This was my first time at Black and Bliue Waterloo and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing that atmosphere was fun, but what made the evening really truly wonderful with our server Patrick. He was accommodating, friendly l, funny, and made our whole experience wonderful. Highly recommend!

Meal before travelling home from Waterloo. We had ribs which were lovely and we had to take some home as we couldn't finish them. Good service

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience, starting with the exceptional service from your manager and staff. Our drinks, appetizers, and main course were all delightful. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, complemented by a great vibe. The music was just right, adding to the comforting ambiance. Thank you for providing the perfect conclusion to an already wonderful day!

Absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the staff here, the mannerism are awful and nothing worse than a person sounding like a strained cat whining in front of customers. Clearly in the wrong profession and should treat customers with consideration and respect. This sadly was not the case. Avoid here unless you want to be paying for being treated like dirt!!!!!

We come from Nebraska in the U.S. where we are known for our steak and my daughter says this was the best steak she has ever had! Order the 22 oz steak - it is enough for two people unless you are a steak fed Nebraska girl with an appetite. LOL

Was looking for somewhere to eat, with 2 under 5's. And just walked in. Service was 10/10 and the steak and ribs full of flavour.....definitely a must visit. Would come again 100%.

Came here after my graduation, nice location and good vibes. The food was good but nothing amazing, the portions were generous and the staff very friendly. It was a good location but perhaps I would consider other places!

dined at Black & Blue Waterloo, and while I found the steak to be excellent, the overall experience was slightly marred by the price. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful, clearly demonstrating the restaurant’s commitment to quality. The sides and sauces complemented the meal wonderfully, making for a satisfying dining experience.

Loud restaurant but nice hostess. Drink are decent but for a restaurant with a bull out front the burgers were badly overcooked and had zero flavor. Worse than McDonald’s, ribeye steak looked good but lacked seasoning. We also ordered 2 of the pork ribs and they too were badly overcooked. Dry and burned ribs with little BBQ sauce on the ribs meant this was a very expensive meal that was poorly prepared. Only good thing was we had a party of 11 that was seated immediately, but now we know why this place across from the Waterloo train station was empty.

I recently attended Azzuro, Waterloo after a matinee visit to Young Vic Theatre and was very surprised and greatly pleased by the experience. Over the years I have walked past the venue probably 100's of times, mainly on my way to or from South Bank, and have always seen it as an establishment where people 'hang out' in large groups outside the restaurant or seated at outdoor tables, looking as though they are uncomfortably and impatiently waiting to be attended to. Well, I needed to make use of my Tastecard in the Waterloo area on 5 June and came across a '2 for 1’ deal at ‘Azzuro’. I didn't realise that it was actually the place that I had passed so many times over the years, so was very surprised when I arrived. I was ushered in by Evalina, who I had spoken to on the phone to make my booking, and I was absolutely stunned by the massive interior, the very spacious and welcoming layout, the number of staff, and....... just everything! Once inside and seated, I found that the food menu options were plentiful, and the staff were engaging, warm, and friendly. I attended with my adult daughter and we were both very happy with our food choices and, of course, the potential Tastecard discount. We had starters, a main meal, and several non-alcoholic drinks. We didn't have dessert as we were too full from our starters and mains but the dessert options all looked pretty good. It's a shame that I had misjudged this venue for so many years, having only seen it from the outside. I had got it totally wrong. And, interestingly enough, when I left the venue at around 7 pm there were lots of people gathered outside, which is what I had become used to seeing over the years, but I had previously misjudged the scenario and had failed to appreciate what the restaurant had to offer on the inside. Well, NOW I KNOW!!

Tasteful and modern furnishings. The quality of the food and the service were impeccable. As almost always, we stayed true to the beef fillet.

