I ordered some food from here on Just Eat a few nights ago. My order was late so I called the restaurant to find out where it was, I was told there was a delay but would be with me soon. I waited another 20 mins and called again, I was told there was a further delay and the food would be with me in another 45 minutes, at this point, I was no longer interested in waiting this long and asked to cancel the order. The person I was talking to was extremely rude, telling me I could not cancel and would have to wait. I then went onto Just Eat and cancelled the order thinking I would get a refund since the food has been delayed twice, however the this restaurant refused to refund me, saying it was due to bad weather. The weather had been glorious all day and there were no signs of any weather issues. I requested Just Eat to investigate this and sort out my refund but they were useless and unable to help me. So I paid £24 and never received anything. They didn’t even refund me the delivery charge when nothing was ever delivered to me.

Terrible. Delivery has not arrived 1.5hrs after their already generous delivery time frame. Unable to contact the takeaway. Phone is clearly off the hook. Can’t do anything about it. Be aware they also trade as Wing Bay.

Ordered £30 worth of food. Reached 30 minutes past the delivery time, tried phoning over 40 times and came to the conclusion they’d turned the phones off. Over 2 hours later and no food.

Plaza pizza Whitley bay! Lovely food, waited a while, but it was worth it, absolutely amazing! Apart from the salad, if you are going to buy in red and white cabbage could you please wash it through with water. Until then you will never get a 5* review

This place charges disgraceful prices for food. Bought 10" pizza for like £10 nothing to write home about but the worst bit was the curry and chips for £3.50 where there was about 18 chips with a literal splash of curry which tasted so sour it was awful. Staff were lovely but would never go back. Attached a photo of size of portion of chips next to a tea spoon

Told me it’d be 30… 1hour 30 later it arrived. Also £19 for a 14”, they’re not dominoes, the pizzas are terrible for the price, they’re more of a £9 and they’re just hiking their prices, 10/10 will never go again.

Placed an order via just eat last night, rang the restaurant over 10 times to be told it’s out for delivery when it was marked as delivered on just eat. 3 HOURS after our order they finally delivered our pizza and wrap they went straight in the bin and a full refund requested AVOID AT ALL COSTS no matter how drunk and hungry you are so don’t order from this joke factory

I have no idea why these people think they can do this! They take your money and try to pretend they’ve delivered your order! I’m absolutely fuming! Won’t answer the phone, turned off Facebook reviews… avoid at all costs, joke!

We had a lovely trip to plaza pizza the guy was especially nice when I had my garlic stolen!! He was in a red top!!!!

Avoid this place like the plague, food was over an hour late, and looking at the pizza, had been left in the oven the whole time, black and crispy. Wouldn't feed the crap they sent to my dog!!!!

Disgusting customer service. Will never order again, the staff were so rude. I am beyond disappointed with the service.

Is this place under new management ? Cold thick dry kebab meat, stale pita bread when I asked for a wrap instead, driver couldn’t find door and when I told him to keep the change he just turned and walked away. Not a great supper after working an 17hr shift on my feet. Waste of money.

Stay away from this takeaway I ordered food at 9:40 driver came at 12:45 with cold food very very disappointed would never go back to them

They put a spicy sauce in the wrap instead of mayo like I asked for. Paid £1.50 for delivery and delivery driver still made me leave my house to walk 5 minutes to go meet them. Bad service.

I ordered a half pound cheese burger with no sauce I got home and realised that I only had a 1/4 pounder with sauce on it. When I rang to see if there had been a mix up, I explained what the issue was and the person on the phone told me that my food was on its way with the driver, clearly there go to reply when people ring the shop.

