We stayed here for one night, our travel was for a family funeral, so we were too upset to go looking for alternative accommodation. In all honesty I couldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Once inside the decor is very dated and comes with an underlying musty smell associated with very old building. Our bedroom was very dated with a bed that was at least 40 years old ( conservative estimate) .the reason I looked at the bed and the mattress was because both of us suffered a sleepless night. The bed was hard and unsupportive, leaving us both stiff and sore in the morning. The room decor was not quite as dated as downstairs but the soft furnishings need updating and all the furniture in the cramped room was chipped melamine and chipboard. The ensuite consists of a tiny piece of bedroom seperated by stud wall and a sliding door. There was no privacy when toileting and having bathroom smells in your bedroom was ewww not nice. The sliding door was screeching and knocking as it slid; no rest for my poor partner during the night! There was no natural light in the room because of big buildings, our room over looked the back yard, which maybe explains why they hadn't bothered to replace the blown seal in the double glazed window. The lighting in the room is poor, the main light switch is by the door, but the bedside reading lamps were so low as to be no use at all. This was a bit of a big bear as I read at night time before sleep. The lighting made it very difficult to put make up on so I ended up looking like a clown at the funeral. In the morning the cereals and juice were buffet style and ok. The breakfast had been pre cooked and was served almost cold. I sent my breakfast back to the kitchen, there was no attempt to remedy. As we checked out, I saw a chinese gentleman, he told me he was the proprietor. I tried to address all the issues and the truly terrible stay we had experienced. This gentleman told me all of his other guestsxwere very happy and they never experienced any other complaints. Best tip: If you are going to stay there ask to see your room before you pay.

Order was wrong as certain items were missing. When I called to point this out I was told I can come and collect them. I explained I live miles away and not convenient - hence young family to feed. I was told to collect on my next order? No apology No doing the right thing on customer service and having the items I had paid for sent by taxi to my house. The meal was average at best and not a shade on the previous owners high food standards and customer service with a smile and orders right. Obvious this place has gone way down the pan as no longer any people waiting for food outside. Funny how they only take CASH maybe HMRC should be notified. Horrible people and very rude sad to say but reality - get some manners.

Used to come here years ago and it was amazing! Since being taken over it’s slowly gone downhill!, after really looking forward to it tonight and ordering half the menu! It’s put me off Chinese for a long time! It was absolutely abysmal, I honestly don’t know how you’ve managed to make it so bad!, the meat on the spare ribs was harder than the bone inside it! The duck was like chewing on ghandis flip flop, I asked for no prawns, half of the food sent was swimming with the little sea slugs, chicken fried rice was more like chicken not nice, salt and pepper chicken was alright I’ll give you that, would be better in adult size though. Best part of the £32 spent was the free prawn crackers! I’ve put it in the bin now to keep the rodents away because even they’d be hesitant to eat whatever it is I’ve been given. Thanks for ruining my day!

Been a couple of times last few weeks Very close to us. Been many times over the years Still my fave Chinese in Burnley Salt pepper chicken wings so good

Been going to this place for years as its convenient as it just round corner from me. Its gone worse and worse. Thought i would give it one more try other night and ordered Kung Po and fried rice. A dish ive been getting for years from various chinese takeaways. This was not Kung Po i was given. It was a load of undercooked meat with veg in what appeared to be greasy water instead of Kung Po sauce. Rice was just reheated. Nothing in this place is cooked fresh. Tried eating it as i was starving but only managed half and had stomach ache since for two days. Avoid. Wont be going there again. I'd rather pay extra and get something delivered. I wouldn't even trust this place to cook me a portion of chips its that bad.

Local to where we live, we always use this takeaway when we fancy a Chinese. Good food and friendly service with prawn crackers thrown in!!

Decided to go here after a long day at work rather than our usual place as I was shattered and couldn’t bring myself to drive. Been here years ago and it was nice. This time I was served over cooked chicken fried rice. Rice like bullets and chicken that would make a desert look moist. I’ve heard too many bad things about this place to be going back. I noticed someone mentioned to try Wok Place, well guess what, this place bought the wok place so.......