Visited this restaurant with my family. We were greeted by a lovely staff member, who took us to our table and proceeded with our order. Food and drinks were of a good standard, however, it was the post meal service that was dreadful. As soon as finishing our meal, our plates were taken away (what I would expect), by a waiter (if I could call him that, who seemed to just walk around the restaurant and check the till). He failed to lift any empty glasses, we were not asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, if we would like any further drinks/coffee. We tried to get his attention, on a number of occasions, but he still carried on ignoring us. Having a child in our company. She always liked pudding, but this didn’t happen. I decided enough was enough, and paid the bill, on leaving I made my point known, that this was unacceptable and very poor customer service. As I said on leaving, my bill would have been more, if the customer service was better. Instead it wasn’t. I won’t be returning to this restaurant again, and I hope the management takes these comments constructively. There is a clear training need here.

Stumbled upon these guys and grabbed a table for my family, food was excellent, great friendly service, good value for money, deffo go back.

Our family looked up a restaurant in Waterloo and picked Black and Blue. Our server Patrick was amazing. He was so friendly and kind! Every time he left our table we all smiled and said how awesome he was. Thank you Patrick for making our meal such a great experience. Oh, and the food was the best meal we had in London!

In a two week holiday this was easily the worst food we were served. Tasted microwaved and at the speed it came out there is absolutely no way any of it was fresh cooked as the restaurant states. This is a pass for us.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. Reason to give less stars is that my medium cooked steak was raw on the sides and they have no draught beers.

Nice restaurant with great steaks!

Sharing steak was so tasty, cooked as requested. We asked for medium which it was, as my friend is always afraid to ask for nore rare, however could have done medium rare. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Quiet because it wasnt busy but still nice chilled atmosphere

I ordered a fillet steak medium rare, it arrived still mooing. As I had already asked to change the vegetables which were swimming in butter to be changed, I didn't have the heart to ask them to cook my steak as requested. Very expensive for mediocre food. Won't be going back. Staff are very pleasant though.

Went for dinner after work, convenient for commuters. Very nice cocktails, I had a caesar salad which good, no less or more than I expected. Shame I couldn't try any of the burgers as I was not too hungry on the day. Will definitely be going back

Tonight my friend came here to get coffee, after she went out, I went there to use the toilet, but I wasn't allowed in pointing to the station and man said there was a toilet there, they just didn't want to let me go to the toilet

Looking for a walk-in near Waterloo station. Managed to get a table straight away. Ordered off the Prix fix menu excellent value and portion size better than expected for a fixed price menu. Service was quick no fuss . Would definitely come here again.

Pretty good steak, went for the lesgest steak - it was sold to share but ate it myself. Size - was okay, not two people's worth Cooked - it was no blue, so overcooked formyself. Regardless it was lovely, good meat taste, a good cut of meat, seasoning could have been better! I would go again 😀 Their fire exit appears to be blocked by the bull however...

We didn't know where to eat and we went in to try it, it was one of the few times that after finishing eating I felt the need to leave you a great review. The meat was delicious and not to mention the garlic sauce (how wonderful). They give you knives as God intended that are a pleasure to use and both the treatment of the staff and the food is of quality. It's not the cheapest place but it's totally worth going at least once. Just one of the best meals we've ever had!! The sauce was DELICIOUS! (The garlic one) I would 100% recommend it! And yes, they give you a sharp knife.

Pleasantly very surprised - give the fact it's on the doorstep of Waterloo station - that this was a really great place for lunch. Super friendly service, an interesting railway arch room and nothing to fault on the food front - not too busy either.

The server was very friendly and the food was good. However, after paying and looking at the receipt, I saw that I added a tip of about 13%. This only seems to be the case for Asians. If you add a tip when paying, you can ask them to leave it out.

Very friendly, good reception, we had chesseburgers and sirloin steak. My steak was a little too raw, he took it straight back to the kitchen and gave me free sauce and fries. Was very nice and tasty.

came here on a school trip on sunday night and was absolutely delicious.The restaurant is super cute and all the waiting staff are so so lovely,we were a big group of around 16 and despite this all the food came in good time and everyone was really happy with their meals and were very well accommodated.I had the spaghetti bolognese which was the best i’ve ever had and also had the apple pie which was really delicious and my friends tried the chocolate brownie which was unsurprisingly also really good.thank you 💌

Always a safe bet for a quick spot of lunch - the pasta and seabass are lovely. A bit on the expensive side, but they accept Tastecard.

