We popped in for lunch, what value for the money off of the £5 epic dishes menu. 10 pieces of scampi, good size portion of chips, plenty of mushy pass. Southern fried chicken burger, brioche bun, another good size portion of chips and even few onion rings. For £5 a pop (£10 if you throw in a good beer,) I've paid a lot more, for a lot less, for no where near the quality. 3 baby guinness for £6 is also insane value. Really great value and experience.

Food and service should have been a 5, but unfortunately, one of the gravy boats came out stone cold. Nobody came to check if food was all ok. Shame really because otherwise it was excellent, fab roast dinner and a drink for a great price.

The only problem I had in here was it was very cold everything else was brilliant

Had there stake and Ale pie and it was full of poor quality meat just gristle and fat I was up all night with really bad ingestion and still have it now 24h after as the fat and gristle has congealed in to lump of nasty bio. I'm not looking forward to my next visit to the toilet... Will neve eat here again

Perfect customer service and the lady behind the bar was awesome. Lamb flatbread was delicious. Would definitely recommend the place.

Had an amazing lunch here today. Food was freshly cooked, chips with seasoning were moreish and was made to feel really welcome. Feedback to the manager, who told me Georgi was the chef, so many thanks to him!

Upon booking it asked if it was for a special occasion, and any questions. I stated it was for my son's 18th, and could I bring a cake. I received no response. Upon arriving, we had a lovely table with party poppers, so felt very special. We ordered at the bar. When our order came, one meal was missing. It had been missed off the order. We all finished our meals before the missing order came! Extremely upsetting 18th birthday family meal out.

Popped in with my 2.5 year old daughter after visiting djs softplay. Service was super friendly from Cas and food came out quickly. Will definitely visit here again

Don't get me wrong it's a nice looking pub, but if that was enough to save it then happy days. But my god it is not, me and my partner recently went for dinner here (the 4th time this year) and I was hoping this time would be better, I should have learned my lesson! The staff look like they don't want to be there and they serve you in the same manner, now the food... Perfect if you're a vegetarian because they never have anything else available to order, we've had to change our order every time due to insufficient stock of practically everything, on top of that the tables are often as sticky as a tube station floor, expensive as well considering the small portions. We are disappointed to say the least.

Took 25+ mins to actually get drinks. When they came, I asked for a refund on the food I ordered roughly 5 minutes before the drinks arrived. Told me the food is nearly done, I said right so the drinks took 25 but the food cooked in 5 yeah? Got a refund for my food and an apparent refund for the drinks, yet haven't received any confirmation on that. Terrible place. Kids have drawn all over the walls, blokes asleep on tables. Went down the road to prezzo and got fantastic service, speedy and polite. Stay away

Came in on Saturday, was served by Chloe, had a lovely meal. Service was brilliant. Food was delicious. Chloe was very friendly and polite and got us everything we needed. Very fast service, very impressed. Will return on our next visit to Hemel.

My email will state you know who but my name is Marcos. So I came here to have a couple of pints and also have something to eat so I decided to have the mini mixed grill made by the amazing chef's Fabio and Robbie 😋 I was greeted by my fave bartender Enya and the happy smiling Cameron!!! I just can't praise everyone working here enough. As also keep up the good hard work 💪 👏

The food I had was really poor. It is clear that the food was of poor quality and microwaved. I had Nachos and also a cheeseburger. The nachos were full of grease. They are large nachos and they came out with a dark colour where you know they have been cooked in poor quality oil. The burger - This was so dry. It was clear that it had been nuked in a microwave. Taste of the burger (the meat) wasn't great either. My Fiancee had a vegetable lasagne, my son had pasta and my daughter had a burger too. Hardly any of the food was eaten by them, but we have all had an upset stomach today. I've never known my son to not eat pasta. Service from the staff was fine, the atmosphere there was no problem with either. But the food was very poor. Pommel Horse, you really need to improve the quality of the food and the methods of cooking because we all have had an upset stomach today.

2.5hrs here and still waiting on drinks & food. Very few staff around & the ones that are seem to have an awful attitude. Awful place & am actually embarrassed to be here. No one to complain to in store, not that i think they’d care anyway!

