Stopped here for lunch part way on our trip to Cornwall. Lovely food, good size portions. Staff very welcoming and place was very clean. Would recommend

Fabulous takeaway fish and chips. Very nicely presented, hot, and good value for the meal with salad, mushy peas, tartare sauce included. Highly recommended

Although I didn't stay over night, it would be unfair to give the rooms a liw score. Considering how good the place and the staff are, I can only guess that the rooms will be great too.

Proper Cornish pub. We popped in after a hard days graft for a couple beers and a nice pub grub and we were not disappointed! Great beer/cider/spirit selection and very friendly service. Good menu with an excellent selection of pub classics. Massive portion size which added to the value for money. Recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

Lovely pub strategically placed about half way along the Devoran to Portreath mineral tramway so ideal for refreshments mid hike or cycle. More especially so now that the Fox and Hounds has closed. Pleasant service. Didn't eat, just had a shandy and pack of crisps. Would be happy to revisit.

Loved it, dog friendly, really nice place to pop in for a pint Couldn't give an opinion on the rooms as didn't stay in one, but the bar area was excellent.

Great for Families and great Sunday roast !!!!!! Popped into this pub this past weekend with the family. We were welcomed by lovely staff which were super friendly. We both had the Sunday Roast which was amazing and the kids had mac and cheese and Fish ''n Chips from the kids menu which they thoroughly enjoyed. Really a cool well priced spot for the whole family with good outdoor space for all. Highly recommended.

Amazing venue. Lovely staff and great landlady. Everyone is made to feel welcome which is a very helpful espically for someone who's like me who can get anxious about being around people instantly felt at ease when I walked in and will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this pub. It has great food and everyone is extremely kind and welcoming.

They did a marvellous job of making everyone welcome at an 18th Birthday party. They did the catering which was lovely and good value.

Best welcome ever, Sarah and Travis are fantastic hosts, had a couple of sunday lunches, food is excellent, great value for money and piping hot, dogs are welcome. Can't fault this place, definitely our go to, booked again for this Sunday. Husband drops in for regular Saturday pint on a dog walk. Hope these guys make a fantastic business for themselves, they deserve it.

Had a great afternoon enjoying some drinkies sat at bar chatting to very friendly bar staff. Then joined by my wife and our dog which they made a huge fuss of with a scruff and some biscuits. Five of us enjoy a three course meal we had good choice, all enjoy our visit. Very good service from the staff, would recommend a visit.

Didn't stay here overnight, we just pulled in for a meal whilst charging the EV. Staff were very welcoming, even the locals joined in with banter which was great. The meals arrived within around 20 minutes of ordering & even though the 4 of us had selected different fayre, all meals were top notch. Hot, tasty & plenty of it all at what we would say was very reasonably priced. Staff were attentative too. Can't fault this place at all. Well worth a visit, especially as it has E.V. rapid charging should you drive such a thing & just a few metres off the A30 should you be passing by in (or on) any other kind of transportation. 🙂👍

Luvly old fashioned pub with various events going on in the week. Had Sunday dinner today and was fantastic (best I have had in ages) the roast potatoes were amazing better than wife's (don't tell her I said that)

Visited for a meal and drink last night as we were going to a show locally. Welcome was warm and service swift, we both had steak (although not charged the Thursday deal price) mine was quite fatty and tough but when mentioned was dealt with perfectly. The rest of the mains were good, desserts were OK nothing amazing but decent. Overall its a decent visit but not amazing, I've certainly had worse but had better too, if the food matched the welcome and the service it would be a big win.

Great pub under new ownership and they seem to be doing a brilliant job! We stayed the night in our van as part of BritStops and enjoyed a beer, listening to the dubious quality karaoke, and being roped into a northern vs southern hemisphere debate by a local Fiji bloke! Overall great times, good beer, and the staff and owner were all fantastic!

