Had a lightly battered fish, cheesey chips and some gravy from there. The fish was a decent size, the batter was perfect! Really thin and crispy and the fish was cooked to perfection as well. The chips were elite, really well cooked and tasted lovely. The gravy was kinda thick and full of flavour. My mother in law and girlfriend had fish, chips, mushy peas and gravy and they enjoyed every mouthful! 3 empty plates and all stuffed. The smashed burger menu looks amazing as well so 100% will be going back 😂 the staff were all lovely, really friendly, polite and efficient. The young women made sure everything was exactly what we ordered. The place it's self is kinda dinky but the food is bang on, great service and a really clean and tidy place, inside and outside too. Its a normal price for food, we had 3 decent portions and 3 sauces andnitbwas 35 quid. Food was red hot still by the time we got home, 100% would recommend. You can get them on uber eats aswell and it's won awards too and I can understand why after eating from there.

I went to this chippy today. Cost nearly £15 for fish and chips twice and 1 carton of mushy peas. Apsolutely revolting. I have enclosed a photo i have just taken of the garbage they call food. Loads of bad chips with black all the way through. I have been sick since i ate a couple of normal looking chips. The fish was a car crash. I left practically everything. As did my friend. The batter was like scratchings all over, the fish was terrible and grey. I will be contacting Environmental health about this. They should not be serving bad potatoes to anyone, it's a health hazard. Would never recommend to anyone. Unless they want black, rotten chips. DISGRACEFUL.

Lovely staff! Piping hot chips too and a very good price. Perfect! Wish more train stations had a chip shop attached

There is clearly not a deal in the meal deal. My advice, don't bother. Only got half a dozen chips, which weren't cooked properly, in each of the meal deals. We got a normal portion of chips too in the order, which was more than the amount of chips combined in the 3 meal deals. We were missing items from the order. When taking the food back, we were informed the meal deals were 'cone-sized' portions. This isn't clearly stated on their website. The same cone portions were used on kids meals. It's unfortunate that this chippy has gone so downhill. It was once a great place. We won't be returning again.

£19 to feed two adults and two children. Chips were really poor, everything else wasn't great. Not the best service. The meal deals made no sense. Very small portions too. Overpriced and poor quality. Won't be returning.

Well that was a major disappointment as it was the worst chips peas and gravy i think ive ever had .chips were drab .peas like bullets and the little splash of gravy i got was so watery and very expensive. Never again !!!!!!

I've not been here for years and safe to say I won't be going back as its worst chippy dinner I've had in a long while. The chips were very dry, pea were hard and the gravy was virtually see-through it was that watery. Very disappointed to say the least.

Donner and halloumi kebabs are next level 👌 good size and only £8. I've not liked donner meat for over 10 years but I'm converted again. 10/10

Very disappointed to say the least, always used to get a warm welcome, they would ask as soon as you got through the door do you want fish? No more! just staff talking inappropriately about there personal stuff. What chip shop has No Gravy!!!!???? They took my order and then after 10 mins and after all staff sticking their heads in the tub did they decide there wasn't enough for my order and it was going to take too long to make more as they were shutting soon, you would/should have known this after the last customer... Very poor to say the least, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Went arrived was given rude looks by the staff as due to near closing time, made our order to be told 10 minutes later part of our order wasn’t available… it was gravy… they said they couldn’t make more as it would be ready till 8:30, that would have been an hour from when we were told . Upon exiting they handed our food without a bag

Always first choice for fish and chips

used to be a regular. Did not go because of poor quality. Gave it another try this evening. Fish not great but passable. Chips disgusting. Tasted like they had been refried to warm them up. Diet coke came out of the fridge warm. No surprise there as the door has been hanging off for ages. Don't think I will give them another try. Young in experienced staff. Still climbing to be best chipshop in Warrington!!! Think they won this award some years back.

I have had fish and chips twice from there and on both occasions the chips were not cooked and raw. I gave the benefit of the doubt when it happened the first time but I wasn't impressed to find the same issue on my second visit.

Food was very good. Staff were friendly, had a laugh while waiting. Just wish the Council will hurry up and give permission for the seating area.