It was looking like a small corner pub from outside but looking closer we noticed that it has a big space inside. Service is good and quick. You think that all the foods within the burger section of the menu are burgers but surprisingly one of them (at least) was not a burger but a burger patty only which is "calori counter". They could have let us know during the order but may be the waitress also didn't know, I don't know.

Magical evening, DELICIOUS food (for everyone) Absolutely excellent service from Patrick - he is the prime example of superb customer service. All other staff provided excellent service too. 5 stars all round! Would give 10 stars if possible!

Absolutely love this restaurant, today was my second visit. The staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The food is lovely, as is the set menu which is excellent value for money. My medium rare steak was cooked perfectly. Decor and atmosphere lovely. My only regret today is that I didn’t have cash on me to tip the staff personally rather than pay the service charge, I do hope the staff get to see the tips.

It is a great central place to catch up with friends for a meal. Very friendly staff and tasty food.

I can only give 5 in everything. The Cosmopolitain was a real cocktail. The service staff is very attentive. The food is completely freshly prepared. The chicken breast on my Cesar salad was juicy and well fried. The prices are absolutely ok.

We had decided to eat lunch after arriving at Waterloo on the train before we made our way across London. The fact we had our luggage with us was no problem and we were shown to a table at the window which was great for watching the coming and goings. Our server, so sorry not good at remembering names, was attentive and made sure we were settled. Food and drinks ordered, they arrived in good time. The salmon was perfect, the chicken was really delicious and the side salad was lovely as was the burger. Quite expensive but then that close to Waterloo Station it was to be expected.

My girlfriend and I went here on Saturday when we were in Waterloo, and it honestly made our night. The food was fantastic (we both had the Burger Stack - highly recommend), the decor was lovely, and our server, Patrick, was one of the nicest people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and he made us feel like close friends. Absolutely superb service - I can't state it enough. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Waterloo!

Great service by Petro who went above and beyond, accomodating an unusual order. He was very attentive and friendly. 5* for his welcoming nature. The ribeye was a bit too well done and somewhat soggy. For the price, could've been much better.

Pretty pricey for what you get, but the location and convenience make it an easy option when you have a train to catch. No beers on tap, only bottles... Strange, but true!

This place has a great atmosphere and might be good for burgers and drinks, but don't expect the best-organized service or great steaks. After sitting down, it took about 5 minutes to be greeted by the server. He was a pleasant fellow, but English was not his first language. We order our drinks and appetizers. About 5 minutes later, we had another server come to take our drink order again. We explained that it had already been placed, but he said no matter - it mattered to me, I did not need to order it twice. For the main course, I ordered sirloin steak - medium, salad, and fries (these were the options). The steak was so tough that my fork could not stab it, and my steak knife struggled to cut it. In addition, the fat was poorly trimmed. If you are looking for a night out with friends for bar food and drink, this place is fine. However, if you are taking someone on a date for dinner, avoid Black and blue Waterloo.

Awful steak 🥩 I ordered a rib eye cooked “black and blue” and it arrived so overcooked! medium / well and tough. The meat lacked flavour. They recooked but the second attempt was similarly bad. My friend had half finished his meal at this point. And I was too embarrassed to send it back again. The staff were nice but it can not make up for pour quality food.

Went for birthday dinner last night. Great food, great cocktails and Great Service. Highly recommend the Pink Martini, Ribeye Steak, Apple pie....in fact it was all good!

Silly prices. We came for drinks only. While the place seemed ok, and the staff were fine, we had to pay £25 for two glasses of white wine. Ridiculous. Avoid.

Just a run of the mill restaurant near the train station. Very busy. Food was decent but nothing to write home about.

Don’t go there unless you like food from microwave!!! Unbelievable! We were waiting for the waitress to order a food longer than for a food its own! Tasteless and not fresh! Gordon Ramsey should visit this place and fix it. The service is not nice as well, but prices are high! Don’t recommend it! Wasting my money and time.

