Victor Chip Shop in Dundee City

Their pepperoni pizza was delicious, but I found the fried food had a really bitter aftertaste which might mean they needed an oil change. The price of this chippy is also a bit more expensive than other local chippies at £15.80 for the small pizza and a sausage supper.

Fantastic service. Food lovely despite the lateness of my order. Shop stayed open a bit longer as the person picking up the food got lost. 10/10 for quality. 11/10 for great customer service 🙂

Too expensive,not value for money they are giving small fish slice @ 4.70pound which is 4 inches long one inches width. Doing a unprofessional business they don’t know what sauce served with what food As a examples fried fish should have been served with tartar sauce but they asked .50 pence for a small sachets which is serving free in Macdonald Burger king

First time ordering from The Victor tonight and I will definitely be back! Had the small breaded haddock supper, dead crispy and plenty of chips. The curry sauce was top notch too (ended up mopping the leftovers with bread and butter). Lovely staff behind the counter too, cheers guys!

I’ve lived opposite the victor fish bar for a while now and always visit this chippy with my friends. The majority of the staff are absolutely lovely and do their jobs extremely efficiently. However a particular member of staff is always extremely slow at their job, doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing, and gets the order wrong time after time even after double checking. The food from the Victor is always fresh and good however, this one member of staff always makes me apprehensive on if I should visit or not. I do not mind waiting for my food at all, especially if it is being made to order, however I would appreciate if wait times could be more accurate and not be told “it’ll be done in 10” to come back 10 minutes later and then still have to wait in the shop for another 10 minutes.

Absolutely fantastic fish, clearly freshly cooked and as crispy as it gets. I have tried probably all the local chippys on JustEat and The Victor is the best by a mile, might be a little bit more expensive than some but worth every penny.

My usual go to chippy was shut so I decided to read the reviews for Victor, I have had such a belly laugh at your replies I had to order just to see what I would get. 2 crispy battered sausage, so hot I burnt my tongue twice due to sheer greed on my part. I'm not a chip fan I general, they weren't bad, but I still ate the lot, crispy chips were on point though! delivery right at the beginning of the window, a good chippy in Dundee is hard to find, but you've delivered and have me a laugh 👌

Have been going to this chip shop for years and the foods always good, first time I have had it delivered and couldn’t ask for more, food wasn’t soggy, chips were nice and golden. All in all I would give them 6 out of 5 but I can’t.

Fast, Efficient and excellent customer service. Food was piping hot and tasted amazing. Don’t understand why people are giving this establishment soo much stick when in reality it’s one of the only chippys in Dundee that are still actually good. On my side the order was still showing as “confirming with restaurant” I called and the man explained there was issues with JustEat and that my order was on the way and about 4 mins later I get my food. You can’t get it better anywhere else. Thanks lads

One of the worst fish suppers I have ever had. Everything was dry and tasteless and was as if it had been lying all day - it was anything but fresh. Would not recommend.

2 hours later still no food says it would take 45 mins phoned 40 mins ago and hadn’t even left yet, if they had accurate delivery times up maybe people can go elsewhere when they don’t want to wait over 2 hours

been going for a while now but since the costs have went up theres been smaller portions for example the sausage supper is just a kids sausage and a half but other than rhe smaller portions everyone is freinds and its a great time in general (little edit) i went through some of the other reviews here and im not gonna lie the owner seems like a jerk most of his replys are "iv been doing this for 40 years. thats your opinion." and all in all being a jerk to the customers that dont like what he does which is just pure arrogance if theres an issue with food or bagging or anything try and work it out without insulting a customer i worked in a restaurant for some time at the weavers mill and from my experience the entire point of opening a food shop or a restaurant or a takeaway is to connect with customers and give them a good time from what iv seen and heard while at the fish bar it was a fairly okay time but reviews and responses from the owner say otherwise would reccomend the chippers on the arbroath road its less than half the prices over that way and the people who run it are super kind \_(0-0)_/

Absolutely terrible, stay away from these clowns. After an hour got no food and never had worse service. They accepted the order but had no burgers to cook. The guy in the phone had a terrible attitude and told me my phone number was wrong even though they phoned and texted me plenty in the past.

Apparently being offered macaroni cheese but me telling them I'm vegan is 'childish' and 'pathetic'. People are vegan, get over it. Disgusted.

It says please enjoy your food on just eat but I haven't recieved anything Its not here. (Currently 15 minutes late) The address is definitely correct I've ordered from here 3 or 4 times in the past few weeks with no problems If it was running late why would it let me review the food early as if it's been delivered?

I normally enjoy a chicken leg from the victor but there was none on the menu.I decided to go for the breaded haddock which tasted like it had been lying for some time.It had a fusty taste which was totally disgusting and inedible.Cost me £16 odd for the fish supper and delivery which went in the bin.Won’t be ordering again from the victor.That was enough to put me off risking something else to go in bin.Disgusting!
