Pizza Express - Belsize Park in Camden

We were served by Erida today in pizza express in Belsize Park. She was amazing. She recommended us a pizza which was absolutely delicious and also introduced us to tasty Christmas snowballs. It was so tasty we ended up having it twice. Overall amazing customer service. Will definitely visit again

Erida served us tonight, and has done numerous times previously at Belsize Park Pizza Express. She is the loveliest, friendliest server you could hope for - nothing is too much trouble (like putting the pizza back in the oven when I called to say I was running late). Absolute gold (and the pizzas are pretty good too!)

Placed an order via the app. The app told me to arrive at 18:50, 15 mins after I had placed the order. Waited in the restaurant for 30 minutes, even asked a few times when it would be ready. At 19:22 I was given the pizzas. I asked whether a topping swap I had requested had been made. I then heard the person I had asked in turn as the kitchen & heard their response "it was 30 mins back I don't remember". Pizzas had been sitting on the side kept lukewarm whilst I stood waiting for them to be 8 feet across the restaurant for 30 minutes. Worse still, I get home & take a look, one is burnt, a second is stuck to the lid & the 3rd is cut off centre (which is minor but after everything else was just annoying). Honestly, a monkey could've done better, really really poor experience, abysmal.

Kristian is AMAZING! We went yesterday for dinner (Halloween, extremely busy) with the family. He was so helpful with our 100 requests 😆 and nothing was too much for him. He is brilliant 👏

Unfortunately the service my family and I received was very poor by one particular waiter. He made the whole experience uncomfortable and very unwelcoming. I had to complain to the manager on my way out. All she could say I was I know and sorry. It seemed this was a common issue.

I have been in this restaurant for lots of times, only had a drink and my daughter has ordered food, and never ever none of the staff told me that ‘ YOU CAN NOT HAVE ONLY A DRINK HAVE TO ADD SOME APPETISER, ITS COMPANY POLICY ‘ unless today! I am so so disappointed and angry of that waiter with glasses and no hair, he was completely rude and unprofessional!!! I told him that i am going to write that and he said you can in such a bad manner! Never made an eye contact and he was putting the plates on the table like his is throwing them! I normally love the staff in there, the women and other waiters are really polite and friendly but this man really made my evening bad! Still so angry, such a rude behaviour!

It’s not express if you have to wait 30 mins after ordering for just a pizza. This was my first time at pizza express and was a very disappointing experience. Being from NYC area, maybe my expectations for pizza quality are too high. But this pizza was not it. Dough was not crisp at all. Then they we waited maybe almost another 10 mins after asking for a check. This place must be understaffed. Overall, bad quality pizza, not great service.

Ordered two vegan pizzas with double the vegan cheese — looked like they barely had one portion of cheese. Also the dough was barely done baking, and bottom was not brown. Service was super slow, and the waiter did not make eye contact / greet us / ask us if we wanted water / etc. It took 30 minutes to get the pizzas, which felt quite long. Then it took like 10 minutes to get the check. The interior was good tho. TLDR: poor service, poor quality food.

The staff is absolutely terrible. Pizza express should be more careful when employing staff. Not everyone is suitable to work in hospitality. The waiter was very rude and very unprofessional. Would not go back!

This place is a shambles. Went there recently and the chef burned my pizza. I got fed up of the 25 min wait and left. Just ordered a delivery. Got a pizza with RAW dough and an almost raw egg. Do you guys know anything about food safety standards? My advice - get a new chef! Disgusting. Go to another branch. This place is a total circus.

Me and my girlfriend ordered gluten free doughballs. My girlfriend is allergic to gluten. We got served regular dough balls instead. The service was miserable and my girlfriend told me that she was stared at by one of the staff throughout our meal. I even made sure I have what we want on my phone and still they can't get it right.

Going out for dinner and being ignored it's not always been in my plan - this happened yesterday 07/06. Service was very poor, the manager ( I believe it was wwhile it didn't have any uniform) didn't even care about what we had to say, and we were treated poorly by the order taking till the end. I usually order the same thing and find the product not consistent, my usual one is St.Paul (super team - super food) Please retrain your team and ask for allergy while my intolerance didn't allow me to sleep well

Lovely place amazing pizza only critique is they don’t cut your pizza for you. Otherwise had a great dining experience would come back. Great student deal on at the moment I would recommend!!

Amazing service, we were served by Apurva. The food and timing was good and nice atmosphere.

Like a well garlic oiled machine, does what it says on the door perfectly well. Needed to quench my hunger while oit sightseeing and wanted the familiarity that Pizza Express provides. Food was of the usual good standard and staff were friendly.

