The pizza is quite enough for an average adult to finish. It cannot take away since there are museum gallery right outside the store.

Stopped for a short break and coffee. The young woman who served us obviously didn’t want to be here. She was quite surly and unpleasant. When we politely asked for teaspoons she directed us to a container with 3 dirty used spoons. She rolled her eyes when we asked for clean ones. I’m quite shocked at the service here at such an important institution as the British Museum. We haven’t come across rudeness like this in London or the UK.

The pizza was very good but it was served cold. The dough was chewy, it seemed like it had been made at least 30 minutes ago. And they had it prepared, they bring it to you at the moment. I would prefer to wait longer and have the pizza brought to me in good condition.

It is a nice place to eat inside the British Museum, but the quality of service is very low. They don't even slice the pizza when they serve it, when we asked for it to be sliced they said you have to slice it yourself, we don't have any employees for that. I thought the Margarita pizza had too much tomato sauce, I expected more cheese density.

Terrible. Like my tablemate, I had a margherita pizza. Hers was well cooked, mine was completely black (charred) on the bottom. Inedible. Staff ignored us. Finally when we got hold of someone (we think the person in charge), the woman denied that anything was wrong, claiming that all their pizzas were like that. And that's despite both of us showing the bottom of our pizza (one normal, the other charred). After insisting, she finally brought another pizza and angrily threw it on the table without saying a word. Worst service ever. (Luckily the second pizza was tasty.)

Would highly not recommend especially for people with allergies. The website leads you to believe they will accommodate allergens and even provides an allergen list. As somebody with a severe sesame allergy, this is usually a good sign, which is why I tried to eat here when visiting the museum. Upon ordering the staff were very misleading and appeared annoyed when I asked about my allergy. When I got my pizza there was clearly sesame all over the plate, the kitchen clearly did not even try to avoid it. The staff are unattentive and unwelcoming and the whole seating and ordering process is very confusing, even apart from my allergy situation. Not worth it at all.

Without a doubt the best value for money in the British Museum, we were served quickly and the pizza was good without reaching excellence. It allows you to eat quickly without having to resort to the classic sandwich that they sell you in the museum hall in order to continue your visit to the enormous British Museum. Service was fast, but they don't cut the pizza, which is ridiculous. You have to saw through it with a butter knife at your table, pulling the ingredients half off. Crust is tasty, sauce seems like they just paint the top of crust with tomato paste. It's not sauce. No flavor to that. Dishes are water spotted and/or dirty.

Very disorganized experience. When you do something wrong unknowingly like try to order without a table number the cashier snaps at you and says, “don’t tell me that table over there because I’ll have no idea. And the hostess should have told you.” Feels like an appropriate response would be I’m sorry, if you don’t mind grabbing the table number… Also fyi it’s mostly self-serve. If you want water grab it from the counters at entry.

Loved it! Most museum cafes are over priced with average food. This one was a welcome surprise on a cold rainy day. Coffee was so good I went for a second one and the pizzas were fab, great crust and perfect toppings. They actually know how to do a barista quality oat flat white! Pricing very reasonable and the service was great. Only thing I would suggest is it needs some atmosphere, being in such a wonderful museum it would be great to see historical prints, local art or something like that on the walls. Maybe even rotating different themes as it’s all wasted wall space! In all a great experience and we’ll definitely eat here again.

Food was good quality but service was a bit lacklustre. Had to ask for table to be cleaned. Manager came across to tell us to collect our drinks from the counter (where he'd just been standing) and they didn't bring out ice-cream so we had to ask for it (apparently you have to go back to the counter yourself). They need to decide if they are table service or not - this 'bit of both' is confusing.

I have tried the pizza, salad and the ice cream, all Of them were good , but the service is confused: take the menu in one side, is required to pay first, but need to have a table (???) , so if you are by yourself ( my case) if someone sit in your table during the time you are paying they will receive your food! Also attendants are not friendly.

Overall not a great experience. Help yourself to cutlery and plastic cups for water. I couldn't find a single plastic cup which didn't have some kind of dried food stuck to it, they looked so grubby! For this reason I begrudgingly went for a £2.35 bottle of water instead. The cutlery wasn't much better. The pizza was actually quite decent but I was disappointed to see regular chestnut mushrooms on the carciofi pizza when they were listed as wild mushrooms on the menu. No pizza cutters came with the uncut pizzas so we had to use a standard knife and fork to cut.

The trio of vegetarian salads served at the British Museum Pizzeria were all delicious (and just what I needed to recharge and get through more of the wonders of the British Museum). At the entrance we were told to choose a table and to order from the till, 5 minutes later after we choose our table we were asked to move to a different table as that area was reserved for big groups. In that area it was already a group of 3 persons and we were 3... We moved and after us a couple arrived and sat exactly in the same place where we were before the move... I wasn't happy at all and did complain about it, but no apology or explanation of why we were the only ones that were asked to move... Felt discrimination and unfair treatment...

Not impressed at all. Bit of a queue to get a table, obviously not in their control, but then a large queue to place the order, person on the till was useless, don't know if due to lack of training or incompetence. Took the order twice after losing it, then struggled to get till ready to take payment. Appeared had been similar issues with everyone in front of us. For what they were charging and time it took very unimpressed with the pizza. If I bought a £1.50 Tesco pizza and it had so little topping I'd have taken it back. Large bits of completely empty dough, no cheese or base, quite a few bits burned. Lot of the cutlery was dirty, bits of food still stuck on, obviously stuck in dishwasher and not checked. No spoons left, daughter had to have icecream with a fork.

My husband tried to speak to the chef to enquire but little was forthcoming. Very disappointing (my husband had to go elsewhere because of the lack of real GF options - the kids wanted pizza). The visit was made worse by a very loud fire alarm - we were told not to vacate but that we might need to later. Turns out it's a bit of both. Second of all, the customer service was fairly rudimentary, no one looked liked they wanted to be there. The tables weren't too clean for a start. As for the food, the pizza was pretty good but the lager was flat. Lovely pizza. The wait is worth it. I'm not a New York pizza aficionado but have eaten pizza in many parts of the U.S. This pizza is fresh and tasty with a better-than-average though somewhat salty crust.
