Absolutely terrible, stay away from these clowns. After an hour got no food and never had worse service. They accepted the order but had no burgers to cook. The guy in the phone had a terrible attitude and told me my phone number was wrong even though they phoned and texted me plenty in the past. They just posted a reply which shows their rotten attitude. Take criticism to improve your service. Apparently being offered macaroni cheese but me telling them I'm vegan is 'childish' and 'pathetic'. People are vegan, get over it. Disgusted.

been going for a while now but since the costs have went up theres been smaller portions for example the sausage supper is just a kids sausage and a half but other than rhe smaller portions everyone is freinds and its a great time in general (little edit) i went through some of the other reviews here and im not gonna lie the owner seems like a jerk most of his replys are "iv been doing this for 40 years. thats your opinion." and all in all being a jerk to the customers that dont like what he does which is just pure arrogance if theres an issue with food or bagging or anything try and work it out without insulting a customer i worked in a restaurant for some time at the weavers mill and from my experience the entire point of opening a food shop or a restaurant or a takeaway is to connect with customers and give them a good time from what iv seen and heard while at the fish bar it was a fairly okay time but reviews and responses from the owner say otherwise would reccomend the chippers on the arbroath road its less than half the prices over that way and the people who run it are super kind \_(0-0)_/

Been using this local chippy for couple of years and have tried most items on menu.......food is always freshly cooked while you wait.......ive never been disappointed with anything ive purchased.

Don’t ever visit this place. They got my order wrong and when I pulled them up on it I was made to feel as if I was lying. I could pay less for a fish supper that was as I requested elsewhere in the city and it would be as I asked it to be. I’ll never go back to this place even though it is my closest chip shop other places deserve my business - the victor fish bar don’t.

i ordered this on web site and it said it was going to be 1 hr 15 min for delivery this time past and we waited another 15 min before calling them they said it would be with us in 5 min but 5 min turned into 45 food arrived with food all over the place and we would NEVER recommend this chipper if you want food on time or hot

Went in other night with my 7 year old son, to over hear staff member complaining about a delivery order, to then the girl behind counter took my order, to watch the other lady take a smoked sausage and put in microwave. On asking if it had been microwaved the young girl said no and the older lady started shouting abuse at me and using foul language, then the you girl threw one of my packages at me for answering her back, if they where my staff they would of been sacked on spot, I will definitely will not be giving them my custom in the future, and the two serving were not the cleanest.

Wont be ordering from them again. Got swore at by driver which is bang out of order and all I did was open the door and said thank you. Drivers represent the company. 100's of different choices which I will choose. Food was cold and late. Lateness i can forgive. Arrogance I wont !!

Really good,traditional neighbourhood chipper. Expect a 5 minute wait as most food is cooked fresh. Nice chatty staff, good banter.

One of the few chippies still doing home made battered mushrooms - which are delicious, & well worth travelling accross town for!

I ordered a cod supper,it didn’t taste like cod. The batter was soggy and the manager in the chipper said he cooked it longer.it didn’t look like it to me. I have had a lot good cod suppers in the past out the victor the batter crispy and fish tasted great. On this occasion quality of batter not good at all and not sure about the taste off the fish or cod.

I have not eaten a chippy in years and the smell wafting in the air was too good to resist. I asked for a Fritter which I munched on as I walked home. The vinegar n paper added to the chippy which I really enjoyed. The menu they have is extensive so plenty of choice

I am a regular here when I want fish and chips. It's a nice thin batter that covers the food instead of the thick soggy batter in other establishments. The staff are always nice and polite and the food prices are reasonable.

The quality of the food was not even close to being adequate. The staff are the most useless people I have ever came across in my life. One of them looked as though she had been on smack all morning and didn't even know who she was. After she wrote down the order, she made it wrong and then claimed it wasn't written down. I won't be back

Went to victor for one of their delicious burgers won't find another one like it Staff were friendly even got a smile from the wee girl on the counter 😂

I ordered a Haddock Supper and single battered Cod over the phone.I was disappointed at the poor quality of the chips. They were cold and soggy and sticking together and some of the chips were black. The Haddock and battered Cod was good but the chips were a disaster. What is happening is the chips are sitting in a compartment for a long time due to this they are going cold and soggy.

