Great food great service , see my other recent reviews , at last a great restaurant and all round 5 stars on my first visit , hopefully the rest will be the same .highly recommended

Excellent and reasonably priced. Very tasty and decent portion size (takeaway). Will order again as a good local Italian option.

Had the best evening with my family here for dinner. The food was delicious, prices were incredibly reasonable and the staff so patient with our 7 person party including kids. Could not believe how quiet it was. Lots of take away drivers but we were the only ones sitting in to eat. Such a gem in the Hornsey area. Will definitely be back again!

This place changed hands last year and while the food is still of a good standard the service is not of the same quality. Maybe the staff could smarten up a bit and be more welcoming.

What a lovely little evening restaurant in Hornsey N8 Lovely atmosphere and great staff.We ordered pizzas and Olives. The pizzas were delicious and huge! If you get a chance pop in and support local independent business. Well worth a visit.

Went to Pomodoro with a friend who goes regularly. Lovely little restaurant, with patient, attentive service. We got their money saving dinner and wine meal deal and the food was lovely.

Went twice in space of a week. Great Burrata starters with Parma Ham. Good Pizza. Pasta not that good. Frozen Ravioli. Seafood spaghetti came up like a dogs dinner. Wines reasonable. Service good. Nice friendly atmosphere. Tomo’s Across the road gets my vote.

One of the best places in Hornsey for a great evening out. Great menu with regular changing specials. Authentic cooking and wonderfully personal service.

We came for a valentines dinner and we loved our meal. Very impressed. The service was excellent and they could not have done enough to make our meal enjoyable. Food delicious.

We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It is simple and unpretentious but the food is of the highest quality. Emphasis is on sourcing good, fresh ingredients and because the ingredients are good the taste is excellent. The pizza is wonderful and gives a delightful aroma to the restaurant, their choice of Italian wines is outstanding, portion sizes are generous and at the end of the evening we feel that we've not only had a delicious meal but a healthy one too. It is also outstandingly good value for money.

I’ve been coming here for years for pizzas, pastas and great Italian wine. It’s a friendly local trattoria with all the variety you could wish for a reasonable price. Particularly good is the tomato and garlic pizza bread and the changing blackboard of dishes of the day.

This is simply our favourite restaurant of all time. We've been many times over the last decade and never had a bad experience. It was good when Mauro owned the place but since Eli and Lucy took over it has blossomed into an amazing Ristorante Italiano. Just can't find words to express it's magnificence. Can't believe the person who gave one star. Our entire family and lots of friends would agree completely. I usually have risotto but the pizza folk tell me that the pizzas are out of this world.

if this was my local restaurant i would be over the moon ,it has everything cosy atmosphere,good selection of anti pasti,state of the art pizzas and pasta,good wine selection and that's without reading all the specials on the blackboard. cant wait to go back

Fantastic local pizza place with the best pizzas in London. Cheap and cheerful with fantastic staff and very good choice of wine.

Having moved away from Crouch End / Hornsey, we had not visited this restaurant for a couple of year...but I'm delighted to say it remains as fabulous as ever. The Tomato Garlic Pizza Bread is the best there is (in my opinion), the pizzas are great, and the service and staff continue to be a delight - just genuinely lovely people. Probably my favourite restaurant in London - highly recommended

Tienen pizzas, una amplia variedad de pastas y especialidades es siempre interesante. Yo he utilizado este restaurante por muchos años y siempre ofrecen comida de muy buena calidad a precios razonables. I ordered a pizza on Deliveroo from Pomodoro, the pizza was T.A.S.T.E.L.E.S.S I am very disappointed! It is a shame to sell pizzas like this !!! A SHAME!!!

I went with my sister who has been going there for years. It's a lovely little family run restaurant with extremely good Italian food, and the service was brilliant. I would definitely go again.

The premises are plain, small and a bit cramped, but the owners are very welcoming and work really hard to make dining there a very good experience. A favourite.

Once an italian restaurant,where no one is italian not even own he's albanian!I'm tired these people who shame the italian cuisine!The menu' is not italian,the bad service and the restaurant is dirty and neglected!We ordered steak and fries and spaghetti with seafood, terrible and cutlet was filled with black oil definitely the oil was so outdated and seafood were not fresh were like rubber pasta no flavor! They don't know anywhere near what Italian cuisine!

We love this place. The owner is so nice and eager to please the customers. We try to eat here every time we are in London. The food is great. It's a very small place and gets quite loud when full, but still a very pleasant experience. Give it a try if you're in the area.

The food was amazing!!!!However there was a lot of waiting to be served to order and the same trying to get someone's attention or you get forgotten about.

We ate at Pomodoro last evening and absolutely loved it. The crab linguine was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely bottle of Bardolino. The proprietor Elio was so warm and friendly and as it was early and quiet, he had time to sit with us and tell us about the restaurant and himself. We strongly recommend Pomodoro as a great real Italian restaurant, very reasonably priced and so pleasant. For real food and no pretences one could not do better.

It's sad to say but we only went to Pomodoro because another Italian down the road was fully booked. When we walked in it had the same charm and warmth. We were not dissapointed by the food either. My Pizza was very tasty and my wife loved her chilly prawn pasta. The wine selection was good and the starters were simple and fresh. Service was good, but then again not many people were present due to it being late on the bank holiday Monday. Would I go again..? Yes, and not because somewhere else was fully booked.

