Popeyes in Highland

Wonderful, friendly pub, stopped in before my ferry. Staff are lovely and the whole place has a super friendly vibe. Didn't try any, but food looks n smells cracking.

Fish and chips were amazing, great service as well.

A cold beer in the sunshine. Lunch was simple but delicious. Whats not to love.

The food is not too pricey, the staff is very kind. We arrived here in low season of the Highlands, when the chills of spring haven't left the country yet but the sun is out to play already. That sweet spot between winter rains and mosquito season. It's also still the time that the ferry to Orkney only leaves twice a day but the train from Inverness to Thurso doesn't allow you to arrive a bit more on time so we had about five hours to kill in Scrabster. One of those hours we spent at Popeyes, enjoying a place on the deck in the sun while eating a deliciously made burger. And introducing one of our group (we won't name names) to the concept of curly fries. The staff was in for a friendly little chat but didn't bother us too much leaving us in perfect peace while we contemplated about what to do next. It was a very enjoyable experience and reasonably priced and if I'm taking the ferry to Orkney again sometime, I'll be back.

I was here last week and apart from the really nice service I was pretty disappointed with the meal. I chose a hamburger that I thought you can’t usually go wrong. The patty tasted horrible and the burger bun became increasingly soggy before I was even half way through. Was not a fan of the chips either. But as I said the service was really good and it is a cosy clean place. Maybe try a different meal

Excellent service from the lass behind the bar. We were short on time and she managed to get us fed and away for the boat in half an hour. Very impressed.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant area, food was fine and not too pricey.

The only bar in the area and it has a large selection of beer on tap. Several types of whisky. Plus snacks and burgers. There is billiards and live sports on TV - football matches.