Sorry but the staff are lovely but the chips are disgusting. Not a chippy I'd be going to again for that reason unless they change. They are anaemic,squishy and hard at the same time if that makes any sense ,so undercooked. Just horrible what a waste of money Sorry. 👎

Disgusting chips and gravy. Chips undercooked and traditional gravy was tasteless with a watery thin consistency. Young employees , bless ‘em need coaching and supervision in customer service skills within the hospitality industry. I’m a local, and will avoid this chippy at all costs.

Don’t know what these people are going on about with there 1 star reviews. I went here this afternoon and can honestly say it is up there with one of my favourite chippys everything was freshly cooked. My recommendation order chips Irish curry and a fish cake

Well I should have read my previous review before just visiting again. Really small portion of average chips and pie was microwaved and not good. Girl stood at till at far wall from counter shouting at top of voice '"who's next" ..... pricey for poor product/ service........ (Previous review from 6 months ago) Have not been here for a while. Young man serving was nice guy. Very small portion of chips for price though cooked well. Pie was heated up while there and one side of it all burnt and that part of pie was very tough to eat. Not inclined to go back soon!

Anemic chips. Cost me £6.75 for chips, cheese pie and gravy all together. Charged for a full portion but just a half portion of white undercook chips out along side my microwaved pie and one ladle of gravy I watched them gingerly sprinkle over the lot but again charged for a portion. Rip off and pretty disgusting

In brief fish was disgusting, what little there was of it, dry and tasteless seen more fish on a sardine. Batter was awful in fact it wasn’t batter not sure what it was just crispy bits stuck together and not edible. Fish and chips twice cost £19.15 no extras or drinks included in this. If we had paid half of that would still have felt robbed. We had just come back off a trip to Wales and thought would pop in for lunch to save cooking……..big mistake, big big mistake. Never again £20 worse off and still had to cook.

Ordered a chippy dinner. When I got home I had to put the chips in the air fryer to cook them as they were very undercooked. I shouldn’t have to fry my own chips, if I wanted to do that I wouldn’t go to a chippy.

Good chippie. They do Irish curry which is a bit spicier than traditional chip shop curry ,but they serve that too so everyone's a winner. They also do fish to order when I've been spending nice and fresh. Loads of parking and great building as its in part of the old padgate station house! 😋

The food is tasty, the combo should be highlighted as the individual prices are a little expensive.

Tiny portions and expensive too, I complained and was told not to come back then so won't! chips not bad though.

First tme trying the 'plaice' won't be again. Had fish chips and peas. Half the chips had black spots. Had a dodgy stomach afterwards

Only had a chip bap but the chips were beautifully fryed,chunky soft white fluffy,can't wait to call again.

Very disappointed tonight with our order chips was under cooked and inedible and the fish was over cooked and it cost £30 definitely won't be going back.

Wasn't as busy as normal however the service was extremely slow we waited 20mins to be served with only 1 person in front of us. The fish and chips were just as good though.

Sadly stood in Q waiting to be served with only 3 ppl in front of me, after over 15 minutes waiting without anyone speaking I left to ensure I arrived at my destination on time.

Well it was busy staff were a little curt I could understand that but once rush had eased they were extremely pleasant food was VERY tasty but portion of chips seemed extremely small compared with other chippies fish was done excellently but the peas were more like a soup think they need to be soaked less as for the price a little expensive for the size of the portions a few more chips would have been acceptable willl be going again due to this being the first time and hope peas and portion size will be rectified I will let you know

Really good chippy, by far one of the best in the area. Great service, staff are quick and efficient. You can pre-order your food to save time. All staff follow the current covid rules.

Only offer cod, no haddock. You would think considering the name they would offer plaice too! Seems common locally to only offer cod though strangely. I ordered cod and chips, the batter wasn't too bad, but not great. Didn't enjoy the cod and the chips just weren't very nice at all, did even eat them. Staff were pleasant enough, though service was slow and it wasn't busy. Don't expect to be returning.

Do not go if your in a rush....! A chippys supposed to be FAST Food the 3 times iv been here iv been waiting around for ages slowest service going. So went at 12 today 3 ppl in front in the queue and after 10 minutes had only took the first person's order? Only get 30 mins for lunch, any chance 1 could take the order the other could get it out? No lunch starving and had a 10minute wait in the cold. Il not be back again.

Portion size ridiculously small for the price, wrap wasn't toasted like advertised, donner meat was rock hard. Very dissapointed. Battered sausage was nice but had to cook myself another meal after to fill me up. Very overpriced.
