Not a pizza lover but the thinest pizza to die for

Such a wonderful team! Andy, Tina, and Damo always go above and beyond to ensure we feel valued and well taken care of.

Not really the best pizza for me , too thin . You end up with hungry.

Just don’t bother. Picked up my napkin but it was stuck to the table and tore apart- not sure what the sticky crud was that it was stuck to, but the place absolutely needs a deep clean. My drink - they put mint in it which wasn’t just on the turn, it was positively rotten. Asked for no mint in the next one- the limes in both were BROWN. Folks- you’re possibly keeping your lime wedges in soda water. That stopped circa 1985. Either way, don’t give people brown limes. If the kitchen hygiene is as bad as the bar, the place should be shut down. Got my order wrong. Arrancini were greasy and cold. Rocket salat was wilting. Nobody asked how the food was. Just go to Nando’s over the road- PE is extremely overpriced for what it is. Awful.

Worst lasagne ever tasted in my life

I have been multiple times and normally have a fairly decent experience. It is not uncommon for them to fail to deliver ordered items but they normally take it off the bill after they deliver it late. In my recent visit I asked for a vegan menu, I was told to just find the vegan items on the regular menu. After reading the menu it said in writing to ask for the vegan menu, so I asked our waitress and she quickly got the menu and informed that they can also switch the cheese on most pizza to the vegan cheese. It was incredibly loud due to them hosting a school leavers event, and they were also very busy dealing with that party. Meaning that when my table had 2 out of 3 starters arrive, I couldn't let a staff member know as it was a rare sight for them to come over to our section instead of all hands dealing with the event. The staff were all polite but it was poorly managed, at least one member of staff should of been focusing on all other customers instead of all working the event tables. My starter eventually came at the same time as my main, it was given to me for free but that wasn't a great deal as I get them free with my pizza express app anyway. Overall the waitresses were polite and apologetic, but it wasn't their fault that they were poorly managed. The food itself was good, and the app makes it a decent price.

I dropped in to Pizza Express Bury on a midweek evening with my mum. The service was swift, and very friendly. The food is simple but effective. We enjoyed our pizzas, but the dough balls were the highlight. Very moreish. I hadn’t previously been to Pizza Express in years, and I was pretty impressed. Thanks guys!

The top 3 longest waits in life. 1) A Miracle 2) Your food at Pizza Express Bury 3) Your numbers on the lottery. Absolutely pathetic. Kids in Africa got a meal before I did.

Came with a party of 10 of us yesterday. Josh was fantastic couldn’t do enough for us. The manager who made the booking was fabulous, took all the stress of booking for a large group away. Pre orders were all correct, bill paying was all split perfectly. Food was so good.

One of my very first jobs in F&B was as a pizzaiola for Pizza Express back in the days of marble table tops and live jazz bands. Whenever I'm back in UK, I always go back and find a Pizza Express chef who can make my favourite - Capriciosa - despite the fact it's been off the menu for decades. Today I chose Pizza Express, The Rock, Bury. The second I walked in, I could tell they were in the weeds. They really didn't have space for us. But Josh shifted things around and managed to find us table. He Googled the ingredients for my obsolete pizza and the back of house staff managed a decent effort at creating one. If there was one issue, it was that the venue was severely understaffed. Two servers and a runner were trying to take care of about 90 covers. They did an excellent job under very difficult circumstances and the owners/management should be very proud of them and recognise their dedication and hard work.

Josh was amazing. We were a table of 9 and he was so attentive. He took pictures of us as a group when asked, no issues. We pre booked our food due to being a larger group, he took drink orders at the table as we came in and remembered our food order from what drink we had. He couldn’t have done anymore for us. Very happy with the experience. Food was fantastic but Josh made the experience as a whole.

Was really looking forward to our pizza express delivery this evening sadly the mozzarella and tomato salad was awful and very small and the dough balls were dry cold and had no garlic flavouring at all spent over £50 and most of it will go in the bin

Dropped in today to be greeted by a lovely lady showed to my table and had myself a lovely carbonara pizza…everything was perfect about this place…#payitforward good vibes all around definitely worth a look this place 💯

We love Pizza Express. We go as a treat. We recently took some friends and we're shocked by the price increases. It seems we weren't the only ones shocked by this as the restaurant was virtually empty with little to no atmosphere. Rather than having the larger crispier based pizzas with a glass of wine or beer we were forced have a small classic pizza with a glass of water. I doubt we will be returning.

I’ve been going to this branch of Pizza Express ever since it opened 10 years ago. It has the most fabulous atmosphere and food! The service is always impeccable, and a particular star of the team is Josh, who always conducts himself with the best attitude and enthusiasm. 🍕

We were greeted quickly and staff were really friendly, asked us if we had any preference on seating which I thought was really nice (as well as allergies). We were asked if we wanted drinks and everything was brought out really quickly. Staff serving were really attentive but in a subtle way which again was just really nice. Nothing was too much trouble.

