Young girl with brown hair, I believe was the manager, she was superb and seated us to a lovely table and made sure we had a fantastic time.

Don’t normally leave reviews but had a very bad/strange experience with a staff member here. Had a voucher that didn’t work on their scanner through no fault of my own and really politely just asked to clarify with the manager whether it was valid, prompting her to go off shouting and screaming and mimicking me. Maybe caught on a bad day? Won’t be going back in a hurry

Hi everyone reading this review. Tonight I ordered a prawn pizza and paid extra for spinach. There were only x6 small prawns on the pizza itself... And to add insult to injury, half of the slices didn't have any prawns on them at all..... Wooo! I thought I'd paid £17.80 for a PRAWN pizza....... Obviously NOT!

The Pasta was fresh and well cooked, it was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We had stopped eating at this branch for a while because the old chef or maybe a daytime chef never used to cook the pasta enough and it was too hard, but these past few months the chef they have now cooks the food properly and very good, so instead of having to travel to clapham or balham branches we now eat at the Kennington branch.

I didn’t receive my daughter juice and her pizza was bit burn but in rest everything perfect

Pre-scheduled a delivery and then it still arrived 25 mins late and it was cold so I had to put it all in the oven before eating

Excellent service. I used the Pizza Express app, which enabled me to use some rewards (every bit of saving money helps these days 😊)

I popped into pizza express in Kennington with my friend. We were extremely surprised by the quality of the food. the ambiance was great and most importantly was the lovely welcome of the staff and their attention to detail. The staff really made the evening an enjoyable one and we will be both returning very soon .

Very bad service. Delivery late. Pizza arrived very cold. And the free item as part of ordering more than £30 worth didn't arrive/was not part of order. Won't order again from this restaurant. Rubbish service.

Had a great dinner with friends and had the new Christmas Feat Pizza and Pomegranate Sparkle which were both AMAZING! We were served by Rasa who was lovely and very helpful - will definitely be coming back! X

Very disappointed with the pizza which we were looking forward to. Ordered extra ham but there wasn't any. the bread was undercooked, only a handful of olives and virtually no tomato base. I expect much better than that from Pizza Express and will probably not order again

Second time we have been here and had incredibly slow service. Clearly prioritising takeaway riders through a separate window. Would suggest you try another pizza express restaurant.

If you operate a pizza restaurant, being able to cook pizza is a minimum requirement. Pizza was overcooked, too hard to cut and the egg solid. First time in a pizza express that I've not been asked how the meal was.

Very tasty pizzas. Keep ordering and reordering every few weeks/months.

Esta zona del sur de Londres es bastante corta en buenos restaurantes. Incluso los pubs - los pocos que quedan no sirven comida todo el día, por lo que la elección puede ser un poco limitada. La pizza nunca es mi primera opción, pero este lugar estaba convenientemente situado cerca del The Oval, donde acababa de asistir a un evento, y había aparcamiento cerca. El servicio fue excelente en todo. Amable, eficiente, profesional. La comida tampoco estaba tan mal. Opté por una mozzarella de búfalo y entrante de tomate, que en realidad era muy agradable. Los tomates eran muy dulces, y la llovizna pesto estaba manchada. Aunque me decepcionó encontrar solo la mitad de la porción habitual de mozzarella. A 7 libras. 95 por tiro, esperaría toda la porción de mozzarella. Es claramente una estratagema cínica de ahorro de dinero, dado que la mozzarella es el elemento más caro de ese plato, pero esa es la única observación negativa (ver fotos) . El plato principal fue una pasta pesto de pollo bastante agradable - fusilli en salsa cremosa bechamel con pollo, hongos, cebollas rojas, mozzarella y queso Gran Milano. Todo iba acompañado de una botella grande de peroni - ¿qué más? El postre nunca es necesario, pero sigue siendo una tentación, así que tiramisú tenía que ser. Tengo que admitir que fue tan bueno como cualquiera que haya tenido. Siempre es un alivio ver que no había ningún cargo por servicio 'opcional', por lo que la factura final por uno llegó a poco menos de £ 40. Eso es un logro en estos días, por lo que un gran pulgar hacia arriba en todo.

driver couldn't find my address, Pizza was luke warm, and no taste yet again. This is poor standards

The pizza was quite good. Enough for one person, to share I would recomend any Romana as they are bigger + some appetizers. About the local is OK but it was hot. They don't have the air conditioning on and the kitchen is open, so yes, it is hot and if you come from outside looking for a shelter to eat.... You can't find it, at least in our case. The staff is not rude, but they could be a bit nicer. I understand that working in front of the public can be tiring, but we were asked up to 4 times if we wanted the bill when we were still eating... It seemed like they wanted us to leave as soon as possible, and it was only 14.15/14.20pm.

