Myself, Husband, Son and youngest Daughter went to visit my other Daughter in Carshalton and she treated us to lunch, the restaurant is beautiful, the staff were very attentive, polite and friendly, I had the Arriabata and everyone else had Pizza, my Husband, Son and Daughter said the Pizza was the nicest they've ever had and the Arriabata was so flavourful, I would highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant if they visit Carshalton.

Ten of us had Sunday lunch for our Mothers birthday, we preordered and all was absolutely excellent, personal choice: Sea bass fillet, white wine,cherry tomato, capers olives, lemon sauce served with new patoatoes. Highly recommend.

The food was great for being so simple and the price wasn't too bad either. I was given the perfect amount for me and I ate enough for me to become full but not too much that there was still something left. I recommend for people who love Italian places.

Very nice place, I never ate pasta so hot and properly done as in this place. Staff was perfect, 2 people a man and a young girl and both working as a team. I definitely will make this my Italian restaurant every time when food is my priority.

We came here for a friends birthday, what a little gem in our local high street, I always thought it was just a takeaway, it has a lovely atmosphere and busy for a small place, staff were very attentive and so friendly. We had pre-ordered our food as there was 12 in our group, starters were delivered and consumed and we all enjoyed those and eagerly awaited our main courses and weren’t disappointed, big portions of tasty food. Our bill was covered by our host so I can’t say about the cost but for my partner and I for a starter and main course each and with 2 sides was approximately £50 - so reasonable. Drinks were slow to come out and wasn’t keen on having all the mixer in my drink but saying that it was a busy Saturday evening and the waitresses didn’t stop, a credit to your restaurant.

I've been coming here regularly for lunch at the weekend - great little place - reasonably priced, good quality food in decent portions - great pizzas, had the tagliatelle special yesterday which was delicious (as was the melazane) but also a fan of the chicken Milanese. Very satisfied customer.

Can't say for in house experience, but ordered as a takeaway and was blown away with how nice it was, great size portion on the Risotto with loads of mushrooms and the pizza & garlic bread were both absolutely lovely, no grease in the boxes at all. Look forward to coming to try some time!

As soon as we entered Il Laghetto in Carshalton, we were warmly welcomed! The surroundings & ambience are lovely. We had a 3 course meal, as it was my friend's birthday & I must say ALL the courses were delicious & served in good time. We will definitely be returning. Debbie x

Lovely evening at "il Laghetto". Food was excellent as always, the staff was friendly and polite. Atmosphere was good and with Christmas spirit despite one table being rude to staff and argumental with other customers. Definitely will be back.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL EATING HERE YOU COULD BE FOOD POISONED BY THEIR FOOD! Terrible experience. There were 5 of us. Two of us had the seafood linguine. It was served with the mussel shells being cold to the touch (not Luke warm ). As it is sea food we were concerned it was not cooked properly and could cause food poisoning! We spoke to our waitress who took it back to kitchen and bought it back. It had been microwaved, the inside of the mussels were hot but the shells were still cold We asked for a replacement dish and we're told that the kitchen was unable to do so for at least half an hour. We then asked to speak to the manager. We were told that the chef was the owner and would come see us in a minute. As he still hadn't come to see us 20 minutes later, we paid for the 3 people who did have a meal and left It was an awful experience, the food was mediocre, the 2 waiting staff were inexperienced, scared and one of them was unable to communicate effectively due to English not being their main language. The owner/chef didn't care that he was providing food that could poison customers. If I could have given this restaurant zero or minus numbers I would have.

Well my starters was good but from there everything went down hill. Mains took 30 minutes or longer to arrive. The sea food linguine turned up and mussels were cold. They took the linguine away and brought back 5 minutes later. The mussels were still cold on the outside and warm inside. Sent it back and was told whatever we order now will go to the bottom of the list as he's busy. Asked to see the chef was told he'll be out in a minute. Still waiting 15 minutes later. Despicable service. Unfortunately will not come back

Great little restaurant, wasn’t aware it was here. Went on a Thursday evening and it was quiet. Food was amazing, calamari to start and mushroom risotto.

Where else can you get a large glass of Prosecco for £6.50. Had bruschetta which was piled with fresh tomato and herbs. Plus veggie pasta which was huge with loads of veg Waitress was really quick and friendly despite being short staffed don’t know how she did it! Definitely be back

Large glass of Prosecco for £6.50. Bruschetta huge and piled with fresh tomato and herbs. No tomato paste used. Veggie pasta huge and full of fresh aubergines and other veg. Waitress really friendly and helpful and quick despite being on her own in a busy place. Didn’t have to wait though thought we would Best Italian I’ve been to in a long time. Will definitely return

Really tasty food with friendly service. It's great to have such a treat of a restaurant within walking distance and good to see it busy as well. I really enjoyed the prawn starter. I had chicken for my main and it was nicely presented, tasted good and was just the right portion size for me. My friend had the risotto which he said was delicious but very filling. We will be back.