Visited Pommel Horse after a 2 hour drive to drop our car off to the dealer. We were hungry and so was our 1 year old. After a bit of faffing around looking for somewhere to eat we found a Nandos but then saw this place and thought “yeah let’s go there instead”. They had just opened, walked in and was greeted by Kaz the manager who was very welcoming. We got seated and ordered our food. The food came very quickly and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was very nice. Toilets nice and clean. The service from Chloe was amazing. Very polite and professional. You don’t often have this kind of service at restaurants but they had the time to talk to you which was nice. Makes you feel at home. If we lived closer I’d come here more often.

Came in for a family meal, Enya was our table server who was amazing, very friendly, and made us laugh. Caroline, the manager, ensured everything was ok with our service, to which we told her that Enya was amazing. We are only visiting but will definitely come here again as the food was great, the atmosphere was good and the service was next level. Enya is definitely a credit to Greene King. Never laughed with staff as much as we did this night.

Chloe, Will, Robbie, Georgie, Fabio, and Cam were all fantastic and so professional throughout a difficult shift! What a crew any employer would be lucky to have such a team.

Kaz and William were excellent on our visit on Monday evening. So friendly, informative and attentive. We were a group of 8 and all enjoyed the food, drinks and birthday cake!

Went for food last minute tonight, could tell the staff were slightly under pressure but couldn't fault the service or the food. Will was holding down the fort very well and was very welcoming, even though it was late! Thank you Will! First time coming here tonight, left such a good impression that we'll definitely be coming back!

The staff are nice, food is good for what it is. Prices are getting a little bit much in my opinion, but it’s the same for most pubs. I usually go there after the cinema.

We had a really lovely meal with a couple of picky eaters. Everything was fresh and great value. Caz the manager made a point of praising our girls on eating. There is a nice atmosphere in this pub and we’ve been asked to go back again asap.

Nothing is too much for the staff at the Pommel H. , Extraordinarily friendly and keen to please. Food was served much faster than the wait time given at the time of order and was both hot and tasty. All in all - great value for money. Big shout out for Emma

Visited this evening and have to say was very impressed with the service from all the staff including Enya, Cameron who served us, the food was perfect from the chefs George and Robbie. Steak was cooked spot on and arrived fast. My wife is very critical and had nothing to complain about,. 5stars with no problem from us..

Decided to try this pub after a movie on a very quiet Sunday late afternoon. Stood at the bar for service behind two other orders, but when my turn came, I was ignored, and staff chose to serve two guys who just turned up. Left without ordering meals and drinks. Will not return.

Nice bar, friendly staff…then I ate what I believe was a bowl of grease disguised as a meal by other things. Some hot some cold I’m not sure which is was supposed to be. Left half of it behind as even my strong stomach took a pounding

Spent waiting for abnormally long time while the staff continued to serve at the bar and ignore the food queue. Upon asking them to attend our order, they pretend to acknowledge and serve a new customer at bar. When challenging the bar attended, he ignores me. The order I was placing was for kids and I had informed them originally when asking but their priorities seemed misaligned. When raising this with their manager, her attitude was more or less that she didn't care and didn't want to be there. Luckily I worked for Hutchinson group and will be raising this further. As a result of the bar tenders poor management of the queue and mishandling of the situation, an argument arose between myself and the customer. The same customers who later started another fight in the bar. As a result we left immediately without waiting for the food due to the poor service from staff and atmosphere. I will be taking this complaint further.

Went about 2 weeks ago and ordered a few things. We all enjoyed our meal, I had the pie and mash which I recommend. For those wanting a good amount of protein there’s the half chicken that’s decent and a good deal for mix and match for 3 items (wings and tenders).

Had a lovely experience at this hungry horse. Food was good and came out quick. The waitress with the pink hair was especially lovely.

Popped in for quick bite to eat and you really can’t beat the value for money . Really varied menu, I had the tandoori chicken with wraps and my partner had steak ( he said it was cooked perfectly ) and chips , peas with extra scampi 👍. The staff all really pleasant and friendly even though they were busy , service with a smile . Bonus of winning a free cocktail on the free spin game they have currently . Great value for money , and definitely will be back !

I've been coming here for years with my family of 4, the food is always lovely and fresh and hot. The portion sizes for both adult and children's meals are very reasonable, and fairly priced... My favourite is the chicken New Yorker or fish and chips, delicious! I've been with friends recently and Chloe served us, she was very polite and attentive. A great service, thank you!
