Ponte Nuovo in Croydon

I have visited Ponte Nuovo many times and every time i visit i receive the same outstanding service and the same amazing food! Every single dish is fresh and tasty no matter what i have ordered. The pastas are an absolute MUST here, i am the biggest fan of the arrabbiata dish that is cooked to perfection, its a winner every time! The staff are always warm and welcoming which besides the amazing food is the reason i will always come back! Would recommend HIGHLY!

i dont normally write reviews because i'm lazy, but i had lunch here and it was incredible!! there is normal food, and then there is Ponte food... service was amazing too! i'll be coming back for sure!!

Vriendelijke obers met Italiaanse uitstraling.Gevarieerde bestelling. Pasta, pizza, vlees.Alle gerechten waren heerlijk. Dit geldt ook voor de bestelde nagerechten. Was Italiaans genieten.2 dagen later nogmaals hier gegeten.Andere gerechten besteld. Maar was weer genieten.Aan te bevelen!!!

Ponto Nuovo is one of my favourite restaurants in Croydon. Great customer service. They make you feel special. Great food. Fresh food. Warm stuff. They spoilt me and my sister for our birthday. I come here every year for my birthday lunch.

We booked last minute on Saturday, as it is no.1 on Trip Advisor we didn’t think we’d get a table but were pleasantly surprised. The table was excellent, top corner. All waiters/waitresses were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, we ordered a variety from kids meals, pizzas, calzone, pasta and meat dishes. Highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely outstanding food and good service as we were in for an early Xmas team lunch - right before that mad rush of people that followed such a popular venue. We all ordered a variety of dishes that all came out at the same time and not made to wait too long for it to be fresh too. This place is generally a first choice for me but at Xmas they had met all expectations too. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic food, fantastic service! We had a seafood spaghetti and a rib eye steak, the food was cooked to perfection, the staff were attentive without being intrusive. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! We will be back...

Sometimes in life you need something reassuringly good and familiar. Ponte Nuovo succeeds in delivering reassurance and good quality in equal measure. The authentic touches are all there, along with a stylish flourish. A delight, long may it thrive.

My husband and I came here with family. We had been before and knew the food would be good. We weren't disappointed. The food was nice and served in a timely manner. The waitresses were attentive but not annoying. My cousin had the rabbit and said it was delicious. If you want good food, good service, at a good price, head here!!

We have been visiting this restaurant for years and its excellent. The food and atmosphere is excellent but the truly fantastic element is the staff. True, real and genuine, we love saying hello to the guys there every time and they always remember us. We also had our Christmas dinner there this year with 20 people and it was seamless. Highly recommend.

Went here last night with some friends for an impromptu Xmas eve dinner and had an absolutely fantastic time. The meal was smashing- I had the lasagne (best lasagne in Crystal Palace, hands down), my partner had the veal and my other two friends had veggie dishes. In fact, one of my friends is vegan and we were concerned that they may not be able to accommodate him however they gave him a choice of lots of different options without making him feel like he was a pain for asking. Deffo gonna become a regular here- literally no complaints. Thank you Ponte Nuovo! X

Went in a party of 5 for our Christmas meeting. Lovely food and staff. Good music and atmosphere. Music was so good people were dancing! Would definitely go again 😊

I been at porta nuova for a magical night on Christmas period, the restourant is amazing expecially our waiter Giovanni that help us to decide a wonderful pizza and costata 🥩 One of the best Italian restourant around !!

We booked this restaurant for my grand daughters 2nd birthday. There was around 25 of us with kids included. There was something on the menu for everyone , some in the party said it was the best Italian they had ever tasted in London. Nothing was too much they even gave us candles for the cake as we had forgotten ours. Fantastic restaurant and service.

I had my work Christmas meal here and we went for £25 per head set meal. I got the soup, salmon (delicious) and profiteroles. The staff were brilliant as always! And I liked my meal. However, some of my colleagues did not enjoy their Christmas dinner main stating it was dry. To be frank, why go to an amazing Italian restaurant to order Christmas dinner?!

Polite staff, couldn't do enough for you. Great choice of food. Friendly Atmosphere, had a side room for 6 people (Our Xmas Lunch) we was there about 4 Hours.

Went for my mum's birthday. Was nice - parents had wine, dad had pizza, I had ravioli & mum had a pasta dish.

The food, wine and service was excellent. we managed to confuse the waiting staff by ordering off all menus, but it didnt phase them at all.

We held our Xmas do here. There were 20 plus of us and we were well looked after. We had the 3 course set menu and all starters, mains and puds looked good and clean plates at the end.

It was my first visit to Ponte Nuovo and I was very impressed! Food was excellent even our 9 year old had a clean plate. Service was excellent they were very attentive. It was my birthday and the staff team made a great fuss singing and getting the whole restaurant involved - a very nice touch!

I decided to celebrate my bday at Ponte nuevo this last WE and it was perfectly perfect.

We didn't book but managed to get a table on a very busy night. The waiter who served us was very nice and the food was even better. I am very impressed from the started all the way to the main and dessert. Highly recommend

What a little gem. Greeted and shown to a table straight away, which you would expect, however my partner is in a wheelchair. Most accomdating to his needs. Very friendly and helpful.

This is a very welcoming, well run restaurant providing delicious food and attentive service. I have visited on several occasions, with both small and large groups, and the experience has always lived up to my expectations. I’ll be back!

Shared a lovely meal with a group friends we ordered lots of entrees pizzas and pastas to share, all were delicious! Waiters were extremely friendly. Only regret is that we didn’t save room for dessert which also looked amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I arranged my Mum’s 70 bday surprise for friends and family in the large private room, since the start Ronaldo was very helpful with all the information and packages. On the day the food was amazing as always! My guest were so impressed with the food and settings that we already planning our next visit during Xmas.