Great food, great staff, please get the front door closer fixed, drafts are not pleasant hence 4 star. Also noisy due to a lack of acoustic sound adsorption with the decor.

Dined at this new opening recently for my wife's birthday. Warm and cosy atmosphere, staff made us feel welcomed, showed understanding in attending to our table to serve us. Food is great, and it's definitely a local Italian restaurant to consider.

Lovely place to have a pizza or a nice plate of pasta in Carshalton. Their pizza with artichoke is my favourite, but I also enjoyed the prosciutto and rocket pizza. The aubergine parmesan starter is delicious and the tiramisu at the end makes for a great meal. It's a must try restaurant in Carshalton for a chilled evening out.

First time at Il Laghetto. Took my Mum for an evening meal on a Saturday. Quite busy with a cosy atmosphere. Food was spot on, especially the pizzas! The staff were really friendly and attentive too. Will definitely be back

Saw this place when passing through Carshalton and someone also recommended it. Visited on a week night, so it was quiet and we walked straight in without booking.. The food was lovely and really good value. The cheesy garlic bread was gorgeous, as was the pizza. Proper home made wood fired base. Very generous portions. If I have one criticism it's that the beer only came in small bottles and at £4 a go, it was a bit on the expensive side. However I would definitely visit again as there's lots on the menu I would like to try. Great service. (Service charge is added to the bill).

The dining experience was embarrassing. Arrived at 8pm, well seated, waited till 9:15pm for the food to be ready. But I Ordered chicken pizza, was given chicken pasta so it has to be redone. My supervisor ordered pasta but particularly said no chilli at all still can see some. While I was waiting for my pizza watching everyone eating, I ordered an extra portion of spinach as it was easy to cook. It never came. Half way through my pizza, I asked my EXTRA spinach. Ut has to be done there and then. The food is nice but it’s very disorganised which I don’t think is a positive thing.

Tried this place fort time and was very pleasantly surprised. Maybe not the place to go for a special meal, more cafe/ diner feel. But food was nice, tried pasta and risotto. Pasta was better, risotto rice a bit overcooked. But saying that very decent prices and I would go back again. Best of all was the staff! So attentive, we never been in this restaurant before but they treated us like regulars! Excellent excellent service!

Ordered delivery from here and a whole meal was missed and when speaking to them on the phone they were rude and unhelpful.

We were staying locally and looking for somewhere to eat. Came across this on Google. What a find. Lovely informal restaurant reasonably priced good menu, friendly attentive staff .We had a great tasting steak, which was still red as we like it, with gorgonzola sauce, and lovely spinach side dish. Wishing this young team all the best for future in these tough times.

The food was perfect to the point that i was born and raised in italy, the food was identical and so was the aymosphere. For a nice chill with friends or a romantic date it can accomodate both, very very good food. Highly reccomend

1st time we have been to this little Italian restaurant We thought it was still the rost and ground cafe but had just changed the name we have not been down there since before covid 🤔 Very surprised 👍 We will go back and try it out properly as we only had a light lunch and coffee The food coming out of the kitchen looked good and plentiful so will go and give it a real good try as Italian food is my favourite

Me and my wife bought our two sons for lunch recently. We enjoyed all our dishes from pizza and pasta to desserts. Their house wine was also good. We will definately return!

We had a lovely dinner today with my friend and our kids. The atmosphere and service was great. And the food was amazing. We ordered 3 pizzas, garlic bread, spaghetti bolognese, chips and desserts and wine.. All the food was so delicious.. kids enjoyed too. Prices are really good considering how good quality the food was. Will definitely be coming back. Good to have such a lovely place in Carshalton. Thank you x

I came here with my 4 year old son on a Wednesday evening after his swimming lesson when I felt too tired to cook. It was really quiet but the place looked clean and the staff very friendly. I had a Parma pizza which was delicious and very reasonable. Fresh and good quality ingredients. They boxed up the last 2 slices of my son’s pizza for us to take home and also they didn’t get annoyed when he wandered behind the bar pretending to be a robot(!) We will definitely come back :)

I finally got to check this restaurant out with some friends, and as far as quality and value goes it was very good indeed! I went for the antipasto misto to start and it had a bit of everything that I like (see pics). I love cured meats, cheeses and olives, so it was a nice little tatser to get me in the mood for my main course which was the Bresaola pizza! The dough was light, crispy and a little bit doughy which I didn't mind. The toppings were generous, the bresaola (cured beef) sliced nice and thin, along with the cherry tomatoes and the rest was a nice combination. Service was friendly and not too invasive. Will definitely go there again for a pizza and would recommend it if you're in the area. 4 stars as it's hard to beat when you're used to living in Italy and having a certain standard of food.

Worst pizza ever, full of salt to the extent it is bitter and hurts the tongue. I may not eat pizza a few days after tasting what they delivered in the name of pizza. It’s on top of my worst orders ever. Sorry if it is critical, but it is still an understatement basis the pizza I received. Had to throw a pizza in the bin, can’t believe I had to do that.