Splendid dining experience! The staff were lovely and friendly, the menu oh my I was unsure what to choose as it looked mouth watering I finally settled on the spaghetti bolognaise I was getting to hungry to make a decision but I was very happy with it, the mrs got the risotto and she enjoyed all of it

Great place ! Food - madness! Chicken on a stick and crispy chicken legs appetizers - amazing - they sold like hot cakes. Main course: steak with salad, burger with guacamole, chicken with fries - all delicious! Dessert - Warm brownie with ice cream - yum. Service - professional and always at hand. Extremely polite. If you want to eat well, I highly recommend coming here.

Happy with the experience for walking in without a wait on V-Day. Place was full and servers were busy, but friendly to assist when we had their attention. The food and drinks were good overall. Ribeye and burger both hit the spot. Ate all the chips. Convenient location outside of Waterloo Station and in Southbank. If they can dial down the grilling so the meats are just a hair less charcoaled that would make things taste even better. Salad was wilted but who really cares. Look forward to coming back for happy hour and steaks.

We popped in for a quick drink. This pub is located opposite Waterloo station and my friend was catching the tube from there. The wine was very nice, clean restrooms, and quick service.

I had The steak and chips which was fabulous it was cooked to perfection just the way I wanted it done. Great red wine. We had a great evening celebrating a Birthday. The restaurant done a lovely Birthday dessert and we all sang Happy with the Staff they were all fantastic very attentive and on point. Very friendly Restaurant you are made to feel very welcome

Das Blue&Black Restaurant in Waterloo bot eine enttäuschende Gesamterfahrung. Als Vorspeise bekam ich das Poulet Spiess, es war in Curry mariniert worden, es schmeckte interessant, scheint tiefgefroren gebraten worden zu sein. Zu der Hauptspeise ein ca. 260g Rumpsteak, es wirkte klein, die Pommes waren knackig, aber zu fettig und die Knoblauchbutter enttäuschte mit ihrem simplen Geschmack. Das Personal war uneinheitlich freundlich, der Service liess zu wünschen übrig. Ausserdem wirkte es, dass es zu viel Personal gäbte. Zu dem Steak erhielten wir einen Salat mit schlecht geschnittenem, frischem Eisbergsalat, begleitet von einer französischen Sauce, Walnüssen und geriebener Mozzarella, die leider geschmacklich enttäuschte. Insgesamt eine wenig zufriedenstellende kulinarische Erfahrung.

Nice place, clean and conveniently right next to the station. Food is good but selection a bit limited and nothing “special” but did the job nonetheless. Staff were nice and helpful but not making much effort although it was a slow Tuesday. A safe bet for food food I’d say

I wish I had gone to the KFC next door. The steak was completely flavorless other than the slight hint of cigarette they cooked it over. Very rare even though i ordered it medium. The side of rice I got was literally just plain white rice. Service was okay but for a £50 meal it could have been much better

This place really surprised me! I pass through Waterloo a lot, and always see this place when I leave the station but today was my first time actually giving it a go and I was impressed! The food was fairly priced and really good! Our group got the spinach and artichoke dip, bacon cheeseburger, sausage and mash, and ribs. The cocktails were probably my favourite part of the experience though, so so delicious and lots of choice! Friendly, helpful staff and fast service too. Will definitely come back again for the espresso martinis.

Was fully booked however, the lady meeting and greeting kindly squeezed us in as we had limited time before heading to a show. The atmosphere was bustling, had a hood vibe, the staff were so organised and people in the restaurant received their orders timely. No rush to kick us out dispite being booked up and food was satisfying. First time at a black and blue and I will return. Set menu is good value. I have regularly visited azzurro with friends, work colleagues and my partner. Service always good and food and drink selection wide..last time i visited the pizzas have definitely shrunk considerably! I had the azzurro pizza which included ham which I am sure I only found about 5 small cubes. It was tasty but I wasnt as full as I used to be when ive had a pizza there, and probably could have eaten the same sized pizza again! My friend commented the same I will still be back as great location and convenient for friends to meet up.
