Pizza Hut in Dundee City

Pizza was very fresh as we arrived just when they opened on a Wednesday, so was buffet for all 3 of us. Plenty variety and regularly replaced. Staff were fine, not overly obtrusive but there if needed. Wasn't busy when we arrived , but seem to be as we were leaving. Nothing special, but filling and fresh.

Decent food for price but this no cash nonsense and ordering through an app is an absolute joke . Can't be bothered with it at all .

Lukewarm food, dirty restaurant and the worst customer service around.. avoid this trash and spend your money somewhere else

Staff are friendly and helpful. All ordering is by app, which is annoying. Salad bar is normally in need of topping up no matter when you visit. Every time you visit something else has been cut from the salad bar - pasta, cous cous, apples, dressings etc etc. We used to go regularly but we go elsewhere these days.

Not much atmosphere on a Monday night - for a time, we were the only customers. Lasagne was great, but chips and onion rings went cold very quickly because they were not served on heated plates, but on paper in plastic baskets. Salad items were nice, but having to put them in a small bowl means you can't lay items out separately, and first items picked are buried

The tables were very clean and maintained after each use. The staff were friendly and helpful

Really expensive pizza and an app for ordering that proved inadequate for our needs.

In my opinion the place is very run down and looks tired . We chose the buffet options Definitely not worth the money. The pizzas were slow to come out and not a lot of toppings on them . Won't be returning.

The big male (assuming) manager has an appalling attitude towards customers when confused about the ordering system he responded, do you want a pizza or not? Absolutely ridiculous. My husband also noticed his fowl attitude towards a young waitress when making mistakes. My heart could only break for her as she looked so flustered and nervous. Food was mediocre. WILL NOT BE BACK.

Paid using the app asking for a tip before we had even had any service.

Asking You’re OK? several times doesnt cover for the fact you thought we were going to share a coke and decided to walk up to us to tell us we can’t share a drink, and if I dare share a sip we would be charged for a second drink. We visited with 2 of our under 3 children who were not in a mood to eat. So instead of wasting our money on 2 meals that we were sure to go waste we offered our salad which they barely ate. It looks like this woman was frustrated about it so she decided to embarrass us like this. We are not some lowlife scums to be confronted like this and deserve some respect. The pizza bread was bland and I did not enjoy the Pizza. Margarita and veg pizza were both not as I remember them. This isn’t the same Pizza Hut Pizza I grew up eating. This experience is the end of the line for my relationship with Pizza Hut. I hope you do more to retain your remaining customers.

Excellent, friendly, helpful service. Usually swing past when passing & always seem to find a table even when busy. Pizza,s always delicious & good quality salad. Recommend here when driving thru Dundee.

The restaurant wasn't warm, and the pizza could have been hotter, and the pasta was just awful. I will certainly not be back.

Payed for the buffet. Pizzas were very slow coming out, there were a few other tables also having the buffet. The chef was really struggling to keep up. Serving/waiting staff were really friendly and attentive. Nice clean restaurant, just a little let down with the speed the pizza buffet was being replenished.

It's pizza hut at lunch time so you know what to expect. Only one member of staff on shift...be prepared to order everything on your phone... not ideal for some of the older generations! Staff turned up towards the end as we left...very friendly and kind.

Got a takeaway pizza. Wasn't hot. Hardly any pepperoni. Poor

Stopped here en-route to Glasgow from Aberdeen for a quick dinner and it worked out perfectly for us. Staff were friendly and attentive, restaurant was in good condition, food was good and delivered quickly. Will definitely stop by again in future when doing the same trip. Busy restaurant so I advise booking ahead.

Refused to take cash, absolute joke.

Then restaurant was busy and there was only a few young people servings so food was slow. We where informed when we entered that all the restaurant's where going cash free (only take card).

Fairly usual PH experience. Order by app only is rubbish and suggesting a tip up front is laughable. Can't use the bundle offers if you want a drink while you decide, app service is great for mac Ds etc but not impressed for more than grab and go fast food.

One oven was broken causing meaning the buffet had no pepperoni who goes to pizza hut for pasta?

Went here with family, had the buffet however there was not much choice and the choices on offer was cold. Service is pretty much self service at pizza hut now. Atmosphere wasn't much going on.