We went to Pizza Express after we had been at the Oval. Just as well we had booked because it was super busy. The staff were brilliant and in a short time everyone was eating. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious.

REVIEW ON PIZZA EXPRESS.PIZZA GOOD SIZE, GOOD TOPPINGS. 21 SHEETS GOOD VALUE. HOWEVER......PIZZA TASTELESS YET AGAIN UNST THE PIZZA WASNT SHEATHED SO IT WASN'T HOT OVERALL I GIVE IT A SCORE OF 6.8/10

The staff at this branch of Pizza Express are the best. They are always so friendly and efficient. Most recently, they ensured that my daughter and her friends had lots of fun at her pizza party.

Pizza express forgot the dip that comes with the milanese and the delivery driver seemed as though he was just hanging around another block near by my house therefore pizza pretty cold

Ok folk i thought i give Pizza Express another go. This time from different site. Well Overall size very good 8/10 Overall Taste of Sloppy Guiseppe large classic 5.5/10 The leftover pizza was actually better cold Conclusion PE taste quality has dropped off the radar, not impressed Again.

They claim it was king prawns on a large pizza. I received 7 full tiny prawns. They made me stand outside like I was a delivery driver

It was a late order but the pizza wasn’t as great as it normally is .. he topping was in the middle and lacking from the biggest part near the crust topper level. The mozzarella & tomato salad was presented lovely , tomato’s tasty but the cheese was tough and seems old. I did order close to the closing time maybe that’s why ..

We learned that this restaurant is on the site of a Victorian corner pub, which in turn is on the triangle of land where a windmill once stood. Hence Windmill Lane. Looking out from the apex window, opposite you can see the rather magnificent former town hall, with its classical frontage pillars and pediment. An even more grand classical building, Imperial House, is just out of sight, once the site of the Licensed Victuallers school, so popular that admittance was by lottery only. This iteration of Pizza Express must have been a local outlet for its founder, because his portrait appears twice, once as a huge oil painting on the stairs, and again in the basement as a line drawing. Our service was efficient, thorough and friendly. The food good. A lovely way to spend a weekend lunch.

We had a number of starters to share. Beautifully flavoured using very fresh ingredients. The chocolate fondant (with a coffee) was a great way to finish. Wonderful service. Thank you.

Unfortunately the waiter that served us at Kennington Pizza express was very dismissive, inpatient and careless. He did not write down our order and therefor there was an issue with cross contamination and my 5yo had an allergic reaction. We always go to the Pimlico Pizza Express and never EVER had an issue.

Ordered a takeaway, 2 pizzas. They delivered one…cold! Spoke to manager who said he would resend two piazzas…waited over and hour and 4 phone calls later says he can’t do anything as it was through just eat…shocking! Avoid at all costs

Our office is nearby and we go to Pizza Express for any special team lunches. The team are always friendly and welcoming, the space is clean and relaxing, and the food is always delicious and served quickly. Today especially, we were served by Julias and he made our experience 10/10. We look forward to enjoying lots more lunches here to come.

The Kennington branch is fantastic. Julius and his staff are amazing and we always receive friendly and quick service. I have taken my class on a school visit and they also had a superb experience. Today myself and my work colleague dined for lunch and the atmosphere was lovely. Came here twice the food is good but the service is even better the blonde female waiter is very pleasant and polite and so was the male waiter with the glasses and the dark hair amazing

I don’t usually go to chain restaurants but went to the the pizza express given the time of the day and didn’t have many choices. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the pizzas were not too bad. It’s not an exceptionally good pizza or anything that stands out from other pizza places but it has a good variety of options to cater for many dietary requirements so also a plus. The salad could have been more exciting but again it is just a side salad and nothing special. Good friendly and quick service even towards the end of the evening.

Horrible! Never order again. I ordered 7 pizza's, but only received 3. The problem started with the fact that the driver gave us 3 pizzas instead of 7 and told us the other 4 were to be expected soon. Some already finished while others where waiting the entire evening for the other 4 pizzas. I had to call 2 times and they constantly gave me the idea that it was coming soon. In the end, they blamed the uber drivers for not coming and I ended up without the pizzas.

Came into pizza express as we were really hungry and it was the nearest place to us on Google maps. So glad we did, it's one of the best Pizza Express branches we've been to. The hospitality and staff are brilliant, really accommodating. Never felt rushed and always felt catered to. Specifc shout out to Deniz! It was a busy night and she kept catering to us with a huge smile on her face - thank you!