Food was probably early because the food was wrong. Ordered a cheese garlic bread special and got a plain garlic bread. Spent £20 + so should of got a free garlic bread or bottle of pop, got a can of coke and a garlic sauce… Basic/Margherita pizza was that bad even the dog wouldn’t eat it. How can you get a pizza that wrong even a dog won’t eat it??? NEVER again

We were sent the wrong pizza (ordered a chicken and was sent one with lots of additional toppings on). Tried numerous times to call the restaurant and no reply. Won’t be ordering again.

we were waiting outside the caravan site for 30mins because just eat told us it was on its way when it left the restaurant 5min before it came. not worth £20 for 2 pizzas

The food was bland and disappointing I’m sorry but how do you make garlic bread so poorly

This place abysmal. You place an order and it doesn't turn up and your repeatedly lied to on the phone, it's on its way I'm sorry for your delay. Then hung up on and after repeated not answered phone calls and they finally answer your lied to and told its been delivered and its all just eats fault just cancel the order and you'll get your money back. I always ordered from these which is why I can now go through my app and leave multiple reviews as a warning because my last experience with these is a joke do not order

Wouldn’t even rate it one star considering it was meant to come between 2.15-2.35 coke to 2.55 and no food had been delivered! Rang up to be told he would ring the manager but I would have to get a refund of just eat as his driver told him he delivered it! But could I ring back in 15-20 minute I then rang back in 15 mins as I hadn’t eaten all day and just wanted my food to be told the driver had left it on my front door step( which I’d already checked and no food) I then checked again while on the phone I told the person on the other end and they hung up on me and refuse to now take any of my phone calls! Wouldn’t recommend this place at all and If I was you I’d stay away too!! Had to put over an hour late when I’m reality it never even turned up 😂

Chips were hard over fried and smelt of old grease, never had chips in such bad quality but it was 11.20pm and too late to complain or wait for more. Would never order from here again ever!

Absolutely vile! Order was nearly 2hrs late, a chicken Kiev pizza was order yet it turned up ham and pineapple. Everything was freezing and the chicken kebab seemed to have been made with washing up liquid. Told that the first delivery driver had been in an accident but the driver that came had a different story. Called to see what had happened and were spoken to by the rudest staff ever who called us liars yet the delivery driver was there and confirmed he came extremely late! Disgusting food and disgusting attitude. Never again!!

Ordered here many, many times, but tonight went down hill rapidly. So you won't be getting a 6 star review this time. The food was barely warm. the delivery 30mins late. Nothing worse than cold hard chips. The rest of the food needed re-heated which made it barely edible. undecided whether to find another takeaway or give you one more chance!! Time will tell!.

Something has changed the food quality nowhere near as good as it used to be everything from the pizza base to topping all tastes undercooked. Also the meal deal I ordered wasn't fulfilled with all the item's detailed on the menu. Sorry plaza pizza I've been a loyal customer for years the standard and quality of food is now very poor as such I won't be ordering again.

Really fast service, very friendly delivery driver, & absolutely gorgeous food! The chicken parmesan was a highlight!!

Cold, dry, no onions or peppers on the dry cold chicken as advertised. Cold, hard garlic bread, broken plastic in the salad. Whole lot went in the bin.

Part of the order was missing, after sending the missing part if the order it was nothing but burnt little scrap end pieces of kebab meat NO Salad was sent with the kebab. After ringing the shop, the staff were very rude and was just told we didn't get salad because they didn't have any!!!! WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THESE AGAIN, the seagulls even turned there nose up at it. Very very poor

The wraps were good with loads of meat, but there was barely any salad. Why have an option of chips or salad and then not put the salad in. You couldn't have made one full lettuce leaf with what was in it and I think there was a piece of tomato. Also I bought onion rings to make it over £20, but didn't get the free garlic bread with cheese. I will use again, but wasn't as impressed as usual.

Ok so let’s be clear, if you are after a fine dining experience with a bottle or two of a cheeky Chablis then this isn’t the place for you. If, however, you are after a late night kebab or a pizza after having necked a few pints then I would argue that this is the best option in Whitley Bay, and trust me I have tried them all on numerous occasions. I typically desire a donner wrap to round off a good night out with my mates and Plaza's wraps compare very well with their competitors in terms of price, size and most importantly taste. Additionally, I am a firm believer that their chilli sauce is superior to anywhere else in the Bay. I have tried several of their pizza's too and have never been disappointed. When I have ordered takeaways they have always been on time or early and when I have visited in person the service has always been fine, even when dealing with multitude of drunken clowns. If I had a criticism it would be with regard to their fried chicken which can at best been described as 'bang average' and given that it is certainly nothing special I think the chicken is overpriced.