Buffet food had been sat there a while , dry and cold Ice cream machine was ice with a hint of vanilla Salad had been sat there all day, lettuce was dark brown

Well run Restaurant at the Kingway West Retail Park and staff are friendly,polite and professional and make you feel welcomed and buffet had plenty of choices and was all tasty and great choices of different juices and ice-cream was good with choice of toppings and sauces and place was spotless and tables were are clean with clean cuterly and highly recommended with competitive prices.

Not much choice of pizza on the buffet all same type of pizza only difference was the base , maybe it was time of our visit as was later into lunch time .

We went there last night and went for the £50 deal - two pizzas, two sides and two desserts ☺️ pizza hut has changed since I last went many moons ago! We both had thin crust and the pizzas weren't as greasy as dominoes which is a plus 😊 especially since that was what bugged my ibs the most 😶‍🌫️ and the loaded cheesy bite bites side was nommy 😊 I had the cookie dough dessert which was tasty - though not as tasty as kaspas - but all in all I'd come back again 😋

Mobile ordering is quick and easy. Buffet till 3pm everyday is great, able to just go and get food immediately. Pretty much the only mainstream pizza buffet in the country, combined with salad bar and ice cream factory makes for such a great eating experience.

What has happened to The Hut?! Capitalism has killed the whole experience. A lot less service, a lot worse food, a lot more expensive. We were shocked actually at the price for what we got. Cashless, ordering via an app which was not really different to ordering for delivery. Lack of cheese (had to pay extra for more). Basically self serve. Gutted.

First time visiting Pizza Hut since 2021. Stood for at least 5 minutes waiting to be seated. There was another couple behind us. Not that I blame the young man who found us a table. He was basically a one man’s band. He also served the food, took orders from the takeaway. Answered the phone and cleaned up after customers. That’s a lot for one person. I personally don’t like the ordering and paying via the app. I thought it was during the PCR pandemic and things would be back to normal. But no. To the food. My 9 year granddaughter had the adult portion of macaroni and cheese. It was never an adult portion. Sure it’s on a long dish and looks plentiful until you notice it’s only one layer thick. Overpriced at £12.99. The 11” pepperoni feast was not a feast of pepperoni. I counted 10 small circles of said pepperoni. Very disappointing. The salad bar. Well the less said about that the better. It was totally tasteless except for the Jalepeno’s. I tried a small sample of everything and it was almost as if the taste had been whisked away. All in all £45 for a small pizza, Mac and cheese, two drinks and a bowl of ice cream is too expensive especially when it wasn’t anything to write home about. I won’t be back ever.

Staff attentiveness was second to none it has now taken the top spot of our favourite place to go and eat as a family

This place is completely hostile and devoid of any kind of proper service. Firstly, no one takes your order, you have to order via an app. The app does not let you order certain menu items, only the ‘deals’ so that they make more money. No one offered to help with the ordering and when we asked we were more or less told that was just how it was. Our pizza was rubbish. Lukewarm and with barely any topping. The selection of drinks was poor. They refuse to take a cash payment, so once again, the customer has zero choice. They have the cheek to ask at the end of the payment if you’d like to leave a tip. A tip for what exactly? Definitely not choice or service. There are plenty of good local pizza places. I won’t be visiting Pizza Hut again.

We came here they didn't let us use washroom and told us to buy things then we will let you use the washroom....that doesn't suit to an international chain

If I wanted to order pizza online instead of being served by a waiter, I would have just stayed at home and got a Domino's. It would have been better service and better food.

Pizza and garlic bread was fantastically delicious in this branch, definitely much much better than other branches of pizza hut. Staff was ultimate.

Service was very slow, to the point we looked at everyone in the restaurant and no one apart from one table had food! Salad choice is rubbish. Pizza was warm but not much taste and cost £50 for 2 small pizza and 2 drinks Def won't be back

The new way of ordering is equivalent to having a takeaway but you have a table. Impersonal and a total pain if you're struggling with the QR code, as no-one comes near you to check on you.

Me and my wife absolutely love this place and the menu plus the salad bar. Unlimited salad is amazing and the chicken supreme pizza with bottomless cherry Pepsi is just perfect to wash it all down then a trip to the cinema.

