Pizza Mondo in Middlesbrough

I have just had kebab and chips and the kebab meat was like biting into an old trainer. Absolute dog shit I would not eat here again.

Always amazing, pizza is the best around and the garlic mayo too.

Honestly it’s great! The food spot on the delicious stringy mix of cheeses and sauce and the INCREDIBLY large range of pizzas is amazing always love coming here with the family for tea or a late night takeaway for a match! Pizza, kebab, parmos, and burgers, pizza-9/10 sometimes depending on who is working that night can sometimes be a bit greasy but easy fix with a bit of paper towel makes no difference to the flavour! But I can’t resist the pizza gosh the way the toppings are evenly spread perfect amount of stringy melted cheese and sauce COULDNT get better! Kebab-10/10 gorgeous nothing to complain about apart from sometimes can be a bit thick but still gorgeous, parmos- best I’ve ever had unbeatable100/10 everyone I know loves them and can fill you up but they do have a small for a smaller apatite but 👍👍 and finally burgers- they could be better but considering it isn’t a burger specialist takeaway it’s good so 6/10 and can’t forget the sides like chips, fries, wedges, onion rings, chicken nuggets and garlic bread like I said wouldn’t go to another place I’ve tested others like chinos and others but none like this great customer service keep it up!

Outside any pizza restaurant, simply the best pizza take away in the area by a country mile.

Every time I order from Mondo's the food is always piping hot and incredibly delicious. It's hands down the best takeaway pizza in Middlesbrough! I've had pizza from practically every takeaway in this town and nothing beats it 😋🍕 I highly recommend the Romano if you want a super cheesy, garlicky pizza with the tastiest tomato base I've ever had!

Worst kebab ever. Really thick pieces which were dry, crusty and burnt. The bit I tried tasted rank. Wouldn't even eat it after 6 pints and that's saying something.

The food isn’t to bad tbh however the atmosphere and customer service is shocking, no acknowledgment when you enter the shop, staff are all miserable who can’t raise a smile and look like they can’t be bothered , atmosphere is terrible.

For a typical takeaway only pizza shop, i can only recommend this place. Yes there are specialist pizza places not far away like Domino's and Pizza Hut, but the taste and prices here are really great. I visited after a family friend recommended it whilst i was on holiday from The Netherlands. I'd certainly return again. 12 inch pizza and a 9 inch cheese garlic bread for under £14.00. Thank you for a great experience.

Worst kebab ever! Dry, even crisp doner meat, rubbish chips, I asked for chilli dip and got garlic. Never again...

Ordered a 9" pizza half hotshot and half hawain tonight to pick up at 9.20 Arrived at 9.18 in taxi and they asked me to phone again and obviously hadn't took order waited till 9.30 before I got order which cost me £6 extra in taxi fare and when I got home no hotshot just hawain phoned up and the owner said that's what I ordered. Been using Mondos for 30 years and that's the last,when there busy customer service is a joke I will look elsewhere

Been going for years but last couple have been awful. Sloppy, greasy, uncut slop calling itself a pizza.

Had a family emergency and had to cancel an order, childishly blocked my phone number. However i walked in store to collect some food and it was spot on.

One of the best takeaways in middlesbrough. We particularly enjoyed their meal deal which consists of a big parmo and medium sized pizza.

Disgusting attitude from the older man who i suspect is the owner. Totally ignorant, no acknowledgement on entering the shop, no smile, just angry looks! He barks orders at the staff who are all consideredbly younger. I would hate to think of one of my kids working there - terrible atmosphere. Tonight I was told to wait outside for my food because I wasn't wearing a mask, despite me trying to explain I am exempt from wearing one. He wasn't interested, and told me 'YOURE F*****G BORING ME' - what sort of attitude is that towards a paying customer? The irony of this situation is, I was sat quietly for a good five minutes inside the premises before he decided to treat me this way, during which he prepared numerous food items with his own mask down around his mouth with his nose completely exposed! Double standards or what! He's quite happy to take your money, but If your medically exempt from wearing a mask, you can wait outside like some sort of lepper! All the while, preparing food whilst wearing his own mask down off his face. Complete bafoon! Shocking attitude from an obnoxious and agreessive man.