Love the chicken Parmesans. It’s so nice 👍🏼 I think the wine is way overpriced as it doesn’t taste nice it’s cheap tasting wine way overpriced. I will continue to use but will debate when buying wine sometimes because I feel stung by the price

I always order from here because I like the food and you can order alcahol but again they don't deliver what they promise or order. Supposed to get a free garlic bread with cheese with orders over £20 mine come well over that. Its a silly thing to complain about but 3 times previous they've also forgot my cans of pop and changed items without telling me. This will be the last time I order but the food is nice

This place used to be the king.. fast forward 6 years it's not good at all. Pizza was good. Got half a portion of chips. And chicken kebab was tiny and dry as a leather belt. No onions or peppers in it like it's supposed too. Very disappointed won't be ordering again.

May have just been a bad day but when you place a 30 pound order including drink... Wine was spot on Stella wasn’t as received Budweiser Paid extra 1.40 for bacon on pizza which turned out to be a rasher split between 2 slices. Please get in touch

I ordered and the food was on time, however I ordered a garlic bread special and only got a cheesey garlic bread. However the quality was great and the delivery driver was lovely. Bigger problems in the world to deal with!

I usually don’t give single star, but the food 🍱 was Stone cold, kebabs smell like wired, and pizzas are bases seems to be yesterday’s , never order again.

I rang once to complain about our food - burnt and stale. They sent a new order through in the exact same condition. Such a waste of money.

We did not receive a free garlic cheese pizza as offered for spending over £20. Along with this the cheesecake was overpriced, warm and was a pitifully small slice. The box containing the cheesecake was squashed and broken. The pizza was very dry and not very flavourful.

Fantastic tasty food fast delivery

Usually order chicken kebabs from here but will not order again. Since last one two months ago, salad portion is about one fifth of the size it was and now comes in tiny little box. No cooked onions and peppers mixed in with the chicken, which was one of the reasons we used to get it from there. Yet price has gone up for far less food. Really disappointed, plenty of other places though, will go elsewhere.

Both pizzas were awful been using this place all year and only used the meal deal one time.. Wish I hadn't it all went in the bin and was hardly any topping.

Food cam lovley and hot. How ever the quality of the pizzas where very average. Although there was nothing wrong. Just poor quality ingredients. I would t go back.

As a regular customer this was a terrible meal. Half of the chips were really dry and the other half were that crunchy they had no potato in the middle. It was like eating a prawn cracker, also the Pitta bread I got with my kebab was rock hard around the edges and dry, Kebab was okay, will not be ordering again as this has happend a few times

We were really disappointed with this order, the wraps were inedible, order not good value/quality for money at a cost of over £20 so sadly we won’t be returning. Had it been earlier in the evening we would have called to rectify it but because we’d ordered later on we just called it a night.

Ordered: 1 chicken wrap with chips and garlic, 1 chicken wrap with salad and chilli and a can of Coke.. Received: 1 chicken wrap with chips and garlic, 1 chicken wrap with chips and chilli and a can of Pepsi.. Not the end of the world but still a bit annoying...

Frequently order pizzas from which are normally excellent. Last night they were really bad, clearly made by someone that didn’t know what they are doing. Had to be thrown out. Very disappointed, maybe looking elsewhere for our orders from now.

Food was nice but chips were missing from my order.

ordered a couple of weeks ago. You had these lovely thin chip, not the usual pizza shop chips. Also calzone was in a different box and cooked to perfection !!! Not the same this time. Food was good but quality slipped from previous order.

We tried two of the meal boxes and there was enough food for four adults apart from there not being enough chips. We will order extra chips next time.

Food was tasty but not as described Garlic mushrooms with cheese was just frozen mushrooms covered with cheese. Free garlic bread was well done Kebab wasn't marinated Plus it was cold had to reheat but when I did it was ok.

They sell the best mixed keebab I've ever tasted very fast delivery too. Also the garlic sauce is lush too. Would definitely recommend