Arrived at 8.35. Ordered by 8.45. Salad bar stripped by 8.50. Asked if we wanted the 4 slices still on the sharing board boxed at 8.55. Had the plate I was still eating from lifted at 8.57, I obviously stopped the waitress from doing this. Not advised on arrival that we were limited in time, food and drinks before we ordered. Absolutely terrible customer experience

We decided on a whim to take our kids out for lunch. We visited Pizza Hut just after 12.15. The restaurant was quiet, and we were seated quickly. Everything is now ordered and paid through your phone, which, I'll be honest, is a bit meh! We opted for 2 all in kids and 2 all in adults' buffets. This included bottomless drinks and ice cream as well as pizza, pasta, and salad. All the pizza and pasta were hot and fresh, it was topped up and replaced regularly. The only downfall was the salad bar. A lot of it was near empty and needing freshed up. Place was clean and staff were friendly.

Greeters were helpful and friendly and service good. Ordering is cashless and done via the app which is a shame as it makes it less personal and reduces down the contact with staff. Good was quick, hot and fresh

Our visit was great apart from overhearing a manager giving a young staff member a particularly hard time. Sounded almost like bullying to me.

Still a great menu but technology ( order by app at the table ) has reduced the waiting staff role to such an extent that customer service has suffered.

Went in for lunch and shared a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza. About as good as Pizza Hut gets and no complaints about the food. Staff also very attentive and friendly. The only complaint I have would be the seating was so close to the drinks area it made me a little uncomfortable having a conversation when others were standing around nearby.

Even the icecream was horrible! Food over cooked, service nonexistent. Waste of money.

I haven't been to Pizza Hut for years and the prices caught me off guard. £20 unlimited buffet seemed steep unless you could eat until breaking point which I can't so I just sat while my two companions ate. Now that you prefer from app to your table the wait staff didn't have much interaction which must affect their tips. I can honestly say I won't be visiting PH in a hurry but nothing to do with this establishment as the staff were courteous and professional.

awful awful awful. received a freezing cold delivery with missing side dish. no one would take responsibility. Uber said speak to pizza hut and pizza hut said speak to Uber. not using either again

Staff were fab, but the app for pickup needs sorted. Poor staff were dealing with difficult customers left right and center due to the app allocating a time that was impossible for the kitchen to match

Me and my family love Pizza Hut. It's been a while since we have been but the staff were great and the food was as fantastic as it always is.

Went here and couldn't believe the price 11 inch stuffed crust meat pizza £18.94 luckily had meerkat meals so got 2 for 1 and you also get the free salad bar. But even with meerkat meals don't think will be back can get 16 inch meat feast pizza from takeaway shop for £12 and it got about 3x more topping than pizza huts one

It was a great experience from start to finish from staff and food will defiantly back , well done keep up the great work Xx

Would score zero if possible. Food was good but that was it. The manager appeared to not care at all about his staff or customers. The poor girl attempting to serve us did not have a clue what she was doing, did not know what a wine glass is and has no support what so ever. We had to wait over 1hr for our food and drinks. We needed to ask several time if our drinks were coming and were on the verge of leaving when our food arrived. Numerous people arrived after us and were served and left before our food arrived. The restaurant wasn't even a 3rd full so no excuse about being busy. Will NEVER EVER go again and 100% do not recommend. Zero score.

Food was lovely and hot, salad bar had just been refreshed, servers were polite and helpful and the toilets were nice and clean.

Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were brilliant, made a mistake by giving us the wrong pizza but quickly fixed it by giving us the one we ordered for free alongside the other one. Great visit!

when everywhere was booked we decided to do mothers day here. Went for the all you can eat buffet with ice cream. Delicious.

It's pizza hut! When you require reliable food rather than experiencing something new, it's a great place to go. This particular establishment had friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I made a mistake with my ordering and the staff were approachable and understood the error and helped me out which was very much appreciated.

Don't think I will be there again they have changed the way you are served you need to do all ordering on your phone threw the qr code and also they don't do starters anymore all the food now comes together . They don't do starters now thay are sides and by the time you have eating them your pizza is only warm not hot

Can be a little busy, but food is always good, if a little pricey.

Unfortunately a racist place, me and my wife waiting to be seated were not attended for several minutes and we left and ordered pizza online. Then I saw they accepted a Scottish family immediately when they arrive. I have high respect for people working in these businesses, but will not be visiting this place again. The waitress shouted at me to zoom out the order number as if I didn't know how to. I work as an enterprise architect for an international software company. Feeling ashamed I made the wrong decision to travel to Scotland instead of the USA or England.