Rang P.O sang placed my oreder and then asked for delivery I priced up my order i it came to 28 pound with delivery and she said it would be 36 pound so i asked how come it was so much and she said it was a new menu so we rang to cancel it and she refused then I tryed to call back and they declined my call the staff was not nice at all

Unfortunately the once highly rated Po sang alas no more perhaps the change of ownership etc is the reason but once upon a time Friday Saturday tea time be queuing out the door and no chance on the Not now food very average and no more queue and can get through on phone straight away all very boring and not frustrating at all where is the buzz of trying get last minute good food at the weekend ehMy advice try wok place trafalgar no battle and can order on the net too

Varied menu - helpful staff food consistently good. New menu recently has more vegetarian and vegan food.

Not bad. We have eaten standard chippy food from here as well as a number of Chinese dishes. As a chippy I'd say it's about average, maybe a little better. As a Chinese takeaway... variable.Everything seems quite fresh, there's a decent variety. As fans of Chinese food and regular visitors to proper Chinese restaurants in China town in Manchester, some of the dishes seem a little typically takeaway-sweet rather than authentic, but others have been pretty good. The place is clean, the service is polite and the prices are reasonable.

Rubbery chicken that is soya protein at best. King prawns are a large shrimp! Re-heated microwave food from this place....really gone downhill since the previous owners. It would help if the new owners were actually bothered about customer relations. I wanted to pay for my meal with a DEBIT card and they refused sending me to the cash till down the road on a wet and windy night as they only accept CASH??.....Something DODGY here as it is taking lots of money....and serving POOR QUALITY FOOD.

I was very disappointed, following my last meal from this chippy - Sausage Chips Gravy and Mushy peas - Not hard to get wrong is it? - However, if you like your chips served pale, covered in grease, and somewhat raw in the middle - this is just how they were presented. A further purchase by a family member, sometime after my experience produced a similar result and the curry sauce purchased on that occasion was very 'Odd' tasting and not pleasant - I for one, will not be going again, ever.

I tried Po sang after a recommendation from a friend, and got salt and pepper chicken, to be honest I thought it would be better, the chicken strips were hard and very chewy and the onions were not cooked enough.

Disgusting fake chicken. Processed crap. Chewy fatty and rubbery. Was nothing like real chicken. Will not be going again. Partner also agreed said that's not chicken

This was always our favourite place to have a take out from, due to being round the corner. Since being taken over, the food isn't great and tastes like any other Chinese. Nothing special! I wouldn't return.

Always use this take away when we want a Chinese. It's convenient for us and staff are always friendly. Food never disappoints. Love the salt and pepper chips!!

As a regular of Po Sang's for 21years I was gutted the last time I went. I had Chicken chop suey which is usually very good. Not this time the chiken was dry and tough, no mushrooms, and no water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. Far too many onions and it just tasted disgusing. My daughter had ordered curry sauce which had a odd flavour. So I wasn't surprised to find out that the original owners had retired and someone else had taken over. We will not be going back soon.

Been coming here for years despite there being 3 other Chinese chippies closer to me. Consistently good, chips are better than local English chippy. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Use the Po Sang regularly for takeaways as live quite near. The menu is quite extensive with a good selection of foods to choose from, love the curry and the salt n pepper chips. The only drawback for us is, you ring order, they give you a collection time, but always wait around 15 minutes longer, order never seems to be ready!!! But food is good.

We use this takeaway whenever we fancy a Chinese meal. We enjoy the food very much and the staff are always friendly. A busy takeaway which is always a good sign.

We love the Po Sang, the food is always fresh and cooked to order, the staff are friendly and cheerful.

We often get take outs from the Po Sang - quality food and excellent service. Even though its a busy take away your food is pretty much always ready in 15minutes. Service with a smile from all staff. Never had a bad meal and they have a fab choice on the menu. Price is average so like I say - you can't go wrong!

Had a takeaway for 3 people from the Po Sang yesterday, and the food was awful. All 3 main dishes were smothered in a sickly sweet sauce, clearly straight out of a bottle. My so called crispy beef in spicy sauce was particularly poor-the "beef" was rubbery, fibrous and inedible, the sauce teeth gratingly sweet. The sauces on the other two dishes-mixed meat szechuan and sweet and sour chicken-were virtually identical to the beef dish, over sweet and straight from a bottle. The meat in the meat Szechuan was tough.This used to be a decent takeaway. Not any more! Avoid at all costs.

We've frequented this take-away for many many years - never been disappointed. Huge portions and very reasonable prices.
