Pizza Express Harlow in Harlow

Great customer service, everyone was so friendly, kind and absolutely hilarious. Food was impeccable, came out fresh and hot and within a reasonable time frame. Will definitely be a new spot for me and my friends.

Really disappointed with the service we received at pizza express harlow this evening. We visit quite regularly and have noticed a decrease in service over the last 3 visits. Tonight we booked a table, the restaurant wasn’t busy and we opted to sit outside. 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take a drink order. Food was good as always but when we had finished eating we waited and waited for the plates to be cleared and to get a dessert menu. 45 MINUTES PAST ! Not a single server popped a head out to help us. Fed up, Payed the bill in full on the app and walked out. Even us leaving didn’t get a look.

Went to Pizza Express in the Water Gardens in Harlow. I don’t think I’ve come across the level of rudeness from staff in a restaurant before. I don’t think any of them like there job they’re all so miserable, slow and unhelpful. I’ve always wondered why this place was always empty now I know why. The one in Epping is soooo much better, happy staff means happy customers.

Eleven 13 year old girls didn’t faze the wonderful manager and our lovely waitress (forgot both names, sorry! the manager was a blonde white lady and the waitress and dark haired Asian lady) food was perfect, fast service, great quality and such good value, lovely and clean - will be going again for sure better than the Epping restaurant 🤩 the young waiter with dark hair even picked the best drawing competition such nice people

Worse service ever. No host at the door, 3 women running like headless chickens trying to make up tables for booked seats. Keeping people at the door for 15 minutes just to say in thw end they don't have seats. Dont bother even going and wasting your time

My daughter and I had a great time here! The dough balls were incredible and I especially loved the truffle dough balls!

I bought my partner here for a rare meal out and was very disappointed. We ordered margherita pizzas and when they arrived we noticed there wasn't alot of cheese on them at all! So my partner sent hers back and they made her a new one which was nice of them. When paying quite alot of money for a pizza, I was expecting a somewhat decent pizza, but I've had nicer frozen pizzas. After eating, we had to wait quite a long time before we could order desserts. It was over 30 mins of us just sitting there waiting. Then it was too late for us to order dessert as we had somewhere to be. For the price we paid I would have expected nicer food and for better service. The staff were very nice and they are over worked and were struggling. Pizza express need to employ more staff. But overall, I wouldn't eat in there again.

I cannot praise the staff at Pizza Express enough for the fantastic service and delicious food. A shout out in particular to Michelle who looked after us all evening . Michelle made our young people so welcome . . We will definitely visit again

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews as I like to think a bad experience can be turned around if dealt with correctly at the time. You can probably guess by my rating that this was not the case. We booked a table a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the end of our children’s SATS, we were a large party made up of 8 children and 6 adults. Unfortunately things were not promising from the off. It took 40 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. Then another 30 mins to take our food order. Our mains arrived when our starters hadn’t even been cleared. We then sat there for over an hour after finishing our meal waiting for someone to come and clear the plates. We also waited a long time for second drinks to arrive (water for the children got completely forgotten). We twice had to get up and go and find a member of staff. I ended up asking a waiter to please assist us as we had been waiting so long. He then proceeded to ask what desserts we wanted so I pointed out to him that he may want to clear the table first. We then got our desserts but we were missing a coffee and a dessert so had to wait again! Then whilst eating our desserts a chef came out from behind the kitchen with a large grey box and started clearing all the plates into it. It was laughable at the stage as it felt like we were in a school canteen as he was resting the box on the dinning tables! He should not have had to do this but was being quite vocal that there was staffing problems. By this stage we had quite enough as what was suppose to be a pleasant evening of celebration ending up being overshadowed by the never ending delay and non existent services. We asked to see the manager who seemed to take forever to come to our table (probably for fear of what to expect). When she eventually turned up and we explained how unhappy we had been with the service, we were told that it was due a never ending list of things from sickness, lack of staff, that Pizza Express offered too many deals which meant they couldn’t cope with the amount of customers coming through the door. So Pizza Express, if you actually take time to read reviews, please can you… 1: Hire enough staff 2: Train your staff 3: Ensure the manager is able to be on the restaurant floor at all times as how can they manage what is going on if they are stuck at a coffee machine at the back. 4: If the restaurant is short staffed, allow the manager to turn customers at the door away, as you would rather offer 50 people good service than 100 people bad service, do the maths, it’s not hard to work out how many people you will gain or loose from their experience with you, as this evening you have definitely lost the business from 5 sets of families.

Do not bother. Service is poor & food no better. Decore was nasty & strange oder was present. Staff could not answer why. Had to send back the pizza, over cooked & hard. This place is a mistake to visit. The most terrible restaurant I ever visited

My family visited the Harlow Pizza Express this evening for my little girls birthday. Sadly the restaurant wasn’t busy but we had a lovely time! The chef allowed my 2 youngest to make their pizzas which they loved! Staff very friendly and attentive! Food lovely & we didn’t wait long. After the meal, the staff bought over a chocolate brownie with a candle on it & we all sang happy Birthday to my 3 year old & she loved it! Thank you to the lovely ladies at Harlow, it’s been a while since we have been in but we will definitely be back!

We booked for my daughter and 8 of her friends for her birthday. When we arrived we saw a sign saying no service in the restaurant due to unforeseen circumstances. When we knocked on the door to enquire what was going on and why no one had let us know that the restaurant could only do takeaways this evening we were told we had never booked and dismissed by a very rude lady. We all know following the last 18 months that these things happen but please can people be courteous and let people know when it does. Restaurants quite rightly have complained about no shows but don’t care when they leave their customers high and dry. I am now left with a distraught daughter, her and 8 friends to feed on a Saturday at 6:30pm and 8 families having to accommodate changes to plans. This place does not deserve your custom. Pleas find somewhere else to go where owners/staff can realise how their actions impact others. By the way it is only 1 star as this app won’t let me give none or minus.

today i visited pizza express harlow with my friend so we could go for a nice lunch. food was great and came very quickly however, the staff working were unkind un enthusiastic and whoever employed them clearly didn’t know who they were hiring, due to the waitress claiming she couldn’t care less about her job. she was rude and put me off of my food. she had no emotion and didn’t smile or even open her mouth just gave looks i like the food but you should reconsider you let staff #nevergoingback yours sincerely eva and gemma xxx

They were short staffed but still managed to cater to a busy lunchtime crowd. Friendly, polite and the chef didn’t stop, it was great seeing her make the dough bases with such flair.

Awful. Pizza so oily. They had no drinks other then water. Not happy I will not return Left hungry. Didn’t finish 1 slice of my pizza

We came here today for lunch, the manger is always very friendly and chatty. The staff were attentive and food was delicious. Keep up the good work pizza express!

Tried a few pizzas. They are quite good, but I wouldn’t define them “Italian”. Better than the other pizzas in Harlow anyways! Prices are a bit too high.

Considering how empty the restaurant was you'd have thought the staff would have made a bit of an effort. Takeaway Pizza was quite nice, on the left, just a shame the right was badly burnt, and would it have been so difficult to even attempt...

The food was over priced for what it was worth. The pizza itself was way to thin and my girlfriends pasta had way to much cheese on it. At the end of the night they stuck the service charge on it which some places do but when we asked for it to be removed the manager was rude about it and the staff was standing there in the corner keep looking over at us and talking. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