Food was great, excellent selection, but slightly pricey for a family with kids.

The speed of ordering to eating was great. The choice of pizzas in the buffet was very good and despite being busy the place was lovey and clean.

The whole package, the greeting, cleanliness of the place, availablity of the food (Inc menu and salad bar) the quickness, quality of food and service!

Food is pizza hut. So expectations are already pretty mediocre. Service can't be judged as it was all done via a QR code on the table so never had any interaction with staff.

Staff looked bored and didn't even come to table to ask if everything was OK with food. Place was dirty, also dirty plates in buffet area. £16 for pizza and salad.. just no!! Staff member came over when we we were eating and asked to pay our bill. Told her no till we had finished incase we wanted something else. No sugar served with coffee that came late.. Not impressed and won't be back till its changed! 😡

You are doing yourself no favours Pizza hut . Your prices made us turn around and head elsewhere £24 for a pizza no thanks

Went in for a buffet lunch, told to wait 15 minutes due to staff shortage. Then no pizzas ready, when they finally came out they were slow to put new ones out due to it being busy. Left feeling ripped off. The Manageress attitude stunk also.

Hate the online ordering and payment system

The staff member who appeared to be in charge was clearly disinterested, almost to the point of rudeness. The pizza was barely lukewarm. We had to chase to get our desserts. A thoroughly disappointing visit and we won't be back.

My experience with Pizza Hut was terrible . I have been waiting 2hours for my pizzas. I ask the staff to cancel my order but they have told me not posible, then I ask how long I need to wait to get my food the staff was very rude to me . Ask them to give me my money back so I can leave they didn’t do that. If you are thinking about going there just don’t it’s not worth it. I really don’t recommend them 👎👎👎👎👎👎

Today I order food from Pizza Hut I waited for the food more than 2 and a half hour and he food was cold. Don’t order food from Pizza Hut !! The staff is terrible and I will never order food again from that place .

Typical Pizza Hut - Pizza's met expectations and staff were friendly and helpful. You can order food on-line whilst sat at your table. Waitress took our order and they requirement payment for food on taking your order.

No lunchtime buffet during weekdays, expect for Fridays!

I want to give Pizza Hut ZERO stars. It’s a complete pish pizza, cold and stale. Yukh thoo. The pizza leaves a bad cardboard taste in your mouth. The staff is unbelievably rude and uncooperative. Don’t waste money.

Came for my son's birthday and they hadn't got our table ready to start with, and the staff member who was in charge was rude and clearly stressed out, considering the lack of patrons in, he clearly is in the wrong job! The food has to now be ordered via your phone's , which is probably a blessing that the staff can't get that wrong. The waitress forgot a drink and the food was left on the side for a 5/10 mins to go cold before one of our party had to ask if that was our order who was meet with a rude and disgruntled manner. Can honestly say, I would never come back as their customer service is shocking and food is below average and cold !

Stoped in after going to tescos , looking forwards to a nice pizza The three of us decided to get unlimited pizza , we have 6 slices between us and decided it was time to leave . Pizza has barely any taste . No new pizzas were brought out so we were eating cold pizza . After paying £16 each for pizza and juice you would expect some warm pizza atleast Staff don’t care and clearly don’t want to be there Wont be back

Dirty plates, cutlery and glassware. Poor customer service, run down decor with massive holes in the seats. Pizza was very good but sides were very poor.

Food was lovely, staff could have been a bit quicker clearing the table and bringing us our deserts.

Dont know if it was just the Dundee branch or not but limited salad selection at Pizza Hut now with the likes of Nachos and a few other things no longer available. A lot of the items on the salad trays looked like they had been there for some time with only a light covering on top of fresh ingredients to cover the aged items. I used to like a Pizza Hut for a change but don't think I'll be going back for a while.

It was terrible. Has to order online (sitting in pizza hut) to bad if you didthave a phone. Only 1 member of staff was interested in us (rest didt care) food was just ok. You could only pay with you catd (online when you ordered) they didttake cash. The place was dirty didt look like it had been cleaned for years, the test tube on the lights where unbelievably dirty don't think they had ever been cleaned. Don't go only gave 1 star as you had to give something.
