Absolutely had an amazing time Easter Sunday , the food was perfect , deserts were fantastic!! Everything was served within 10/15 minutes of ordering , Cathrine and the waitresses was so polite and friendly with my kids we had the tv turned on for the kids in the booth , my kids were given a chocolate egg each from staff . I would 100% reccomend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion also with or without family a kids it’s brilliant.

I had a great time at the Pommel Horse. I had a rump steak which was done to perfection (medium rare) and they had a great drinks selection to boot, coupled with a great atmosphere. My partner has a nice vegetable tart which she enjoyed.

Food above average for this chain Staff were great just a bit thin on the ground but it wasn't overly busy so all good, strangers note that parking is to the left as you enter its a strange one way system we parked on tesco car park

So a night out with the hubby, at long last, due to work commitments, and again the food was top notch. Bar staff were great as usual, another great dinner out.

First time I've been to the pommel horse, and I can't wait to come back. Friendly atmosphere. My children could play and draw and colour, which allowed me and my partner to talk and relax. Which any family will know, is a godsend. The Food came out timely considering how busy the restaurant sections was as it's mother's day. Landlady even took time out to check on all the tables and guests considering how busy she was... Highly rated the food, atmosphere, venue and staff .... Thank you for a great memory for me and family on mother's day.

AVOID this place it's horrific . First of all my partners chicken was raw and on the restaurant side a huge group of girl had thier own HUGE personal Bluetooth speaker blaring out music ????? HOW IS THIS ALLOWED people want a quiet meal but no they have ruined it . No one to speak too about the awful meal , think I'm lying ? Pan into your cctv it's 19:55pm on Sunday 16th March you'll see them . Huge Bluetooth speaker with flashing lights in the restaurant part . Disgusting . Everyone avoid this place . If you see this review we want some compensation back . I have my E receipt

Was served today by will & Emma who was polite and helpful and friendly to all of us the chefs Robbie and georgi cooked the food perfectly we had such a lovely day together as a family thank you so much for making our meal so enjoyable and looking after us so well

Been twice now and both times the staff were very rude and miserable and the quality of the food was very poor First time went and ordered a roast that came with a free glass of wine, they brought out the wine first and then later said they have no roasts left so they charged us full price for the "free wine" as it no longer came with the roast Second time the food they served us was just appauling in quality and size, mentioned about it to the staff saying it looks nothing like they have advertised on their website and they just sarcastically said oh you don't really believe what we put on our websites do you? because every restaurant shows off fake pictures? The staff and menu desperately needs a huge refresh

The team looked after us brilliantly well, a big kids party with over 20 kids & adults, nothing was too much & we will be back.

We had lunch here today, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Even though it was a quiet Wednesday, the food quality was excellent. The fries were fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Wednesday special, and he really enjoyed it too. We also tried a couple of cocktails, and they were amazing—well-balanced and refreshing. Overall, a wonderful meal, and we’ll definitely be back!

Have been coming to the pommel horse for a few months on and off for a well deserved drink after a hard day at work. Enya is the reason I keep coming back! There are plenty of pubs that I can visit to have a drink after work. However, Enya is brilliant in her service. She's fun, professional and as a bonus she remembers my drink and my fellow coworkers every time since the very first time we visited. Really could not fault her at all, her service is impeccable. She has a really brilliant personality which shows with every customer she serves and I can imagine people like herself is what keeps customers walking through the door. In being part of a management team myself, I value workers like Enya as they keep the regulars coming back. I sincerely hope her great personality, service and great way with people is not under-appreciated and rewarded as necessary. For anyone looking to try this pub for the first time, I would highly recommend. THANK YOU ENYA FOR YOUR GREAT SERVICE :) xo - your fav customer😊

Had a lovely meal with family here today. The staff were amazing and so helpful especially as one of our group (little girl) was in a wheelchair. Definitely recommend coming here and a good selection of food to choose from on the menu

I have visited here today and was blown away by the level of customer service by Emma and Nicole. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure all my needs were met. The food i received cooked by pier exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and value i will definitely be returning when these people are working as i believe this is the best service i have received here so far. This evening when we went with the family it was very disappointing, and we go here often and never a problem so gutted this evening we came at 6 left after 8, they got our food wrong a few times when they brought my food it was burnt couldnt eat it. when orded pudding it came out just over half hour was going to ask for a refund and go elsewhere as the children was getting frustrated as can imagine. I don't like to complain but this was ridiculous this evening and charged more for kids too as was supposed to be £1. The photo is the burger it's normally alot lighter than that this is burnt To there reply, I have emailed but haven't heard anything so isn't resolved yet?

Friendly staff and food was nice.

Second time I have been in a week it was that good came in on grill Monday and thought super Saturday was a steal had a tandoori chicken sizzler and was the best thing I could have tasted and will definitely be back tomorrow for my Sunday roast and drink. The service was perfect and the staff were friendly the food was on another level and was great. Will definitely recommend.

Appalling service, went with my mum and sister before the cinema only to be served one of our main dishes and the starters. Also given another main course which was not on our order. After waiting over an hour for the other mains, we informed the staff who seemed to make little to no effort to rectify our issue for us. Ended up running out of time having to leave without all of our food so we could make it in time for our film. We got the refund but it didn’t change the fact that we left after only receiving a third of what we ordered. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We used to be regulars but it went down hill. We will be back, everything really good again. Just need to try the lager next time. Very pleasant evening.

Good atmosphere and a good range of drinks

A very nice lunch at the Pommel Horse in Hemel Hempstead. Will our server made us aware of the epic deal currently in the chain and I chose a chicken burger with jacket potato and onion rings for an amazing £5! My friend Kim chose the southern fried skewers with Korean sauce and chips and onion rings - very tasty and nicely presented. Not on the epic deal but also £4 cheaper than normal. Service was great - Will very attentive and helpful.

Delicious food, and very nice staff

We popped in for lunch, what value for the money off of the £5 epic dishes menu. 10 pieces of scampi, good size portion of chips, plenty of mushy pass. Southern fried chicken burger, brioche bun, another good size portion of chips and even few onion rings. For £5 a pop (£10 if you throw in a good beer,) I've paid a lot more, for a lot less, for no where near the quality. 3 baby guinness for £6 is also insane value. Really great value and experience.

Food and service should have been a 5, but unfortunately, one of the gravy boats came out stone cold. Nobody came to check if food was all ok. Shame really because otherwise it was excellent, fab roast dinner and a drink for a great price.

The Pommel Horse in Hemel Hempstead has a welcoming atmosphere and is a great spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a casual meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, and Will in particular was great—super helpful and made sure everything was just right. The menu offers a good variety of dishes.

Will was amazing and I would 100% recommend Cheap as chips aswell so not spending an arm and a leg. definitely returning soon!!!

The only problem I had in here was it was very cold everything else was brilliant

Had there stake and Ale pie and it was full of poor quality meat just gristle and fat I was up all night with really bad ingestion and still have it now 24h after as the fat and gristle has congealed in to lump of nasty bio. I'm not looking forward to my next visit to the toilet... Will neve eat here again

Perfect customer service and the lady behind the bar was awesome. Lamb flatbread was delicious. Would definitely recommend the place.