I went into the Victor for two white pudding suppers just before 7 o’clock, not a large order. Staff were concentrating on orders but could have said that it would be a long wait. I didn’t get the two pudding suppers until just after twenty past seven. If staff had said there would be this delay we could have went down to the Tay Fry Inn for a quicker service. If everyone ordered on line then the Victor would lose money, better to serve the folk inside first. Disappointing service.

normally decent from here but the food arrived late, batter was chewy for some reason, chips and fritters were undercooked and the fish was full of bones. very average and probably wouldn't bother with it again, they could do a lot better.

The food is nice but with an hour and a half (two hours tonight) wait time for a portion of chips and battered sausages it doesn't seem worth it. Unfortunate that when I call im always told thats just their delivery times. Delivery was expected at 9.55- its now 10.30 and it just arrived.

Delicious food .. best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

Took an hour and a half for delivery and the 2 jumbo sausages were 2 small sausages, chips were full of bad bits and overdone. Never ordering from here again not worth the money

Ordered food was a bit late no problem only thing was they sent a fish supper with no fish again mistakes happen I called the shop to tell them the girl on the phone found this so funny I got my fish supper and they sent ice cream I have no issue with food being late or even missing food the thing that annoyed me was being laughed at I am a customer so why ?

Fish and food tasted great but food late and a bit soggy rather than crispy.

Delivery time was shocking understand a restraunt can be busy but two hours for a fish supper😏 fish was so small for the price might as well have ordered a small supper!! Onion rings clearly not home made obviously out the freezer n into the frier could buy a bag for the price of them and cook them at home! Normally a really good place to order from clearly something ain't right tonight and will be sceptical of ordering from here again pitty really.

Waited 2 hours for our food 45 mins after delivery time stated, eventually when food got here it was nothing short of poor standard. The fish was the only decent thing supplied the rest was fit for the bin. Standards have slipped with this place what used to be a great chipper has became nothing but disappointment. get your act together

Victor is always fantastic but I was a wee bit disappointed this time as my fish was not up to the usual excellent standard. Everything else was spot on though so hopefully just a one-off and it wouldn't put me off ordering here at all, fish is normally superb.

Food was piping hot, delicious and on time - what more can you ask for

On this occasion we ordered our usual, chips and curry sauce with some other items. There was a grit like substance in the sauce. It could not be chewed as it was cracking our teeth, at first we thought it was salt but after it started to get painful we stopped eating it. I can only describe the sensation as when you are at the beach and sand gets in your mouth and you can feel it crunching your teeth. To reiterate this was not the chips but the sauce. Other than that the rest of the food was fine as usual.

The fish supper was excellent the chips were hot and not sogey peas were proper mushy delivered was on time and the driver was polite I can't fault this place I would definitely recommend it to anyone I will definitely be back

ordered before 8, got delivery time of 9:10, arrived around 9:30. very disappointed as delivery is usually swift and food great. hesitant to ever order again

Fast delivery! Fritters didn't taste very good... Maybe undercooked. Scampi was good but not great. The chicken and ribs were alright, but not good.

More than once I've ordered pizza and have to say the quality of it is awful, usually burnt in places, the minimum of toppings possible and tonight floury and stodgy, very disappointed!!!! Last time I will order pizza from here

Fantastic food, arrived piping hot 30 mins earlier than stated so that was great. They forgot to out in the curry sauce but I called and it was sorted out quickly so I'd say their customer service is excellent

Chips weren't so good this time, which is a shame - bit overdone and soggy but the chicken was yet again fab!

Food was excellent and the batter just tore away from the fish which is the way i like it. The chovolate puddle was to die for and kept hot long after it was delivered. Delivery was fast with no issues

Fitters we're hard and dry No salt and vinegar on food when requested Rude customer service on phone Pea buster had tinned mushy peas not real ones. Delivery took over 1.5 hours to come. Poor quality food

Pizza was burned on every part of the top, the base felt like solid concrete and rarely you bit into part where your teeth couldn't cope, otherwise A Dangerous parallel in place

Food is always amazing but the delivery time is horrendous. Everytime we order its at least an 1 and a half - 2 hours for delivery. When it eventually gets here its great though.

2nd time I have ordered from them and every bite I took there was little bones in the fish , to many! The quality was not good and the chips were undercooked and stale. It's a shame because the place itself is nice.

Order was 20 mins later than the time stated which had also been pushed back 15 mins. Phoned up to ask for onion rings to be put on order to be paid in cash, when delivery driver came to door, paid for onion rings in cash but no onion rings in the bag? Food quality was excellent despite it taking 1.5 hours to deliver

Lovely food, quick delivery and friendly delivery driver, thanks guys. I was missing one sauce with mozzarella sticks but these things happen, no problem, would definitely order again.
