My email will state you know who but my name is Marcos. So I came here to have a couple of pints and also have something to eat so I decided to have the mini mixed grill made by the amazing chef's Fabio and Robbie 😋 I was greeted by my fave bartender Enya and the happy smiling Cameron!!! I just can't praise everyone working here enough. As also keep up the good hard work 💪 👏

The food I had was really poor. It is clear that the food was of poor quality and microwaved. I had Nachos and also a cheeseburger. The nachos were full of grease. They are large nachos and they came out with a dark colour where you know they have been cooked in poor quality oil. The burger - This was so dry. It was clear that it had been nuked in a microwave. Taste of the burger (the meat) wasn't great either. My Fiancee had a vegetable lasagne, my son had pasta and my daughter had a burger too. Hardly any of the food was eaten by them, but we have all had an upset stomach today. I've never known my son to not eat pasta. Service from the staff was fine, the atmosphere there was no problem with either. But the food was very poor. Pommel Horse, you really need to improve the quality of the food and the methods of cooking because we all have had an upset stomach today.

2.5hrs here and still waiting on drinks & food. Very few staff around & the ones that are seem to have an awful attitude. Awful place & am actually embarrassed to be here. No one to complain to in store, not that i think they’d care anyway!

Visited Pommel Horse after a 2 hour drive to drop our car off to the dealer. We were hungry and so was our 1 year old. After a bit of faffing around looking for somewhere to eat we found a Nandos but then saw this place and thought “yeah let’s go there instead”. They had just opened, walked in and was greeted by Kaz the manager who was very welcoming. We got seated and ordered our food. The food came very quickly and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was very nice. Toilets nice and clean. The service from Chloe was amazing. Very polite and professional. You don’t often have this kind of service at restaurants but they had the time to talk to you which was nice. Makes you feel at home. If we lived closer I’d come here more often.

What a treat. We were served by GM, Kaz, who was just lovely. Food was wonderful. Couldn’t fault a thing!

Came in for a family meal, Enya was our table server who was amazing, very friendly, and made us laugh. Caroline, the manager, ensured everything was ok with our service, to which we told her that Enya was amazing. We are only visiting but will definitely come here again as the food was great, the atmosphere was good and the service was next level. Enya is definitely a credit to Greene King. Never laughed with staff as much as we did this night.

Kaz and William were excellent on our visit on Monday evening. So friendly, informative and attentive. We were a group of 8 and all enjoyed the food, drinks and birthday cake!

Went for food last minute tonight, could tell the staff were slightly under pressure but couldn't fault the service or the food. Will was holding down the fort very well and was very welcoming, even though it was late! Thank you Will! First time coming here tonight, left such a good impression that we'll definitely be coming back!

The staff are nice, food is good for what it is. Prices are getting a little bit much in my opinion, but it’s the same for most pubs. I usually go there after the cinema.

Nicole / morgan behind the bar was very helpful and friendly. The food was great value for money.

We had a really lovely meal with a couple of picky eaters. Everything was fresh and great value. Caz the manager made a point of praising our girls on eating. There is a nice atmosphere in this pub and we’ve been asked to go back again asap.

Nothing is too much for the staff at the Pommel H. , Extraordinarily friendly and keen to please. Food was served much faster than the wait time given at the time of order and was both hot and tasty. All in all - great value for money. Big shout out for Emma

Visited this evening and have to say was very impressed with the service from all the staff including Enya, Cameron who served us, the food was perfect from the chefs George and Robbie. Steak was cooked spot on and arrived fast. My wife is very critical and had nothing to complain about,. 5stars with no problem from us..

Decided to try this pub after a movie on a very quiet Sunday late afternoon. Stood at the bar for service behind two other orders, but when my turn came, I was ignored, and staff chose to serve two guys who just turned up. Left without ordering meals and drinks. Will not return.

Nice bar, friendly staff…then I ate what I believe was a bowl of grease disguised as a meal by other things. Some hot some cold I’m not sure which is was supposed to be. Left half of it behind as even my strong stomach took a pounding

Spent waiting for abnormally long time while the staff continued to serve at the bar and ignore the food queue. Upon asking them to attend our order, they pretend to acknowledge and serve a new customer at bar. When challenging the bar attended, he ignores me. The order I was placing was for kids and I had informed them originally when asking but their priorities seemed misaligned. When raising this with their manager, her attitude was more or less that she didn't care and didn't want to be there. Luckily I worked for Hutchinson group and will be raising this further. As a result of the bar tenders poor management of the queue and mishandling of the situation, an argument arose between myself and the customer. The same customers who later started another fight in the bar. As a result we left immediately without waiting for the food due to the poor service from staff and atmosphere. I will be taking this complaint further.

