Plutus Fish & Chips in North Lanarkshire

I ordered a single smoked sausage & got a supper i also ordered pickled onions, but they were not sent, the meals were cold and didn't taste nice at all

Found this chippy on the way back from picking the wife up from her pals in Uddingston. SUPERB. !! 10pm at night. Got a sausage supper, and it was fresh , hot and crispy. Staff really friendly too. Good parking space outside too.

Great food. Smaller portions from when we were last here a while back but food quality on point so worth it.

Roll and fritter was completely dry, the fritter was as if it had been lying for ages and wasn’t fresh. Ended up in the bin

Asked for sauce on chips nothing on sausage. Husband went to collect and there was sauce on sausage, said they don’t do it separately, never asked for that just put a piece of paper over the chips before putting the sausage in the box.

Popped in on a recommendation, great fish and chips and really nice people, top nosh 👍

Best chip shop inthe district. Chips are perfect. No sogginess and not trace of fat at all.

Not great this time, pizza was doughy and burnt on bottom, spicy chicken was just regular chicken with something spicy sprinkled all over the pizza. Pizzas used to be amazing

Had a Special Fish from Plutus definitely the best I've had recently.

I just didn’t enjoy it compared to all the other chippys I’ve tried, e.g the batter on the fritters was very disappointing, Great delivery time though.

Forgot to include 3 pickles which are now £1 each which makes it annoying that they are forgotten. Also got fritters instead of chips reported online n then got an email to send a photo of the mistake by which time we had just eaten them !

Best chippy we have had. Since we moved to Motherwell this has been our go to chippy and never had a bad meal out of it. People in the shop are always really nice and everything is always cooked fresh. Decently priced and overall great food :)

The pizza toppings were off the pizza inside the box for both pizzas.

No where near enough chips in the suppers small portions

Came 45min early and normally a fab chippy. Sausage has been changed now cheap n nippy taste chips hard was awful didnt enjoy at all

Ordered chips cheese and gravy but got chips cheese and curry sauce. Still nice but not what I wanted

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Didn’t listen to one bit of my order, she asked me 3 times what I wanted and still got it wrong. Rude, abrupt, horrible, I regret I set foot in there and gave them my custom. Special fish was like over cooked fish fingers, and they didn’t have any sauce either. Didn’t put the drink in I asked for and didn’t provide anything to eat it with.

Plutus serves best fish and chips by a million miles and the staff are always courteous and pleasant. Their oven baked pizza is also superb. Everything Plutus does is to the very highest standard. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Although the food was great, I did specify that I wanted salt, vinegar and brown sauce on the pizza crunch. Not the end of the world in know but, when you don’t have any brown sauce in the house it was a a disappointment.

The food is nice, but prices are getting ridiculous Only chip shop I know that don't put fritters on when u ask for them.

Chips were of very poor standard, appeared to be reheated multiple time and were too hard and not edible. Not what has been previously provided by Plutus.

Walked in and ordered a battered sausage and chips. Portions are a good size, you get 2 sausages. Ordered Curry sauce too, which was nice and surprisingly spicy. The chips were well cooked by sausage was a bit greasy. They had run out of fritters.

Usually enjoy the food, however, fish was extremely overcooked: batter was rock solid and fish was dry. Some part of the batter didn’t even have any fish in it. Pizza crunch was good though.

Terrible late dinner pizza crunch supper to have that bit of paper they put in to prevent it happening stuck to the top of it..takes it of to be left with a base of pizza for dinner not ideal when your starving to risky now for same to happen again and left starving defo lost my business

Have had meals from plutus before and have always enjoyed them. This however was delivered within 15 minutes from order to door. It was cold only positive was it wasn't greasy.

The chips wear full of grease, the pizza was soaking in grease , the sausage was swimming in grease , we never ate the chips at all and struggled with the main part: never again will we be coming back

Gave them the benefit of the doubt after not really enjoying last order from here. Unfortunately we won't be ordering again. Delivery was bang on time, however everything we ordered seemed like it needed another few minutes in the fryer. The sausage batter was soggy and falling off, hamburger was the same. The chips were pale with no bite to them either - need a wee bit of crisp to them. Neither of us finished our meal which doesn't happen often in this house.

Pleasant delivery guy, was here just 10mins or so after ordering, never seen a take away be delivered so fast.

Best chippy about. Piping hot and tasty! And tried the mozzarella sticks for the first time and they were amazing! Always use Plutus, great food every time and portion size is huge!!!

..defo best in area i would say so..fish tastes of good quality ..i think special fish is off the menu due to a technical issue .but i will look forward to trying it .when its back on

The food that we received was great. We had slight problems with the delivery initially the drinks for the meals weren't delivered, I had to call the restaurant the girl I spoke to was really helpful and advised they had been sent out she would contact the driver, whi then returned with them within minutes so he must have been given them to deliver. I then discovered the pickled onions I had ordered weren't given but by this point I gave up and wasn't about to phone again and wait for him to come back again.

I had the spicy chicken burger and chips and wow 🤩 The breast was so juicy and thick and seasoned to perfection 😋 and the lovely delivery driver was here on time with piping hot food. The staff even remembered to add S&V and red sauce as per requested, thx ☺️ I’ll defo order from here again!

Awful, order took an hour and half to arrive and then was cold. Food was poor quality. Attitude of the driver and restaurant was very poor.

Couple bits of pepperoni doesn't cut it when it's meant to be a pepperoni pizza.

I’m a huge fan of this place but the food took a long time to arrive and when it did it was cold. It just wasn’t up to their usual high standards. Chips were not the best and the special fish was really greasy. Hope it was a one off

Not as good as usual. Instead if curry sauce it was gravy 😞

We chose this place to get a chippy tea and it was amazing hot food good food, the lady behind the counter was a wee bit scary but boy credit to that lady she was on top form she new everyone's orders and was quick and efficient and was a credit to the team.

Exceptional service and food!!!... As we ordered on a Friday night, we expected to wait the given ETA!!!... However, within minutes, our order was at the door, piping hot, so fresh and just lovely!!!... Even the delivery driver was top notch!!! (And rather cute haha)... Brilliant chippy, highly recommended!!!

Came for the chips, stayed for the pizzas. Been getting suppers for a few years and recently tried the pizzas. Without doubt the best around this area.

Accepted order for fritters and delivered chips instead. Claimed they had sold the last of them just as my order came in. Curry sauce was less than half full. Said to driver, his answer was "it's them in the shop that do that". That's that sorted then! Have been a customer since the opened but too many things have gone wrong. Time to try somewhere else...