Not here, extra charge is needed. Who would want dry potato skins? Tell me where do you have to cut some lettuce and onion at home when you order a cheese burger? Pizza Mondo of course! Every takeaway/restaurant where we have purchased a cheeseburger, salad (even a small garnish) has been included! In short, don't buy from here if you don't like being ripped off!! Food isn't all that either!

Dreadful customer service from the short fat bald bloke behind the counter, and even more dreadful food!! Spoken to rudely by him when trying to enter the shop to pay for my food. I had to go back into the shop to ask how long my food was going to be, only thing I be told that they thought I had been served, and my food had been sat waiting on top of the oven. Dry and cold pizza, with only the fries as a plus point.

Are these the best pizzas in the world? I’d say so yes, I don’t think the Italians themselves can match the quality on offer at mondos, I don’t think the Italians have a clue about pizzas actually now I think about it. They’re blind when it comes to pizza in fact. I had the polo Kiev pizza there and I literally wept with satisfaction, the 2nd pizza on the cards was the inferno which backed up the polo Kiev nicely, if the pizzas were blokes they’d be Prince William & Trevor McDonald, both outstanding. I’ll be coming back here for my tea no doubt about it, 10/10 mondos, I’ve never been this satisfied after a meal since that time our Mam made egg and chips when I got out of prison.

We have used this take away many times in the past and have been very happy, but yesterday we ordered a pizza, half vegetarian and half Ham and Pineapple. The veggie half was good but the Ham on the other half was terrible, I started eating it and bit into a bit lump of fatty gristle, putting it aside, I continued eating the Pizza only to find more fat and gristle which made me feel sick. The rest of the Pizza was thrown away, as it was disgusting, I will never order anything with Ham in it again from this shop. Please get your standards back to where they were and don't sell inferior ham full of gristle and fat.

Top notch pizza... So deep with filling, recommend meat feast. Potato skins with a garlic sauce are fabulous... You get absolutely loads. Also garlic mushrooms are spot on.... Great value for money. Just started using this place... Would deffo recommend

Bought a donner kebab Sunday evening .kebab meat burnt to a crisp. It certainly was not donner meat. Phoned to complain told that's how it comes out of the oven.put it in the bin totally inedible. Do not use this establishment

We went to pizza Mondo for two kebabs on Tuesday evening. It came with fries,salad and garlic sauce. The only good thing was the salad. The chips were just to say warm(live minutes away so can't blame the distance) the garlic sauce was horrible and the kebab meat was dry and burnt. Goodness knows how long it had been stood. Tried to ring but phone constantly engaged. Use this shop regularly, but not any more!!

Tried for the first time Tues night, food was great but the young lad who served us had zero communication skills. Very rude and no need to swear Won't be going back

I have been in and out of Pizza Mondo for roughly 20 years and have always enjoyed the food in the main, however I have not been in for a few years and tonight decided to visit and old favourite .... the pizza Donner ! I had this minus the jalapeño peppers with potato skins and my girlfriend had a Margherita pizza and the potato skins and all I can say is wow ! Beautiful take away food of the utmost quality, the potato skins were unreal and great portion size. The pizza Donner minus the jalapeños was the best pizza I’ve had full stop. Donner meat baked under the cheese with lovely baked onion strips and drops of garlic butter. Not sure if the original manager is still at the helm but if you are.. bravo for sustaining such quality over this period of time sir! Thoroughly recommend this pizzeria and thank you for a fantastic Sunday night feast!

Wife was out so fancied some donner meat when I got my portion for £3.50 it was just warmed up from God knows how long ago I can honestly say it was the worst I have ever tasted and I'm definitely not one to complain about food but it was disgusting. Safe to say I won't let any of my family go there again I'd rather travel a little bit further.

There was a green dragon fly in our food. the restaurant alleged we had put it there and swore at my father and me. The manager has no standards and is a vile and greedy individual - PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESTAURANT

Do not eat here. Recently had a takeaway from these guys and as I cut into my parmo I noticed a moth stuck to the underside of the food! Upon complaining, we were told in no uncertain terms to “F@&K OFF”!We will be taking the issue to the food standards agency. Hopefully they will listen to the agency and take the issue more seriously.