Pizza absolutely delicious & great value. House wine light and refreshing. Friendly, attentive service. They even gave us a limoncello on the house. It's a hidden gem, much the best pizza we've had in years & that's saying something because we eat LOTS of pizza. Highly, highly recommend.

I have walked by this restaurant many times. In fact, I always eat next door. However, I ate in this restaurant last Thursday for my grandsons birthday and what a wonderful time we had. Great food and great service, so much so, we decided to go there for our Saturday night out with our friends. Food was yummy, service excellent and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I have been there a few times, tried different pizzas and I'm never disappointed but satisfied. By far the best place to eat pizza, excellent quality ingredients, very tasty and perfectly done. My favourite pizzeria!! I would definitely recommend a visit and try the fresh and creamy tiramisu if you can.

Pomodoro is a lovely little Italian with friendly staff, great pizza (and wine) and fantastic value!We went in the break of an event at Ally Pally, it was easy to walk to and there's a nice pub up the road.

I used to come here often when I lived in N8 / N4 and now I miss having such a nice local Italian on my doorstep. The food is delicious, tastes very fresh, and with generous portion sizes and good value for money. It feels friendly and relaxed even on a quiet evening.

We have been coming to Pomodoro for years and like the relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. The food is well-priced and, along with the regular menu, there is a range of specials. I'm a fan of the vegetarian pizza, and I understand that the linguine with crabmeat and prawns is very good. It can be lively with a good mix of people. I know I'm going to be happy when I eat here.

Living close by we visit this place at least once every other month. The pizza is always good and the owners are always pleasant. Good house wine as well, all for a reasonable price. Great neighbourhood restraunt.

A great family friendly restaurant along hornsey high street. Generous portion sizes and very good quality pasta. There is good variation on the menu and the daily specials were somewhat appealing. Reasonably priced and overall a great meal.

A lovely husband & wife owned restaurant. The food is good, unpretentious and very reasonably priced. The staff are excellent and friendly and this local asset is well worth a visit. Don't expect plush surroundings, you get plain and clean. Menu doesn't change but there's always interesting specials. Wine list fits the ethos of the place, reasonable and unfancy. Families often there but children have always been well behaved. Give it a try.

We’ve been eating at this little gem of a restaurant for years and the food is always fabulous. I thought it was time to post a review after eating there again last night as the food was even better than usual. Last night’s deep fried mozzarella, whitebait, halibut in lemon sauce and linguine with crab meat were all delicious and also presented really beautifully. Highly and warmly recommended - it is really worth checking out the specials on offer.

This is a real favourite of our - a lovely family run Italian restaurant. I'd highly recommend the garlic pizza bread for starter, and the pizzas are always cracking.They often do a good mid-week deal - a couple of mains and bottle of wine for about £20 ish.Go, it is really great.

The pizza was really good! My others friends also enjoy the food; the area is a bit quity, but the staff restaurant are very friendly and ready to help you. Good price, large menu, and plus the special board menu available, the wine was the best part, we had 10 bts, hahaha, very nice time

A friendly , family- run business that has become a mainstay of Hornsey High st.Good quality, reasonably-priced Italian food with specials available.The house white was excellent and the ambience warm and friendly.Not a pretentious rip-off like some places in the neighbourhood.

Given Crouch End is so close by, I think many people will pass Pomodoro without noticing it on Hornsey High Street which is a shame - it is well worth a try!Food is far better than the Italian's I've tried in the area and has a small community feel to it - there are a relatively small number of tables so it gets busy easily which is nice, as so many restaurants like this squeeze in too many tables and then find it hard to fill up so there is no atmosphere.Staff are genuinely friendly and the chef clearly takes great pride in his craft as he watches on to see if customers are enjoying their food!

My first time here was scared to eat as don't usually eat from local places but it was the best meal I have had in a very long time. Staff are wonderful & very accommodating. So gd value for money I spent £8.50 for an amazing meal was seafood spaghetti and it was so filling I was so full up. Usually you go to expensive resturants get less for your money and the quality is not even as good but this place I would definitely recommend It will be my new local for sure even tho I don't live near there anymore it's worth the travel.

Underwhelming from the outside and decor that won't win any prizes, I have always walked on past this place during my 3+ years in the area.. But after so many pizza disappointments in the local area, I thought I was scraping the barrel when I tried here.I was however extremely pleasantly surprised! What I found was beautiful fresh pizzas, charming friendly service and really decent prices! Who cares about the decor any way?

A must if you want good food with excellent value for money. The best pizza around. Friendly family restaurant. We have been going there for the last 3 years.

We have been going back to this restaurant several times over the years. Its changed ownership and names, but the food has remained consistent. We had a really enjoyable meal - olives and garlic bread for starter, two huge pizzas, desserts, espresso with a bottle of house red wine all for under £42 which is exceptional in this day and age. Service was friendly throughout.

A friend and I had very good and very ample pizzas here on a Wednesday evening. With a couple of glasses of wine, the bill came to £24. There is a big choice of pizza toppings and the restaurant also offers a range of other Italian dishes. It's a bit off the beaten track compared with Crouch End, which is perhaps why there were not many other customers when we turned up at about 8.30. Would definitely recommend it for a good meal out that does not break the bank.

We contacted the restaurant and ordered a gluten free base for the following day, it was by far better than dominoes or pizza hut and lovely to be able to visit a restaurant that made it a worthy family meal. I cannot eat out at many restaurants for this reason, and it was simply the best :) definately visit again!