Couldn't have been more welcoming. They had staffing problems meaning the kitchen was closed but invited us to order in a takeaway and use their crockery and cutlery.

Fantastic place. So apologetic as they had run out of roast dinners but the rest of the menu was good for us. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend it to anyone

Recently changed hands so they weren't doing food when I went, but the staff were very accommodating and let us go across the road to buy a pastie and eat it in the garden while waiting for our car to charge. They have a super fast charger in the carpark that does contactless pay as you go and no need to register.

What a lovely place this is! Very friendly and welcoming staff who spoiled my dog for attention too. The food was excellent value for money, and was the most delicious proper home made pub grub! I highly recommend the steak and ale pie and paying a visit

After an amazing first visit, we had to come back and found it hard to leave. Jamie and Joe are top hosts and go above and beyond to make your visit a pleasant one. We attended a party Friday night and had an excellent time. Everyone was welcoming and no trouble what so ever. We returned Sunday for lunch, and the roast was superb. Thank you, Jamie and Joe.

Went for mother's day meal had the roast lamb which was ok not a strong taste of lamb about it and had the cherry crumble for dessert and found it a bit dry could have done with more custard on it.

Wow! Just stumbled across this little place for a spot of lunch. They have had a new chef in the last couple of weeks and everything is now homemade on site. All the ingredients are sourced from local suppliers. I had homemade lasagne and my husband had a homemade burger with "proper" chips. Absolutely delicious 😋. The service was amazing, very welcoming and friendly. They have now started to serve Sunday lunch. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and we will undoubtedly be back again.

We stopped off for lunch at the Plume and Feathers on the way to our holiday cottage. It was great value,food and service. The price was good too. We ordered pizzas which were freshly made and high quality with 3 starters of goujons, dirty fries with pulled pork and chicken wings, all very good!

Lovely little pub with a pool table, and the women's toilets are amazing!! They have women's products at the back of the toilet if your caught short, I've visited many pubs and this is the 1st I've seen offer this. Thank u fir doing that and hopefully other pubs will follow suit. 😊

This is now our local pub and it has a great atmosphere and the new couple running it are awesome, extremely customer focused and friendly. They have a good pub food offering and I would recommend the place to anyone!

Parking the motorhome was no problem with wedges, even SAT. A bit noisy because of the nearby motorway, which calmed down at night. The cheapest beer so far (14tg) only 3.80GBP.

I go back a long time at the plume and it was nice to see how how welcome the new couple made you feal so good luck to them see you down there soon

I booked for our anniversary dinner, was excited as it was the first time in a while being able to celebrate, warmly greeted, wonderful service at the bar, But alas the menu had changed, so we opted for the change, food wasn't great thro, 😕 fish had bones in, and curry was cold in the middle with a Jelly look!

Popped in for drinks and food. Nice little pub, good sized outdoor area if the weather's good. Warm welcome from the barman when we arrived. We had the fish and chips which looked like half a whale. Cant fault the place.

We decided to shelter from the storm using the britstop book, we called ahead to check all was ok and was met with a warm cornish welcome. We enjoyed pizza, drinks and jokes from the locals! The landlord really kind and helpful and gave us access to facilities. Truly thankful! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Met with friends at the plume of feathers and enjoyed a wonderful beef roast dinner. All the essentials were met: crispy potatoes, medium beef, range of veg & lovely gravy. Very polite staff and efficient dining experience. Will certainly eat here again.

Lovely pub....staff so very friendly and obliging. The Saturday night entertainment was Fabulous, karaoke with Man in Black . Many singers having fun.

Landlord was very attentive. Made you feel welcome. Pub is very warming and cosy. The only let down was the pizzas which was passed onto the Landlord, as undercooked bases. Sorry.

Nice enough pub - called in on the way back from a walk up country for a refreshing pint. But £3.90 for a Thatchers seems a bit pricey (or am I wrong in that assumption) Can't say much more really - good enough pint in pleasant surroundings