I had some wonderful pappardelle, the ragù was amazing! Dessert very generous and homemade. They are a true italian restaurant, with good service and attention to the client. Absolutely to try!

Found this gem on Trip Advisor search. Late evening meal after the theatre. Warm welcome despite the hour. Food was glorious and service was excellent. Wish we lived nearer, I would definitely be a regular diner.

I went to this restaurant on a business trip last week. I was alone but had a very personal service from the staff.

What a change to be welcomed at the door by friendly staff and looked after so well. Daniel was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a lovely meal with a very nice wine. A very relaxing atmosphere despite the fireworks going on outside.

I visited Ponte Nuovo on Saturday night with 2 friends and we had a fantastic time. The food, atmosphere & staff were brilliant. It was my friend’s birthday and they sang Happy Birthday to her with great gusto! Will definitely be returning!

We went for a lovely girly night Birthday meal & enjoyed the privacy of the smaller private room. The waiting staff were very welcoming & joined in some friendly banta with us, which made the experience even more fun. The food was delicious and well presented, we will certainly be back and will recommend to others too.

Another fantastic evening. Friendly & attentive staff in modern elegant surroundings but above all delicious ‘proper ‘ Italian cuisine - not just pizza and pasta ( although there is plenty of choice of those) Wide menu meant that everyone found something to tempt them. A gem of a restaurant.

There is a consistent level of good food and service at this restaurant. We've been here a few times for various celebratory meals (and usually a bottle of Prosecco!) and are always met with friendly staff and served lovely meals.

Had a wonderful meal at this restaurant when visiting our son from West Yorkshire who now lives in Croyden. The food, service and food were of a high standard and the staff couldn't be more attentive. Will visit here next time we visit our son.

We had an early dinner at this restaurant and were very positively surprised by the quality of food (given we are quite picky with Italian) and service. It’s a family run restaurant and the staff are very friendly and accommodating as we had a big pushchair for our 3 month old. We highly recommend the parmigiana and the handmade tiramisu! We will definitely visit again.

Great evening, had a really welcoming experience for my dads 70th, we had a smallish room pre booked away from the main restaurant Which was nice, this didn’t mean the service slipped we all felt our needs and requirements were fully catered for. The food is nice and the wine is excellent, you do get what you pay for and I would go back! Apparently the roast dinners are fantastic.

Our party of 7 enjoyed a very warm welcome on arrival (our first time) and then went on to enjoy excellent service and very tasty food. Definitely a good venue for a party.

For a variety of reasons I have not been to this brilliant restaurant for a little while. However, how nice is it to be welcomed back and to enjoy the excellent food, the pasta starter which we shared was nicely separated thank you and a delicious rack of lamb to follow. All washed down with a bottle of Merlot. Really enjoyed seeing you again, keep up the great work.

Had very enjoyable visit to ponte nuovo on Sat and returned on Mon night This restaurant is always included in our annual visit to Croydon .Very good food .Excellent service from friendly welcomming staff .

Received a very good welcome, and was shown to a nice window table in most comfortable surroundings.The menus were very varied and with great variety, and the food quality was excellent and portions very generous. There was also a great selection of drinks on offer and combined with the suberb service had a most enjoyable dining experience.

This is very much our go to Italian restaurant in Croydon - this was our fifth visit this year. The food was amazing as always and the service was friendly and professional. The Tartufo al Pistacchio is to die for - try it with a Frangelico liqueur on the side - the perfect end to a lovely meal.

I've been dining at this restaurant for many years and the quality of the food never disappoints. It's good value, considering that it's all freshly prepared. There's plenty of choice from pizzas to fresh fish and a good wine list.

The other day I visited this place and it was excellent the service and staff fantastic food was fantastic I definitely coming back in the near future.

I have eaten here several times in the last 6 months and can confirm that it is consistently good. Seafood risotto; exquisitely comforting and luxurious, generous in morsels. Fish specials; fresh and vibrant, crispy skin to boot. Superb and unctuous tiramisu (I usually forgo desserts). Great friendly, attentive and helpful staff with a great wine list. The house wine is perfectly good too. Thoroughly recommend.

Modern styled Italian restaurant and bar. Friendly staff with quick service and good value food. Recommend for anyone going to Grants or Fairfield Halls. Private dining rooms available as well.

For excellent food and service you can not beat Ponte Nuovo . We were warmly welcomed and given a choice of tables . Our drink order was taken and promptly served . Having eaten here previously we had an idea what we were going to order but were still given plenty of time to choose .

We visited on Saturday evening. We were running late due to heavy traffic and had to be out in 90 minutes because we were going to the theatre. The restaurant could not have been more helpful in serving us a delicious three course meal in the time without making us feel rushed. Excellent ravioli with spinach and ricotta and great desserts, tiramisu and profiteroles.

I brought my daughter to Ponte Nuovo tonight and food is with high quality. Service is great as well. We enjoyed every dish we ordered including Appetizer, pasta as well as dessert. Will go again next time we visit Croydon.

All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu choices was varied - so much so that we need to come back to try the other things on the menu. The food was also excellent and very filling.

Service was exceptional and the food absolutely immense. Epic from start to finish. Highly recommend the pasta dishes. Super accommodating for my partner who is gluten-free. We will be returning.

The food was absolutely fantastic, but what really stood out for us was the friendly and amiable service. Had a lovely conversation with the waiters (who remembered our names and even celebrated my birthday once they found out it had passed recently) which really made my day.