Cheese related items can be a bit on the rubbery side at times but overall quite nice selection and food is great. Slightly above average takeaway prices though

was told about this pizza shop from brother in law, so decided to try, ordered a polo fungi was told to collect 15 mins, turned up 15 minutes latter pizza fresh from oven, very reasonably priced, short drive home, yes very tasty, best i have tasted in a long time, we live in eston if you know the area it has lots of pizza shops, i would rather drive 10 minutes up the road to pizza mondo, this was our first visit to this shop will return.

I absolutely love this place! My girlfriend used to live round the corner so it’s become our go-to for a Friday treat. Can’t give enough praise as to how much effort and quality goes into the food. Our favourite is the cheesy garlic bread, also love the Bolognese pizza. Chips are always tasty and well cooked, their garlic sauce is the good stuff, divine!It’s testament to how good this place is that we go there nearly every week, or at least every other week, and EVERY meal we get is beautiful. the staff are always working hard to make sure everything comes out at its best.Perhaps the fact that they don’t deliver means the attention to detail is more meticulous than other pizzerias, whatever they’re doing just works on every level.Get yourself there and try this taste sensation for yourself!!!

I craved a kebab, I haven't had one since we moved to Yorkshire. So my husband drove the 20 minutes in a labour of love to get me my favourite kebab - a chicken shish with lots of salad, pickled chillies and sauce.

I have been getting my pizzas from Pizza mondo for the last 10 years and they have always been very good, never in this time have I had a poor pizza.

Decided to call in with hubby straight from work and not had a pizza for ages.

AMAZING. Best in the area by far! The pizza, chips, parmos and especially the garlic sauce are just amazing! Would 100% recommend every time

Had a chicken kebab for me tea and was disappointed by the fact that the hot chicken was laid on top of the salad which made the salad taste YAK, salad should be in separate box or bag and no onion in salad, the chicken was nice but the pitta bread was only just ok as it was nearly on the turn, chips ok, chilli sauce nice and had a bit of a tickle, it's what you would expect from a fast food pizza shop, still say it's best in the area but then I don't use these places alot anyway............warm salad YAK !

Una pena, ya que solía ser nuestro ir a la tienda de pizza hasta que me mudé fuera de la zona. Así que esta noche fue mi regalo noche y decidimos tratar la familia para pizzas y parmo. Cuando volvimos a casa con la comida que me quedé indignado pizzas fueron quemadas y el parmo unedible y parecía una ardilla había sido vaciado de la lado de la carretera y atrapados bajo el gril, quizás sea estado tipo. No me puedo quejar y de circunvalación y ofrecieron a cambiar todo, pero que estaba en nuestro tiempo y gasto, así que tuve que declinar. Puede también haber tiró dinero por el desagüe. .

My favourite place to get a pizza from anywhere local. The pizza is lovely, it's thin crust .. which I prefer .. always packed with toppings, fresh and cooked to order. The chicken pizza is especially lovely and even nicer, in my opinion, when you add garlic butter and some chilli peppers too! They also do lasagne, which is lovely, some of the starters are nice too such as the prawn rosa. They don't deliver, sadly, but it's worth the drive to collect, it's seriously that good!

For a nice area I thought this pizza shop would be a nice pizza shop... anyway we rang and ordered food at 10:41 pm which was last minute. Had to travel to get there which took us 12 minutes including getting the money out to pay the pizza shop. As I was pulling up a girl who worked there rang me and sounded really annoyed that I wasn't there and they hadn't got home! I went to collect my food the man and girl who worked there were really annoyed with me and the girl was moaning about how annoyed her friend/girlfriend is going to be having to wait for her. Bearing in mind this was 10:53 and I was under the impression it didn't shut until 11pm!! Both staff member who were working had disgusting attitudes and don't care about the shop or the customers it's a joke I certainly won't be using that place ever again. Why would you even start ringing customers if they had been just over ten minutes from ordering to collecting fair enough if we rocked up at 11:15 I could understand that but it's a horrible places and they are up their own bums!!!!!

We regularly have pizza or chicken parmo's from here and they are always spot on, fresh nice and crispy pizzas are the business, to many places now give you a soggy pizza blob in a box, the parmo's are also nice and tasty.
