Service is always with a smile. They interact with our children that we have with us and make them feel right at home. Highly recommend this place if you haven’t been here before.

Really good to have the place back. It's a greasy spoon done well.

We have visited it today for the first time. The personal is nice but the food is not good at all. It is my first time to try such bad and untasty panckakes. The Big breakfast was also not good. I didn't ate the pankaces at all.

Also went to "the breakfast club" but this one was much nicer and at least as good. Coffee was surely better. And services too! (And much friendlier prices 🤭)

Ordered a tuna & cheese panini. It was tasty, plenty of filling and came with fresh salad. Arrived on time. Perfect lunch thank you.

Honestly the best cafe I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going there with my partner for 10 years now and we both love it! The food is amazing, generous portion sizes and really friendly staff. Can’t fault Poppins at all 🥰. They always know we order a chicken burger (with lettuce!) with chips and beans and a number 2 with fried bread 😂.

Met up with a couple of friends for Sunday brunch, before our Afternoo n boat party.

Delicious food and speedy service. I got the all day breakfast and it was perfect. I had it with a cappuccino and thought I'd treat myself to apple pie and custard. All of it was lovely. My only issue is that the workers were cleaning a lot in or around my table and I felt rushed and in the way, which put me off a bit. Which is why I can't give a perfect rating.

Food was very tasty and nicely warmed, salad was crisp and fresh, was dubious as only had one review but will definitely use again!

Went to Poppins in Sutton again yesterday for our family full English breakfast. The food was so good. Very good value for money. My daughter had a vegetarian breakfast which was great value for money. Very nice friendly staff. Food is very good, which is why I keep on going back for more.

I am so happy you are back! You were sorely missed by the entire sutton community. This is business run by a family and has been the same people for over 20/25 years now. They remember your name and are always bubbly and happy to chat. They’re basically family at this point after going there for so long. The food is great quality and very reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed visiting Poppins. Good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and pleasant ambience (comfortable seating and nice decor). Did not have to wait long to be served and for food to arrive. Ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise, and another with bacon and beans. Would recommend a visit here.

My nephew loves the kids menu with the cool names. The staff always remember our names and always make an effort to chat and have a joke. The burger is the best best one he’s ever had, with a nice slightly crispy bun .

Poppins was closed for a while. Glad to see it has reopened. My friends treated me to lunch there because the kids liked it. Very welcoming, family friendly, busy too. The cafe menu was not expensive, the children's portions appreciated. My Spanish omeltte was super. They didn't rush us. The food did come swiftly, but turnover is fast here. Very cheerful and attentive in house team. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks!

Good breakfast menu of bacon,poached egg & chips. (Can usually get tomato if ordered). Ice cream with/without sauce. Always a good cup of tea. Female or diet restricted orders could be a little smaller. Friendly atmosphere. Close friend enjoyed pancakes & sprite while I had lemon meringue & whipped cream with tea. Good company there. Younger menu options Good.