Went about 2 weeks ago and ordered a few things. We all enjoyed our meal, I had the pie and mash which I recommend. For those wanting a good amount of protein there’s the half chicken that’s decent and a good deal for mix and match for 3 items (wings and tenders).

5 of went for lunch,.normally go here every Friday food is always very good manager and staff always very welcoming,and have a chat .food is excellent, manageress always makes a point of coming over and ask how we all are ,this pub has had difficulties in the past ,but would fully recommend now

Popped in for quick bite to eat and you really can’t beat the value for money . Really varied menu, I had the tandoori chicken with wraps and my partner had steak ( he said it was cooked perfectly ) and chips , peas with extra scampi 👍. The staff all really pleasant and friendly even though they were busy , service with a smile . Bonus of winning a free cocktail on the free spin game they have currently . Great value for money , and definitely will be back !

First time here and the staff were great the man behind the bar ( think his name was Will) was amazing as rushed off his feet serving customers and doing orders but still remained calm,chatting and interacting with the customers. I've been coming here for years with my family of 4, the food is always lovely and fresh and hot. The portion sizes for both adult and children's meals are very reasonable, and fairly priced... My favourite is the chicken New Yorker or fish and chips, delicious! I've been with friends recently and Chloe served us, she was very polite and attentive. A great service, thank you!

Absolutely fantastic family restaurant, perfect for any family size. We have 5 young children and the manager was so lovely and interactive with the kids, the food was great and will deffinatly be a regular ! Thank you for making a great atmosphere for a less stressful outing. Also the TV booths help keep the kids entertained.

Good food at good prices, portion sizes are much better than in the past, helpful staff and friendly atmosphere.

Really used to enjoy coming here as portion sizes were good. Last time I went the portions were significantly smaller for the price which we questioned. The waiter stated it was because it was Easter. Still baffled to why food would be same price for less all because of a holiday?

Maybe I forgot to post this 27/12/23...we just popped in for a post ice skating drink, and ended up staying to eat as well. Hungry Horse, you know what to expect, right? Well, I wasn't expecting homemade (and very tasty) nachos, and the bacon cheeseburger was also tasty and great VFM. The staff (Caz and Will) had clearly had a long, tough day, but were very welcoming and accommodating. Low-key atmosphere given the time of day which was fine by us and our daughter. More than happy to recommended!

Went in for an early lunch as a family after visiting the soft play. Good pub fare, friendly staff. Cannot fault it for what we paid.

The Pommel Horse has been our no1 place to go to for the last 6months now. Kaz and her team are the most friendliest and helpful staff out of the few restaurants we go to in Hemel. Food is always 100% presentable and hot and on time. This will continue to be our no- restaurant. Thank you Kaz and the team xx

Waitress was very rude. Asked for tap water without ice, get a dirty look and a long wait. She gets me the wrong drink. Ask again, and get an even dirtier look, the attitude is very poor. For food, cannot even begin to describe. Waited for almost an hour, with little to no other tables around. Another waitress comes out with the wrong order, even worse. Unhygienic as well, with waitress wiping her nose with her hands then bringing the food straightaway!

I never write reviews but felt like I really needed to, firstly they changed my booking to add more of us with ease with a friendly email back, we came today on Mothers day with 10 of us! What great friendly staff you have from the moment you walk in with the lady at the front to barstaff to the servers and supervisers walking around! Such a great atmosphere with songs that us & the staff could have a sing too! Menu Is so affordable with deal after deals wich was great!, credit too the chefs working today! It was so busy but all of our food came out together and at a reasonable time, also tasted amazing and not one complaint for our large group! All went down with hardly any leftovers considering the incredible size of the dishes!! We came out having such an amazing meal and will 100% be coming back soon! Thankyou to the Pommel Horse staff today!! :)

Highly recommend the Sunday roast, I get the XL nut roast and it never disappoints 😋 I've spoken to the manager Caz before and she's always super friendly and easy to talk to. Thanks guys!!

Went in the afternoon it was nice and quiet, still busy though, I had the katsu chicken banquet. I have to say it was delicious and great value for money! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend will be coming back again!