Only for the food is good and the place is close to home would never come back here on every occasion the staff are woefully. They should not be working in the hospitality sector, maybe wash up or less public dealing roles.

Maybe I was lucky given some of the reviews but I had a good experience. I went for an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. Nice cosy local branch. Staff were lovely and friendly. Service was good. Nice atmosphere. I had the Vegan Giardiniera which was good. This was basically a vegan pizza with artichoke, mushrooms, red onion and black olives, with tomato, vegan mozzarella alternative, garlic oil and parsley. Freshly made, tasty and really nice. I couldn't fault it. I had a soft drink alongside it. Clean branch. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Got to the Restaurant in pouring rain and was quickly given a table and somewhere to store a wheelchair. The staff were excellent , very attentive and quick with the drink then food. I had the Spicy American pizza with jalapeno and it was delicious, loved the slight scorch marks on the thin crust. Superb meal and I will return

I am used to watching regularly the pizza reviews of Dave Portnoy on the youtube channel called "One Bite Pizza Reviews". They are pizzas he tastes mostly in the US. So I decided on 08/04/2024 in the evening to try in London at Pizza Express at Belsize Park and I chose the cheapest pizza called Margarita at £13.40, supposedly a big size when it is in fact an average size, not a big size at all. THE BIG PROBLEM? NO CHEESE AT ALL AND I REALLY MEAN IT!!! THE REST, THE SUPPOSED TOMATO SAUCE, IS ALSO NONEXISTENT!!! YOU ARE LEFT EATING A DOUGH THAT IS NOT EVEN COOKED PROPERLY!!! AND ALL THAT AWFUL PIZZA FOR £13.40 WHEN I COULD HAVE BOUGHT, IN MY AREA, AN ENTIRE CHICKEN FOR £7.50 WHERE AT LEAST I DO GET TO BUY THE MAIN FOOD FOR A CHICKEN THAT IS CHICKEN!!! IT IS THE LAST TIME IN MY ENTIRE LIFE THAT I BUY A PIZZA IN LONDON!!! I WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO TRAVEL TO THE US TO BUY A REAL PIZZA, ONE WHERE YOU CAN REALLY FEEL THE CHEESE WHEN YOU EAT YOUR PIZZA!!! IT WAS LIKE BEING ROBBED OF £13.40!!! I WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE GIVEN THIS PIZZA TO MY WORST ENEMY OR TO MY DOG!!! Honestly, the people working at this pizza express really thinks their customers are "willing preys" ready to be ROBBED!!! I RATE THIS PIZZA EXPRESS AT BELSIZE PARK (NW3) ZERO OUT OF TEN, NOT EVEN ONE. Any rating for this Pizza Express that would be above two is a fraud meaning it is not from a real customer!!! Or they start putting cheese only when you buy one of their expensive pizzas even though at £13.40, I consider this price a theft for what I got, that is nothing except a dough that was not even cooked properly!!! DO NOT CENSOR THIS REVIEW. I WILL CHECK REGULARLY TO MAKE SURE IT HAS NOT DISAPPEARED!!!

Pizza was good, sides and desert not worth the wait! Really poor service we were shown to our table and were just left, staff were all busy putting pizza’s in boxes? We were not approached to order every time I required service, I had try to get someone’s attention, we had to wait a long long time between each course.

Extremely rude waitress. Terrible service. Told manager... Wasn't even given a discount for her behaviour... Never have I been spoken to like that before but a staff member. Disgrace.

Rude staff I came with my 8 year old daughter after attending RF a&e and she was in a sling. Serving waiter was miserable and v rude hence the rating for atmosphere. I complained about the so called child friendly dessert which was a rock hard brownie other with other branches the children can at least break into these. Furthermore I had to ask for the babycinno that should be part of the meal. Not forthcoming, ended up getting my own extra cutlery from where they were located as no one bothered to even check in on us or if we requied anything else, seated right in front of the cooking area so not much excuse.Just rude service and I wouldn't return here much more friendly branches elsewhere to choose from.

Terrible service. Booked a table online, and met with an "upstairs" from the waiter. Seated ourselves upstairs and waited to order. Had to ask three times for a jug of water. The upstairs part of the restaurant was very hot! Had our pizza, but couldn't wait to get out as it was too hot!! Wish we'd gone to the pizza restaurant about 50m up the road.

Came in for a birthday meal with wife a toddler and friend and the staff were so friendly and attentive with us all. They were great with my daughter and even put a candle on my dessert for my birthday. Really friendly