Absolutely brilliant service by Josh , he was fantastic with our daughter who sometimes struggles in restaurants but he remembered her from last time ans went above and beyond with her

The only thing that let this down was not being told a dish was off the menu. There's nothing worse than picking a meal only to be told it's not available. Fix that, then it's five stars across the board. Food was piping hot, freshly cooked, service was very good too.

Little disappointed with the price and presentation of the Calzone Nduja. I've had much better Calzone so can't recommend that particular dish. It looked like it was made using a smaller base than ordering one of the normal pizzas and folding it. The other pizzas we ordered were all fine and everyone enjoyed them. That being said the place was clean and the staff were all friendly. I would go back definitely.

I took my class of year one children for a free pizza making experience. The staff (Bill and Callum) were amazing and the children had a thoroughly great time. Would highly recommend!

We often visit this restaurant with our grandchildren as it has everything we need . My husband is coeliac and both my grandchildren and he loves pizza. the food is consistently good but we arrived today and the staff were rushed off their feet. We spoke with Josh who apologised and said he would sort us a table asap which bless him he did and for another 2 parties that we’re waiting. This may I say was a good day on others we have been sent away as I think due to being under staffed. I’m looking into sourcing another family restaurant. Although I love pizza express it’s simply not worth the hassle

Thank you for the amazing pizza making party for my sister’s birthday. We had a great time on Wednesday Evening with the family there. I am grateful for Bilal and and Angelica who attended our every needs. Their customer service was exceptional, as well as their interactions with us while hosting the party. My favourite thing about pizza express is Ricky! I am autistic and like to be in the same spot and order the same thing. Ricky remembers my order always and today rather than bringing me my regular blackcurrant cordial, brought me water and cordial in a little jug and said “I noticed you usually leave a lot of your drink, so I brought you this then you can have it the way you like it” - if that’s not outstanding customer service, then I don’t know what is. The food is great and the whole team are wonderful. It’s definitely a safe space for me to retreat to when I’m out in public. Thank you

I cannot praise this restaurant enough!! My daughter had her 9th birthday party on Sunday and the team at Pizza Express, Bury were brilliant. Andy took the booking and Bilal and another chef lead the Pizza Making Party. From start to finish I couldn’t fault a single thing. They went above and beyond to make sure that my daughter, her friends and even us adults were looked after. The food was delicious and we all had a ball!! Thank you ☺️

Restaurant was only about half full, but it took ages for our food to arrive. Went for a meal before a show at The Lowry and allowed plenty of time, but as food took so long we did not have time to have desert. Garlic bread with cheese was very small and not very hot. Pizza was also only warm. Cannelloni was lovely and piping hot. Coleslaw had no mayonnaise! Restaurant was clean and tidy but was quite cool especially as it was so cold outside. Tried to download the app to receive free dough balls but couldn't get it to work. Entrance is wheelchair friendly but as it has a lot of furniture you would struggle to manoeuvre. We were asked on arrival whether we had any dietary restrictions. Nearest parking is in The Lowry multi storey car park. Wouldn't go again.

We had planned to eat here on new year's eve but due to coming down with covid we have had to stay in so I placed a order on uber and then called the restaurant to make some changes to one of the pizzas Andy answered the call and was extremely helpful in making sure I got exactly what I wanted the pizzas we delicious so a huge thank you to Andy for going out of his way to help

Have eaten here in many occasions as it’s close by and never disappoints. The food is always perfect and they have great options for ours kids. Tina is an amazing waitress nothing is ever too much trouble

Came to bury to visit a mate for uni, initially was upset by the idea of pizza express, but Sophie made it a very enjoyable experience. Lovely food, lovely pizza and lovely staff. Would recommend !

We always know we can rely on Pizza Express for a good meal but Josh was incredible - the restaurant was clearly busy but Josh efficiently looked after everyone with amazing customer service - we felt like we could’ve been the only ones in the restaurant with how attentive and great he was, despite looking after so many of us at the same time! We went to Pizza Express this morning on a school trip, the children had an amazing time. Bill could not have made the experience more enjoyable for them and us. They got to create their own pizzas, and they were in their words “the best pizzas in the world” from start to finish it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be booking every year! Great service and excellent food

The food was outstanding, the service from the waiter at lunch time was absolutely appalling not just our table but the faces on other tables, hardly any customers in yet everything was a trouble, menus slapped down in-front of us, main courses given without taking starter plates away, no change off cutlery from start to finish, no interest in anyone in shop and had the audacity to leave the card payment machine on the TIP section, treat your customers better. If you want good food but absolutely shocking service, this is the place.

Barely anyone in here, around 7-9 tables and yet were waiting over half an hour for the bill, staff were incredibly unhelpful and came off rude and annoyed we asked twice for the bill. Food was decent, nothing outstanding. Overall not a great experience

Very slow service when the restaurant wasn't busy. Had to ask how long the food would be, no update the staff member just loitered by the chefs whilst waiting for it. Think our order had been forgotten. No apology or time frame. Food wasn't particularly hot when it was bought to the table. No one checked how the meal was part way through eating either.

Excellent service from Andy, not many other resturants will serve a group of teenagers. Was also very helpful with the assorted payment methods the group was using. No complaints.
